Hi i'm Olma, Flynn, March, Ceallach, Shraya and i'm your DM Ethan welcome to Venture Forth

hi i'm flynn and i'm your dm ethan welcome to

0:05

ventureforth [Music]

0:37

previously you all had successfully made your way to oak and spire although not in the correct bodies um kelik oma and

0:44

shraya had found themselves swapped into their new forms as they attempted to

0:50

figure out what was going on out on the open sea you guys had decided to actually make your way to oak inspire as

0:56

hayfreed might be the only one who could actually help you fix this problem but uh once you guys got to oak inspire and

1:03

and fix that teleportation circle and met up with hey fred you guys discovered he was still sort of tapped from what he

1:09

had done with flynn so he wasn't going to be able to help you so what he had suggested was going to a temple within

1:16

oak inspire to where these priests might be able to actually switch your bodies back he gave you a couple of gifts and a

1:22

tool that would be used to help swap your souls back you guys went to this temple and had

1:29

discovered that indeed one of the clerics here had been practicing magic long enough to be able to complete this

1:34

ritual she took you down beneath the temple into sort of the basement area the dungeon

1:40

beneath this temple and uh began this ritual taking a shard of this strange metal that hayfred had given you and

1:47

ripping open a tear into the the elemental plane of air um and as your

1:52

souls were being lifted out of your bodies unfortunately in the plane of air um a couple of air elementals uh slipped

1:59

through and you guys had to make sure not only to stay safe while these air

2:04

elementals were thrashing around but also to stay in the circle of this spell

2:10

luckily you guys were able to spend enough time in the the circle uh to where the ritual was completed and you

2:15

guys all made your ways back to your own bodies um though when you guys returned your own

2:22

bodies you realized that you guys are are pretty well uh pretty

2:27

well damaged at this point you guys are tired exhausted and even though um you guys have a little bit more

2:33

understanding and a little bit more of a realization of of what was going on from being in in the other bodies you guys

2:39

are beat so as you guys emerge from the temple and as you guys walk out into

2:45

this beautiful open park area it is still and it is quiet um

2:51

you guys can still see that uh some of the the thunderous clouds that um had

2:57

had been plaguing the previous couple days here are still overhead so you can't quite um pick out any of the sky

3:04

but as you guys are walking out into the park what would you guys like to do

3:10

ah i real still agreed on getting to the end and just turning in for the night

3:15

it's been a hard couple of hours here yeah are you really tired

3:21

yeah rest would probably be pretty good too i am i want to do one thing

3:27

and i look up toward the sky before we lay down i've been meaning to do this

3:33

and i'm gonna just take off okay uh and as i do

3:38

uh i like sweep up into the air but as i do i like hinge

3:45

to either side and i attempt to do like a little like flip in the air that always gives me joy but it it's a

3:53

little bit uh half cocked as i'm as i'm still tired and

3:58

uh where normally you'd expect me to like just go for a while i pretty quickly come back down and be like ugh

4:06

no no you're right you're that was not nearly as satisfying as it usually is as he does this i i watch him

4:12

wistfully as he's uh sorry through the air yeah

4:19

sorry if i wore out the the bones and those wings are brittle

4:25

so i i wasn't tricky for what the hell they would feel i just actually just kind of feels like

4:31

i slept funny but [Music] i hope i don't sleep funnier tonight

4:36

then i'd have some real problems i look sort of uh

4:41

with frustration at my bandaged hand and i pulled the wrapping tighter to where alma wasn't really maintaining the

4:49

tautness of the bandage yeah well i'll have to get

4:54

accustomed let's head in yeah yes oh yes the purse is probably if i uh remember

5:01

correctly i still can't believe that you only flew once

5:06

but if i had wings i'd be doing it all the time not all of us are thrill seekers

5:12

flynn some of us like to stay alive yeah okay good good point

5:19

all right so you guys uh leave the park and head over to the perch prolly um

5:24

that you guys obviously remember from uh when you guys had had uh come in contact with it the first time um and

5:31

it is late at night so you guys see that as you walk in there is uh just the

5:38

famous embers of a dying fire still in the fireplace uh you look around and uh

5:45

you can smell from what was probably dinner um the smell of

5:50

warm food warm home-cooked food and you look around this is a a pretty big

5:57

lobby um probably the one of the largest inns that you guys have have seen but it is desolate there is no one here you see

6:03

a long table along wooden table often uh the corner and you see what looks like a

6:09

reception desk off in the other corner [Music] do we already have a room

6:15

uh [Music] i think so

6:21

i don't did we get a room i i think we just told people to send us messages here

6:26

we did [Music] did you guys lose your memory after switching bodies

6:32

well do you remember flynn or do you need a trinket to remind you no i that's why i'm asking because i forgot to and i

6:38

don't know if it's the body thing or if if it's something else everyone check their pockets or i i'll check my side

6:43

i'll check my i don't i i i really don't think we

6:49

actually came here i think that's right this doesn't look familiar to me at all i don't remember it and i think we just

6:55

went straight from the party to afraid home the worst thing that could happen is

7:01

we get an extra room right that's uh let's see about

7:07

getting some chambers here i'll approach the reception desk okay um as you do as just as you

7:15

approach and you sort of stand there in front of the reception area um a a faint

7:21

chime of a bell goes off without you even touching anything and um from behind a couple of red curtains uh you

7:28

see a dwarven man uh pop out he's got uh just a very patchy red beard and um a

7:36

pretty sizable mole on in the middle of his face um and he walks out and uh hi

7:42

hello there can i uh what can i do for you uh hi uh me and me companions here are just

7:49

looking for uh uh rooms if you have any available um yeah and he rubs his eyes and he sort of

7:55

looks down at his desk and rummages through some papers and grabs the notebook and places it down in front of

8:00

him um and he says uh yeah a little late for you guys to be coming in

8:06

yeah well we've been on the road um uh it doesn't look like you have much

8:13

of a nightlife here no not really everyone's in by sundown

8:20

ah right forgot where i was for a moment um well uh we don't mean to cause a force

8:28

uh no not at all um can i get you guys set up with the room uh

8:33

yes uh do you have one that would accommodate uh a lot of us yeah i've got uh a couple of them open um depending on

8:40

what you guys want you guys want something higher end lower end you've got some great higher end rooms

8:45

bigger spacious plenty of room to keep all your stuff safe secure

8:50

yeah yeah let's all be together yeah you guys would all be in one room

8:56

take a step up is the possibility that there's a window it could be a large window i can set you

9:03

up with one by window yeah good good um i've got one right here that's got two windows one in the bedroom one in

9:09

the bathroom there's a bathroom inside the room yeah there's a bathroom inside the room

9:15

what can we have that one i i uh i don't have much money homer how much is it

9:22

this one right now we're pretty vacant uh let's say five gold yeah i got it and

9:27

i'll slam off five six gold on the table okay you guys have been through a lot

9:32

so i'll treat you yeah traveling has been really tough yes yes the travel

9:38

the usual yeah yeah yeah it's just you know a lot i'm going to bed i don't make a

9:43

habit of asking many questions so i'll just leave you guys to whatever weird stuff you guys are doing um i

9:50

appreciate it and he swipes five of the gold off into a drawer and takes the sixth gold and puts it in his back pocket um is there anything i can take

9:57

up to the room for you guys no i think we've got uh uh we can carry

10:02

on us all right do you guys have breakfast in the morning yeah yeah what time would that be that

10:08

is going to be at uh seven o'clock usually to about 8 30. we've got a chef that

10:14

works here he takes orders i mean if you want to have something special we can i can put

10:19

in an order for you right now and have it ready for you in the morning you know what yeah you guys have um

10:26

lemon pastries i could have him do 11 pastry he does some pretty great desserts

10:31

yeah let's do that okay um that's just gonna be uh uh for pastry five copper

10:39

got it give him give another gold okay he puts the other gold in his back pocket

10:46

all right um i'll have him put that in right now any any other special requests just one

10:53

i would urge you not to judge too harshly we're not so weird the longer that you stay around us i put my hand on

10:59

the table and uh is it a wooden table yes it is and so slowly from the wooden table

11:05

these like tiny little shamrocks like kind of sprouter on my fingers between our urges and our tastes and our

11:13

appetites we're actually quite fantastical in our own way i avert my

11:19

eyes i'm just staring at the fireplace but all in good fun i give him a wink

11:26

then i turn and then the shamrocks shrink back but shrink back into the table so it's

11:31

going to be a no on the food order okay i'd like uh if you could just have some

11:36

cornmeal oatmeal something of that nature yeah yeah something of course

11:42

perfect um okay uh if you'd like i can show you guys up to your room thanks all

11:47

right um and he uh steps out from behind the counter and he walks out with you

11:52

guys and takes you guys up uh two flights of stairs and down the end of a hallway and opens up the door and it's

11:59

it's like a thick wooden door it's got um like these these beautiful floral engravings on the outer edge of it and

12:06

as he opens it um you can just see that there's some there's some weight to this door um and

12:12

it opens up into some pretty beautiful chambers um you can see that there's a common area and as you guys walk in you

12:18

can see that there are two bedrooms on either side and then next to uh attached to each of those bedrooms is a

12:25

designated bathroom um and you can see each of the the rooms has their own window um but as you guys look around

12:31

the more you guys look around you can see um some like a little um [Music]

12:37

potted flower on a table you can see that this this this room is pretty well dressed

12:42

some beautiful silk curtains um lining those windows and as you guys walk in um the dwarven

12:49

gentleman takes his leave shuts the door behind you and uh you guys

12:54

are are free to yourselves i immediately run in and i jump on one of the beds up and down up and down and up and down um

12:59

and then i like put my arms up and i fall back so that i'm laying back on there and i roll around and i roll

13:04

around wow this place is nice

13:10

i i don't know that i've ever had such fine accommodations we could do this more often

13:15

you mean journey to the capital city of one of the world's great civilizations

13:21

guys last night did you just compliment dwarves it feels very strange to me but i'm just

13:26

getting back and used to adjust it to being in this and i flick my fingers again oh i still can't do that i can't

13:32

do that anymore i look over at alma guys last night we slept outside of a cave in

13:38

the rain and tonight luxury [Music]

13:44

trust makes you reflect on all those who don't have the opportunity you know to sleep in such fine places no i wasn't

13:52

thinking about that at all why would you do that because it keeps things in perspective

13:59

i don't like perspective and i'm gonna get up and i'm gonna go into the bathroom and shut the door and take a long bath

14:05

okay all right um and as you're as you're sitting there you see that there's like five different kinds of soaps

14:11

and you've got a little scrub at the end of the bath and like it's pretty decked out it's great i make as many bubbles as

14:18

possible okay and i use shape water

14:24

to make like dolphin swim next to me and like i'm gonna have a great

14:29

okay i'm gonna have you make a general dexterity check don't break anything on my crash

14:37

um 18 18. um you're keeping it pretty well

14:45

contained within the bathtub no water no soap is getting anywhere that you don't want it um and uh the rest of you guys

14:51

just here in the bathroom water being splashed around

14:58

it does put a smile on my face to see only being able to be a child

15:05

yeah yeah wait till just have a break

15:11

oh how are you feeling finn really really tired i'm still i think i'm still

15:18

recovering i'm almost i'm feeling almost better yeah from your little bout with yourself

15:26

yeah uh good i'm glad you're up just enough

15:32

yeah i've been reading my books a little bit more and i

15:37

think i'm figuring something out but i don't i don't know i'm still so beat

15:42

i think i'm just gonna i mean i would love to party here right now but i'm really tired am i just going to bed

15:50

understandable how about you and i work on creating the party

15:56

lin as i nod my head toward the door i think our friend uh

16:02

mentioned that there's no real after evening things to do to speak of we may

16:08

be on our own to create it ourselves oh right maybe we shouldn't have a party because we might get in trouble and get

16:13

thrown in jail like timmy could it be revelry against the law in a place like this i wouldn't put it past

16:19

it it would seem there's some kind of curfew you know the tavern keep was like there's a lot of

16:25

curfews in this kind of place yeah i uh i'd be you know i celebration is in

16:31

order we've got our bodies back we didn't die but maybe quiet celebration well and i

16:37

think uh perhaps this room is too well put together i think there might be some changes in order and i like to don't

16:43

break anything i touch my finger to the to the plant and then i extend my staff

16:48

up toward the ceiling and i want to druid craft some like really colorful vines that are want to dangle like

16:55

across the ceiling that almost have a uh not not quite like confetti like little spinner helicopter

17:02

things but they they sway and they twirl and they're like little multi-colored flowers that are shiny emerging from the

17:08

vines from the ceiling can i do that of course let's go hell yeah you can do that

17:14

that's awesome all right so these like hanging from the ceiling down like where we can touch them yes yes they are oh man it's so tempting and

17:21

i grab one and i like kick off the bed corner and kind of swing around whoa

17:27

all right that's snakes i guess

17:32

um you can feel them dude they're very soft and i like brush one against my feathers we'll admire them from afar

17:39

yeah right sure yes so i'm gonna stay in the tub

17:44

with my shapes in the water until they fade which is about an hour from now okay and once they fade is there like a

17:50

big fluffy bath towel or like robe um make an investigation check

18:00

19 19. um there's sort of a standard towel laying there by the by the bed um but

18:06

you're not satisfied with that so you go and you open up all the cabinets and you do find a cabinet filled with fluffy

18:13

towels and uh like robes and little uh face towels and just all of the

18:20

amenities of luxury great i'm gonna put on one of the robes and it's way too big for me way too big and i'm gonna wrap it

18:27

around myself and then i'm gonna exit the room see all the flowers

18:34

okay and then i'm just gonna trudge to one of the beds and i'm just gonna curl up and go to sleep

18:40

okay um with the the hot water and with the um the huge robe and the comfy bed

18:48

this is probably the fastest you have ever fallen asleep um and just being beaten up um that also that also

18:55

adds to it um okay alma is asleep is there anything else uh you guys want to do before crashing yeah i mean that was

19:01

an hour later so i'd probably already be asleep by the time she got out of there okay so i'll probably pass out one of those

19:07

uh before i craft my little like vine lambs your bed uh i i'm gonna like dot

19:12

the tip of the crystal to each little vine and uh from the vines uh

19:18

i would and again you'll have to tell me if this is minor enough but uh little uh little crickets i want to emerge from the

19:25

flowers and then just give like a soft like not audible so that other rooms in the area can hear it but like soft

19:30

enough so that it gives a comforting sort of like nice cricket soundscape first yes i will allow it

19:45

um uh is there a fireplace in this room um there's not a fireplace in this

19:52

room you did see a pretty sizable one down in the lobby though on the lobby

19:57

are there sconces in this room there are yeah um i would like to douse one of the

20:02

sconces okay um and uh uh if i'm if i can find some privacy

20:09

i would collect some of the ash and um uh stand

20:15

uh actually rather kneel uh next to one of the windows

20:21

and pull out my my uh three-ringed amulet

20:26

and uh just gaze for a moment at the amulet [Music]

20:33

habitually running my fingers around each of the rings um and getting ash on it as i do

20:40

and then i'll take some of the ash uh and i will just um do as i shown

20:47

and run it down from my forehead to my nose

20:54

what's to be done what can we do together

21:00

that's people at the temple they called me a seer

21:08

they said i could see things others can't

21:14

so why do i feel so blind and then i will just take a moment and

21:20

um just sit with that that thought okay

21:27

everyone is going to sleep yes yes um since i kind of fell asleep a little

21:33

earlier i'm hoping maybe i could wake up a bit earlier just kind of like i'll effectively take first watch um

21:41

i know we're not doing watches but i will have done that yeah um yeah as as you take some time um

21:47

you hear the streets outside are silent the room's next to you

21:52

silent um it seems almost as if this place is deserted but you know from the previous

21:59

hours walking around the city it's definitely not um it is just very quiet so um as you finish what would

22:05

essentially be a first watch um you go to sleep and a little while later flynn you wake

22:11

up look around to the group that's still

22:19

slumbering sleeping [Music]

22:26

yes i feel a little better i'll look over my bag and grab my books

22:31

kind of lay them out on my bed as i kind of like sit crisscross and just [Music]

22:36

all right got to be some answers in here

22:42

i'll open up the ab duration book start flipping through

22:48

it's all doesn't make any sense like there's so many words there's so many letters i looked under my arm

22:55

wait hold it up to one of the books one of the people one of the symbols and look at the actuation symbol on my

23:02

arm that matches

23:08

that match is there and that match is there and i'll flip through the other book my iron light

23:14

book and that that match

23:19

this is shield but why why is there so many

23:25

why is there all this text i look back at my book there's only like a few

23:30

[Music] hold on

23:35

muscle tension volume volume of voice

23:41

start stop points what this is way more technical

23:50

maybe maybe that's what i'm doing wrong

23:58

where's my highlight book okay

24:03

where's that spell

24:09

of course of course i didn't read these victory would be so upset

24:15

all right well i guess i'll read it now [Music]

24:20

less pressure dragging fingers okay

24:26

start at a non-dominant foot heel is that what i was doing wrong

24:34

i'll look around to the group again [Music] and smirk [Music]

24:43

i'll look out to the window is the sun rising yet you can see that the the sun is just

24:48

beginning to rise over the horizon hmm [Music]

24:54

well if it works it'll be one hell of an alarm

25:00

all right i'll hop off my bed let's give this another go

25:07

okay um as you hop off of your bed um you take your stance and

25:14

you take note of some of the more technical aspects of of this spell um

25:21

and whereas before it was just sheer force of will that you were trying to get this thing out yeah um this time

25:26

when you're when you're casting it it is more deliberate more thought out more well placed

25:33

um and uh as you go to cast this it feels smooth it feels like you're not

25:39

having to force anything and all of a sudden these winds begin to

25:45

pick up around your feet [Music] and the air begins to move around you and it moves up towards your knees and

25:51

up towards your hips and almost like a tornado it begins to spin and whirl

25:56

around you and pretty soon things are flying across the room everyone else jolts awake as you guys

26:04

see flynn in this absolute tornado of wind throwing things across the room guys i did it one moment to please

26:12

one bloody moment to pass uh i i i'm coming over here are you

26:18

where's me is he mirrors me and i look at him

26:37

and flynn as you are in the midst of this tornado of wind and uh looking down

26:43

at your books in front of you that are they're still laying there on the ground it clicks in your head how much more

26:49

technical you need to be and how much more thought out all of this stuff is and um as that

26:55

that piece sort of unlocks in your mind you level up hey

27:00

did we get a long rest the rest of you got along unless i realized that my party is

27:06

getting visibly upset i will uh drop my concentration

27:13

guys guys i did it i did it dude what disturb us once more with your

27:19

tomfoolery well yeah yeah that too but i also figured out what i was doing wrong

27:25

and what was that what what were you doing right well well what i was doing wrong

27:33

what i was doing wrong was um i was trying to force magic out i wasn't focusing i wasn't thinking about it

27:40

before when maybe it was because i've practiced so much on these i guess movements i knew them

27:46

but this is a movement i've never done before so now i had to learn it and i i was just

27:53

winging it i was sorry improving it like i've been told but

27:58

i guess there's a balance well i think you may have been winging it right out

28:03

uh okay i know this is jumping back a little bit but as the wind was circulating uh can i say that uh i

28:12

could have maybe directed some of the wind like out past the windows or with the windows

28:17

have stayed sealed what kind of windows are they um if you had directed wind out towards the windows they would have

28:22

burst over they would have burst up okay i'm gonna say that i did that as like a gut like not almost inadvertently being

28:28

like holy [ __ ] there's wind i'm gonna direct it are we in danger yeah for sure so now at this point the

28:35

windows are completely open the curtains have actually blown out and are now hanging while they're still hanging

28:40

inside the bottoms of the curtains are actually hanging outside of the windows so returning to that sentence

28:46

you may have just winged it right out into the world oh yeah my short friend um

28:53

i'll look around the room oh yeah it's a mess

28:59

i'm glad that the moment we had some luxury we immediately went about to face in it

29:06

i think it's actually quite a brilliant prank flynn huh i mean i can try and do it again

29:11

i is it possible to perhaps uh make the room look even worse

29:17

oh yeah and i'll look to the i looked at kellek and as i'm like

29:23

as i'm like getting my fingers rubbed together and like the absorption and i'm about to tap it on my knee i look at him

29:30

and he's disapproving i'm guessing i i i don't know i'll look to him and i'll

29:35

see what he's i glower yeah we

29:45

this is a rude awakening i'm i'm very unhappy so as i look at him i i let the

29:51

magic from my fingers fade i don't know if certainly once was an

29:56

offline right right too much of a good thing we're going to have to put the room back together or we're going to be

30:02

going to have to put the room back together i'm not doing anything i didn't cause this or we just give our friend downstairs

30:08

another gold [Music] or we just and i look down into the street

30:15

go about our day this is a place where people get hanged for wearing purple robes so two gold then probably

30:22

just clean it up and you you can just get rid of all the plant life right so that'll be a start and then you can just

30:30

pick up all the mess you made i'm not quite sure about i tap my staff against the walls

30:36

it's a bit full at the moment i don't know if i'll be able to take it all back in yeah

30:41

don't clean this up then some unfortunate person who never gets to sleep in these rooms ever and

30:48

sleeps in a broom closet downstairs is going to have to do that so clean up your mess so three gold

30:55

clean up your bloody messed up fine okay i twirled the i throw the crystal strap

31:01

staff up upside down and start sucking the vines i'm going up into it but uh they

31:07

leave a sticky residue on the ceiling okay that goes unnoticed

31:12

i'm gonna attempt to reach out and grab the curtains that are probably like three times my size and pull them back

31:18

into the open window okay um i'm gonna have both of you guys

31:25

what's the check about make a cleanup check yeah

31:30

yeah just rolling an adulthood yeah straight d20 and this is not a

31:35

disadvantage because my exhaustion is finally gone your exhaustion is gone what's the check three

31:41

uh make it a wisdom check oh okay um thank you yes thank you five just does

31:48

that change the outcome do i fall out the window [Music]

31:55

see how well shy uh 22 22 oh okay um flynn you're totally

32:00

preoccupied with the spell that you just cast yeah and like you're you're sort of cleaning up the same corner for like 20

32:07

minutes you're just sort of daydreaming and and wiping up the same corner um that is now at this point well

32:14

cleaned uh but you don't notice that as shraya uh cleans up the rest of the room to pretty much how it was before um

32:21

putting things back on the shelves uh putting things back on tables and uh and all that do i notice the sticky residue

32:28

that remains make a perception check okay

32:34

okay that is a uh 21. uh 21.

32:40

carefully inspecting everything that these two are doing um yeah you notice there's a little bit of

32:47

sticky stuff on the ceiling i can't believe i'm asking for your help with this what

32:54

bear with me here i cast let's try walking around the

32:59

residue okay um and as you do um it's it's like this this goop and it all

33:06

dries up and it begins to sort of float down as this dust into the room

33:13

thank you thank you kindly all right ariel dawn here

33:18

should we get about to rescue an ole miss chum yeah um how are we going to do that though

33:25

this seems really bad that's a good question i haven't really considered it a plan

33:31

it's not like we can just walk in perhaps there's a cd underbelly to this uh

33:37

uh clenched city uh comparison with uh some kind of information on the run-ins

33:43

of the prison our last prison break didn't quite go

33:49

uh as planned if we could even call us a plan so probably better before we prepare for

33:56

this one okay how do you find a cd under belly

34:02

i could start in the pattern downstairs well if this

34:07

city is as hard and regimented as a rock why don't we simply

34:12

lift it up see what's there [Music] what does that mean

34:19

well my experience in the wilds and i have no reason to believe that this place is

34:26

anything like that and i've noticed that the more you try to contain

34:32

life the more life struggles struggles to break out

34:38

so maybe we could find the breaking points of this city maybe we could find the places where there is the most

34:44

control and then we can see what might be pushing against it

34:50

i think that tracks should we start with breakfast yes that's a great idea oh right lemon

34:57

pastries and i run downstairs wait i wanted to ask you something what i catch up to him what we're going down

35:03

the stairs uh maybe not now i'm starving as well yeah i really want

35:09

a pastry but i wanted to ask you we need i want to know can we hurry this up can we move yes we can move at some point i

35:15

want to know more about what you saw in that temple what we were sitting in that temple next to

35:21

each other i want to know more about what saw what you were what happened to you

35:26

oh oh but let's eat first yeah yeah all

35:32

right you guys rush downstairs um and you guys can see that uh at that long uh

35:38

table that you guys had had seen the previous night um it is now uh it looks like a banquet hall pretty much um you

35:45

see about 15 patrons sitting there all of them dwarvish and you see them at

35:52

different ages different sizes and um all sitting there enjoying breakfast and uh as you guys

35:59

approach you see that there are a couple of seats that are not occupied at the moment um you guys

36:04

run up and there are actually um two of them that are right next to each other and as you guys go and sit down

36:11

you guys notice that there is a bunch of food laid out in the middle of the table

36:17

and people are pretty much just grabbing what they want there are some like biscuits there's some eggs that are

36:22

there um and just scooping onto their own plate and flynn as soon as you sit down um the dwarven man from the

36:29

previous night uh walks over in a much nicer apron than what he was in

36:35

last night um comes over with a nice little uh a plate and it's got a a

36:41

perfect lemon pastry sitting on top of it oh is this for me

36:46

that's for you this looks amazing that's pretty good well i know the best place

36:51

to get these so it's going to have to be pretty good to be better than that well now you know the best place to get these

36:58

and he walks away oh i stare at it oh look a shred do you want some

37:04

maybe just a tad is there a silverworld i'll cut it in half okay you cut it in half and like this

37:10

this lemon filling begins to pour out well here

37:16

take half i grab half i taste it uh is it good it is

37:23

incredibly sugary it is this light flaky crispy pastry on the outside and then on

37:31

the inside it's got this this warm uh lemon filling i'm staring at him

37:37

like as soon as i headed to him i was just intently one is is it good it's i it's all

37:44

it's a lot i may have to follow it up with the with something what does a lot mean it's

37:51

a lot of good great goodness really yes yes uh oh no way and i'll dive in and start chowing

37:57

down okay um flynn as you're eating this thing um it is good it is really good

38:03

but it's it's just missing like that that yeah it's missing that taste of home

38:10

it's missing something i mean like this is all right but it'll whisper

38:15

i think the uh i think the ones in hunter felt are better yes where we all have our

38:21

our preferences for the places we love well i'm gonna go get some eggs and i'll get up and go get it and immediately as

38:26

he goes gets up some eggs i'm gonna like slip my uh i'm gonna slip my hand under the

38:32

table and uh i'm gonna just like feel around for like any anything raw that someone

38:39

might have left like some like seeds or like just scraps really okay make an investigation check yeah

38:48

ah that is gonna be gonna be gonna be a oh i don't get anything out of that

38:55

okay that's a name um an eight uh there are just like scattered on the ground underneath your

39:01

chair just like some um some sesame seeds that uh someone probably put over their dinner

39:08

last night that just fell onto the ground oh yes seed seeds give them to me i say this

39:14

under my breath and i look up and around perhaps for any

39:19

like uh since they're scattered uh like where like a condiment bar is or like places to like

39:26

put toppings on you see all of the food here is laid out on the table at the

39:31

moment you don't see any sesame seeds you do see a little bowl of um like some nuts at the end of the the other end of

39:37

the table i'm gonna as casually and as possible go over there and try to

39:44

take the entire bowl of that okay make a slight of hand check

39:49

all right oh sleight of hand all right i got okay get something

39:55

god that's a good um it's lucky though right as you reach out um you see a dwarven man uh sitting

40:02

there who has uh this this sort of sort of uh short and well-kept white beard

40:09

he's got little tiny reading glasses on his face um very well dressed he's got

40:14

like this full three-piece suit and he's got a book in his hands as he's as he's reading it and as he he doesn't even

40:20

take his his eyes up from the book that he's reading as he goes are you going to take all of that

40:26

oh uh i'd have just forgotten myself uh

40:34

well uh and i look him dead in the eye and i say [Music]

40:40

i have quite a few dietary restrictions i think they're called and

40:47

well uh if these fine nuts are not in short supply and i

40:52

uh actually i'm gonna pull out a gold piece yes i i would rather like to take the whole thing

40:58

uh make a persuasion check

41:03

why oh uh well no that's an eight an eight what oh and

41:10

i'm not good at that um he says well um i

41:15

first of all i don't need your money um and second of all you may take a few

41:21

but the almonds will remain here then i will give you

41:26

[Music] fine dwarf and gentlemen the honor

41:33

of parsing it out for me and i like thrust the ball

41:38

into his hands and i say i trust your judgment

41:43

and he takes the ball and looking at it you can see it's it's almost three-quarters of the way full and he

41:48

sort of puts about half of it onto your plate [Music]

41:56

very very well i appreciate your generosity and i give

42:01

him a kind of like little nod and uh just a look

42:07

all right he goes straight back to his book uh i'm gonna tap i'm gonna like as i

42:13

walk away slowly tap the staff to the spot next to him and i want to try

42:19

to have something like slowly grow up and under his butt where he's sitting

42:27

like a plant yeah

42:32

not thorny but just something like that that might like tickle him a little bit

42:37

slap his butt okay you can make another slide of hand check all right what a morning

42:44

trying to find a seedy underbelly yeah literally literally that's a that's a nine

42:50

uh that's a nine let me see for the most part no one notices

42:58

and he's just tickled every now and then perhaps he doesn't know why perhaps he does if he looks he will uh he is into

43:04

his book he doesn't even care to check yeah all right um oma and kellick you guys

43:10

come down and find flynn try sitting there at the table um and there are two chairs uh that are vacant on the

43:17

opposite side of where they're sitting at the table guys over here on this side caleb

43:23

yeah something um i don't know if it's because i was in

43:29

your body recently but are they always so crazy

43:34

they're just like running around everywhere and causing havoc everywhere we go i think they're relieved alma

43:40

you know it's been stressful time for us and people will bottle up all that energy sometimes

43:46

and then when you get a chance to let it out it can be a bit uh chaotic but how do you keep up

43:55

yeah as you can plainly see i don't i'm i'm traveling behind here pretty

44:00

steadily you just try you steal your darndest

44:06

when you show people your best uh they'll return it iphone and uh

44:11

um chaos notwithstanding okay

44:17

i don't understand any of that um maybe it's something you just learn in

44:24

time maybe do you find their actions uh upsetting

44:31

well when they wake you up like that yeah well yeah but you know flynn's proud of himself he's

44:38

been really hard on himself lately and honestly as as much as i don't like to be

44:43

awoken uh it's good to see him not be so angry at himself not so

44:50

tower your guess any situation like that you know even

44:57

sure i had to face in the room with those vines there are good sights and bad sights you know there's

45:03

always always a spectrum of of

45:09

ways to look at what's going on and uh i find it's good to keep them in

45:14

balance as much as possible as much as i struggled with myself then

45:20

i'd look at my ash covered trinket and my and my just still kind of crafts

45:26

that grasped in my head why'd you see me have some breakfast

45:32

yeah i see some biscuits with my name on it [Music] they don't say your name that's silly oh

45:39

you look right here there's a little and i'm gathering and playing it see this one uh oh they spelled it wrong you

45:45

know they only used one and this one they put an r in there for some reason

45:51

well oh and this one this one i i think is meant for someone else but let's just say it has my name on it let's just say

45:59

i continue doing this routine for as long as oma will entertain it okay um all right and then all of you guys uh

46:05

at at this point come and sit down at the table i'm not i'm not actually sitting at the table i'm in the corner

46:10

just mowing down on this the nuts that i have in my hand and every now and then if you look over you you'll be like

46:19

and these like kind of just it's just satisfied just all right everyone else sees uh shreya is starting to get some

46:24

stairs um some people are starting to to take note of

46:30

him standing in the corner just some odd looks does anybody look not bothered by this

46:37

um strangely the dwarven man in the suit reading his

46:42

book he is really into that book okay hmm um does anyone look especially

46:51

bothered by it um make an inside check you mentioned the book and

46:57

with my more fascination with them can i maybe glean what it is just take a look over

47:02

while i'm sitting and eating can i maybe try and figure it out yeah make a perception check for them okay 24 on the 24. you do see um that there

47:10

is a woman sitting there with uh what is presumably her two children sitting next

47:15

to her um and as she's like passing out food to her kids she keeps giving him this side eye

47:22

okay i'll just clock that okay i'm just watching for potential threats and also

47:28

i'm trying to keep an eye out for the uh the proverbial cd underbelly

47:35

okay uh flynn what was that role um eight an eight

47:41

eight yeah okay um he does actually sort of prop it up against himself at a

47:47

certain point and so the cover is is showing um you've never seen this book before but you are able to to read the

47:53

cover um and the cover says the tumultuous findings of grumbleo greenward

48:00

okay i'll note that but it doesn't seem like

48:05

it's like a spell book or anything like magic stuff you can't tell

48:11

i'll finish my breakfast and then okay make my way over to him all right [Music]

48:17

can i help you with something hi i'm flynn fellaief

48:23

good to meet you flynn my name is jakarlum jakarlum huh

48:30

oh my my manners and and dorvish i'll begin to speak um i couldn't help but you were really

48:35

enraptured by this book i'm curious what it's about and in in dwarvish he sort of

48:41

raises his eyebrows to you and and uh a little bit of a smile on his face responds in dwarven um and he says oh

48:48

yeah i just picked this book up last week i'm fascinated is it

48:53

what's it about it's a storybook it's it's a bit of a murder mystery oh

49:00

i haven't heard many of those where'd you get it i got it at the bookstore just down the street huh

49:05

you have to go check it out bookstore you say yes is it just stories there do they have other kind of books they've got all sorts of books over there um

49:13

from your um uh novels to your biographies to your spell books oh

49:20

spellbooks huh [Music] thanks

49:25

i'll give him a nod and head back to the table which uh or wherever if you guys have decided to sit down i'll join you

49:31

uh the mighty bale by the way you might want to turn around thank you i appreciate it

49:37

and i'll i'll rejoin the party where's shraya he's in the corner over there to

49:43

start on the commoners oh oh yes gosh i need more of this

49:50

i'm gonna look around and see if i can find some more nuts it's just a croc okay make an investigation check for me

49:55

i'm still starving there we go now you're rolling like a

50:00

pro yeah uh i'm pretty sure i have okay

50:06

uh there we go oh nothing no nothing uh 15. 15. okay you're looking over the table you're getting desperate um and

50:13

you see in uh nestled in like a little basket of lettuce and you couldn't see it before because

50:19

there's like a lot of lettuce around it is a little bowl of sesame seeds yes the sauce and i grab it and i just

50:27

uh take it and i bring it back to another corner of the room perhaps uh and try to more silently

50:34

i would like to try to block it like stop like at the table i would like to try to like grab onto frya's arm just casually

50:41

as he's doing this and just whisper you know

50:47

it would be less obvious that you were doing this if you did it at a table

50:54

i don't want to be near any other people right now everybody's watching you

51:01

and i stealthily and i stealthily try to slip under the table

51:16

there's no stealth check for this you are a giant bird climbing under a table the table what are the rest of you guys

51:22

doing i just follow him back to the table and sit at it and just like [ __ ] literally just

51:28

carry on i don't even look at him i just carry on eating my biscuits uh what is everyone in this area doing now i'll

51:35

look around as i see he's making a scene so i look around to see what the patrons of the park are everyone is like you can

51:40

see a couple people have like sort of scooted themselves out from the table a little bit um the the mother of the two

51:46

children is at this point she's not like trying to hide her her stare she is full on staring um

51:53

fancy tavern this is a really fancy place and jakarta is still reading this book i will uh i will just raise my hand

51:58

as i as he makes this a ruckus endorsement my deepest apologies he's just very very hungry and he kind of

52:05

gets um beside himself apologies let's just say that endorvish as he's chowing down

52:13

okay doesn't seem to change the mood of i

52:20

guys maybe we can just get some of these seeds and nuts to go maybe seeds and nuts are all ready to go

52:27

flynn they're all around uh yeah why don't we just get out of here though as he says that the bowl just

52:33

slides out from underneath the table across the room

52:39

okay it looks like you guys are done with breakfast [Music]

52:44

but wait

52:50

like a little sandwich to go like i've like made this fit this whole time just like making myself a little like

52:56

egg bread whatever and like put it in a napkin to take with me okay awesome

53:03

so as you guys are getting up from the table i'm i'm gonna interrupt you um as you guys are getting up from the table

53:09

what what's what's the game plan um as you guys are leaving breakfast guys i i know we got stuff i mean i guess we can

53:14

come back but we may not bet be back i'd like to go to the temple um

53:20

uh of zachariah uh i think i have unfinished business there uh and uh i

53:25

might be able to use the people there as a resource for information that's my only thought uh if anybody has a better

53:32

idea i'm happy to hear it um no um i'm thinking about

53:38

walking around those statues of of like the the the royalty and maybe just like

53:45

looking and seeing if i can see any sneaky ways inside the walls walls

53:54

for those were those statues near where the prison was do we know where the prison is actually um you guys actually

54:00

at this point don't even know where the prison is oh but we do know that there's walls

54:06

separating like an inner city right yes so um there is so what you guys have

54:12

discovered in oak inspire is um you guys know where the park is you guys know where hayfried's

54:19

teleportation circle is and you guys know that in the middle of this giant city there's an entire portion of it

54:26

that is that is just miles and miles across that is completely walled off um

54:32

that has those statues around [Music] it um yeah we could look for an entrance

54:40

or at least uh try to we could ask someone how to get i was just thinking about just walking around and seeing

54:46

what i can see and and and doing some research yes perhaps there are notices about the

54:53

comings and goings of the things that happen here or like we could see guard towers does this tavern have a bookshelf

55:01

um it has quite a few yeah over by that fireplace okay if i a cursory inspection

55:06

because we're done with breakfast uh is there like a history of oak inspire

55:13

or like some kind of like uh make an investigation check for

55:18

me investigation uh 15 15. um as you're looking through

55:26

you're seeing a couple of fiction books um a couple of things there's there's one about like um

55:33

uh the founder of this this in and sort of like the history of the inn and um

55:39

you actually go through and you see one that's called oak inspire a history and i will pluck that from the shelf and

55:45

i will try to see if there's in the table of contents mayhaps something about this like inner

55:51

city for sure um yeah you do see a uh a couple of chapters dedicated to the

55:58

inner part of the city okay um can i

56:04

with the i don't know um

56:09

is there is there a what's the first paragraph tell me of one of these chapters i'll

56:15

just i'll just tell you as you flip through this this is a there's like

56:20

there's quite a few pictures inscriptions um none of the actual text is like

56:26

these huge long pieces of text it's actually quite brief and what it what it tells you and uh pretty concise so as

56:33

you're looking through uh one of the first things is sort of the overview of the city um you see that this city um

56:40

while it is massive is divided up into five sections there's the northern district southern district eastern

56:47

district and western district there is also that center part of the the city

56:53

which is the royal district um you see that the royal district is

56:59

just as large maybe a little bit smaller than the rest of of the the districts around it um just in

57:05

size and amount of buildings and everything but each district uc could pretty much operate as its own city

57:12

it has its own infrastructure it has its own um little sub-districts within it um

57:19

and everything and uh you see reading through um oak inspire

57:24

didn't wasn't always this big it was always the capital of caldor but

57:30

it wasn't always this big and it actually started sort of as its own almost

57:36

mini country and it produced it had its own economy and everything and what really made it

57:42

boom was the mines that were here the mines that go deep beneath the earth but then once kaldur um or once oak inspire

57:50

began accruing its wealth um they were able to reach out and expand their influence to around the

57:56

rest of kaldor and sort of get uh get a good hold over the rest of the country and they moved their mining operations

58:02

out of the capital and just made this one central place to have um sort of the bureaucracy and and the high class of

58:10

society um so that's sort of the the main gist that you get is there are a bunch of these different districts and

58:16

mainly the eastern district used to be the main mining facility before now it is converted into

58:23

just a another district of the city can i ask a question yes

58:30

did cal did oak inspire join kaldor or did kaldor grow out of oak inspire

58:37

um caldor they were sort of created simultaneously and oak inspire was designated as

58:43

the capital um but in those early days it was very much like

58:49

it's it's difficult to reach and have influence over the entire country so even though it was a singular

58:55

country a lot of it was sort of governing itself until openspar was able

59:00

to actually um get its its reach to uh uh a substantial point

59:08

um okay anything in there about a

59:16

prison so um i'm gonna have you make

59:22

an uh intelligence check for me

59:28

that was just sort of the the the first chapter the general overview the history and then after the history a

59:34

brief history um and then they sort of get into the the more details that's a

59:39

five it's a five um you don't get an exact location but

59:44

you do know that you you catch a little glimpse of

59:50

a lot of these mines these these things that used to be the mines

59:55

have been converted into military projects prisons um a lot of

1:00:01

those old structures um once the mining was moved out of oak and spire those were converted into

1:00:07

um yeah military installments prisons um and different things that mostly the

1:00:12

royal family uses um are we just sitting around while he's looking at like do we are we there are

1:00:17

we yeah this takes a couple minutes okay so we're just hanging out at the table finishing our exactly yeah um

1:00:23

you finding anything um as i returned from the fireplace having reshuffled the book

1:00:30

well uh it seems that the um

1:00:36

from what has like uh uh consumed um

1:00:41

the uh prison might be in the eastern district where they were once mines

1:00:47

which means for [ __ ] underground present that's going to be an even harder uh

1:00:54

caper than the last week do you think that this that's the only book over there that had any information

1:01:01

i took a pretty good look at it i think so yeah um i mean if it helps i

1:01:06

i was talking and i'll point out the dwarf that has the book i was talking to him and he said that there's a bookstore down

1:01:12

the street maybe they have plans or blueprints or something maybe we can

1:01:18

check that out and then couldn't hurt trying all my can go scope the place out

1:01:29

yeah it might be over there they can look the place look at the place and we can check out the

1:01:35

just play like the store or the bookstore later on

1:01:41

that seemed good to you guys what was that huh look well we're gonna see if we can get more information at a at a

1:01:47

bookstore library i guess and you wanted to sneak around and maybe you can go go with

1:01:54

yes i i could come as well but although i'll be completely honest with all of you

1:02:00

i i really want us to be successful in our endeavor here and

1:02:07

i will pull back my i will scale back my my own uh well ways of throwing

1:02:14

little bits and pieces of pranks and jokes into the fold we may not be here

1:02:20

for long if i continue that and i realize that it isn't the best environment for

1:02:26

pranks yes i can see that as i look around uh can i tell

1:02:32

that what's the what's been caused in the room or like just gauge people's

1:02:37

feeling um there are some stairs coming your way okay uh feeling this and feeling awkward

1:02:43

about it i'm just gonna i'm just gonna i'll just take a step outside

1:02:48

i'm gonna go outside uh and outside i'm gonna look around for um seeing that my in other calderian cities

1:02:55

have been very clear about rules and regulations i'm just gonna look around if there are any like postings or

1:03:01

notices or like general guidelines uh posted anywhere about just the city and the uh

1:03:08

way of being in it okay um before you do that as you walk out of this

1:03:15

um this little tavern inn um you actually open the door and bump face

1:03:23

first into a figure that's standing there gemmary would you please describe your

1:03:29

character as he walks out uh and and just totally bumps into you please describe your

1:03:36

character a muscular copper dragonborn with scarlet eyes stands six and a half feet

1:03:42

tall a strong brow traces back to small horns and a crest of scales falls to above her shoulders brown fur lines the

1:03:49

knuckles of her hand of her clawed hands and her feet she donned brown short pants and a loose olive green shirt

1:03:56

adorned with several strands of leather across and around her torso one of several necklaces bears teeth and bones

1:04:03

she carries a large backpack with an odd mix of tools and weapons a mace hangs from a large multi-pocketed belt and her

1:04:10

right hand bears a maul a closer look you can see a long gash along the back of her right forearm and the dented and

1:04:17

chipped scales of her left cheek lend to the crooked smile that greets you

1:04:22

[Music] hello i i it's pardon me i i was just go

1:04:29

where i'm getting some air and as i look i look deeper into the face of this

1:04:34

being and uh i take a step back uh and give a closer look

1:04:41

and what are you [Music] ah being of the

1:04:48

earth of the depths of the uh and i just try to i just like

1:04:53

searching for words because you i i sometimes take pride in being able to identify

1:04:58

beings and just i just look quizzically uh and just lost for words

1:05:06

well i am what is called a dragon ball faraday peace blade and you are oh my my

1:05:12

name is shraya i i uh dragonborn

1:05:17

dragons born of born of dragons um and you just see me sort of physically like

1:05:24

wince a little bit at the suggestion oh i just pardon me i i

1:05:31

i find myself uh very uh adept at moving around the world but not always

1:05:36

so great uh discovering its inhabitants so please forgive me if i've caused any offense

1:05:42

i take another step back uh but i will assure you uh i am uh i am very uh welcoming to the

1:05:50

different beings of the earth i believe all beings have a place here and i try to attempt an odd kind of bow

1:05:55

[Music] that that's quite all right it is it's sort of a thing that happens with them

1:06:01

not very many creatures are used to seeing creatures of my type so i thank you for your consideration

1:06:08

what brings you to a place like this where i just look around

1:06:13

i mean i'm sure you've can see this there there aren't many people beings

1:06:20

sorts that look as strange as like crack a little smile i look am i down on myself from over you and i

1:06:29

yes well i am actually um here i'm looking actually for some people i

1:06:36

was sent by a friend um do i see the others or just try it you just see shrines because you're in the

1:06:42

just like in the doorway yeah so i'm actually looking for some um

1:06:50

i shall say um companions of a friend of mine some acquaintances

1:06:56

oh well uh we i suppose people come to oak conspire

1:07:01

for all different things we are looking for a rather oh i quite forgotten myself

1:07:07

uh and i take another step back uh and i'm gonna look around to see where the rest of my crew is right behind you

1:07:14

right brian what are you doing move out of the doorway i'm sorry are we gonna get on with the day or not

1:07:20

yes yes of course who are you talking to your wingspan covers the door and then

1:07:25

so large i i i i said i've quite forgotten myself uh

1:07:31

uh if if you don't uh uh look back what was your name again my name is faraday

1:07:37

faraday yes uh if you don't mind uh we uh we are headed down uh to go about

1:07:43

our business for the day uh uh this is uh and i look back um

1:07:49

right right this way uh band of uh fellows and actually and i

1:07:56

sort of uh chuckled to myself this one's actually called fellow in his name

1:08:01

oh uh and i look when's over at flynn uh i mean yeah he never mind uh yeah so

1:08:08

hi my name is flynn fellow eve greetings farah day buddy day yes hi hi tall too

1:08:18

what are you uh what are you doing here i am actually an oak inspired been here for a while but i've been sort of sent

1:08:25

to look for some friends of a friend of mine actually

1:08:30

does does this uh figure look like they're wearing a dress of the guard or dress of anyone

1:08:37

in this area that red wolf club uh

1:08:42

um smoke inspire wardrobe conspire a tire a tire

1:08:48

top uh no no distinctly not that okay um actually

1:08:53

you said you've been in oak inspire for a while yes um

1:08:59

i mean if one we're trying to find

1:09:05

trouble but not get in trouble but find it where would they go

1:09:11

i would recommend not seeking trouble i don't know how long you've been on in oak inspire but it is not a place that

1:09:17

you engage in trouble per se we sort of make a habit

1:09:23

of trouble well so if you were to you know if you just wanted to to know

1:09:29

where to avoid you know

1:09:44

does the name agents of repair mean anything to you

1:09:49

yeah oh um yes

1:09:55

i i've heard that name before yeah that's us

1:10:00

what oh i mean that's us that have heard of that now

1:10:06

looked at kelly and like that's what i heard about that name before i just shake my head

1:10:13

king of keeping secrets this one i'm trying okay we have gone by that uh title rather

1:10:20

recently where'd you come upon hearing it um

1:10:26

from a a friend of mine um

1:10:32

i'm a bit concerned let's um move down here for a little bit more privacy there's a little bit too much traffic

1:10:37

here if you don't mind and i sort of lead them around the corner towards like an alleyway i'm so

1:10:43

cautiously following wait where are you going and as i see her leading them on

1:10:50

and i i look over this being put them under a spell of some sort and i uh i wander up behind uh

1:10:57

and i look around where are we going is you being led by this hello again hi

1:11:05

i can see your new leaf of not being disruptive try it's really going great for you

1:11:12

i'm sometimes a fast learner sometimes a slow learner where aren't we all are we all

1:11:18

steady on try and i i put a clawed hand just on his shoulder to just try to calm him

1:11:24

down by just going around the corner oh writer that actually feels kind of nice

1:11:31

all right the rest of you guys are following sure yeah tentative words okay all right um

1:11:37

make your way around the corner and uh you guys are in a pretty secluded alleyway in between two buildings at

1:11:43

this point um you said a friend sent you to find us

1:11:52

yes i got a message from a friend um you may have heard but just for my edification to verify that you are in

1:11:59

fact the people that i'm searching for he is a resident of marstock

1:12:06

uh you're gonna have to be more specific if we have a an acquaintance with a one-armed

1:12:12

uh horse keeper in marstock we've got um

1:12:17

well maybe just that one well there's a gnome that turned into uh a club we know

1:12:23

a lot of people we know we're okay um i know a woman who owns a farm and she loves me

1:12:29

she invited me to dinner anytime so is that your friend with the uh sheep farm

1:12:36

uh-huh not the friend i'm speaking of but i do frequent marstock i was just there

1:12:42

about a month or so ago and i have a friend there who works in a temple

1:12:48

and there's only one temple in narstock is it that temple it's it's the only one

1:12:55

okay oh my god this is so annoying do you know hey freedom

1:13:02

are you the one in charge little one yes and i just give her a little link

1:13:10

yes so i i have received a message from hayfried that i should seek out the agents of

1:13:16

repair because you are sort of on a mission and may need some assistance

1:13:22

that's so cool that he sent somebody along to help us full of favors

1:13:27

oh how cool um we could use help

1:13:33

we are um trying to do something crazy

1:13:39

and he gave us some tools but this place is kind of

1:13:46

tough so we do need a little bit of help wait

1:13:55

how do you know hatefully again we've known each other for a few years um

1:14:00

[Music] it's a very long story but basically we have an understanding based on our past

1:14:07

are you married this wouldn't be the checkered past of their friends would it

1:14:12

i i put my staff on kayla's shoulder helic the friend of hayfried's probably very

1:14:18

powerful indeed perhaps we should welcome any kind of power

1:14:24

i don't welcome the powers of evil shraya so i'd like to confirm exactly what the nature of this

1:14:30

person's relationship with hereford was we are in a very treacherous place i might welcome any kind of power right

1:14:37

now as i take a step back speaking of this place

1:14:42

what's your allegiance with kaldore

1:14:48

and you just see me sort of uncomfortably shift and stand up straighter inside and say

1:14:57

very hesitantly take a deep breath and say i

1:15:02

served with the army of caldo and i flash some my military credentials and

1:15:07

say but when it comes to allegiance i am aligned with the side of peace

1:15:16

i'll look her out of the group good answer

1:15:22

or one could say repair

1:15:28

i i shake my i like lean over to cover how's everyone acting so weird i i not skeletons usually the the other

1:15:35

short one has more jokes um but

1:15:40

i still feel dissatisfied hey fred

1:15:45

how do you know it is a quite long story but basically

1:15:55

jeffrey made us living as a torturer and you have met hayford and you know

1:16:01

that he has changed and i met him quite a ways back i had heard

1:16:08

him in my travels as a mercenary that there was an evil mage

1:16:14

and i was sent to find him and when i did i hayfried and i had a very long talk

1:16:22

and we understand that sometimes especially

1:16:27

in times of war the darkness will pull you or

1:16:32

you will do things that you absolutely regret and you try to live the rest of your life making up for it

1:16:40

hatred is a friend of mine and i trust him and therefore i feel i can trust you

1:16:47

and this is you making up for it in some ways yes

1:16:55

well we're trying to break into a prison

1:17:03

i'm not just killing i thought you were trying to keep secrets i just

1:17:09

my head has barely stopped shaking this entire conversation okay well obviously she's here to help

1:17:14

us in hay fruit center so i mean when when i was in your body i could talk to

1:17:20

hayfree why don't you just ask him oh yeah uh i didn't prepare that spell today

1:17:26

well why not it seems like a really convenient spell i don't like to just

1:17:32

really nearly talk to people why not have you met him

1:17:40

but it seems like a really convenient thing to do that you just avoid doing sure

1:17:46

there's lots of things that people might consider convenient that i avoid and trust in folks is also one of them

1:17:53

so i i appreciate you being here uh did hayford

1:17:58

give you anything to go on or did you just send your way essentially sent me to find you i know

1:18:05

that you are up to your mission and that is about it but you're trying to break into a prison is that what you said i mean

1:18:14

effectively break in break out movement

1:18:20

i don't know i just i just kind of like open open

1:18:27

palm my hands towards everybody just yeah well you wouldn't have to do that if you had a way of talking to him

1:18:34

if you had any special at your disposal that didn't just blow buildings up then we'd have a lot of solutions to our

1:18:40

problems you do lots of things and i like

1:18:46

push my hands down like so hard and i stomp my feet and i disappear

1:18:52

oh what oh no homer ugh where did you go i'm not gonna fall

1:18:59

for this one alma i'm not bothered to not all you can disappear all you like child

1:19:05

where did she go and i'm leaning back against the wall with my arms like cross just watching this really just amuse

1:19:12

what's going on i i i uh i lean in and and i say all

1:19:18

right fine if you're really acquainted with hayfried what does his inner sanctum look like huh has he has

1:19:25

he ever given you any information has he ever showed you the depths of what he

1:19:30

can do and i look back at the rest of the party this shouldn't be too hard right

1:19:37

and i look at trying perhaps we don't know the same hatred

1:19:44

because hayfried has given up using essentially all magic

1:19:49

he lives in a temple he lives a very quiet life and that is the life that he's chosen so that he can

1:19:55

seek his reprieve from his his past ah

1:20:01

we might but then again and i look at my i look at myself i look at the party the rest part i look at

1:20:07

myself i look at the rest of the party and i i give like a little nod

1:20:12

something tells me we do we might actually know the same hatred

1:20:18

yeah after about a minute [Laughter]

1:20:27

i come back except i was watching all this and now i'm behind kellic

1:20:34

and i just like poke him on the side real hard i if i can

1:20:40

yeah ignore it i'm feeling the wall in the area where alma was and i'm like

1:20:46

i know do i notice her show up behind kellic um yeah you would notice her pop back in

1:20:52

yeah um teach me oh i need to

1:20:57

um

1:21:17

[Music] [Laughter]

1:21:25

just chilling okay let me see what happens here oh

1:21:31

geez let's see what a morning um at least we got breakfast

1:21:43

[Music]

1:21:52

um faraday i'm gonna have you make a i'm going to have you make a

1:21:59

charisma check right now [Music]

1:22:06

17. 17. um so i am i am qualifying you as an ally

1:22:12

with in this spell um so everyone here everyone uh has a minus two penalty on attack and

1:22:20

damage rolls um for the next minute okay

1:22:25

so what happens yeah um you guys uh i feel like as as um

1:22:31

omaha pops back into existence like this this wave of sort of like concussive energy slowly

1:22:38

expands out around her yeah me too or just around me just around you

1:22:44

um and and it slowly uh makes its way and envelops all of you and for the next minute all of you guys just feel a

1:22:50

little bit like off balance like like the um the the stability within your head is

1:22:57

just sort of thrown off a little bit do i also feel this you do not because i feel how it was like the last few days

1:23:02

for me kind of like but like it's similar yeah [Music] maybe don't teach me

1:23:09

see i didn't blow up anything all right

1:23:14

[Applause] is it possible to tell where it emanated from or are we just like a little bit

1:23:20

out of it make a perception check for me actually uh i'm i'm just gonna use it

1:23:25

oh okay there you go um yeah as you saw oma as soon as she popped back in right behind

1:23:31

kayla can you see this like wave of like energy coming out from her i have my

1:23:37

emotion my staff over there this one always sometimes maybe uh

1:23:47

there are unexpected outbursts and if if you can deal with that then

1:23:53

well uh maybe you can help us

1:23:58

ah if hayford sent you to us then he knew what we were on about

1:24:04

then did he give you any of that information

1:24:10

he just said that um my skills would be of use to you here what are your skills

1:24:16

indeed um as i said i was part of the uh army of cardone so i'm assuming that

1:24:24

as i used to work in the prison system that and you seem to be wanting to break

1:24:29

into a prison that that is exactly why he contacted me

1:24:38

i had to ensure that you're the right people i don't know if you realize this but we are in oak inspire they take things very

1:24:45

seriously here now someone who used to belong to the army of carl door if i get any trouble with caldwell i will be

1:24:50

labeled a traitor well uh spend enough time with us breaking into prisons i think you're

1:24:56

gonna get labeled as a traitor either way this is why i rely on my skills and that

1:25:01

is why i'm checking to make sure that you are who you say you are but again i as i said you're a friend of hey freed and he has

1:25:07

sent me to assist you and depending on your plans and what uh

1:25:14

exactly you are trying to do in this prison i may or may not assist you with this because again i do desire to not be

1:25:21

labeled as a traitors i would like to go on living outside of um my time here in elk inspire you said

1:25:29

prisons how how many how many prisons are there scattered across this nation of caldo

1:25:35

is is it all the prisons that you're familiar with or or do you know slash have clearance with

1:25:42

the the uh my head is still spinning with the prison in this city

1:25:50

i worked two years in this the prison here in oaklands by the main prison was that before or after you met

1:25:56

hayfried before okay so then you met hayfried and then you decided

1:26:03

that you didn't want to be part of cal durian military anymore or you still are part of it i'm

1:26:09

just really confused you say you don't want to be a traitor

1:26:15

but you also want to be on part of peace you may or may not break into a prison

1:26:21

for us depending on what our plan is and i just need to know like

1:26:26

if you don't like our plan are you gonna tell your friends in the military

1:26:32

or like i just don't really know what side you're on

1:26:38

what do you consider peace like you consider this peace this

1:26:44

we are in a war child no no i know that but like there's not a

1:26:49

war here and at night everybody has to like hide so would you consider this piece one thing that i

1:26:56

respect about oak inspire is that there is an understanding of rules and

1:27:04

law and good behavior and there are

1:27:10

there are good people and bad people on both sides but timmy was just a kid and he got

1:27:16

taken to prison just because he didn't have he lost his papers and that seems a bit extreme like they might cut off his

1:27:22

hand and all because he didn't have any papers and our friend from we were trying to find her and she was just

1:27:27

working in a temple like sweeping and they took her and then like xavier they took him and all we were

1:27:34

doing was studying so like it doesn't really seem to me like that's there are good people and

1:27:40

bad people on both sides don't oh my dad i can't believe i'm saying this

1:27:47

have some respect for the city that we're in even though it's populated with yeah

1:27:53

beings like dwarves we can also perhaps

1:27:59

bow to those who may be from other types of backgrounds as i and as i say that i

1:28:05

look over and i'm just fascinated i'm just fascinated by like just how this how this dragonborn

1:28:11

is like like just just almost like i'm looking at like a

1:28:17

like an alien almost and just like mystified third day

1:28:23

say we were too uh we were planning on uh getting uh uh

1:28:31

three people one of very high uh interest

1:28:37

uh out of the prison here in oak say we were to do that we were planning

1:28:43

on doing that and that we did not plan on harming

1:28:49

anyone past them necessary amount where does that situation

1:28:56

[Music] well i did serve in the army of caldwell and i i i approached calaxo where like

1:29:03

face to face while i did serve in the army of caldwell i have no allegiance to

1:29:09

ongoing battles and fights my desire is for peace and unfortunately

1:29:16

in war not everybody understands the value of life

1:29:22

[Music] it seems like you do how are you achieving peace

1:29:29

right now what are you doing right now

1:29:34

[Music] peace is my ideal but i understand i am i'm but one being and

1:29:42

i can only do so much i and i and i kneel down towards um

1:29:48

omar [Music] young one

1:29:54

you've lived your entire life with all around you you probably only know

1:30:02

violence and anger and and choosing sides

1:30:10

when you look at some of these soldiers they only know one way

1:30:16

and especially when you're in the military you you're almost groomed to think one way

1:30:23

you're groomed to think that the other side are bad and and you should stop it

1:30:29

nothing to to win i am not that

1:30:37

i lived too long as soldier fighting before i realized that

1:30:44

i had lost my way and that is why i left the military i'm finding my own way traveling and trying to learn i

1:30:53

i am trying to understand

1:30:58

how we can bring everybody to the table because i believe that is the way that we we find peace

1:31:05

so i've spent my my last few years traveling i understand your concerns with

1:31:12

what side and what allegiance i may have but i assure you i have no allegiance to the

1:31:19

khaljo army but i also would rather not place myself in

1:31:25

risk of being a traitor if you do not have a plan that i feel will be successful then i will have to

1:31:33

step away and wish you the best of luck but no

1:31:39

know that i understand that even in a place like this

1:31:47

even in war you there are good people and they may be lost

1:31:54

but we do have to respect life regardless i'll reach over and i'll grab her hand

1:32:00

and i'll just hold it and i'll say you sound really scared

1:32:07

and like you don't know what you want to do to get peace

1:32:14

and i'm scared too and i don't know what i'm gonna do to

1:32:20

get repair but we're all just working towards it

1:32:27

and and taking the next best step forward if i had to hazard a guess

1:32:33

i'd say everything sent you to us because our name is the agents of repair

1:32:42

but it's also our purpose we

1:32:47

in our messy uh poorly thought-hot way

1:32:53

uh are trying to put back together the rift between this country

1:32:59

and between this land

1:33:05

i don't know that we can keep your um

1:33:11

citizenship here safe but i can guarantee you that our aim

1:33:16

is just my my friend

1:33:23

he was trying to help me he was trying to help me phone find where i come from and

1:33:28

and why i can't control anything and he was trying to help me figure that out and and

1:33:37

and he thought he was on the right path but then they took him so i don't know

1:33:43

what he found out or why they took him

1:33:48

and considering you can just like get like picked up for anything like not having the right papers

1:33:56

it could have been anything i will say this i only laid eyes upon him once when i

1:34:04

looked into his eyes seemed like he'd seen generations

1:34:10

of things he'd rather not have seen and i looked over to

1:34:15

the rest of the party perhaps that's what the caldurians might be afraid of and why they are keeping

1:34:23

him under such tight lock and key perhaps they are afraid

1:34:28

of him we don't want to hurt anybody and i can't guarantee that

1:34:36

getting these three people out of prison is gonna bring peace

1:34:43

but it's the next right thing to do

1:34:51

and hopefully eventually that leads us to the right place just as hey freeze

1:34:56

[Music] stones in his chamber form and we're just putting one foot in front

1:35:02

of the other and this is the the next step toward uh almost even a

1:35:08

personal piece if you will

1:35:14

do you still have any association with the caldorian

1:35:19

military are there are there ways that we could

1:35:24

other ways that you could make contact with them i i think a plan might be hatching in my

1:35:29

own brain based on my experience with the previous prison complex that i investigated

1:35:36

perhaps perhaps you could be attempting to imprison us

1:35:42

perhaps you could be returning to the military and

1:35:48

taking us in a sort of deceptive way into the prison as

1:35:54

prisoners what do you all think about that that gets us in but um

1:36:00

how do we get out then i hadn't quite figured that part out yet we improvise

1:36:06

i don't like the way we embrace hey we've been all right i was so far

1:36:13

i'm sorry so you had no plan about how to well we were in the midst of forming it

1:36:19

yeah we were about we just got here and i don't know if you know this but like i was not in my body for so long and we

1:36:28

had to figure that out first okay there was an island and it was crazy sorry you were not

1:36:34

you were not in your own body as you said it was a long story i speak

1:36:40

for yourself and i rub my knees sorely as you said it was a long story we also have quite a few long stories

1:36:46

maybe best to leave that one on set for now yeah point is we just haven't had

1:36:52

time to really focus on it which is what we were gonna do right now and we were gonna make a plan we weren't just gonna

1:36:57

like run in i was gonna go and like scope out the

1:37:02

wall and like learn a bit more about the area and

1:37:07

i think they were gonna go to like the library or something with books and

1:37:12

figure some stuff out and like we were just gonna come back together tonight and and come

1:37:18

up with something you know but you just happen to fall into our laps because of

1:37:23

hayfreed which you know all thanks to hayfreed thanks afraid and i just kind of like shake my head and

1:37:30

say to myself what is this old man gotten me into he sent you to us to help us because you

1:37:37

know the prisons clearly he knew that you knew the and what you knew could help us

1:37:43

you're not quite i think that's right anyway i followed that particular

1:37:48

surprise to help us so tell me a bit more about your friend

1:37:54

please my friend yes um well

1:38:00

he's kind of like hayford if hey free didn't have a checkered past like he can do a lot of things

1:38:06

i don't really know his past so i mean i guess he could have a checkered past but like i don't think he does um

1:38:12

but he he helped me i i wasn't raised with him but like once

1:38:18

i got into town he found me and he knows how to do magic and i know how to do magic but it's kind of different

1:38:25

like i don't know how to do it the way he does it and he can't do it the way i do it but

1:38:31

he was helping me figure that out and we traveled for like a little bit and and and and and then he was taken and that's

1:38:38

kind of all i know um so we're talking about

1:38:47

oh and i just sort of take a moment and start uh pace back and forth

1:38:53

so your friend is a highly powerful

1:38:59

[Music] magic user is that what you're telling me yes so he's got these apparently according to he's got these like metal

1:39:05

things on his arms that don't let him do any magic but hey free gave us a little piece of string right here and i pull out the little piece of string and we're

1:39:11

supposed to wrap it around his arms and it's supposed to undo them help us get him out

1:39:22

your plan is to somehow go into one of

1:39:27

the most protected prisons in to get a magical prisoner who is going to be

1:39:34

very well guarded very difficult to access and

1:39:39

use something from hayfreed and then somehow escape

1:39:45

well shreya saw him in prison before and he wasn't that guarded so i mean it shouldn't be that hard here

1:39:51

we're still forming the plan especially i think we already mentioned like yeah and he was not in the process

1:39:58

i think they think that the magical cuff things are like all he really needs because he wasn't really

1:40:04

around a lot of people before when i saw him when i saw him they were transporting him and then he had like lots of guards but it's different it's

1:40:10

totally different he doesn't even seem to remain in one place for very long there is a chance that we go into that

1:40:17

prison and he's been moved again i'll turn to uh faraday

1:40:23

listen i know this sounds like a lot because it is

1:40:29

and i just sort of smile again i guess i'm looking up um but

1:40:36

we're going to do it we're going to try and

1:40:42

if you want to help us [Music] you can come along this

1:40:48

is apparently how you're finding peace so it's up to you

1:40:54

also if you don't want to come with us you don't have to but we could use your help coming up with a plan because at least you know the prison so like if you

1:41:01

could just like help us build a map even that would be great anything you could give us would be helpful just your just

1:41:07

your knowledge you know so so maybe he didn't send you to us to like get us in and get us out and then you

1:41:14

won't have to be a trader you can just like give us information

1:41:19

and help us build a plan with your military strategy because you're so wise and big

1:41:25

and strong she's pretty big yeah and pretty and interesting

1:41:32

why doesn't she ever talk to me like that

1:41:37

you're pretty too kellick thank you please look at elmo with this smile of

1:41:43

like her child while

1:41:48

this does sound intriguing i will have to bring up

1:41:55

that my services do not come for free okay well what do you mean i mean hatred

1:42:01

sent you to us so what do you want

1:42:08

well and i do want you to consider also that not only are getting my expertise but if

1:42:13

i come with you again i am risking my own potential future depending on how

1:42:21

this goes okay what is the price for a plan and what is the price for your help how's a magical sword sound to you

1:42:29

yeah and i just sort of indicate the giant maul that's in my

1:42:35

head yeah that one's pretty cool i'm just not at it yes

1:42:41

okay that so doesn't answer my question what's your price we're well aware of the risk you'd be taking to aid us but

1:42:46

we're not uh brimming with time here so what is it will you help us or not and what's your

1:42:52

price that's it and i turned kalec because i'm assessing

1:42:57

that he's the leader he's taking charges

1:43:03

[Laughter]

1:43:19

125 gold so you'd betray a country for a bitter gold

1:43:26

did i say this was my country are you quite concerned with being a traitor

1:43:31

that's all makes them unwrapped you know what they do to treat us here we saw

1:43:37

we did all right ah do we have that

1:43:43

you know that yeah yeah yes 120 what's the cost for just coming

1:43:48

up with a plan i could um

1:43:55

discuss some things with you but the thing is what's the cause for like advisory support

1:44:01

advisory support hourly rate you know

1:44:07

and if you just want to bounce off your ideas off me then i

1:44:12

would say 25 gold and a nice meal

1:44:18

if we start with that do we get like a down payment or like

1:44:24

can it be deducted from that yeah exactly like if we buy a dinner and um get your planning

1:44:32

rate of 25 gold for some some insight and then we decide like hey we actually

1:44:37

get along and like you think i'm pretty too and you want to help me then is that then deducted and then we just

1:44:43

owe you 100 gold or now is that like now we won't need both do you do anything i sweep my wings out

1:44:50

and i like uh take a step in well if you want to take it from someone who is

1:44:55

actually quite versed with military negotiation and getting the best prices

1:45:02

i can tell you that uh it never usually takes this much time and perhaps we should find a

1:45:09

more scenic place to discuss these things and lay them out well it's just a yes or no question

1:45:17

depends on how good the dinner is huh you're the local where do you

1:45:22

recommend a nice place

1:45:27

um let me see it's still breakfast we've got a nice lunch you know a nice place yeah

1:45:35

you would uh be able to get a uh like a nice little lunch

1:45:41

at um

1:45:46

you know a little sandwich soup kind of deal a little combo half and half a little half and half

1:45:52

um at the broken lantern it's like a it's like a nice little

1:45:57

they're mostly dinners but like they do a nice lunch a nice bistro yeah yeah

1:46:03

now for us from where we are um that is gonna be about like a

1:46:09

15 to 20 minute walk yeah

1:46:14

so you guys are currently um the the you guys coming out of the park and

1:46:20

everything and this this in that you guys are staying at you guys are currently in the southern district um

1:46:26

but you guys are pretty close to the middle where the royal district is like you guys are are almost

1:46:32

coming up against that so if you wanted to go to the eastern or the western district it's not really that far um

1:46:38

away you guys are sort of in the middle of the the city pretty much um oh look to the group um

1:46:44

i don't know about you guys but i just ate a lot of food

1:46:49

um and it's still in the morning should we go like check some stuff out maybe if

1:46:56

do we have to pay you to walk with us this is getting weird but we could just go walk by the area that you were

1:47:03

talking about alma yeah i mean we kind of need some insight so i don't think the president is near the statues though

1:47:08

well maybe she can be eastern district prove to us that she has information that we can trust and we can go walk by

1:47:14

the royal area she can tell us a few things and then we can make our decision if we want to pay here yes take us around the

1:47:19

city a little bit yeah it's a very new area for us please um

1:47:24

i do have a lot of business in town i will give you an hour of my time this morning and you can decide in that time

1:47:31

[Music] all right fair enough just don't go out enough to your

1:47:36

military friends as friends of hayfreed i would not betray you as that so we've got an hour of your time

1:47:43

um i guess we should just use that with you giving us some insight into into the prison right so like

1:47:49

maybe we should just like go somewhere quiet or why don't we go back to that nice serene park i think it would be best if we head

1:47:56

toward where we're supposed to be heading in the long run actually get to lay the land with someone who's yeah can

1:48:02

you show us kind of like where the prison sites are and just walk in a safe distance around them so you

1:48:08

can kind of show us where we would be going how long would it take to get to

1:48:14

like where the like getting to the prison um you know these streets pretty well so i would say um

1:48:21

it would probably take you about a half an hour of of walking at a pretty good pace

1:48:29

i'm gonna clock everywhere she takes me just like building a map okay gotcha

1:48:34

okay are you guys heading over in that direction yes yes okay um awesome so you guys are

1:48:41

walking through the city oma you're taking notes of exactly where everything is

1:48:46

you're getting a pretty good map in your head of um of the city and where you're going and everything and um after about

1:48:53

30 minutes of walking uh you guys can see a building on the on the

1:48:59

sort of horizon as this city the some of the the buildings make way and it opens

1:49:05

up into this massive stone structure um you can see the way that you guys are

1:49:11

facing um you see one giant wall that's just flat you can't even see where it

1:49:18

turns if it even turns you guys can't see any of the other edges you can just see one flat face um and you see um

1:49:26

three of these um like uh giant towers um within the wall itself

1:49:34

um and you can see very well fortified this thing is um

1:49:40

probably i'd say about a hundred feet tall you don't see any stairs going up you barely

1:49:47

even see any loose stones that are protruding out from the wall um

1:49:52

just this massive wall so as you guys are approaching

1:49:59

you see it um are you guys going to try and walk around it [Music]

1:50:04

uh i'm going to defer to faraday where are you leading them are you

1:50:11

leading um you you know approaching it um you know if you go right you would be

1:50:17

sort of taking them on a tour of the entire wall um and if you go left you're

1:50:23

heading towards this side of it that has the main entrance which uh where are you gonna be taking him

1:50:31

um first i'm going to stop um

1:50:36

well this is first of all this is what you are trying to

1:50:42

uh breach right we have no uh

1:50:47

delusions about that and you said you had

1:50:52

you had your own experience breaking in and out of a prison before [Music]

1:50:58

it's solaris yeah we used the sewer system there to

1:51:04

penetrate you will not find that will assist you here that knowledge of under of them

1:51:12

the setup of this prison is going to be quite different than maybe what you've experienced in solaris

1:51:20

so there's no underground anywhere here i don't know how much you know about the history of oak and spire

1:51:26

but this used to be the old mining district so basically they converted mines into a prisons you cannot

1:51:33

they sort of built in when they created the prison they made everything internal because

1:51:40

they wanted to ensure the security of it that makes sense

1:51:46

so like are the prisoners in the tunnels and they sort of chuckle so

1:51:52

depending on the severity of the crimes they may be located in different

1:51:58

um parts of the prison as well as in different levels of the prison

1:52:05

okay so timmy just didn't have his papers so that's

1:52:10

probably like not somewhere right we don't really know what zeta did

1:52:17

so i don't unclear is there well my question is twofold

1:52:23

uh is there a log book somewhere where we could find the location of each of the prisoners that we're looking to

1:52:29

break free and do you have any proposal as to how we would get

1:52:34

through the front gate here maybe shreya's idea [Music]

1:52:40

there are there are records obviously that they keep of the prisoners

1:52:46

but we would or you really would have to find a way to access those records

1:52:53

and then find your way navigate the prison to find your friend we'd start there with the records and

1:53:01

then move on that makes sense to me why go forward if we don't know where to and we are slightly adept at uh

1:53:10

creating our own i say this really under my breath caldurian records

1:53:15

perhaps we could perhaps we could make some ourselves slightly adept is an apt choice of words

1:53:21

i would say yes yes indeed and one other question uh

1:53:28

do the caldorians use any tools animals other beasts to try to maintain order in

1:53:35

the prison or or is it just beings that looked like

1:53:41

and then i motioned to the rest of the party [Music] there are many different gods

1:53:48

um depending on the floor that you are trying to go to there are obviously going to be

1:53:54

guards patrolling all around it and on the different floors i cannot speak to exactly who would be on which floor

1:54:02

and who may be guarding which cell are there ever any like

1:54:07

dignitaries that visit or like people from other like because it would be better if not

1:54:13

all of us were prisoners right if only one of us were prisoners so like maybe there's a guard exchange

1:54:19

or like or like a prisoner exchange and like everybody was guards except for one

1:54:24

person does that ever happen there uh

1:54:30

again depending on the level that um your friend may be on there are constant

1:54:37

watches on essentially every level yeah

1:54:43

you would you would know um just that dimension of like dignitaries and stuff like that um there

1:54:49

are a couple of different um times that people can come in that aren't necessarily

1:54:54

guards um you do know that there are several like inspection teams um just to

1:55:00

make sure that everything is all up to the code that they have um make sure

1:55:05

that um magical prisoners aren't going to be escaping making sure all the equipment is is set up correctly um and

1:55:11

then there's also like um staff inspectors making sure that you know all

1:55:16

the guards are um doing their job correctly and and all of that um and

1:55:21

then you would also know that they contract outside cleaning crews to come

1:55:27

in and if something happens they gotta they gotta clean up um whether on purpose or on

1:55:32

accident uh they gotta have an outside cleaning crew come in and then um

1:55:40

just general maintenance um you would know also comes in

1:55:45

those are and then also eventually every once in a while um

1:55:50

there is like a um a guest of the royal family or a

1:55:57

governor or someone important coming in from out of town who um the the warden shows around

1:56:04

the prison so and to address your other question your other inquiry um

1:56:11

standard visitors are quite limited there are visiting hours but as far as

1:56:17

those who are not in the military who may be able to enter it

1:56:24

depends on their business there are certain visitors that are allowed there are obviously

1:56:29

[Music] you know they have to have crew to assist with

1:56:35

caring for the facility and and um ensuring especially for your more

1:56:43

dangerous criminals that the prisoner is

1:56:49

well guarded and that everything that needs to be done to ensure that the prisoner stays where they need to be

1:56:56

and that all all avenues have been addressed and that

1:57:02

there is no weaknesses um in their security systems

1:57:08

well that seems like there could be a couple of openings for us right uh

1:57:14

certainly some of us stand out a bit more than others uh so it'd be hard to pose as um

1:57:22

typical uh cleaning crew comparison but if we posed and and um

1:57:29

i don't want to be saying this like at the gate so like kind of like as we were walking around and as we're yeah um you

1:57:36

guys are still a couple streets away um but just the enormity of this thing you're well seen great and can i have

1:57:42

been keeping just an eye and air out for anyone who may be passing by for sure um

1:57:55

it could be wise to be an inspection team though because

1:58:01

it arguably if we're inspecting magic we would be magic users and some of us

1:58:08

would look different than others because we have the right skills so we could all go and and and and if we're

1:58:15

inspecting then we could make the warden show us where he keeps his records

1:58:21

because we're inspecting to make sure that they're secure and that their records are accurate are accurate and

1:58:27

then i mean we have plenty of tools to make notes that seem like they're

1:58:36

caldorian focused and and we could be from eyebrow race

1:58:41

and and faraday what's your when you left the military were you on

1:58:47

good terms it was called honorably discharged but

1:58:52

yes so like theoretically you could be contracting out with somebody who also

1:58:59

works in security and you're like i'm

1:59:04

ex-military so like now i work with security offices and i help

1:59:11

and these are the foremost experts in

1:59:23

i mean he could like make the stuff move and seem like it's growing that kind of seems like no well

1:59:31

he can make the rocks move right you can make the dirt move i could probably make it seem like i could manipulate uh the

1:59:38

matter of the structure at will and that i could make it seem to be impressive like i could uh

1:59:44

have knowledge that i don't have although i'm not as good at lying also we did come here with the and i'll

1:59:51

hush it with the idea that kellik was the

1:59:56

going on a uh healing journey and i was a bodyguard trial was a whoa but but and and and he could he

2:00:04

could be he could be he could be making sure that all the prisoners are in good health exactly and that all the guards

2:00:10

are doing the right things and that and that everyone is healthy because they don't want prisoners dying unless they

2:00:15

want them to die i think that's that might be more believable you have you could only those things but but he can't

2:00:20

be a dog why would he be a doctor he could be a doctor he's my companion or you know he sniffs

2:00:26

out trouble yeah yeah exactly oh that's okay i can't take any i don't i this sounds

2:00:32

strange to you i can assume many forms and i'll be me and i'm your warden

2:00:37

right now i'm your ward and you're teaching us this is alma she's here to be your new

2:00:42

warden for your presence no but you're teaching me so i could be here helping you heal i can't heal

2:00:48

anything though typically words don't do much they carry things you know

2:01:00

and everything we just make a little bit of additions to them yeah talk a little bit more about like

2:01:06

inspecting the health and welfare and if faraday comes with us she's just another party card i could change she's

2:01:12

jesus christ we just like hired more security who they know their way around it's like you know the who the warden

2:01:18

i think she'll do do you know who the warden is who works here would i know that

2:01:24

whether they would contract out for like or if they had their own like healers

2:01:30

health and safety um uh yeah it's you've definitely you've seen it happen a couple times um and it definitely
