Starting in 2006 Aaron Bennett could be found on WCIA-TV as a sports reporter, sports anchor, and eventually a news anchor. In 2018 Aaron left television for a position at Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois.
In this episode Aaron and I talk about loyal small town sports fans, having a "normal" schedule, why a good sportscast is more than just scores and highlights, and how an idea for a news story goes from concept to air.
