Show Notes

Everybody knows Cyndi Lauper’s big hit, “Girls Just want to have Fun”, but not so well-known is her career since then - a star-turn on “We are the World”, a string of great albums including Billboard's Blues Album of the Year, and writing “Kinky Boots”, a hit Broadway musical, all contribute to her story.

Our album "To Listen To Before You Die" this week – Leonard Cohen’s “Songs of Love and Hate” - is chock-full of understated songs and amazing turns of phrase. Show regulars will know that Mick loves it, and Jeff not so much.  Tune in to find out why.

Jeff takes a look at Extreme Ironing as an up-and-coming sport, and the boys look at how one of Elon Musk’s batteries could boost tourism to Central Australia by allowing a pizza shop and ice-creamery to open in the country’s most remote parts.
