Hi, family. I'm Jordan Thorpe, and this is Jordan's Journey Channel where we are moving forward in life and in faith. If you're new here, welcome. If you're already subscribed to the family, welcome back. Thank you so much for tuning in. And today, family, I wanted to talk to you in regards to God is uplifting you from your oppressor. God is uplifting you from your oppressor. And so in my previous message entitled, They Finally Know That You're the One, I was talking about many times when we are surrendered to God and we are being obedient to the will of God in our life, God will send us places that we do not necessarily want to go. God will send us in places and environment and spaces that we would not necessarily choose for ourselves. But once you surrender your life to God and you ask God to use you as a vessel, your life is not your own. So many times God will send you to places not because he's punishing you, not because you want to be there simply because you are on an assignment, because now you are the hands and feet of God in the earth. You are his mouthpiece, you are a messenger. And so we saw this in the story of Jonah. When God told Jonah to deliver a message to Niveah, Jonah went in the opposite direction and his disobedience cost him. And not only cost him, but it cost everyone that was surrounded him inside the boat. But once Jonah humbled himself and prayed and got back on track, the well spit him out, and he was able to go on his way. And so you can run from God all you want, but eventually you're gonna do you can run all you want, but eventually you're gonna do what God has called you to do. You can't run from destiny. Has anyone ever tried to run from destiny? You can't do it. Because things will just start happening, and doors will just start closing to the point where you have no other choice but to do what God is telling you to do in that moment. But today we're talking about God is uplifting you, God is uplifting you from your oppressors. We are in a time where God is bringing judgment on people who were not very kind to you. He is bringing judgment on people who had ill will and ill intentions towards you. As you were being obedient and doing the things that God was calling you to do and saying the things that God was calling you to say, everyone didn't like it. Everyone didn't like what you were saying, everyone didn't like what you were doing. In fact, it intimidated them. And so as they were being intimidated, it caused jealousy, it caused envy, it caused for people to talk about you, to look down on you. And you would say, God, well, why am I here if these people do not like me? Because you were on an assignment, but God does not play around with his children because he has the best revenge. He saw everything, he heard everything, every lie that was up against you, and all of those lies and gossiping has turned around and ricocheted onto them. And God says he is bringing judgment on the oppressors, judgment on people that tried to keep you down, judgment on people that tried to manipulate you, judgment on people who tried to take you out, who were plotting and scheming against you because they didn't know when they were plotting and scheming against you, they were going against the will of God. And when you go against the kingdom of God, all heaven breaks loose. When God chooses you and sets you apart, you become a target for the enemy at birth. You become a target because the enemy understands your assignment and understands what you're carrying. Many times when God chooses you and sets you apart, a lot of times you're surrounded by people and family who you don't connect with, who are who are coming against you because the enemy is using them to try to block your destiny. For a long time, many of you have been surrounded by people who did not have your best interest because they understood the assignment and the calling that was on your life. You they have tried to abuse you spiritually, mentally, maybe even physically. They have tried to do everything to keep you bound, to keep you from recognizing and becoming who God has called you to be, because that is a part of their the enemy's assignment. They have been assigned to you to try to keep you bound, just like when the the birth of Jesus, when Jesus was born, there there was an attack, an assignment to get rid of him because the enemy knew he was the Messiah. And I don't know if any of you have seen the Disney movie Tangle. She was a princess, she was born of a king and a queen, but the enemy, the evil godmother, tried to attack her because she knew that she would be queen one day. But the enemy actually took her. The enemy actually took her and raised her. So she was raised by the exact woman who was trying to keep her bound, who was actually coming against her. And she would tell her things to try to manipulate her to make her think that she was not a princess. She would see the lights and say, I think those lights are for me because they're on my birthday. And the and the evil woman would tell her, No, they're not for you. You're just seeing things. And she would try to manipulate her. She oppressed her, but it was the same woman who cared for her at the same time. So many of you have dealt with situations where you were surrounded by people who cared for you, but they were also trying to oppress you. And God says, I am uplifting you from the oppressor. They never really cared for you. They just was trying to manipulate you and keep you bound because they didn't want you to recognize who you really were. That was an assignment from the enemy. And God said, His time is up. I am uplifting you from their oppressors, and I'm giving you front row seats to what is happening to them. God said their time is up. God protects his children who are advancing the kingdom of God. He protects you because he's protecting his kingdom. And so when people go against you, they're not just going against you, they're going against the kingdom. And so when you go against the kingdom, then all heaven breaks loose. And there is judgment. There is judgment. So there is judgment that is coming upon your oppressors. And I looked up the definition of oppressor is to be burdened spiritually, mentally, and to weigh heavily upon, to crush or burden by abuse of power or authority. So to burden. So an oppressor is someone that burdens you spiritually and mentally and weighs heavily upon you. Anyone who has tried to intervene with your calling, with your destiny, anyone that has tried to come against you, to burden you spiritually, to try to manipulate you, to try to keep you in bondage, to try to keep you bound, to try to keep you from not knowing who you really are. Anyone who has allowed the enemy to use them in that way is being judged. Another definition to crush or burden by abuse of power or authority. Someone who tried to abuse you mentally, spiritually, by using their power and authority that they thought they had over you. See, many of you were only being abused because you didn't understand the power and authority that you carried. You can't be abused by someone who has power and authority when you carry the ultimate and greatest power and authority. And so you were only being abused because you were unaware of who you are and the power that you possess. So they did everything in their power to keep you bound. They did everything in their power to try to get you to not understand who you are and what you were capable of. They tried to do everything that they could to keep you blinded and not seeing yourself properly. But God said there is judgment on your oppressors. They did everything in their power to try to keep you from understanding who you were and to stop you from being the light, from being who God has called you to be. And so now there is judgment. And so let's read some scripture. Let's go to Makai 2. And it's entitled Judgment Against Wealthy Oppressors. It says, What sorrow awaits you who lie awake at night thinking up evil plans? You rise at dawn and hurry to carry them out simply because you have the power to do so. When you want a piece of land, you find a way to seize it. When you want someone's house, you take it by fraud and violence. You cheat a man of his property, stealing his family's inheritance. But this is what the Lord says I will reward your evil with evil. You won't be able to pull your neck out of the noose. You will no longer walk around proudly, for it will be a terrible time. Many of you, God is giving you, He's giving you a front row seat to see what is happening. To the people who have oppressed you, to the people who had ill will against you. And so because they did not repent and they did not surrender, God is allowing you to see the judgment up close and personal that is taking place. When God says vengeance is mine, he ultimately gives the best revenge, he ultimately gives the best consequences more than what we could ever do. And although it is unfortunate because we don't prey on people's downfall, this is the consequences of evil. And so God is allowing you to see, He's uplifting you from your oppressors, and they're trying their best to hold on to their authority, to hold on to their power and try to tyrant over you because they know that their time is up. God has handled it, God has closed that chapter in your life. Because some of these people, you were like, I just can't get rid of them. They just keep coming back. They were like a thorn in your side. They were like a thorn that you just couldn't get rid of because God still used them for your good. There's also consequences for what for what they've done. You can't just be out here planting seeds of evil and think you're gonna reap a harvest of joy. Even the scriptures tell us you reap what you sow. That's just how it works. Some people say what goes around comes around. And so judgment is coming upon them and God is allowing you to see up close and personal, full circle of how this thing is gonna play out. Of what happens when people turn their back on God and ignore the warnings because they think it's a game, they think it's a joke. And so God is uplifting you from your oppressors. Okay? And so that's all I have for now. If you need additional resources to help you grow in life and faith, make sure you check the description box below.
