EP 131: You’re Ahead of the Game

Hi, family. I'm Jordan Thorpe, and this is Jordan's Journey Channel where we are moving forward in life and in faith. If you're new here, welcome. If you're already subscribed to the family, welcome back. Thank you so much for tuning in. And today, family, I wanted to talk to you in regards to many of you are being sent forth. Many of you are being sent forth. And in my previous video entitled, God has given you front row seats for a reason. Many of you have experienced God in a way that most people have not experienced Him because you are seeking Him, because you are seeking righteousness, because you are doing the work, because you are turning away from your wicked ways and living set apart, living holy. You are experiencing God in a way that most people have not experienced God. And God has intentionally given you front row seats to his presence, to his miracles, to his glory, because you are being sent forth. You are being sent out into another level of your calling, into another level of your assignment. You have completed the work in the environment that you are in. You have completed the work there. Your work there is complete and you are moving on. There were certain people that were called to you, that God has called you to to help deliver, to help set free, to help bring them out of the dark and into the light. Now, some people accepted and some people did not, but you did what you were supposed to do, which was be the light. You brought truth, you brought wisdom, you brought understanding, whether or not they accepted that information or rejected you, they are going to be left to their own fate. But you have warned them. And so now you are being sent forth to another part of your calling, another parts of your assignment where there were certain things that God allowed you to experience so you can have the boldness and confidence as He sends you out amongst wolves and sheep's clothing. Let's read some scripture. Let's go to Luke, Luke 10, verse 1. It says, Jesus sends out his disciples. It says, The Lord now chose 72 other disciples and sent them ahead in pairs to all the towns and places he planned to visit. These were his instructions to them. The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest. Ask him to send more workers into his fields. Now go and remember that I am sending you out as lambs among wolves. Don't take any money with you, nor a traveler's bag, nor an extra pair of sandals, and don't stop to greet anyone on the road. Whenever you enter someone's home, first say, May God's peace be on this house. If those who live there are peaceful, the blessings will stand. If they are not, the blessing will return to you. Don't move around from home to home. Stay in one place, eating and drinking what they provide. Don't hesitate to accept hospitality because those who work deserve their pay. If you enter a town and it welcomes you, eat whatever is set before you. Heal the sick and tell them the kingdom of God is near you now. The Lord then chooses 72 other disciples and sends them ahead and to in pairs to all the towns and places he plans to visit. So many of you are being sent ahead. God is propelling you forward. It may have felt like you have been behind or left behind, but really this was all preparation to propel you because you're really ahead of the game. What God has you doing is really ahead of the game. Your mindset is really ahead of the game. So God has sent you ahead and He's placing you in towns he plans to visit. So many of you are being relocated. You're being relocated and positioned so you can prepare for the visitation of the Holy Spirit. So you can prepare and bring forth what God wants to do in that city, in that town. Many of you, God is calling you to a particular city. See, when you are surrendered to God and his will for your life, your location is important. God cares about where we live. And God oftentimes chooses where he wants to plant us according to his will, according to what he wants to do in that city, in that town. So that's why it's very important that when we are seeking God when it comes to our living situation, that we are in alignment for what God has already prepared for us. Because when you are not in alignment and in places and spaces where the presence of God is not, you will reap the consequences of that. But oftentimes when you are surrendered to the will of God, there's going to be a place prepared for you that He has prepared for you to advance His kingdom according to what He wants to do in that city, according to the strongholds he wants to fight in that city. So many of you are being placed in environments and in cities where God wants to move, where God wants to move in that city, where God wants to do a new thing in that city. Many of you are being prepared to be in environments where God is doing a new thing. And you are parts. Many of you are embarking on a great harvest. You're embarking on a great harvest because you have surrendered to the call and the assignment that is on your life. You have surrendered to the work. You have decided to do the work of God, to be the hands and feet of God in the earth. And so there is a harvest connected to doing the will of God in your life. He says, the harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who was in charge of the harvest. Ask him to send more workers into the fields. He says there is so much harvest, so much abundance, so much overflow that you need to be praying and asking that God sends more workers. Because these assignments, these tasks are so large at hand that there's not enough workers in the field. There's not enough people who are surrendering, who are who are on the path of righteousness, who are turning from their wicked ways. But there's such a great harvest that you are needing to pray and ask God that there is more people who are in the field, who are on the front line, and not just taking a back seat. Many of you know what to do. You know what God is calling you to do. You know right from wrong. You see the deception right in front of your face, but you still choose to turn a blind eye. Because you're like, well, what does that have to do with me? And God is saying you are gonna be held responsible for the things that you know are wrong and turned a blind eye to. Many of you have taken a back seat and you're supposed to be on the front line, but you haven't taken your rightful position because you're too afraid of what people are gonna say. You're too afraid about people talking about you, you're too ashamed of your past. And God is saying, that doesn't matter. I have called you to more, I have called you to greatness. Many of you are walking into a great harvest, abundance, plenty, more than enough, and you are elevating in your assignment. God has entrusted you with little, and because you were a good steward over the small thing, your territory has expanded. What God has entrusted you with has expanded. Your territory has expanded. You have gone into another level of your assignment. He says, Don't take any money with you, nor traveler's bag, nor extra pair of sandals, and don't stop to greet anyone. Many of you are going to be traveling. You're gonna see that things are gonna start to pick up and you're gonna be traveling. There's gonna be more movement. Many of you, God has had you planted, He's had you planted because He's been deeply rooting you. He's been installing some roots, so you have a firm foundation to build from. And so that season has come to an end. So you are going to see some more movement. You're going to be moving around. If we go down to Luke 18, Luke 18, where Jesus is talking about the power and authority that you have been given. As a disciple of Jesus Christ, you have been given power and authority. And so Luke 10, 18, it reads, Yes, he told them, I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning. Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you, but don't rejoice because evil spirits obey you. Rejoice because your names are registered in heaven. So as Jesus is continuing to give instructions to the disciples as he's sending them out. He's sending them out. And he says, Satan is in this realm. He is in this dimension. But he says, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Jesus is telling them, There is nothing you need to be afraid of because I have given you all the power and authority through my name. Many of you, part of your training was spiritual warfare. You were intentionally put in situations of spiritual warfare in your environment that you are exiting from. And you were put in that environment also to sharpen your sword, to understand how to fight in the spirit, to understand the power and authority that was given to you. Jesus is telling them as he's sending them forth, there is nothing you should be afraid of because I have given you all power and authority. You can walk, walk among snakes and scorpions. Many of you are in environments where these people have the spirits of the enemy, have evil spirits, and you're walking among them, and they can't touch you. They can't touch you because you're protected, and you also understand the power and authority that you possess. You can be walking among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Many of you are accepting spiritual warfare that you don't even have to accept it. God is saying if you would just open your mouth and understand the power and authority that you possess that I have given you, you wouldn't even have to deal with this if you didn't want to, because you have the power to end it. He says, nothing will injure you. They cannot kill you, they cannot stop you, they cannot try to override the will of God for your life. God is saying you have the power and authority. Understand the power that you possess, understand that demons have to tremble at the command of you. I want to go to Matthew. Matthew 8. And it reads, Jesus heals many people. Matthew 8 14. It says, When Jesus arrived at Peter's house, Peter's mother-in-law was sick in bed with a high fever. But when Jesus touched her hand, the fever left her. Then she got up and prepared a meal for him. That evening, many demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus. He cast out the evil spirits with a simple command and he healed all the sick. This fulfilled the word of the Lord through the prophet Isaiah, who said, He took our sickness and removed our diseases. Jesus arrives at Peter's mother-in-law, who was sick in bed, but when she touched her hand, the fever left her. Many of you, just by your presence, because you have been consumed with the presence of God, because you have been at the face of God, just by your presence, people will be better. People will become better. You don't even have to say a word. They can look at you and they can feel the power of God. And things will be broken off of them just because you carry the presence of God. God is saying, understand what you are carrying when the Holy Spirit is with you. People will be set free. People will be delivered just by your presence. You don't even have to lay of hands. Jesus, in the next sentence, it says, That evening, many demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus. He cast evil spirit spirits with a simple command and healed the many of you just by the words that you speak the commands. He's not saying he was talking to the spirits. He's not saying he was praying the spirits out. He was commanding the spirits to come out. It was the command. The command is telling that thing what to do. You were telling it what to do. You were not asking permission for it to leave, but you were telling it that it needs to leave. That is what a command is. Let me look up a definition of a command. Jesus was casting out demons through commands by speaking. So a command, this is just a Google definition. And it says a command is an authoritative directive or instruction given to direct an action system or behavior. So it's an authoritative directive instruction. So you are giving instruction. You are directing it. This is how you command things to move. You have the power and authority to command the mountain in your life to move. You have the power and authority to cast out evil spirits from yourself and from other people. God is saying, I'm sending you forth with power and authority, and you have to understand the power that you carry. Being at my feet and being in my presence comes with power and authority in Jesus' name. Jesus didn't have to lay hands on people to cast out spirits for them to be healed. All he had to do was command. His presence was healing people. If they touched him, people were healed. And so God is saying, I have given you the same power and authority. As I'm sending you forth into this new beginning, into this next level of your assignment and what I'm calling you to do. He's saying there's nothing you should be afraid of because I have given you power and authority. There are going to be people in these cities, in these towns, and these new environments that I'm putting you in front of that are connected to your assignment, that are connected to what I'm calling you to do in that city. And you need to walk in there with the boldness and confidence, understanding that you have the power and authority through Jesus Christ. There is nothing that you should be afraid of. There is nothing that should be holding you back. There is nothing that should be stopping you from completing the work that God has started in you. Okay. And so God is sending you forth.
