Hi, family. I'm Jordan Thorpe, and this is Jordan's Journey Channel where we are moving forward in life and in faith. If you're new here, welcome. If you're already subscribed to the family, welcome back. Thank you so much for tuning in. And today, family, I wanted to talk to you in regards to you have come out of the fire unharmed. Okay, many of you have come out of the fire unharmed. You do not look like what you have been through. Okay. And so in my previous video, I was talking about you are being sent forth into new territory, into new environments. And it's important that you understand the power and authority that you carry. The power and authority that God has given us through the Holy Spirit. So that you are properly using and activating the power and authority that God has given you. There is no reason why you should be stuck. There is no reason why you should not be fighting against any attacks of the enemy, any hardships, any struggles, because you have the tools to do so. You have the tools to overcome. And the word it tells us, in the word it tells us that we will face trials, we will face tribulations in this world. But then Jesus also tells us to take heart because he already overcame the world. And because Christ lives in us and he already overcame the world, that means we have already overcome. We have the ability to overcome anything that is facing us. And so now that you understand who you are, you understand your position, you understand what you carry, God is sending you forth into your next. And many of you, God has intentionally placed you in the belly of the well. There's scriptures that tell us that God will correct those that He loves. And many times when we are going down the wrong path, when we are in the wrong environment, when we have the wrong people around us, God will intentionally cause things to crumble. He will intentionally cause things to fail so that he can redirect us. It's kind of like the saying: rejection is God's protection. He will intentionally cause things to happen to us that look like we are drowning, that looks like we are going backwards, it looks like we may even be failing, but it's actually in reality God's protection because there has to be some adjustments. This is the only way he can get your attention. Because sometimes we can be so caught up in our own will. We can be so caught up in our own desires. We can be so caught up in our own goals. We can be so caught up in what we want and what looks good. And God is like, hey, if I can just get your attention, there's something over here. I know it's not what you thought. I know it's not coming packaged how you thought it was gonna look look like. But if you just can can obey, if you can just follow me, if you can just trust me, there's something over here that I need you to do. And if I can just get you to turn, if I can just get you to change direction, many of you had to change direction, many of you had to start over. You set out and started something, and it didn't quite turn out as planned, and you kind of had to go back and start over. But God is saying, I had to redirect you. That's that wasn't the path that I had for you, and so sometimes redirection can look like you're being swallowed in the belly of the well. Sometimes redirection can look like you are surrounded by your enemies. Sometimes redirection can look like you are in spaces and environments surrounded by people that you don't want to be in or don't want to be near, but it is part of the process. You know that you need to be there because it's part of your development, it's actually helping your development, it's actually helping your process, you're actually coming out better, and many of you have been swallowed. God intentionally allowed you to get swallowed up in the belly of the whale so that he can redirect you. And now you were coming out better than ever. This time, when you come out, you're never looking back. This time when you come out, you're ready. And so we see this in the story of Jonah. And Jonah 1:17, it says, Now the Lord had arranged for a great fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was inside the fish for three days and three nights. So if you're unfamiliar with the story of Jonah, God told Jonah to get up and go to Nivea to announce his judgment. God told Jonah to get up and go to Nivea to announce his judgment because God saw how wicked the people are. Many of you were sent to places that you didn't want to go because you were a messenger. God had you there because you were a messenger, you were the light. Because you would have not voluntarily left your circumstances to go to a place, to go to the place that you didn't want to go. So he had everything crumble so that you had no other choice to go. And you thought you were going there because it was punishment, but really you were sent there as a messenger. You were sent in this place of chaos, you were sent to a place that you were in close connection to wicked people because you were a messenger, you were on an assignment, and then it says in verse 2, but Jonah got up and went in the opposite direction to get away from the Lord. And so many of you, when God called you to get up and go, to get up and go back, or to get up and go to the environment that you once left, and you're like, God, why am I going back? Why am I placed here? No one likes me. I don't feel comfortable here. I'm surrounded by all these wicked people. God said, Because you were the light and the dark. And you would have never gone on your own. You were going in the opposite direction that I was asking you to go. And so all the things had to crumble so that you can start over on a firm foundation. And Jonah was so rebellious and running from God that God arranged in verse 17 for a great fish to swallow Jonah. Many of you are not even being attacked by the enemy. But God has arranged and orchestrated things not to work out because he had to get your attention because you were going in the opposite direction. God said, You should be glad that relationship didn't work out. You should be glad that you left that environment. You should be glad that you left that city. You should be glad that you left that state. That wasn't my will for you. You were going in the total opposite direction. And so, as you were going in the total opposite direction, I arranged for you to be in the belly of the well. The enemy didn't do that, I did that. And even though you were in the belly of the well, the well couldn't swallow you. Even though you were surrounded by your enemies, even though you were surrounded by wicked people, they couldn't take you out, they couldn't touch you. Matter of fact, you're coming out of the belly of the well better than how you started. You were coming out of the fire unburnt. Many of you were placed in the fire, but the fire cannot consume you. And people are looking at you and trying to understand how you are still here. How could you have been surrounded by wickedness? How could you be living in environments of chaos and still thriving because you were sent by God? You were sent by God. As Jonah was in the belly of the well, Jonah begins to pray. He begins to pray in verse 2. He says, I cried out to the Lord in my great trouble, and he answered me. I called to you from the land of the dead, and Lord, you heard me, you threw me into the ocean depths, and I sank down to the heart of the sea. I sank beneath the waves, and the waters closed over me, seaweed wrapped itself around my head, I sank down to the very roots of the mountains. But you, O Lord my God, snatched me from the jaws of death. As my life was slipping away, I remembered the Lord, and my earnest prayer went out to you in your holy temple. Those who worship false gods turn their backs on all God's mercies, but I will offer sacrifices to you with songs of praise, and I will fulfill all my vows, for my salvation comes from the Lord alone. Then the Lord ordered the fish to spit Jonah out onto the beach. Jonah had to humble himself unto the Lord. He had to humble himself, and the Lord heard him and ordered the whale to spit him out. Nothing does not happen to you that God doesn't allow. And many of you are coming out of the fire unharmed. You were coming out of the belly of the whale, unswallowed by the well, not overtaken by the well, because you understand the power of the living God. You understand the power of the Holy Spirit. You understand who God is in your life because you humbled yourself, because you humbled yourself. See, many of you were blaming other people for your problems. You were blaming other people, you were blaming your circumstances. Well, if I could have done this, if I should have done that. Nothing doesn't happen to you that God does not allow. So if you have a problem, if you have an issue, if you have to take it to God in peep in prayer, not man. So there had to be a shift in the mindset so that you understand that God is in control, that you have the power from the Holy Spirit within you to shift things in your life. You have the power to command things to move in your life. And that's what you had to understand in the belly. You had to even understand who you were, that I just didn't call you into this. I didn't just call you into this chaos and call you to be immersed around wickedness so that you can drown. Because I thought that you were wicked, you thought that this was punishment. God said, I sent you there as a messenger. There were some things that you had to learn, you had to experience me in a way that you haven't experienced me before. How do you know that I can rescue you? How do you know that I am king of kings if you've never been in a situation that you need it rescued? How can you know that I'm a provider if you've never been in a situation where you need to provide it for? God said, I had to show you who I am in the belly of the well. I had to show you that you can be around fire and not get burned. Because I am that I am. You are protected, because you have the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit has the power to overcome everything. Everything has to submit in Jesus' name. Many of you, God has ordered, He has ordered for the for the well to spit you out. He said, the Lord ordered the fish to spit Jonah out onto a beach, onto a beach. It wasn't onto a river, it wasn't on onto land, onto a beach. But I don't know about you. A beach sounds pretty nice to me. And some of you were swallowed by the well, but God said he's spitting you out onto a beach, he's spitting you out onto something nice, he's spitting you out onto something that you can relax on. Because many of you have been in hostile situations, hostile circumstances, hostile environments. God said he's placing you into something nice. He's not just placing you anywhere, he placed Jonah onto a beach when he was done. When Jonah was done learning his lessons. God said many of you were being placed and sent to places that are nice, like more than than what you thought. Relaxing, peaceful. And so God is saying, Yeah, you were you were in the belly of the well, yeah, you were surrounded by wickedness, yeah, you were in the fire, but they couldn't touch you, it couldn't consume you, it couldn't take you out because it didn't have the power to take you out. God said, I had to show you how powerful you were. But how could you understand how powerful you were? How could you understand how powerful the Holy Spirit is working within you if you never had to use those powers? If you never really faced anything, any adversity, you wouldn't know. But God had to awaken that power and authority within you, and now He is spitting you out. You are being released on in into an environment that is peaceful, relaxing, that is nice. Okay, and so that's all I have for now. If you need additional resources to help you grow in life and faith, make sure you check the description box below.
