so

previously you all had ventured deep

beneath

a abandoned graveyard that you guys had

stumbled upon

in trying to find the source of these

mysterious shadows that were creeping

over the land

and diving deep you found uh a number of

rooms and

catacombs some of them holding gems that

always seem to be just out of reach and

disappearing when you tried to grab them

diving deeper you guys found rooms

filled with

mysterious iron guards and and

tombs lining the walls venturing deeper

and deeper down

you guys opened up into a what seemed to

be a main

burial chamber where you guys saw a

a transformed goblin who had transformed

into this

orange and red werewolf after a bit of a

scuffle

and uh a bit of a combat flynn was able

to wrestle

the crown off the top of this werewolf's

head seemingly ending its transformation

now the goblin laying there quivering on

the ground

after the combat died down you guys

inspected each of these tombs

and discovered a little bit about who

rests there or in one case who doesn't

rest there as one of the caskets is open

and unoccupied

noticing that farlane was no longer with

your group you guys had gone back out

into the hallway

seeing that he had uh had his own combat

there with one of these

mechanical iron guards having uh

killed it seemingly as the guard

also plunged its sword deep into his

chest

kellock was able to stabilize farlane

and shrae decided to stay with him to

nurse him hopefully back to health as

the rest of you guys went off

to venture through the rest of these

catacombs

so with shraya now perched

over the body of farlane trying to apply

some of his medicines the rest of you

guys back off

and begin exploring the rest of this

tomb

so with that what would you guys like to

do um

before we leave could we like say we're

still with

tria so we kind of moved up yeah

flynn oh i'll kind of pipe up um

first guys i just want to make sure he's

safe um is that thing and i point to the

golem thing is that thing dead is it

coming back to life second um that

moving sludge i want to make sure that

things not coming down here

and third what do we do with the goblin

that's

unconscious should we bring it over to

the group um with with shraya

do you want to keep after that what do

we do i just want to make sure if we

leave

let's get our bearings let's see what

these these hallways contain

right let's just see how far we're

talking because we could it could be a

broom closet

you know there's no there's no knowing

whether or not one of them is the

latrine

all right let's go peek really quick

just to see

can i um put my hands up to my forehead

and just feel if there's still an eye

there

yeah so you reach your hands up and you

sort of pull back

your uh cloak and touching your forehead

you no longer feel an eye

on your forehead marge march is gone oh

thank god much march look look

look look i have just a forehead again

i am going to kind of almost do

i i kind of know how you do that alma i

got it like how

did you were you just bored and wanted

to see every which way

i've so many questions about how it

works

yeah i i didn't do it i don't know it

just kind of showed up you didn't

do it it just kind of showed up you did

some things with your hands

yelled at flynn and did you had it on

your head the next thing i tried

to do something else with my hands next

time i don't know

i just put my hands out i could i could

try something else and maybe that'll

work i don't know

do you want my bow instead just in case

i don't know how to use a bow well it

seems like something's up every time you

cast a spell i don't want it to like

kill you or us yeah but how do i know if

what my hands do with the bow

doesn't also cause that to happen i we

just don't there's not a lot of

knowledge here

maybe just be careful

and i just put my hand i put my hands

under my legs and i just like i'm gonna

keep i'm gonna lose my body

i wanna just sort of like like lean down

to sort of just get to

to sort of her ear level a little bit

and just be like

just remember you're a really badass

little girl

you've got it you're pretty kick-ass

don't worry about it

it was pretty it was pretty cool it was

a little weird but it was pretty cool

you did great in there and then kind of

clap her back real quick and then just

stand back

i'm just anxiously re-wrapping

the bandage on my arm and just looking

at all those

just just studying her

how far away are the stairs leading down

to this

area uh the stairs are about 10 feet

away

well while they're kind of chatting and

he's wrapping his arms and did i just

like take my torch that i have and just

kind of go up the stairs and just take a

peek and a listen

just to see if i hear that acidy sound

getting closer

yeah as you round the corner you make

your way to the top of the stairs around

the corner

and once again you hear do i have a

visual

and looking around the corner you can

see that this um black

ooze is just beginning to consume the

last goblin body

having barely moved um from

where you saw it last which was a couple

minutes ago

okay my eyes go wide i don't say a word

i

sneak back down the stairs um

the uh sludgy thing is uh almost done

almost uh done with this meal um i don't

know if that means it's coming down here

next

so let's check these doors out quick

try we'll keep our lane safe we'll we'll

just have to

face each challenge as it comes yeah

yeah all right look back at triad

hey man um i know it's

it's my mission to you know figure out

what's wrong here and

i think part of that also means to keep

you safe um

and i'll reach back on my back and i'll

take my shield

take it off i'll kind of just rest it up

against the

wall next to him

in case you need it and i'll leave my

wooden shield

just leaned up next to him and on on the

face of it you see it's just there's

like a simple etching of this like it

looks like a c

and then vertically there's like a line

just going through the sea

from top to bottom and that's like the

little etching on it i just like lean it

up against the wall

you know just stay safe we'll be right

around

right around the corner thank you my

small

friend any time

i look at keller all right

ready march and alma you want to come

with

uh right uh

flynn you go with me we'll go right

martinoma just look left uh if anything

is bigger than a broom closet

uh don't go in just yet and

we'll try to assess where the best

course of action is

okay sounds good great all right let's

okay um so who's going in through

the door on the right man flynn

okay and then the other two are going

through the door on the left okay um

first we will follow flynn and kellik as

you guys

go over to this wooden door um it is

a heavy wooden door um it's opened

just very slightly but not enough for

anything to enter or exit it looks like

possibly the goblins that were in here

tried to open it but it was just too

heavy of a door for them to move

um i'm gonna have both of you guys make

a strength check

to see if you guys can open this thing

um separately or can i just help him

you can yeah give him advantage if you'd

like yeah i'll do that just

take me i have very terrible i rolled a

three

and then a 20. okay that's nice

you are the strongest i don't know still

up in the air so at first

uh you sort of underestimate the weight

of this door and you're not really

getting it and then you find your

footing and are able to uh push it open

and it opens up into a room

that is about a 30 foot diameter

um a complete almost perfect

circle here um and in the middle you see

a very

similar pillar to what you had seen

before with a

red gem perched atop ah there she blows

hmm hey is there anything else in the

room

i'll hold my torch in there to kind of

get a little bit of light to see if i

see anything else

um looking around you see that there are

um completely smooth walls

all around the stone here has been

carved and shaved down

uh to almost a perfect surface all right

so there's just this one pillar holding

that stone just like the center

okay and otherwise how how why did you

say that the diameter was

about 30 feet 30 feet all right and as

you guys look into this room

uh march and oma you guys also um i'm

gonna have you guys make uh

strength checks as well i'm gonna give

um

march advantage okay you can do it march

all right uh it's 17.

17. um yeah you are able to push this

door open

no problem at all and um when it opens

up you see something very similar

about a 30 foot in diameter circular

room

the walls are all perfectly carved down

and

in the center of it is a single pillar

but doesn't have anything on top of it

you also see

a table off in the far corner

um it looks like a very um

well-crafted thick wooden table

what do you guys see there's a pillow

over here on a table

do you guys see the crystal i that we do

um there's just a pillar in here is

there anything in yours

there's a table you want to check that

out and then we'll do the crystally

thingy

yeah we won't let's not go in this one

first because the crystal will probably

move let's ch

let's check out your room first let's

see what's in that table we'll want to

have

one person at each pillar again probably

do you think even the ones up

assuming we want anything to do with

this crystal the only things in this

place

are dangerous horrible things

but maybe but maybe we need to know

where that is

to help us to help us defeat the lord of

the night

shadows all right all right what's in

the table

you walk into the room uh there are four

of us okay yeah we'll go

to the table room you guys walk into the

room with the table and

you walk over to the table and um very

similar iconography to

what has been decorated onto the walls

here and onto the caskets themselves

very similar symbology you even see some

of the same um

writing and the same letters even though

it's not the same phrases

it all seems very similar and connected

on top of this table

you see in a glass case almost like a

display case

resting there looks like a forearm

bracer

a single bracer um you guys look and

on the inside of it right where sort of

the inside of your wrist is

there is a little circle that seems to

be

sort of a holding place the

bracer itself looks to be made of

some some very nicely worked leathers

that has um again intricate iconography

and designs all over it

is any of it lupine does it look like a

a

wolfy wolfy bracelet um

i'm going to have you make an arcana

check for me i'll hold the

torch up to it so we can see really bad

like really clearly

how large is this bracelet uh

kind of looking like vern wasn't made i

guess that

would answer i guess caleb will be

answering this question to a degree but

yeah for sure um you can see actually

that it is

um like one sort of strip of leather um

and it's got

uh just some sort of like um some

looks like either iron or some sort of

uh

silver metal that has been um

integrated into the bracer itself on the

uh outside

of it you can see that there is um sort

of like these

uh loops to either tighten or loosen

so it could probably fit most anyone's

arm

in that case i am going to be full-on

mesmerized by this sucker

uh it's a 19 on the arcana uh 19. uh

nothing lupine about it nothing

indicating

any sort of werewolf uh

anything of that sort um but it just it

does seem like a

a some sort of like magical

sort of thing the body

that was the red wolf was was human

correct yes the body that was in the

tomb

of the red wolf was human so maybe

maybe he changed back and forth

sure like he put the crown on and would

become the wolf and then he would take

the crown off and also be a

chief are there any drawers or

papers that we see on the on the desk

no um it looks like this the desk it's

has a single purpose which is to display

this bracer

i am

gonna just be mesmerized by it and

going closer and kind of reaching a hand

towards the base

okay um there is uh a glass case

over the bracer so in order to get to it

you would have to remove that would you

like to do that

oh yeah okay and you very carefully um

remove the glass case and the glass case

over the years it looks like there's

been some dust accumulated on the top of

this thing so as you move it

um you're able to get an even clearer

look at this thing and it looks

beautifully crafted

i'd like to prepare an action to smack

march's hand

yeah i'm reaching for that sucker i

don't

i don't know what it is i don't it's

just

that would make a really great

collection to

my armor okay um

i am going to have both of you guys uh

make a

dexterity check for me

so march you you reach out for it and

kelly you're able to

swat her hand away just in time but

before she literally like

like a catholic school teacher just like

smack

marge what you don't know if that's

going to turn you into a wolf

the last the last piece of anything that

was found

here turned a goblin into a giant wolf

and i'm i'm gonna fall on just

i'm gonna have a pout about it i'm

actually gonna be a little bum

bummed out that everything that alma is

saying is logical and makes perfect

sense

we could we could wrap it up and take it

with us and get it checked out somewhere

we should do that is it dm does it have

language on it does it have the same

kind of words

as we've seen in the cr and the coffins

and the caskets um

no there doesn't seem to be any any

words um

on it it just seems to have like similar

symbology was that you said there was a

circular inlay

yes for the jam

is it about the same size as the gem

that we've been in exactly the same size

caleb you're so smart listen it's not my

first time in a crypt

march you spend a lot of time questions

wait a second

go back to that i i work and

i deal with bodies it's kind of like i

thought you

dealt with bodies to keep them alive not

to yeah

i got fired

i don't know if i want to know more

about this i just think that flynn

touched the crown

and he was able to figure out that it

was making him a little weird so i see

no reason why i shouldn't be able to

touch this arm bracer

because then perhaps i could figure out

that it would make me a little bit weird

i suspect marsh that you put this bracer

on

and it won't have any

positive effects without the the gem in

addition to it

always so you think the gem goes on the

bracer

there's a slot for for something

plenty do you agree you've got some kind

of let's do it let's do

let's do let's do it we all have to go

to our pillars we all have to go to a

pillar

and we all have to make sure so so even

though we just made a case for not doing

this

no i said we should take it i said we

should take the bracer with us yeah but

why should we take the bracer with us if

it doesn't have a gem in it guys guys

two later positions okay sure

that means that means you have to go

upstairs flynn

what and you see flynn has kind of now

stood back at the doorway as you guys

were

are there enough of us

upstairs upstairs downstairs downstairs

here

there's enough of us

yeah flynn says like what as you see

that he's back he's now back at the

doorway where

to the entrance of the room and he's

like just like listening trying to hear

if try is okay and like listening

you gotta go back to where the ooze is

don't get killed

really yeah yeah and try

we're these rooms don't go very far so

we don't have to go very far but you do

have to go back to the first pillar

and march no

oh you can't stay here march do you want

to go to the first one in this

hallway and kellie will go to the over

to the left and i'll stay here

does this mean i have to a minute i have

to leave far lane behind

we're all gonna be right here why

why not uh try i'll i'll

step out in the hallway with him you

take far lane into the smallest

room the behind the locked door because

it's right here

so and parliament's not too he's not

you know and he'll and and so shraya

will stand next to the pillar

on that one yeah why not okay okay

what um just in case doors shut or

things explode

it might be a good idea just to leave

farlane in this area here

with the crypt like just leaned up

against a pillar just i don't i don't

want to let farlane out of my sight

he's not going to be alone right he's

not going to be alone

we'll be in there with

he'd be alone oh well can't try to just

bring him into the room with him

to the pillar we don't know what they do

though still he's better with one of us

than by himself what if we leave him in

the room outside of the door

and try i can still see him but not

well what if he's just inside the door

and then the door shuts and then kaboom

try is there too

try i will leave it to you he's your

friend i will take him with me to my

task

that's fair okay to your positions

i'll stay here follow the orders of a

child

why are you staying here yeah why are

you staying here because i'm not tempted

by the bracer

yeah that's fair also i want to see what

it looks like when it gets here

maybe there'll be a big kaboom here

she's got

sound logic yeah i'm not really happy

about that

sludge thing um you'll have calic with

you

he'll keep you safe wait am i going to

the top i thought i was going to the one

to the right i thought you want to try

it to be here

no there's one so there's two down here

next to the red wolves

oh okay so you'll have march with you

even better

all right so each of you guys uh go to

your respective pillars

um who is there's uh the one downstairs

that

uh flynn and kilik had just discovered

with the gem

on it uh who is going to that one march

i think right she's going to go to that

caleb is going to that one kellick

caleb's not going upstairs with me

no marge is going upstairs with you in

the very first room okay so

try and farlane are at the one that's

like in the hallway downstairs

you're at the one with the bracer

kellick is at the one

that has the crystal and he's gonna go

in there and grab it at the last second

and then march is going to the very very

first one i'm going to the one next to

the ooze

okay so um you guys all get into

position

and kellic as you reach your hand out

towards the gem

once again it disappears from your sight

and all of you see exactly the same

thing

which is the gem flickering in and out

of existence

almost instantaneously there and then

not there there and then not there there

and then not there i'm gonna have all of

you guys make a slight of hand check

as this gem is is teleporting from

location to location

and is unable to settle in one place as

uh everyone is there i crit failed but

can i role play that i didn't want it

[Laughter]

sure sour grapes eh i yeah

so this thing is flickering back and

forth from location to location location

and then all of a sudden

everyone sees it stops teleporting

and it's not teleporting to you anymore

tria in your hand you are holding a red

gem that's mine so perfect because he's

the one that wanted it he wanted it

first

is everyone all right i don't see it it

didn't

does anybody have eyes on it is anybody

holding it it's gone

it's not here and i'm just gonna slowly

grumble at first and then

and then shout after the first one it

belongs to me now

it belongs to me now trial

but it goes in a bracer

i don't think i know that because i

wasn't with you guys you don't

so can can we all come back all right

let's meet up sounds like shreya got it

yeah on my way back down

can i look for that sludgy thing again

as i'm leaving

let's see yeah as you leave your room um

the

ooze is just finishing consuming the

last goblin body there

um does it look like it's going to be

done in a few seconds i want to see

where it goes

if you want to wait for a minute or two

you can definitely yeah i'll give it a

i'll give it a few

few seconds and see where it's going to

be going i'll like leave my room but

like peek in and like watch to see if

it's going to keep coming this way or go

back to

okay um as it finishes consuming and you

can still hear that

as soon as it finishes it retracts

from where the last goblin body was and

there is nothing left

bones skin flesh clothing everything has

been consumed

as it begins to retract up back into

uh the wall that had been partially

collapsed

okay as i see it kind of retract back in

i'll head down

knowing that it's not coming after us

yet

uh so are we all sort of gathered in

that same hallway

on the lower floor yeah so you guys all

all meet back up in the

in the main chamber i will have tucked

the gem under my wing with the other

gems

with the other gems okay you got the gem

uh yes it's it's uh i have it now

do you want to see where it fits and see

what happens

i'm not sure if i'm ready to let it go

yet

i understand sometimes i have things and

i don't want other people to have them

but also

sometimes other people have things and i

want it and i take it

so sometimes we don't get things that we

want even if we really really want them

does that make sense i take out the gem

and i just stare into it

and say just give me a few more seconds

with it

do you want to be the person to put it

in wait

should we try and find some answers to

what these things are before we

align why because the last magical item

that came from this created

a world of shadows big enough to cover

the entire forest plus a werewolf but

how are we supposed to know unless we

try

should we check out where the other room

is um that ooze kind of once it was done

completely devouring and

um consuming whatever bodies were laying

there uh it kind of retracted

into that room again that's the only

area that we haven't checked out and

maybe there

has more answers is there anything else

on the desk that we see

any drawers or papers we can no

and flynn just as clarification um the

wall itself had collapsed

um so there's like rocks and dirt and

stuff coming

um into that room you did not see

another room

beyond that it wasn't like a wall had

broken down it was

like the dirt the pressure from the dirt

outside had broken through the stone

barrier

oh there's no i thought it was a door no

it just it it retracted up

into sort of the the cracks in between

the rocks and the stone

that had collapsed oh okay got it i

thought it was another room okay cool

yeah yeah um never mind um it

[Laughter]

wasn't a door so if this is everything

yeah i mean i think that we should just

try is there a is there a language

expert

in the commune that you know is there

someone who might know

you know i understand there's there's

some kind of elder that helped

uh take care of the men we injured uh

maybe she would know maybe there's some

kind of scholar

of the language of this place yum

um if anyone it would probably be

that um the elder that had come over and

helped with the healing of the

uh the elves there are older elves in

the commune but

i'm not sure i'm not sure that

it's worth a try i suppose i mean we

have

everything so just for argument's sake

we have to go back through the forest

right

to get to the village

this lord of the night might be

somewhere out in the forest and if we

have

all the things that maybe it wants like

a crown and a jewel

and a gauntlet or bracer um

do we really want to have those all

together

to be attacked and then have them taken

from us i'm i'm actually thinking maybe

we

now that we've kind of checked

everything out maybe we should try

putting the crown back in place maybe

it'll bring

back this person that left

um the person who left doesn't seem like

somebody we would want to bring back

like bring back to his crypt and then we

close them

oh you mean the lord of the night yeah

the one that's missing maybe

he's missing because he was able to get

out

and if we put the crown back in its

place maybe it like will

fix the problem what do you think

do you think what are the odds that

goblin knows anything

about us very slim but he might

we have no information i'm tempted to do

the same i think it's worth trying

putting

the crown back where we found it or

where they found it

uh because in theory

it might undo whatever this curse is

that came from robin the grave in the

first place

maybe can i um while they do that can i

try to go wake up the goblin

yeah sure um you can make a medicine

check

pretty high actually um 19.

uh 19 you see that uh definitely

definitively this goblin is down for the

count um

unconscious and probably going to take a

while to recover

um you probably surmise that

alithar back at the camp being an elf

has a little bit of a sturdier

constitution

and mental will than a goblin would

i don't think he's gonna wake up guys

all right well i guess we try and put it

in the placeholder

and see you know if that fixes it

what do you what do you think march

i don't like the idea of just of just

leaving it here but i also feel that we

haven't got any other

choice yeah because didn't it say if

like the tomb was disturbed or something

was taken

yeah it did so maybe if we put it back

it fixes the problem

it's worth a try i mean curses like this

are not so easily undone

all right well here goes nothing

and i'll pull the crown out of my bag

and walk over to the

crypt okay

and you put the crown back in the tomb

um yeah

it's such a loaded question yeah so you

reach down and you put the

crown back into the little placeholder

where it was

and you feel a slight tremble within the

ground around you

and you hear echoing throughout this

this cavern

everyone hears a an echoing whisper

and the ground begins to rumble once

more and slowly

the casket begins to close as the

the top piece by itself the stone moves

back into place

and seems to seal back in

and you guys feel a rush of wind come

from behind you from the entrance

of the tomb a rush back towards this

coffin

and you guys see around you the darkness

that has been encapsulating this this

entire catacomb here

begins to recede and like water

reversing out of

out of uh this this tomb begins to go

back and uh seemingly recede back into

the casket

and you guys see all the torches around

you um

burst back into life as the light

extends back to its normal

distance and you guys feel the darkness

around you completely recede

sprite hey we did it i stand corrected

did we do it wow

i'll look over to the other one the

other casket the coffin that there was a

missing body did

what happened in that one did the

darkness go into that one and close

no the darkness seemed to be uh

completely consumed back into the main

coffin

um nothing has changed with the one

that's open okay

well we still have that coffin and i'll

look at the one that's open

with the missing body um but i think

this is a good first step

most certainly well when we go back to

the village i think we should tell them

that they should place guards here

because

this should not be disturbed again

definitely a good idea or destroy the

entrance or make it somehow so that

there's absolutely zero way for anyone

to ever

enter this tomb also a good idea

but what about this brazer now oh no

that comes with us

well could we put the gem in it do you

think alec because the darkness is gone

what do you think

i'm we should vote are you are you not

afraid of what might happen

no because you guys every we're here so

if

if you put it on or i mean maybe i put

it on or somebody puts it on

and they go a little crazy all right

fine go for it

i'm not saying we have to put it on

right away i'm just saying maybe we

should put the gem in and see what

happens

well let's vote yeah that's yeah that's

a good idea that's what i've heard

a lot of adventuring parties do um when

they are they're at a part of

indifference they vote on it and then

whoever essentially what happens

i want to do it can we just take the

vote don't you think adventuring parties

have leaders and then the leader gets to

say what they do

um flynn isn't this not your first

adventure so this is you're you're used

to this right

yes i haven't gotten to the point in my

experience of adventuring quite yet just

put the bloody jam in the goblet

i vote

and farlane is knocked out so he has no

vote

he's also not really part of our

adventuring party um it's also three to

two no matter what kellex says

put it in put it in the water

try it would you like to do it would you

like to do it try it just take the glove

i mean look at it one more time i'm

gonna examine it one more time and just

see is there anything like besides the

fact that it's just

looks like a piece of precious earth

metal

jam is there anything else to do with it

or

make an arcana check all righty

while he's doing that um i don't know

now that the light is more present here

can i remembering where he put those

original

crystals in his feathers can i just look

at that

area of his body does it look any

different

uh yeah one second what was that try i

got a three

it's pretty it's real pretty i just like

to look at the tracks

longer um flynn

make a uh you can either make a medicine

or a nature check for me

okay innocent

now they're the same okay

natural 20 natural 20. nice um

looking through his feathers you can see

just a very slight

glow from underneath where the gems are

are still emanating their light

but um you conclude that nothing has

changed physically about tria

okay so they've always kind of glown

like that they've always had a subtle

glow to them

whereas this red gem does not it's not

glowing at all it's just a

pretty piece of earth um but yeah you

can see a just a very slight

glow from underneath his feathers oh

like i'm assuming i'm just standing next

to

kellic as i'm annoying the [ __ ] out of

him and i'll just i'll just like as he

stare as

try staring at the crystal i just like

notice the glowing and

i'll just like lean over man i don't

really i still don't think that's a good

idea

what i'll point towards the crystals

i'll i'll say that to kelly i'll like

whisper it under my breath

i i mean do you want to wrestle them

from him or like

i feel kind of i agree with you but

try as a stick in the mud yeah i mean to

each is on i guess

try are you done looking at it can we

put it in the bracer now

you can you can put it in the bracer you

have the power

okay how is my good friend farlane

is he still down for the count

no i'm just very concerned about my

friend pauline

is the same as he was i won't say fine

because

he's not doing fine let's be honest so

we gotta get this done so we can take

him back

to his village try it what if the bracer

well could help farley yeah if it has

healing powers

what oh my what plane is that

it totally does have healing powers it

could

well i i suppose if there's a chance

that

might help him i'll part with it

and really belaboredly

just and look away with my head i set

the

gem on the fraser okay um and as you

uh place the gem down onto the bracer um

as you're just about an inch away it

sort of snaps into place almost like

it's magnetized

onto it um and it seems to

hold there completely into the bracer

that's it

that's it what happened is there

anything someone has to put it on

try march you wanted to put it on right

yes but if it does potentially

as you put this bracer on you feel this

sense of

anticipation flowing throughout your

body

of what is this thing going to do to me

it could do any number of things

and as you feel this this cold

sensation of this long forgotten bracer

wrapping around your arm you look down

and it doesn't do anything

it is just a pretty gem i guess

i feel so powerful and i'm going to try

and break out of marsh's grasp

i'm just holding you while you're like

yeah i mean

you feel it around your arm and while

you don't

feel any effects necessarily you do

just from your your experience with your

sword which is

a magical item um you do know that this

is has definitely has some magical

properties um

but you know that you would probably

have to sit with this for quite a while

um in order to fully understand its

properties and use it yep

um i still want to try and pretend that

it gave me strength and i'm going to try

and break out of march's craft

can be restrained if it's march we'll

have a lot

harder of a time getting it off i don't

top of the stairs yes

can i sort of as if he's roped up well

shoulder him i would i would have

stopped tying myself up if we decided

but after a couple of heavy swings

um you're able to break in these support

pillars

and you can sort of see it's about to

collapse so you back everyone up

to everyone takes a couple steps back

and you take your final swing

and the support beams completely

collapse and

the dirt and rocks and stone masonry

from

the ceiling completely cave in these uh

the stairs

well i guess uh corvin's not gonna

get back to his resting place oh

and i'm gonna have almost a uh a light

bulb moment of

i forgot about that guy [ __ ] yeah

cross that bridge when we come to it

so you guys walk out the final hallway

passing

that uh that first pillar that you guys

had come across now

as you are leaving it is on your right

and you take that

staircase back up to the surface and

take a

breath of fresh air the fresh air fills

your lungs

and you uh you finally clear that

that damp sort of uh smell of

of air and of rot um out of your lungs

and you get up to the top and you are

immediately greeted

by sunlight shining on your faces

um you just catch the final rays of sun

as the sun is setting over the horizon

and uh you guys get sort of a nice nice

view out over the trees as the sun is

peeking through

and uh warming you guys are there still

goblins out here

looking around you don't see any goblins

any anywhere

are we essentially able to see basically

you're saying the sunset

you are able to see the sunset just over

the trees yes i'm gonna

just just kind of very like walk in

between

um flynn and alma and kind of put

one arm around one one arm around the

other and like

it's probably like a hand and a hand

because we're so small

oh i feel nice okay

hey as march has got her hand on me and

we're looking at the sunset

hey do you mind maybe holding far lane i

think sharaya may want to take a fly

now that he's back out of that cave it

might be a cool offer

i mean yeah i'm happy to i just he

seemed

he seemed pretty adamant but uh let me

and i'm gonna kind of do a shoulder tap

to flynn and then

walk over uh shaya you uh you sure you

want to

carry for like the whole way or do you

want to you know take a quick

fly around and see some stuff

know

he and i yelled at each other a bit but

i understand the need to and desire to

want to keep him alive and

almost immediately my pained look toward

farlane

uh sort of dissipates as i just heave

barley over to oma and

just say uh yes it's about time

and i uh corkscrew my feathers around

and in one whirling motion i just take

off and just fly

very high into the sky uh until i become

about ant size to the rest of the party

okay you shoot off vertically into the

sky

um the wind makes its way through each

one of your feathers

and you can feel that fresh air um you

look over

and you see the sunset over the horizon

you can see the river

that you guys had come down that led you

guys to the commune

and you look out and you can see the

trees

now no longer covered in shadow and you

can feel their life

uh coming back to them

shreya did you did you mean to hand hand

farlane

to oma or myself to yourself

okay okay i just wanted to clarify

because if if not then i was gonna just

uh immediately wiggle in between before

you can give them off to alma yeah and

hand them over to me and

kind of do a over the shoulder kind of

thing if he's flying through the air how

i'm talking to flynn how how are the

crystals staying

between his feathers you know i've been

wondering that too

i have no idea that's just that's some

sorcery i'll tell you what yeah

all right uh how is farleen doing dm is

he

breathing does he breathing still in the

same stable

condition all right but without he did

without

attention he's not going to be going

anywhere anytime soon do i know how long

it will take to get back to the camp

um it took you guys about a half an hour

maybe 40 minutes to get here last time

should head back

in that moment where caleb and i are

kind of

chatting and mark is holding off to the

side holding far lane you know maybe

setting him down

well well that's all going on and i'm

kind of my little alone moment with

calico i'll kind of just um

do you think i'll kind of whisper this

strength i

from my experience when i was in other

adventuring parties

and not from hearing about other

adventuring parties you know poking fun

at each other is a way of

you know bolstering camaraderie and i

was just trying to

do you think i'm doing an okay job

all right so you guys begin your uh

journey back to the commune um

as you guys make your way back you guys

notice uh the symbols

on the um on the trees the little

glowing

um bits on the end of the leaves that

were guiding your path when you

previously came this way

um aren't as prominent um they're still

glowing quite a bit but now that the

shadows have receded

it's just a little bit harder to

distinguish their glow from

the normal daylight but you guys are

able to follow them

all the way back to the commune where

you get there and it's a wide open space

it looks like people are

laughing with each other there's

conversation going on it looks like

people are preparing

uh uh dinner in some of the houses and

um you guys make it back to the commune

hey guys we solved it

please and immediately where's where

as as she says that i'm going to go uh

where's the nearest uh medic tent or

just anyone uh well as you guys uh

actually break into the the commune um

you guys are

swarmed by these elves here who

congratulate you

and and are patting you guys on the back

and march

uh when asking that um there are a

couple of elves that

uh come over and inspect for elaine and

sort of instruct you to

to bring him over to one of the huts um

and they i'll turn to one of the one of

the medics who comes up

to grab our light and say he was so

brave

you should be really proud of him oh i

i we are we all are and we're very proud

of you as well

and they take him and they they um move

him into the tent and begin to

um put uh like wet cloth on him and

begin to sort of administer their

medicine

um after a couple minutes you see the

um old elf who had come by and was was

helping healing

she goes over and she joins and she

moves her hands over him

and her fingertips begin to glow a

little bit and

you see the healing process starting to

begin

[Music]

as you guys are are sort of greeted and

almost being pulled in different

directions

to speak with uh some of the elves to

tell the story of what happened

um kellik you are approached

by a uh young elven man

um he walks up to you and just very

quietly taps you on the shoulder

and he says can i uh can i speak with

you

for a minute uh

of course how can i happen just just

over here

and he sort of ushers you to the edge of

the commune

where really no one is no one's with an

earshot just for context i've

delivered the goblin to someone of

authority

in the same in the same fashion the

goblins taken in with a little bit more

hesitance but after a second of getting

used to it they take him in and begin to

to begin the healing process as well

and you're taken aside by this young elf

um sort of shorter brown hair

um looks young even for for an elf

and as you turn around you turn to him

and having stepped away from the rest of

the commune now you turn to him and lock

eyes

and in his eyes you see not pupils but

the entire eye

is this deep orange

and auburn color and you can see specks

of ash

begin to just peel and float away from

just around the eyes

and you look down and you see the the

fingers are doing a very similar thing

as well where

uh flecks of ash are just peeling away

and floating very sligh

very slightly and and being taken away

in the breeze

and you see

over the commune and you see that

there's a group of elves

that are celebrating with the with with

your guys's return that are

uh excited to see that you're there and

then you see another

side of the commune you see a much

larger group

off to the other side that didn't come

over and greet you guys you see them

a couple elves are weeping at

what had happened and now that it's over

there they're

taking it all in and they're they're

weeping and some of them are attempting

to get to farlane

and sort of in this desperate panic

trying to get to him to

to help in some sort of way and you can

see now

everyone else seems to be preoccupied

with the celebration

that the elves are bringing but you can

see sort of

the other side of that the the fear and

the terror

that came with it and this young elf

turns to you

ashes being whisped away by his eyes

and he says as you look over this

do you see a truth in this do you see

the sorrow

and the despair here

do you see how the old gods

can make them so weak and so passive

this is the truth that i'm imparting to

you now

that when they're hungry ildoria feeds

them

when they're hurt ildurya heals them

and when they're sad ildurya consoles

them

but when the day came that the old gods

could not protect them

where were they left they were left

squabbling

with open arms waiting for the darkness

to take them

my promise to you is the same as my

promise to the world

that when this petty conflict is over

we the gods will step back

we'll give the power back to you and to

the people

so that you do not become passive and

weak like this

so that you can be truly free in your

own life

continue your good work for this is the

truth

that i impart to you now and you can see

the the last

wisps of of ash uh uh

remove themselves from this elves skin

and you can see once more the

the pupils begin to return wait i have

questions

a crypt of unknown origin

leaking shadows

that can turn the leader of a camp into

a madman that would kill his own people

we could help i don't know what it has

to do with eldoria or anything else but

he's being more or less embraced by the

community then i don't

i probably wouldn't want to interrupt

a couple of the other elves

find well find some food first and then

i could i could go for a

big plate of food

don't have much of an appetite but i'll

find food or is there food

happening or yeah um you can see that

um the the different houses and the

different huts here

um all seem to be grabbing what food

that they have and what supplies that

they haven't bring it all to the temple

in the center

and you can see um people are beginning

to light a couple of campfires and and

set up um

their cookware to have this big meal

anybody else uh hungry shreya is still

flying around right

so just look up look up look up to

shraya

would i have been able to identify the

where the

commune is from the air like is

okay yeah it's um it's the biggest open

area um in the forest so it's it's

pretty easy to spot the

you know the big circle where there's no

trees great so

i'm gonna touch down amid the

congratulatory jubilation

and greet my party members

and the other elves and then as i

continue to walk toward

the jubilation i'm gonna see if i can

hunt around

to check on farlane and see how his

healing process is going

okay um you do know where the um sort of

the medical

huts are um it's the healing huts

um are so you go over there and you

check into one and he's not there and

you check into the second one and he is

he's laying there and you see this um

this uh

very old elderly elf continuing to sort

of run her hands

um over him not quite touching him but

just sort of

moving the energy within

how is he doing do you think he'll pull

through

and she turns to you and um you actually

you uh you know this woman you've met

her a couple of times

um her name is ilmadia el maria please

please tell me something good

um well he's gonna be fine um

he is doesn't look it but uh

he is pulling through and i think within

the next

few hours he should be um back up on his

feet at the very least

but i uh kind of fall to my knees and

give like wrap my arms around her as

long as it's not like

interrupting her process and that kind

of thing that fills my heart with joy

ah yes i i i don't think uh if it had

been another few minutes i don't think i

would have been able to

um do this work on him he was he was

uh very close to the edge there but um

we

we were able to work on him a little bit

you have my undying gratitude

no that's unnecessary

everything's necessary if you can save

this

this this dear dear friend of mine

and i look and i look and i sort of gaze

over farlane and i

cradle uh his his face and my hand

uh and uh

just whisper you're going to be okay

you're going to be okay

and uh and as you do that

farlane

oh i hope so

just be calm no sudden movements

oh everything hurts you'll be taken care

of

you're in good hands that does not feel

good

here take this and i sort of reach in

from under my my feathers this is the

token from my homeland

and uh out from my bag i pull this

uh glowing not quite as big as the

crystal that i

that's in my staff but it's a it's a

glowing uh

purple pink uh crystal and

i close it in his hand uh it doesn't it

doesn't have

really many magical properties it's just

really nice to look at

keep this with you as you

commence through your healing journey

ah thank thanks as i rise

it means a lot uh you've meant a lot to

me

since i've been here you're the first

one of the first communities i've

i've known to be ultimately friendly

and that means the world to me

and uh i rise to my feet uh

and i say godspeed follain

and he closes his eyes once more um just

a very

slight smile on his face as uh he

continues to lay there and and

be healed

all that was happening um just because i

think flynn

wasn't part of any of that i think he

probably um

yeah would have been overjoyed

with just how how things have gone

super excited for what seems to be a

success

in his first mission and he probably

would have just spent some time

wandering the village and expanded

seeing the change

that he feels that he himself and the

party that he

hired accomplished

and he's not boasting he's not um

being cocky about it but he's just going

up talking to people

in the village explaining what happened

you know accepting their congratulations

and then thanking them for being so

strong and what not going around

um and really soaking it in and just

super

super happy that it went this way um

he also wants to look for it are there

any

not shops i don't really know if there's

a shop or anything but are there any

like areas where i can get like trinkets

does it seem like anyone whittles

anything

as i'm walking around can i kind of take

a look for any type of

craftsmanship places

yeah make an investigation check

see any shops necessarily this this just

seems to be like uh

you know a pretty open open place

uh no real i don't i don't want to say

trade because there is definitely trade

here but there's no like

buying and selling um would i be able to

ask anyone

you um yeah

so you after asking around you notice a

couple people

who have um some like pretty similarly

worked wooden necklaces and earrings and

like

wooden jewelry um and it's all got like

a nice glossy finish

um and stuff like that and after asking

a couple people um they all point you to

um aromar who is uh one of the elves

and um they they sort of point him out

and

uh you approach aramar and he says

oh um hi

wow um i i have to say thank you

so much for for doing um everything that

you did i

i don't think i've gotten the full story

yet of what happened but um already i

see the changes around me and i can

i can feel the changes thank you for

being

strong and sticking it out

you know this this place was in a dark

place um you made it through so

you know there's something to be said

about that as well

i'm forever thankful for this yes if i

may um i've been seeing people wearing

wooden jewelry and earrings and it looks

very

unique i'm wondering if

i could purchase or have something

crafted do you know where i could go do

you do that oh

yeah you flatter me um yes that's that's

my work

um i i do this for fun i

i trust me there is no payment necessary

um uh what would you like i can make you

anything

um just just two necklaces

that maybe have the insignia or any type

of

um yeah as you guys all uh congregate

back into the middle

of this commune um just the

different smells just variety of of

smells and sounds coming from people

cooking

um different foods it looks like

different groups have

have set up different cooking stations

that are all making different things

and you guys realize just how hungry you

are at this moment

and you guys all are able to get some

food

and sit down and sort of just enjoy the

company of of the people here as you eat

um is there anyone that you guys would

like to sit next to and talk with

specifically as you guys are

enjoying your meal do we all have um

the the etching or is that was it just

flynn who did the

on the crypt who took the took the

script from the crypt

yes yeah it was just because all the

other ones seemed similar right it was

just the one that

had extra yeah yeah yeah i would like to

facilitate somehow flynn taking that to

the elder woman

i would probably hand it to you if you

asked for it i'd be like oh yeah here

if you want to go figure it out

you seem like you could use another

mission and that would be

that would be the per person uh in that

conversation as i get that from flynn i

i'm i'm happy

i'm glad things worked out i know you

know it's not always

perfect and but you know we do the best

with what we can

and i think we did pretty good what

about you

yeah you uh you did your first uh

or maybe uh i don't know you probably

have done loads

loads of missions right but but each

mission probably feels like the fourth

i think that's why i stepped uh messed

up the first time i it was not my

first it's just they all seem so unique

and different of course of course

yes uh your storied adventure flynn i

think i

i think i heard of you you know fried

cold crest i think um

interesting i'm not supposed to be heard

of actually i do a pretty bad job with

that oh really

well uh that's awkward

anyway you're always checking up with us

after fights and so just wanted to check

up with you

glad you're feeling good and then i'll

just awkwardly just like exit yeah

i like saying i look like i'm smiling

and about to say like thank you and like

return the favor as he gets up and

leaves i'm like

i'm not a smile i'm gonna go back to my

food

and i'll take it to the elder

okay um so you uh

you approach ilmadia and um

she uh she looks up to you and says ah

um i don't think i've had the chance to

thank you personally yet um this is a

great service you've done

i'm sure you've been told that all

afternoon now

uh i've i've gotten got it as much

uh i uh but thank you it is uh

not only my duty but my pleasure to help

so

no thank you necessary well it's given

nonetheless

um i'm sure you're used to conversations

like this

and communities uh in need of people

like us

caregivers yes um

anyway uh i wanted to ask

we may have to pursue this farther but

the source of these shadows was this

tomb

this graveyard to the north uh these

these goblins pillaged it for reasons i

don't know it

it's probably worth uh asking the goblin

that i take i took to your custody

um but we uh we caved it in

so that it might not be accessed again

uh your people should know

anything going on with the red wolf

probably not a good idea

to engage with leave that uh that

sleeping wolves

lie as it were i will definitely keep

that in mind you said um

to the north i i've not heard of such a

place

it's it looks very old

hmm we'll have to go and see

[Music]

um yeah uh just be very careful

don't don't open anything

um but definitely keep it on your uh

on your map as it were i wanted to ask

how we found

some script some some uh language we

couldn't decipher

and i wanted to see if maybe you would

know you seem to be the

one of the elder elves in this in this

place

and i'll take it i i am uh usually

pretty good with language um

i can definitely take a look if you

would like me to uh yeah i mean

uh i've had to study quite a bit but i'm

unfamiliar with this tongue

and i'll show her the uh script from the

badging okay um

she looks over it

and you see a look of recognition in her

eyes

um and uh make an insight check for me

kellog man he's nuts

so 24 24. um

so you see an immediate note of

recognition

in her eyes um and then immediately

that recognition is replaced by

a hint of fear um as

she studies it and that fear

sort of begins to grow a little bit as

she as she looks at it more and more

and she says i

recognize the language i don't know what

it says i i'm unable to read it

but i do know that this is the language

of the abyss

i have never troubled myself to learn it

um but i i do recognize

its forms dammit

[Music]

huh

uh that's something to go on anyway

so there might have been some

demon presence in this land some

connection to the abyss

i am sorry i'm unable to read it for you

here um

you might have to look for uh someone

who's better versed in

in old and dark languages

i thought we will uh i thank you for

your help

uh please uh

take part in this celebration i'm sure

it's uh

well overdue i was just finishing here

and

i was actually gonna go uh get myself

some food right now

good i'll walk with you

and she sort of gets up to her feet um

and walks over with you

and you guys are able to get some food

um

and with that uh you can look around and

you can see that for the most part

um bellies are now full you can see

people are beginning to get a little bit

tired and

and people are sort of uh beginning to

stagger off and and go back to their

homes

and can i do one thing get somebody for

the more they do yeah yeah yeah

go for it great yeah um so as the

meal was kind of winding down and shraya

uh over

had to be had a little had to be a

little bit distance just because of the

way that he eats

stuff takes a little takes up a little

bit more space

for him to do so uh and and as he's

finishing his meal

uh he approaches uh central point

uh perhaps near the table or maybe a

place of higher ground

and uh he sort of kind of clears his

throat

and says um holds his staff and says

we have been through some dark times as

a commune

especially recently the forces of

darkness

sought to overwhelm us and yet

in our time of great need we were able

to pull together and

and i motioned to my fellow uh

party members we were able to banish the

darkness

at least for now back from whence it

came

so in this moment let us all remember

what we've done the resilience of this

community

and the glory of nature herself

and with that uh i start to

i i kind of stroke the top of the

crystal of my staff

and uh you see this purple pink

energy sort of start to uh infuse the

air

and spread uh out amongst the air and

then

you see it pop and then from

the forest floor uh you see

just a sea of fireflies uh emerge

that are flickering in purple and pink

and that will have been a druid craft

[Music]

and from the crowd

and some claps and you can see some of

the children going up and trying to

to grab some of the fireflies and uh you

look around and you see the wonder in

people's eyes as you do this

[Music]

as the meal dies down and

people are going back to their homes to

get some rest

um and shraya you are

completing your meal and and you're sort

of seeing that everything is dying down

um farlane sort of hobbles over to you

um this is the first time that you've

seen him standing since you got back

and he comes over and he sort of puts

his arm up onto your shoulder and sort

of puts some of his weight on you to try

and

stabilize himself

[Music]

and he says i uh

i've seen you do things today that i've

never seen you do before

[Music]

that was incredible what you did

[Music]

i have done things today that i did not

know

myself capable of doing

and i hope that

in my own way i've brought a

little bit more light and resilience to

this

most humble of communities

you have brought the light back to us

you have brought the light back into our

souls

and that is a gift that we cannot repay

but i feel that i

might be able to repay a piece of it by

giving you this advice

as a friend as someone who has your

best interests in heart

i saw what you did today

and i saw that you found

a new people that you never

really found your home here

this was just a halfway point

and i feel that your best course of

action is

no longer to stay here

am i wrong in the things that i say

before today before we ventured

north into that god forsaken place

underground

i would have i would have disagreed with

you

but something has changed within me

something is calling me to leave this

place too

i will be sad to leave and yet

i will always have a strong place in my

heart for late where you and your people

shall always remain

and he grabs you by the feathers and

brings you in for a huge hug

and he sort of rests his hand his head

on your shoulder oh

farley i will miss you very much

and i you my friend

so i would say to you take the night

and rest or i

feel you have an adventure awaiting you

in the morning

and then i'll i'll just say

before i take my rest

i will adorn this place

i will adorn this place

with memories living memories

so that when you take that crystal out

that i gave you

rub the crystal

you can see the memories that i will

etch

into the trees

let it be a reminder of me

and he sort of does one of those like

subtle

like very soft pats on your cheek

and uh he hobbles away

i take one more moment and look at him

longingly

and then i walk out and uh

i'm before before i rest i'm gonna just

druid craft some uh

images and symbolism uh and adorn

uh some elements of the temples and the

temple

and then a few trees around

okay and over the next hour

people begin to move back and and

everyone at this point has sort of

dissipated back into their house

is there anything that you guys would

like to do before you i have one thing

uh at some point could i find shraya

just alone just like maybe when he's

doing druid craft or

when he's walking around the town yeah

um so like right before i go to bed or

at some point late at night before we

all wind down i'll kind of find him

hey uh shraya what are you doing over

there

is that thin fellow weave hey bud what

are you making

i i thought i would give

this beautiful population of elves

something to remember me by

and i handed farlain a way to activate

these things just

for no other reason that they're

pleasant to look at and

maybe they maybe they can find their

strength

in these symbols remember you buy you're

not staying

no no i feel it is my call to

remain with you and the rest of our

group that has now come together well

i gotta say that's it's actually kind of

it's kind of perfect because i was i was

actually coming to meet you to see

if you would come with us to addersfield

so i guess that kind of works out

because

you know it's not customary to bring the

person that you did the mission with

back

but i think it would go a long way so i

guess i mean i guess i really don't need

to ask you anymore because you're coming

with us but

um cool um

cool man

i have grown quite fond of both you and

the rest of this the rest of this

unique crew and well

i hope to find myself in your company

for

many days and nights to come although i

will say uh

i may not have the best of luck

once we do make our way to addersfeld

i'm

i haven't had the best of luck in more

densely populated areas

perhaps perhaps the rest of the crew can

help be my bridge and help me avoid more

ridicule

i think they're just as fond as you as

you are of them

i should leave i'm pr i'm pretty sure

please stick together we'll be all right

we're pretty great

we have many ways we work together well

in ways i haven't ever

known before and such a diverse

array of of different creatures coming

together

it makes me happy and warms my heart

same i do think

maybe we can practice you picking me up

and flying around i'm gonna get pretty

good at it

well i look up i look up toward the sky

uh it does seem to be a rather nice moon

tonight

would you like a better view before we

take our leave and our rest

always i hold my hands out

but they're like spread out so he could

pick me up easier

let's go onward

because we fly up in the sky

are the rest of us seeing that uh yeah

you

you just barely catch a glimpse of

shooting shrapnel and flynn

up over the the tree line and um

as soon as you break the tree line it is

a completely clear night

um the moon is bright and shining down

on you and you see the stars

up above and as you go higher and higher

flynn the

the circle of of the commune becomes

smaller and smaller and

you see the world from a whole new

perspective um

this time you can see the uh the river

that is now flowing back over to cold

crest

um and you can see the just the

the edge of the forest and you can see

just how big this world is

um and you see the possibility

of what you might be able to do soak it

in

enjoy the ride all right

so after a couple minutes of uh flight

in the nice cool

uh night air you guys finally land

um and is everyone gonna get ready for

bed

yeah just before i settle down

to sleep i'd like to go stand

in the area of the temple where um

our last big event happened where i was

kneeling with the person who um

i killed and i would just like to stand

there

and and look at the spot where i was

kneeling with his head on my lap

and just silently

stare and remember and and think about

what happened here

kellogg will um sit and if there's like

a central fire

to this celebration um

he'll just sit and watch that fire until

it dissipates to just

embers and

yeah at this point the the main bonfire

in the center has not been tended to

for a little bit so it is now

the flame is just about died down to

embers

i would like to um not interrupt

alma knowing that she's taking time for

herself but

move myself so that i'm just

behind her um

about 10 10 feet away or so just uh

observing her as i kind of finish off

some food and stuff

okay and

with that um one of the uh

the actually the um the elderly elf

ilmadia comes out and sort of um corrals

all of you and and invites you over to

one of the huts

off to the side and um you guys approach

and

inside you see uh five uh beds

laying there they're pretty standard you

know

it's leaves all in a pile as best as

they can do

um but you see five spots for you guys

to rest and um as you guys

bed down for the night um does anyone

want to do any watches

for the night no so you guys all

are able to doze off and get a full

night's rest okay waking up in the

morning you guys are greeted by

um beams of sunlight coming through the

trees and hitting your face

um warming you and waking you to the

fresh morning

air um you can hear just the the

beginnings of the bustling of the

the elven commune around you guys um as

people are sort of

um cleaning up what uh

from the the meal of last night that

hadn't already been cleaned and you just

start to see

people getting their day started so as

this new day dawns

what would you guys like to do um

i think flynn trying to keep the party

together will

approach alma in march and uh

hey morning morning guys

um morning you're uh you're just always

always happy and positive and honest

aren't you there flynn

why would i want to be negative

[Music]

i mean it's early in the morning it's

okay if you're

you know sleepy i didn't say negative

i've been

simply been sleeping you're just very

i'm just really excited today

just because you know we did something

big we

helped people

[Music]

anyway i wanted to see what your guys's

next plans were because now that we've

finished this and

oh um i guess i did kind of hire you

guys

and i'll go to my bag and i'll pull up

my pouch

no dig through it pull out

i'm going to instinctually just put my

hand down

over it and push you back push it back

to

stop stop this no no

you don't marge we still have to buy

things

i like it's not from him it's from this

community

and then i'll go back into my bag and

i'll pull out

instead of 10 i'll pull out 20 and i'll

go to alma

thank you that's her cherish if she

wants it

that's cheating okay that's the least i

can do i'll allow it

thank you to your collective

um well i i think the one thing that i

i mean if you guys want to stick

together we have those crystals that we

found in your arm which i'm still

surprised we haven't talked about yet

i think my plan is i'm gonna take tria

and he's gonna

come back and kind of verify that

everything was a-okay and i i solved the

problem here

um if you guys wanna come with us we can

figure out maybe what those crystals do

more than welcome to join us on on our

trek there

i uh i'm of the mind that we should

be always moving

um i suppose moving from here makes the

most sense and

now that you know we know that

we can trust you guys uh i'm happy to

continue moving along with you

alma do you have any thoughts on the

matter

well i told kellic i would help him

hey i'm going to talk to him next and

see if he wants to come with us too

maybe if you come with me you'll be able

to help convince him to stay with us

now that everything's done

um yeah i think i think he really wants

to figure out

where this wolf came from i know and and

the language and all that so

so i'm gonna help him so if that's what

you're going to do

to then then hopefully in addersville

they may be able to read it

so maybe we can see if that's what he

wants to do let's bring that script to

addersfeld

yeah i just yeah

are you gonna tell your collective about

it though cause like

i don't know your collective and i don't

know if i trust them

and uh dm would i know

if i need to give details do i know if

it's basically just like yeah i did it

check problem solved or would i know

that i need to like debrief them

um you know that it's it's sort of a

light debrief

um traditionally you have to bring back

proof

of completion um whether that

be um witness testimony or

um physical proof of like a dead monster

something like that

um so yeah there is a little bit of

debrief

yeah i don't think i need to tell them

anything other than it was successful

amalia brought us like showed us the

beds i would have gone back out to the

fire and and you'll find oh you didn't

sleep

waking up yeah i stayed out by the by

the fire

and i'm just i've probably woken up by

now

but just sitting uh

like on whatever kind of stone or log is

there to

sitting next to the but long burnt out

i'll um

walk over if almo follows i'll just walk

over and sit next to kellic

how are you doing oh i'm fine i'm good

feeling uh

feeling accomplished you know you should

we saved the town we saved the forest

the sun is out

and i'm just sort of looking around uh

above the tree line

seeing the the sort of um

diluted light among the clouds but even

you know the the shadows before we're

keeping that light from even

getting close to us yeah it's pretty

great

yeah i uh

you know that sunlight hurts my eyes

it does yeah

your eyes are right now

they do i'll um do they hurt

your body

what do you mean no no i i mean i i can

get burnt sure

but uh no i just

it i never used to

notice it before

if it hurts your eyes why why are you

looking at the sun

i can't remember

it's okay so uh

going to address felt then we are but uh

i think this one wants you to come with

us

and i'll nudge to turn and look at alma

oh well technically i said i was going

where you were going

technically and and flynn wants us to go

to addersfeld so i told him

that it depends if if if that aligns

with

with what i told you last night that i

would help you with because that's more

important

and i look over at the the burned the

ashes of the fireplace the

just black soot

yeah well it would seem

and i'm sure shraya would concur that

fate has aligned our paths somehow

but i

can't figure out why

well first things first i'll pull out my

bag

hold my little i can go below 10 gold

fearless leader for sure he like

does the thing with his he pulls his

vest down a little bit straightens up

you're right i'm a fearless leader

uh yeah someone will be certainly done

ah i'm pretty helpful in a sticky

situation

sometimes i just don't know what's gonna

happen

yes i'm i mean to talk to you about that

at some point

but uh maybe when there's time maybe on

the road

on the road yeah how far has adders fell

from here i think

not too far flynn didn't you come from

addersfeld to

here oh yeah dm is it a day a few days

yeah so um if you guys

there's basically two ways that you

could do this

um you could take that river

um that you guys had come up to uh

here too you could take that river and

it would be about

um it'd be about half a day's travel

or you could go up north and have to go

around

the river and continue through the

forest and that's going to come out

where we are now we can just sail with

our boat

down and then over first of the world

would probably take about a day

that would that would uh it would take

yeah just over half a day um

the taking the river would cut a serious

uh

chunk off of your time oh we bought a

boat i mean i don't see why we shouldn't

use it figure we could use that

um we may have to walk the rest of the

way but maybe we could dock it somewhere

and

well maybe we could dock it with james

he's a fisherman tracks that he would

have some access to a dock

being pursued is that something we

should be concerned about

in huddersfield um

i wasn't in outer spell before i've

never been to adersfeld so i don't think

so

but i mean i guess anybody could be

pursuing anybody right

it's you know just that you know you and

march you showed up at cold crest with

some

fabulous gems in your let's call it in

your possession

and i wonder if there aren't other

parties interested in this job

i'm not not being pursued

fair enough works for me

uh and i suppose it's worth reporting

that

i i lived in addersfield for some time

so

uh i know some folks there and

i'd may not have always been the uh

sony disposition that you know me to be

no uh with those people

so i'll be keeping that i can't even

imagine you not you're like always

smiling

oh i know this is my natural habitat

and i i gesture to the sun boiling my

tail my gray skin we'd love to have you

with us

i appreciate that and i'll keep keep to

be safe

what if it's covered in spider webs it

wouldn't be the first time

and they walk away

to go get my necklaces whenever we only

do that

all right so um yeah you walk over to

the uh the hut where aramar had

um gone into and you go in and you see

um hunched over uh the table

with um woodworking instruments just

everywhere

um you walk in and um upon hearing you

um he pops up having been awake for most

of the night

and he turns to you and oh um hello

um oh oh good morning i did it i

i did i did uh good morning um

i did uh i did it for you i two

necklaces

um and he reaches over and he kind of

pushes some stuff off of the desk

he sort of pushes some stuff under the

ground no it is great

i think these turned out fantastic um

and then he reaches for him and he grabs

these two

necklaces and you can see um these two

beautifully decorated wooden necklaces

um there's

a long string that comes down to about

mid-chest and there are these um almost

like wooden

tiles that come out every inch or so

um down and around the necklace slowly

getting bigger and bigger as they

approach the center and in the center

there is

this big um carved

wooden rectangle and in the middle is a

circle with

a beautiful little intricate leaf

symbol that is almost making like um

uh it's it's almost like a half circle

and then on the bottom

there seems to be like um a little like

half of a sun

so that the top half is this wisping

leaf and

it's covering up um this uh

sun and he hands both of them to you and

they they both look

identical as he hands them to you he's

wow man you do some good work

thank you i uh i knew you probably

weren't sticking around for too long so

i i

stayed up pretty much the whole night to

get them done man

i'm sorry about that and i'll go to my

bag and i'm

no no no no no no please please no and

if if i'm being honest gold doesn't

really do much around here anyways

um can't really get you that much um but

i i really

i appreciate uh the offer was there

anything

i can do for you you already did it

trust me well

how about i owe you one you ever see me

again

that sounds sounds good to me thank you

in there and uh it's got you know that

little elven flourish

that it's that most uh while his other

languages have well he's whittling

can i try to sneak

a few gold pieces on his desk where he's

not gonna see them immediately but maybe

we'll see them

later on in the day sure make a slight

of hand check uh with advantage

i'll do it with like he is not very

personal at the moment just something i

think i can sneak yeah

you said advantage yeah because he

is he's like only had an hour super bad

that's why i want to make sure he gets

something for this

um that's actually pretty good it's just

loaded

uh slight of hand you said uh 19

total yeah you're able to

you're actually able to go over and like

you pretend like you're watching what

he's doing but you actually

put a couple gold down on the table and

you cover it with a piece of paper

well here you go i

there you go i hope that's good enough

it is these are i did it really quick

well yeah i'm going to anderson right

now

um if you ever need anything you know

look me up

so as you head back to the group you

um you look out to the south um

of the commune towards the tree line and

you guys see the

path that had led you here and looking

out onto the path

about to head to addersfeld that is
