previously you guys had left an

abandoned bakery in the slums of

addersfeld

you guys had captured a foe

that you guys had determined to be kerr

the beast who had a bit of a history

with

alma and march um you guys kept him

captive within the basement of this

bakery

and after staving off the likes of a

tiefling

you guys had uh moved up to the street

level

and began your way back to the iron

light castle

on your way back you guys had disguised

uh kerr

as sort of a drunken mishap

as march threw him over her shoulder and

you guys took him to the iron light

castle

you guys approached the castle and flynn

let you guys in

and you guys met with melloroo cardinal

once again

this time the entire crew being there

not just

flynn and try you guys walked into the

room

and when melloroo put up some sort of

wall of force around the room

she approached olma and march and

after a bit of spell casting she

determined that you two were in fact

not possessed by demons as the reports

had shown

but you guys were just normal human and

goliath

after a bit of conversation about this

mishap and and about this

misunderstanding

you guys had began to inquire about

these crystals that you had

to melloroo you guys had determined that

they are

sort of prison crystals that souls are

being held within them

and that when they shatter there's a

chance that the soul is released into a

nearby body

and there's also a chance that the soul

is destroyed

melloroo called for chat the giant

dragonborn

uh flynn's teacher and he came in the

room and with a swift

punch across the face he took her the

beast out of the room

and you guys don't know where he's going

with him but

they just left the room hitting kerr's

head on the doorframe as they left

chath having left the room you guys

stand there as a party

with melloroo shreya is actually staying

outside of the room

um shreya you see this dragonborn walk

into the room

and walk out with kerr

so with that melloroo stands there

standing tall perfect posture

as always hands clasped behind her back

and she says well um now that that's

taken care of

um is there anything else that i can do

for you all um

what are you doing with him where are

you taking him

uh he will probably just go down to the

the dungeons down below

um for interrogation oh okay yeah that

makes sense

is there a bounty on him not him in

particular but there is

more of uh uh overarching bounty for

anyone who comes from hollow guard

terrible people those hollow guard

people

yeah absolutely awful hi we'd never

dream of consorting with

uh the like never not one bit

so is there anything else i can do for

you well what what

outstanding this outstanding bounty how

do i collect on that

um if you would like to collect on that

um

how much do you think he's worth well

he's really big

so um

let's see if he's worth his weight in

gold that's a lot of gold but i would

settle for like

50 gold pieces because it was

very very difficult to collect him and

if

we didn't have much to hold him how

would we have carried him all the way

over here

so 50 gold pieces seem sufficient

um as he's not a major player um

but i think i can i think i can make

that work

and she walks over to her desk and um

with a quick

uh flick of her fingers and a little

arcane spell popping out one of the

bottom drawers opens up and she goes in

and

she collects and she counts out 50 gold

pieces puts them in a pouch hands them

over to you guys

i take it and i turn to march and i

whisper

i should have asked for more i'm gonna

give a very very

like uh like very very proud level of

yeah that's that yeah that's that's all

my yeah

well done well done

um so what do i

uh do for the next part of my training

you do exactly what you have been doing

for your training you go out and

you uh you do your job

you want us to uh or you've you've asked

flynn here to

pursue these crystals

uh they thank you could point us in a

direction to where to start

i couldn't definitively point you to a

direct

location um i do know that the

trapping of souls within crystals is a

typical practice

of uh the army of kaldur um i know

not of ondale or gamble dear using this

type of

ritualistic magic for uh the past

several hundred years as

now new new ways of of capturing

prisoners has been developed

um i know kaldur is probably the only

one that you would be able to find that

still

practices this ritual right

i kind of like give flynn a look of like

well we're in the [ __ ] now uh

then if you uh

want to seek out answers on this and

looks like we're going to have to cross

the across the border

yeah well it seems like this is the next

step for me

so if you want to come you're more than

welcome to

last time i went over there i used a

teleportation circle

miss mallaroo do you have access to

anything like that

i have access to several teleportation

circles it just depends on where you

want to go

well we had talked about maybe maybe um

oh going going to where we found them in

the first place and and starting from

there

right okay where was it where was it

that you found them um we found them in

blackpool

unfortunately i don't have uh

teleportation circled directly to there

um i only have teleportation circles at

the moment

directed towards major cities and

establishments as blackpool is not

one of those i'm afraid you might have

to do some traveling on your own

the teleportation circles to caldor have

also

greatly decreased uh since the start of

the war so

uh you're gonna have to pick and choose

very carefully if you want to

make your way over to aldor right

do you have like a map of all

the teleportation circles and and and so

that we can figure out the best route

um yes i do if you would like to to see

that and she walks over to

um her uh cabinet over in the corner and

she sifts through some papers

and she pulls out a map and like a

little scroll

and she rolls it out onto her desk and

you see

um there are sort of these um

these lines connecting from addersfeld

out and to other cities and from other

cities connecting out to other cities

and sort of creating this web on this

map and you can see each of the lines

is almost like fluid in motion like it

wasn't just

created with regular ink but it's it's

almost flowing on the page itself

i'm gonna march my way over there lean

over and look at it and then immediately

stand back up and turn to um flynn

um um you're in charge right flynn so so

maybe you should maybe you should

look at them look at the map uh yeah

definitely and i'll walk over and take a

look as well

um yeah i'll look for where blackpool is

and see if there's anything close

okay um so you look over to blackpool

and you can see blackpool

is sort of within this cluster of

rivers you know that it is mostly

marshland

and there's not really a huge

establishment there

you also you look around on this map and

you can see

these lines of this web extending to

quite a few places within ondale

you can see them stretching all over the

continent or sorry all over the country

and you see the same sort of thing going

to gamble deer

and there are a couple of quite a few

lines going to different cities there

you see the lines going all the way

to the east over to freywood and you see

very few lines maybe one or two going

over there

and you look at kaldur and it's slim

pickings

over in caldor as most of the

teleportation circles have been

locked off from the war um

you do see one however the closest is

going to be

a teleportation circle that will take

you to andoria

this is a a decent sized city

just south of the raging woods

um and looking at the map looking at

aldoria and uh blackpool the distance

between those

is that shorter than the distance

between where we are now and getting to

blackpool

looking at it it's pretty similar

i would say addersfeld is a little bit

closer to

blackpool yeah looking at the map

addersfeld is a little bit closer to

blackpool than andoria

is um oh my it looks like maybe

we might be better off just walking from

here a lot of these teleportation

circles will take us farther away

to blackpool than we are now

oh weird because there is a

teleportation circle there i just don't

know why we don't have access to it

oh well like why don't we have access to

the teleportation circle in blackpool

when places are at war access like that

gets restricted yeah i guess that makes

precisely

kelly looks at melloroo like am i

really the only adult here

just a wide-eyed plant

but why is there a war

i don't think that's for me to answer

you don't know why there's a war well i

do know why

um uh the old gods were overthrown by

the new gods and

sides were taken

these gods seem like more work than

they're worth

i would tend to agree with you hold up

we wouldn't be here

if not for the aid of

the gods so i don't think the guys have

ever helped me

they literally literally just did just

just today how

i asked them for directions and they

sent us here

oh well you wouldn't have your 50 gold

if it weren't for the gods

i collected her all by myself i don't

need the gods to collect

her for me right but he wouldn't be

worth anything if there was no one to to

pay for

mel roo paid for him not the gods

but the gods are the connective tissue

don't you see between

you and me and flynn and march there's

nothing between us except the cuts

otherwise is this a conversation that

needs to happen in my office or

would this be time to learn from this as

well i think this is

this is important stuff but

fine i take your point we've we've

trespassed on your

time uh long enough uh flynn do you have

anything else you need to

ask for me take her leave um

no no i i don't think i need anything

and she just gives you a nod then i'll

looking around the room again and

uh look back at melloroo give kind of

just a quick nod

and uh walk out the door

okay and by the time you guys walk out

the door she has already sat back down

at her desk

um and has opened a book

so you guys step out of uh melloroo's

office

and see shraya standing there out in the

hallway what happened

what's going on where are we gonna go to

jail

every one of us you too you better fly

away now before they send you to jail

oh my goodness i just like start to run

down the

hallway try to wait no she's kidding

what only you shouldn't play with

people's emotions like that try as a

delicate creature

she's a jokester she's a jokester sorry

do you mean to say we're eight years of

age we're not in jeopardy

no we we took i took care of it and

we we turned everything in and

everything's just fine now um

we do have a lead on these crystals

though and if you want to come with us

we were thinking about going to check it

out pretty soon

uh um quick question did we give

mellower the crystal or do we still have

it

i've got it you guys still have it i

refused to i told her that

uh she could take a look at them but i

refused to give them over to her

cool but yeah uh we're thinking about

maybe checking out this warehouse or

something

there's a boar's head and a cage i'm not

really sure but

we're probably gonna go check it badgers

badgers thank you yeah freya i'm i'm in

it

just for well i think whatever we come

up against there

uh i've never seen anything like that

uh even uh sorry

i should uh take a few steps back here

uh we learned

so you are carrying a prison in your

feathers

well not anymore i've become much

disillusioned with those

pieces of earth do you think all

crystals have prisons in them like do

you think your crystalline start looking

at his pink crystal

on his um staff you think your crystal

has people in it there are all sorts of

powers crystals can possess

this one in particular came to me

in a moment where i felt very lost

and now it's unfixed to the end of my

staff

um shraya could you come down here for a

second

yes absolutely what is it small no

um where were you keeping the crystals

again i just wanna maybe check and make

sure that there's nothing lingering

and i just unfurl my feather and in

between

uh some of the ribs of the

of the wing rather uh you could kind of

see this little

spot that was like that looks a little

bit worn by the place where

i had shoved the box i'll take a i'll

take a look

and just see does it look purple or

disorienting or something yeah um

depending on what you want to do you can

either make a medicine check or an

arcana check

interesting okay one on one

on it is a bit better so i'll do that

and it doesn't matter when you roll a

three so

seven songs seven um you don't notice

any sort of discoloration

any swelling any differentiation in the

feathers

you don't notice it well well it looks

good to me uh

so and i kind of like as i like

pat his feathers and like pad them back

down i'm talking to the group and

um so what we do we want to go now i

have some things that i might want to do

in in the town

uh also do we need gold because i may

have a way for us to get a bit

more if we have extra time to do like

something on the side

oh let's just take a beat here

we've determined that these crystals

don't contain demons but

but maybe people or i don't know

criminals at least that's the somebody

who would have had to be imprisoned to

be the most general

that i can be uh and for some reason

alma and march were tasked with stealing

these crystals

uh presumably with the intent of

releasing these

these people from their cells

and what they who's carrying people

around in my feathers

yeah like a lot of them

no i knew i should never have trusted

putting them there ugh

practice more self-restraint when it

comes to these

gleaming bits of earth wait speaking of

crystals and gems

didn't you put that bracer on yes this

one right here

pull up and jam it kind of glistens

how are you feeling are you okay yes i

i've learned a great deal from these

particular gems

do you know if they have people in them

not exactly but i haven't how can you

believe sure nowadays

like maybe we should just assume every

crystal has people in it

what if they do yeah maybe that's oh man

i haven't had the opportunity to try

them to their

fullest utility just yet

i'm looking forward to the opportunity

too

are we walking and talking uh i guess we

should begin walking but i don't know

where i'm trying to suss that out with

you because

i mean when you think about it

it'd be useful to know the reason why

all this stuff is happening

why release these people and and who are

they

why are they capable of such incredible

feats

you know we threw our best stuff at that

at

what used to be uh your hollow guard

uh tiefling and he shrugged it off like

it was nothing

because of the crystal um yeah

well so we could go to where we found

the crystal like we talked about

or we could um

i mean we could try to figure out who

hired

the hollow guard in the first place but

i feel like either way we should go to

the warehouse first like who owned the

warehouse

who was the person who captured those

people in the first place right

and then maybe we also have to do some

some

some investigating to figure out who

hired

the hollow guard uh right sure

i i this is all new to me and does this

have anything to do

with the giant werewolf right

it could be secondary at which point and

there's a giant

man who is out of his ca his little

crypt

and we don't know where he is either

hi corbin oh no

all right hold on this is i don't know

why are there so many things

you can only eat a troll one bite at a

time oma so let's

start with the first bite here right we

don't know anything

about carbon amberstone and the red wolf

besides

besides that nobody knows anything right

so it's it's just

uh important to keep in mind that

that there are things in this world that

just haven't been

uh studied or explored even by

i think we need a break

to think this over also

i'm sure we're all pretty hungry

how does everyone feel about lemon

pastries

i want breakfast they have that too

full breakfast yeah

all right let's get some food caleb i

can't think about what to do because i'm

so hungry

and it just feels like you started

talking about eating a troll

and and that just made me start thinking

about food

and and i don't i don't know how you're

supposed to eat a troll it's too big

it's just an expression you probably

wouldn't want to eat it

probably besides their sentient and

arguably

some form of cannibalism but it you know

it's an archaic thing i

i didn't really think about it breakfast

sounds fine flynn uh later on

let's go and then also maybe we visit

our old friend james afterwards and see

how he's holding up

oh he looked really bad when we saw him

last i think we should check in on him

um but food first i would much like to

eat one of his fish

or four

for breakfast or i could scour the town

and find

some fresh offerings off of a vine

i might do that too

eat whatever you want right just not a

troll

because kellex says are sentient you're

not supposed to eat sentient things

what senchant don't worry about it tama

but how do i know if something's

sentient so i don't eat it if i don't

know what it means

i think it's a made-up word oh okay

let's go let's go get pantries

and i'll head out um so you guys uh

begin walking out of the iron light

castle um

you guys all follow pretty closely to

flynn as these hallways

um are sort of amazed as you exit this

building

um and uh as you guys

are walking out the gate to the iron

light castle opens

up um and you guys see now the the

bustling street that you guys had saw

when you came into the castle

um continuing to flourish um you see now

these food stalls and clothing shops

and different stores on both sides of

the street are now fully open

commerce has commenced for the day and

you guys head off

towards the pastry shop um as soon as

you guys get outside of the the pastry

shop

the door is wide open and you guys look

right in

and as soon as she sees flynn um

the uh lady behind the counter the the

old uh

shop owner um of the bakery waves right

at flynn and sort of

kind of ushers him uh inviting him in

hey

guess who's hungry oh i would assume

that would be you

me and my friends oh you brought friends

fantastic yes hi how are you all

hungry oh well then you came to the

right place

uh what what would i be able to get for

you all flynn would you like uh your

usual for

everyone yes and also breakfast

uh yes yeah i i can i can get you guys

uh any any sort of breakfast that you

need

um what would you all like what do you

have

um we've got uh well mostly baked goods

um those are sort of uh my specialty but

um i can make

uh anything any sort of breakfast food

that you would like um

vegetables i've got some meats in the

back um

i can make you guys some nice sandwiches

um any anything of that sort

do you have any bread crusts just the

crusts

of the breads i could cut some bread

crusts for you

yes uh that would be ideal no need i'll

eat the uh portion that uh without the

crust i don't like crust so

that that works out nicely sentient

no

i told you it's a made-up word i told

you alma for mayor teaches us that all

life is valuable

right and so if you're going to take

something's life away

you should consider the repercussions

and

always always lead uh with respect

does that make sense

i think so if you're starving and you

need to eat

then you might have to eat something

that doesn't deserve to be killed to

stay alive but

if you can avoid it then you can show

respect to life in that way

see flynn so that's when you eat the

troll oh

okay got it

i'm going to just go get you your

breakfast

oh can you add some cheese some beets

and eggs onto that ma'am thank you

i think i can do that yes and she sort

of hobbles off into the back

um and um she goes and makes you guys

your breakfast

um it takes a little while but

um by the time she gets all of your guys

breakfast out it is

hot it looks delicious it smells great

and she puts it down

um right in front of you guys and says

um

that will be uh just i'll round it down

to one silver piece for

the the whole meal i got it

and i'll give her everyone else was

silent

yeah i'll give her a gold because i love

this place so i'm like

well you're my favorite customer uh

you're my favorite

she takes it she she takes it she

um puts it in her pocket and she goes

back to serving

uh pastries and baked goods to the other

uh

other people who are here while she was

cooking and we were waiting i'm assuming

we found a table we sat down we relaxed

and

talked about the plan a little bit um

could i look across the street

where james's fisherman shop is do i see

if he's there is it shut down what's

going on

yeah so you look across the street and

you see the doors are closed

um the little front window to where you

walk up and

you can order um everything is closed

and

um yeah it doesn't seem to have opened

for the day

okay enjoy my meal so what do you guys

think about the pastries calc hasn't

touched his

i'm just i'm just eating the bread i'll

do those things where like you slowly

push something closer to someone every

few seconds

so like i push it like do it through

during the meal i'm just like i push it

closer

in between me shoving things in my mouth

i'm just instinctually as it gets closer

and closer it's just going to take that

as well

it's yeah no wait marge that's that's

not yours that's calyx

i'm going to take the half eat and just

sort of hand it over

like i'm sorry kelly hand out okay like

give me that march

here you go kelly and i hold it up to

him with wide open

about the the cheese mark you know it's

just really really good

i'm really starving everybody else how

is everybody else's meal

i take this pastry i take this pastry

like i plucked the

shards from martha's shoulder like like

like it's a dangerous object and i just

flynn is just staring

wide-eyed and smiling just waiting for

you i just like pull the slightest like

crumb off of it all right and i put it

in and i just like mung it for a second

it's good huh that's it

it's delightful the best

um what flavors are they well i like the

lemon ones but

she has all kinds of flavors but the

lemon ones i think are the best

um can you describe these pastries to me

um

i imagine them to be like

pastries with like filling like lemon

meringue filling inside

uh like like almost like a like a cream

filled doughnut

but like are they like turning overs are

they like turnovers so like yeah

on either side and the filling is on the

inside and like flaky and buttery

yeah very tasty and they're like the

size of our heads almost

wow like they're huge so i

fit directly into the center and got the

lemon curd

all over my face and i'm just like

licking my hands and rubbing them on to

get it off

and i look over and see oma just like

that's that's the best way to eat it

what do you like them you like them yeah

they're really good

we should get a few more to go pack them

in our packs

and as we're finishing i will go up and

order a few more to throw in a bag

and take a to-go bag with us i'll take

i'll buy three i'll buy three more and

give her another gold

i'm okay i'm gonna lean over uh to

kellick uh

and under my breath say

i was always worried whenever i entered

a city that i'd make too much of a scene

but uh i guess i don't have to worry

about being the only one

yes i suppose not try you're in good

company

um as i leave as we leave i'm gonna walk

over to the

the fishermen shop and like are there

any notes or

anything left you just said it was just

closed for the day

um yeah just looks like it's closed this

is his um

this is his shop this is where we found

the note i don't know

i don't think i remember where he did he

say where he lived

how do we find james

i think he told us just to find him in

the fishers

area in addersfeld so

in the market district he lives in the

market district which is

where we are with your friend you do see

it as a

like a two-story building

maybe he's upstairs um

oh

at the pastry shop flynn know perhaps if

he lives upstairs or lives anywhere else

oh that's a good idea right across the

street and i run across back over to the

pastry shop

hey um is james home does he live there

um yes yeah he lives there i i haven't

seen him open shop this morning which is

strange because whenever he's um not out

on the river he

he opens his shop every day crap

and i saunter back to the group i don't

know guys i don't

maybe he's not in i

i would imagine he would be and he needs

to rest he didn't look that great right

do you have a piece of paper and and

and a piece of charcoal yes

yeah right here and she uh she hands you

over a piece of paper and

um a quill it looks like she takes

orders on this

piece of paper um so on the quilt um

using the coil i'm going to write on the

piece of paper

and the gang um we're

just checking up on you bad guys

are gone and you're safe

um

wanna check on you

i'm imagining this paper starts with

really big high jeans

and i fold it up and i'm going to run

across the street and slip it under the

door

uh i'm going to uh oh no i didn't tell

him where to find us

yeah oh well i don't really know where

to find us we don't know where we're

going yet

drifters on the wind uh

i'm not on the wind ma'am do do you have

some kind of

maybe a jar of of uh peanut butter or

something uh for the road

yes yeah i've got peanut butter i've got

honey i've got

jelly um i've got all sorts of things

i've got um

a nice like cream uh pastry filling

uh what would you like uh sure uh i

would take a jar of peanut butter and

jelly and

uh a loaf of bread uh if you don't mind

okay and she grabs everything from

behind the counter and

hands you a big old jar of peanut butter

a

big jar of jelly and a couple of loaves

of bread in a bag

do you like live here do is there a

place we could stay

um i mean i assume so i have a

like my own place in iron light like

they give us like a a small room with a

bed and during training i have that

to like stay i think there you could

stay in some of the bars

around here though they have like ins uh

dm what i know about that

if there's like ins and places to stay

like to lock

yeah there is um depending on on what

sort of

lodging you would like what what are you

looking for

i would probably when she brought that

up i'd probably just think of like the

medium

like the middle of the road like the

middle class kind of like regular

lodging like nothing that's too dirty

nothing like

fancy just like middle of the road yeah

um

so sort of uh sort of near

in it's it's definitely in this area of

the city um

the the lower market um there is the

deep drowl in

um which has offered some deep

drowl drowl okay d-r-o-w-l

um the deep drawl in it offers um decent

amenities

you know the people who stay there are

generally kind and just travelers

passing through

and yeah it's a pretty reputable

establishment

um we go to deep draw in that's a decent

one and

the owners are real nice

i think we should go somewhere and and

figure out our next

move sure i

i kind of want to drop something off

quick just i know we tried doing it

earlier

but we kind of didn't have time but now

i feel like we have maybe a little bit

more time

i'd like to drop something off oh yeah

what time is it

um it is early morning just cresting

into midday

yeah i want to drop something off at the

blacksmith to get worked on so then

maybe i can pick it up

in a few hours or by the end of the day

like once we're done running around

while we're on our way there flynn maybe

you could enlighten us on this work you

were

thinking about having us take on uh

prior to leaving the city

he said he had an idea well um

well so there's a there's a place in

like the collective where they

kind of gather all the tips and

uh and and and

i guess requests of

problems of like monsters and and beasts

that are plaguing

certain areas and so i mean if we wanted

to get some extra money we could go

there and just

kind of help out

but we're not part of the ironlight

collective

so yes are we allowed to do that

i mean i could get something and then

we could do it it seems like that's okay

as long as it's like unofficial

officially i would turn it in yeah

so we're like subcontractors for you

sure you'll get the job and then you'll

find you'll like build a team

an elite team of monster hunters

and then we'll go and kill the monster

with you and

and then like you'll pay us to do that

yes

yeah i mean that just kind of kind of

like the hollow guard like i or ar had

to like build a team and then pay us to

do jobs

so um what i'm saying

is the iron line is just like postcard

well we don't kill people but you kill

monsters

and calyx said that that that's sentient

and you shouldn't kill those either

so so there it's the same yeah but if

something's harming

people i it's dangerous

and it you know and if it's dangerous

and it's hurting people then

we need to stop it well then maybe you

should teach those animals

about about the gods and and then they

won't kill people either because

then everyone will know that it's bad

well i mean we can try that i don't know

it's not what i was taught but maybe

it'll work

you know uh there's a lot of there's a

lot of gray area in there alma

it's not it's not as easy as it sounds

and so certainly

uh i don't mean to sneeze at flynn's

profession

oh so what are you supposed to do well

you just have to do your best alma

that's what i'm saying

is that uh when it comes to matters of

life like you're

like your friend uh like your hobgoblin

friend there that we turned in

you know uh he's a bad sort

right but he's a living being and

living beings are an honor to vermeer

and so

you have to take that into account

in all dealings with them and try to

just like take their crown off

yesterday i think um and i

pulled off my backpack and i smashed

like slam it down onto the table

um so and i pull off my my short sword

off my belt and like it

drags a little bit on the ground as i

pull it up so and i take off

my bow i put it on the table and and

then i take off my

my quiver and i put that down as well so

um

i want to take this sword and i hold it

in the sheath and i just

smoosh it against the side of the

backpack and i i want it to be

right there and stay there

no matter which direction it faces and

then i pick up the

the bow and then smoosh it on the other

side of the backpack

and i want the bow to be on this side

and the same thing i just wanted to not

move

and i pick up the quiver of arrows and

smoosh it in between the the bow on the

same side

and the same with this quiver i want to

put it right there and make sure that it

doesn't move as well

so that basically they're on the sides

of either of my backpack does that make

sense

yeah i can do that how cool do you want

this thing to be done as soon as

possible

how is the quickest you can do it i can

get it done

okay um did you hear what he said

uh no i didn't hear i didn't understand

any of that um

um ask him if you can pick it up

tall this is a goliath-sized javelin

i don't know i put my arm around it and

try and carry it like a

like a piece of two by 2x4

i don't think that's very safe and then

i try and do the walking stick thing

does that work because it's still too

big to use a walking stick i'm only

three feet tall

i'm gonna have you make a strength it

also might be kind of weird to walk

through a city

with a javelin out i don't know what

kind of city this is but

sometimes they don't like having weapons

out uh

a strength just a straight strength yeah

i don't know what everybody else wants

to do but uh just as

just a strange curiosity i have when we

first came into the city there was a

burned out building

and i just wanted to take a look at that

and

see what was going on um but

that's all i have on my docket okay

after a couple minutes of

looking around um you're able to find a

shoe shop actually um just a little bit

down the road

that's got all sorts of stuff to keep

your

armor nice and shiny and you're able to

find some rubbing alcohol

um and whatever you would need to clean

your armor

cool and that would just be uh one

copper piece for that nice

you need to sell your other armor as

well did you do that already i can't

remember

uh i i can

i i have it uh where's your gold just

tucked away

sure i would sell that yeah yeah

okay um

yeah you would actually be able to do

that there okay um so uh

yeah so what kind of armor is that just

a leather armor

is gonna be

would like to use um city secrets

to find some like alleyways that i think

will head in the right direction

oh okay and um me and the whole party

will move there

twice as fast oh nice

so yeah in uh in no time you guys are

able to move over uh

to the upper market and as you guys

look around immediately like the

clothing of

the people here changes um

definitely more upscale some of the

smells that you smell from the

restaurants are a little bit more

a little bit stronger and you can really

smell a lot of the ingredients that are

going on here

and you can see more magic shops off on

either side

but uh you guys enter a magic shop um

and depending on how many

healing potions you want to get um here

they are going to be 40 gold

ah

here as opposed to where else can i buy

uh another city

dm would flynn know if that's a good

price

for healing potions um yeah flynn would

know that that's actually a little bit

below super standard um a little bit

cheaper

um yeah that's that would be influencing

um yeah so as flynn kind of walks into

this

magic shop since we haven't really been

to anyone in a while

they'll walk in and kind of like just

breathe in the smell of the magic stuff

and like kind of like

kind of give it like a smile of like

recognition like oh man

all right and kind of look around and

kind of just

see how this shop is set up kind of take

it in and kind of see

similarities and differences and whatnot

um how does this one look

like is it um this one looks uh actually

pretty minimalistic

um in that it's got like

one of everything displayed on the

shelves

um and everything is like very well

spaced

and um everything is like sort of

perfectly aligned

um on the shelves and you go over and

you actually see a variety of different

potions and spells um you see some

different enchanted armors you see some

enchanted weaponry

and um yeah just all sorts of magic

items uh components things of that sort

yeah i'll compare it to like i don't

know other shops that i've seen

um the shop i know and kind of

it's is it high quality kind of stuff

yeah it looks very high quality

what's it called this is called

the tombkeeper uh

in terms of their components would you

say they're

you know are they mineral based are

there herbs or they're

uh starts looking around um

thinking that he's running low on some

of the

uh natural components that he'd been

gathering in the shadow timberland

and now that he's away from there may

want to find a couple more things

yeah sure so um the tomekeeper uh

stocks uh pretty much all the the sort

of

components that you would like um you do

see piles of

um uh like crushed gems

in the corner um gem dust uh

that might catch your eye you do see

full gems as well

you see a couple like different sized

diamonds

and that sort and then a little bit down

the shelf

you start to see more like plant

material components

great uh i'm going to

are there any are there any like

kits like arranged in like a like a

mineral kit

versus an herb kit or is everything kind

of all apart

everything looks uh pretty a la carte

okay uh in that case i'm gonna

look for some feldspar i'm gonna look

for

some moon seeds i'm gonna look for

a little bit of brimstone and some

powdered iron

send me that stuff okay um and i will

let you know later how much it all costs

fantastic i'm gonna buy

one potion because that's what i can

afford

you know i'll walk up with her and and

take a look at these potions

okay and uh kind of

it's a really nice shop

mean ones that i

more familiar with making and helping

they look a little bit more red than

these ones so i guess i'm just a little

bit worried that they may not be as

potent

i guarantee you they they do their job

perfectly

i have sold these to many adventurers

and healers and people of medicine

and i have never once gotten a complaint

of their potency

here that is that you can guarantee the

uh craftsmanship you know

almost too clean

they're just like

that's just from

business in this area and i sort of

and and it makes you uncomfortable to be

in magic shops because of it

it's you know you kind of look around

and i sort of just

don't necessarily know if i want to

revisit that time

so it hurts you to go into magic shops

because it makes you

miss everything you could have done did

you want to open a magic shop is that

what you wanted to do

i actually wanted to call it the tomb

keeper as well so that just really hurt

me a little bit as well

three figures um all talking with each

other

all in very familiar robes to you

um you see one man in the middle and

two and uh one on either side of him the

man in the middle

looks uh to be maybe like in his mid 40s

short brown hair clean shaven

fairly skinny and you see a distinct

tri-ring tattoo in the center of his

forehead

you immediately recognize this

as malcolm

and as they're walking down um you see

the

says to the other two sort of as they're

walking and he says

and then i said to him no let her light

shine upon you

and then the other two on either side

and they are continuing to walk towards

you guys

not seeming to take note of you yet who

who notices

this person

i'll try to hide behind march

i i will uh uh just just as as as

subtly as i can uh just kind of

drift uh to the opposite to try and put

march between me and malcolm

okay i'm gonna sort of like turn around

just sort of uh like lean behind uh

uh the nearest um

obstruction i guess uh i'm gonna i'm

gonna try and make myself

seem big to like getting i'm am i able

to sort of

understand that he's trying to

hide or do anything for me there's

something or somewhere someone

it's pretty apparent that he's he's at

least trying to get away okay so i'm

gonna kind of just like make my

myself look a little as big as i can and

then just be like

you wanna do you wanna tell me what the

hell is going on no

i don't okay let me rephrase that tell

me what the hell is going on

would i have been able to identify that

he was looking at these people

um make an insight check okay

i don't know if i've ever done that

um yeah you caught his eyes looking at

these three people and

um you also took note that the robes

that they're wearing while

much nicer and much cleaner than calyx

um do seem to be the same type of robes

was i able to identify this track like

or did i see the tattoo on his forehead

um yeah he he's got his hair sort of

cut back um so it's it's a very apparent

tattoo

okay so then i'm gonna be like i'm going

to say in a very loud voice

even though they're they're farther away

on your forehead and those robes

and and we can just move on past the

temple district

probably going into the church and from

there

we'll need not deal with this any

further

but if you get any inkling

that they're about to start some [ __ ]

you tell

not just me you tell all of us

immediately understood

sure of course i know you're not about

killing people but if somebody's even

remotely going to harm oma

or flynn or shraya

maybe you if they're going to do any of

that i will have to

intervene and i will not

stand by where they harm any of you so

let's just go

quietly but if they're going to try and

do some [ __ ] then

and i'm just going to kind of like hold

my hands like

i i i don't i don't want to see you hurt

even though you don't

believe in you know any of that or if

you want march you can go on ahead

and just let me make my way i'll go the

other way around

right if you're not with me if you're

not with me then these people don't

won't

think twice about scenes no you're

coming with us come on we're not

have we at any point ever left any of us

we've split up when it's strategically

sound to do so and that's what i'm

proposing

nobody has gotten individually with the

exception of flynn

coming leaving us and then coming back

with shiny tattoos

right so i know you're going to get

tattooed is what you're saying

i heard it's very uh in fashion to have

your own name tattooed on your arm so i

you know who knows i might check it out

you to get your entire name tattooed

all along your chest look either way

standing here is not doing us any good

caves of the shadows as best we can and

the three of them have to be looking

around realizing that

we've just booked it in the opposite

direction wondering what's going on

i can't wait to see this burning

building maybe actually this is a really

this is the the shop i went to to get my

armor kind of sized down a little bit

they're really good if you ever need to

yeah yeah yeah yeah and then this place

has the best

the best beers why do i feel like shraya

is starting to realize it but alma and

flynn are like

yeah i'm just like doing the tour thing

like unsupervised children

and uh yeah so we're just i don't know

if we make it to the place

yeah but that's what we're doing you

guys you guys made it to this uh this

building wow

what does it look like um it looks like

it was

um like probably an

inn of some sort um possibly like with a

with a tavern down at the bottom

um and uh yeah it looks like it was uh

three stories high most of the third

story

is completely collapsed in on itself um

a good portion of the second story as

well

and then the first floor um is just

completely burned um char everywhere

um and probably structurally unsafe

um i'm gonna walk up to the like

an entry point um i'm assuming there's

probably many because it's burnt and i'm

gonna like kick the wall

and say hey you think it's safe to go

inside

um no

what happens when i kick it uh

make an athletics check actually uh

roll damage i'm gonna i'm gonna have you

like do an unarmed strike

no damage um an

unarmed strike yeah um

for me or yep i guess so yep

oma blows up the entire setting

five five points of damage five points

of damage

um so you kick the wall and um

like the the whole ceiling like a

layer of ash just like falls from the

ceiling

wow damn hey kelly what are we supposed

to be doing

wait where's where are they where'd they

go

i'm walking inside

[Laughter]

and i turn around to look at like i turn

around for the rest of the party and

they're not there

and then i turn back around and i see

all my walking

oh [ __ ] it and i go in with her um so

the last time i went into a burnt

area um i i could try i tried to look to

see if the ma

if the fire was was um like

magical damage or not um like if i

thought that the fire seemed

like um fire that i can cause or whether

it seemed like it was like a

like a log that caught fire or like an

alcohol bottle that exploded i would

like to do that here

okay uh yeah make an arcana check

ten uh ten

you don't know exactly where this fire

originated or

what was used to start the fire you just

determined that probably not

arcane it doesn't look like it burns in

a similar way that your fire does okay

does it remind me

of the basement that we found that march

and i found

um it's you can't you can't tell okay

with a 10 you wouldn't be able to tell

what are you looking for

um i was just trying to figure out how

how this fire could have started like if

it was just an accidental fire or or if

it was on purpose

huh

can i look around um i want to look

for um

shiny things or like

papers that didn't get burnt or like

partial

or like writing of some kind yeah make

an investigation check

when she mentions that she's trying to

figure out if it's uh

like how it was made i'll start looking

too

and like let's see if i can figure out

maybe how it was started i don't know if

that's something flint can even do but

he'll start like kicking things around

looking for like uh

yeah you can also make an investigation

origin or

sure 14 uh

14. um looking around you uh

you notice a couple things um so

off in the corner um you can see that

there's

um what was probably once some glass

shards but

with the fire it looks like some of the

some of this glass has sort of melted

and fused together a little bit

um looking around uh

you also notice often the

one of the other corners um you notice

sort of like a

coat rack um that has been mostly burned

but

on the ground you see a couple articles

of clothing um

and looking at them they appear to be

like possible military uniforms

hey flynn like kicking stuff

and i like oh what and i like come up

from one of the desks and i have a

like smudge on my face from like ashes i

got a

total of 20 on my investigation check

but i'll i'll look my

head up and i'll walk over there what

what do you

what do you see what's this do those do

those look like

the things that soldiers wear um and

i'll go over and i'll just pick it up

is it like a suit of armor or like a

like a uniform like clothes

is that what you said um yeah it's uh

not

armor necessarily but with your

investigation check you would know

definitively that this is

um this is like the jacket with the

insignia of um an officer in the army of

ondale oh

this is yeah this is like the officers

for hondale like i'll point at the

insignia is it just the clothes

um it's just a jacket most of it is

burned like the whole

left side of it is charred um

your investigation check no there's not

a body it's just the jacket

um with your investigation check you

also would have

noticed um just some like

mostly burned just like some corners of

a couple pieces of paper

um and on one of them you do notice um

like uh the insignia of the army of

undeal

okay just like the corner of it uh most

of it's been burned um

it's just i'll pick up the paper and i

guess it like was under the

clothes i'm like oh and i'll pick that

up is it just the same

symbol or is it like have writing on it

once i pick it up and take a look at it

so it's like it's the corner of a piece

of paper and

it just has like the corner of the

insignia on it

you just recognize like maybe a quarter

of the

the etching i don't know what this means

do you think maybe do you think maybe

they burnt the place down because there

were

military officers here yeah maybe that's

what maybe it was like

they were it was like a spy mission

to take out oh my god the enemy

so you well so you mean like kaldura

came over here maybe should we go up to

the second floor

to under yeah yeah okay

careful be careful i'm gonna kick the

stairs

i don't think i should be in this

building if

you are actively trying to tear it down

oh [ __ ] try it i forgot you're here

hey i'm trying i'm not trying to i'm

just making sure it's stable

another as another layer of ash falls

from the ceiling

um i shake my head shake that kellick in

march you guys approach

uh this building uh can i look around

and do i

anywhere see those people that

had flustered caleb

um no no those were um quite a ways back

um in the in the upper market um

you guys are sort of well this building

actually is pretty much

right up against the wall um the outer

wall of the city

caleb do you have any idea what this was

um would i from the

10 years i spent in addersfeld yeah make

a history check

which dice do you use though not the one

you've been using

that is an 11 and 11. um

you don't you know this

to have been at one point um

housing for military personnel um

officers uh in the army of ondale

specifically

sort of the higher-ups and you know

sort of where the slums are now um that

used to be fully occupied by the army

um before they moved into a

specific section of the city um this is

sort of one of the remnants

of when the army had taken over

uh or when the army had occupied a

larger

portion of the city you don't know

exactly how the fire was started

or um anything like that from your

memories but you do

specifically remember that this was

an officer sort of station

larger rooms and stuff like that that

normal infantry wouldn't um

be privy to how fresh does the fire look

um it looks pretty old it looks like

it's been sitting here for some time

um i'm assuming home and i walked up the

stairs and like are on the second floor

and that's when

kellick and marc showed up

you guys are just heading up the stairs

um you would have been able to catch

catch them as they were sure so this is

just flavor so if it if it can be

allowed

uh i'll while we're up at the top of the

stairs we hear them come in

and i'll look for like a little i'm

assuming there's maybe like a hole or

like a

an opening from the second floor looking

down on the first there's a large

yeah yeah so i'll go up to it and as i

hear the kind of just poke my head like

oh hey caleb um there's some

there's some military officer clothes

over there uh and then i have that paper

i'm like oh

uh here's a piece of paper with the

insignia on it and i just chuck it down

and it kind of like flutters down to the

floor

what else are we supposed to be looking

for here

well i just uh

it struck my curiosity because uh

well ashes have taken on a new meaning

for me

as of late right remember he did that

thing with the ashes and he like

oh right should we gather some of these

so you can do like your

your stuff do you need this

i start like piling it up in a little

pile sure yeah okay little bag of it

perhaps

i like yeah i'll pile some of it up and

and wrap it in like

a piece of linen or something and the uh

the insignia that he's

thrown down to me uh it it would be that

of

of the forces of ondel or is it an

addersfield

um no it's it's um sort of an

overarching

um overarching insignia for ondale okay

so it's all the same military signal

right it's not like

different yeah ondale um there are

different

uh sections of their army um but for the

most part they off uh they all

march under one flag of ondo got it

well after i poke my head out i kind of

do one of those things i like poked it

out

and then i like come back and pile a

little thing um

and i'll do like a quick look like

what's on the second floor anything

catch my eye quickly um

yeah so i'll just bring over your same

investigation check

um this looked to be um

you can see like remnants of um a bed

post

with um like a little cot in it um

off on one side um and then you can see

sort of like a

wash area over on the other side this

was probably

more living quarters than the downstairs

was um

i don't really see much up on this floor

alma do you want to go to the last one

and then maybe we can

i look up and isn't it like completely

sky above me

because isn't the fir the third floor

like

onto the second floor hasn't it be like

completely collapsed

the third floor is is almost entirely

collapsed um

the staircase up there is like

it's it only has like every fifth

step um most of them are completely

falling out

um so you can definitely try and get up

there um

but that's going to need some checks

from you guys um

do you think there's anything up there

maybe

maybe and maybe we'll never know if we

can i mean yeah

it's the harder place to go check so

that means that less people have checked

it

right but if it's been forever since we

don't know how long this has been on

fire i mean

maybe they've already combed it dry

maybe there's nothing up there

and we'll have done all this work for

nothing but what

but but we'll never know we'll never

know

okay let's go and i'm going to try and

hop up the stairs i'm going to have both

of you guys make acrobatics

is there any way i could like just fly

through a top window

and like get to the top of the structure

because you have wings yes you can

the entire well like the entire

top portion of this building is

completely burned away

um you could pretty much fly over it and

drop in from above

i'd like to do that okay

i do not need any checks from you um our

checks i got a uh

acrobatics uh a 17 for acrobatics for

flint

okay i rolled really really bad

but i have a plus a lot um still just an

eight

just an eight okay um flynn your

halfling nimbleness uh you can get up

these stairs

um no problem and there's only about

like maybe uh 10 square feet

uh for you to actually stand on before

the floor has completely collapsed out

around you um and then oma as you are

walking up these stairs you're trying to

get up um

you step on one of these stairs and the

wood completely breaks

from underneath you um i'm gonna have

you make another acrobatics channel can

i reach out to see if you can land

on uh try and grab her and grab her hand

um sure yeah make uh i'm probably fine

i think flynn would try and stare at

each other try and help though

yeah like oh oh my whoa make it make it

a disadvantage because there

is there's like no we're kind of far

away

put your foot in so uh you said what

kind of check uh

make this acrobat an acrobatic check

okay

um a nine a nine

um you reach out but you are just not

able to to reach far enough or you're

not able to get your footing

um in a good place to step up oma what

was that

acrobat 15 uh 15 okay

nice so you land down on that second

floor

you um you land in like a good spot to

where

the floor beneath you uh even though the

wood has like

completely almost rotted out um you land

in a good spot to where it doesn't

collapse and drop you onto the first

floor so um

you just you land don't take any damage

and you are fine

omar are you okay

there's um lot of dust

i'm fine i got a beard and i'm gonna do

it again

and i'm gonna run back up and do it

again wait and i pull out

i don't have anything [ __ ] yeah

make another acrobatic check and i'm

trying to give her advantage but i'm

guessing she's not taking

she's too far away i know how to do this

this time

and i try to um correct the mistakes i

made last time

um being very nimble on my feet and i

rolled a 21.

oh nice okay um yeah and you

you hop on each of these steps uh and

you make it up to where flynn is

see i told you i can do it as you guys

both see shraya sort of hovering down

oh right through the ceiling yeah um we

could have just done that

no it's cheating yeah you're right i

could have just

picked either of you up and taken you up

how are we ever gonna learn to be on our

own

triumph we're always using you well i

hope

you aren't just using me

oh my god you know what i meant

of course we're not using you i meant

how are i'm a being

i'm a being with feelings and emotions

yeah oma

gosh i appreciate your skills

and i think you're a very nice bird and

i like you

a lot which is why i'm trying to make

sure that

i can take care of myself

without wings i hope you understand that

and want me to grow as well

yeah this is a lesson every young

being must learn so yes i

yes i'm still down to have

uh your help getting out of here though

you know if you want to help me out

what's up here can we even walk

yeah so you can looking around here um

there is about a ten foot um

square of flooring that hasn't

completely collapsed out

um and then the floor is totally

collapsed all up until

the very far corner and in the far

corner you can see about a 5 foot

diameter area of floor that also hasn't

collapsed

um here on this side you can see that

there is

a dresser um like a wooden dresser

that uh the doors have completely fallen

off of it and

you look inside and you can see a couple

of um jackets

in there these like leather jackets

and then you can also see a an end

table off on that other

piece of flooring that hasn't collapsed

on the other side of this building i'm

going to look through the jackets and

try to find one that i think

will fit kellock and march

okay um you find one

that would probably fit march and it

for the most part isn't too burned it

might need a little bit of cleaning

um and then you find one that would

probably fit kalec

um but this has like some some

fire damage all over it um none of it is

really missing

um but it's like the the leather of it

has gotten charred

and uh i i i grab them both and i look

up to flynn and i say

stylishly distressed yeah it's a look

[Laughter]

as she's doing that i kind of do my once

around and i notice the end table in the

far

corner and the perilous journey that

we're going to have to potentially take

and i'll

i'm not i'll kind of give uh oman elbow

as she's like looking for the

leather or the coats and she says that

i'm like oh yeah it's a look and i look

over i'm like

that's got to be where the treasure is

plant i i don't think there's any

treasure here you give

somebody say treasure yes thank you

and i hold my arms out let's go over to

that end table

all right hold on i like duck down

there's only 10 feet up here and i grab

on to his legs and

hopefully make it over to the end table

yeah easy enough um you make it over

there and i

before i get there i say try it don't

land just drop me i'm light

in case it breaks all right

and i'll drop down onto the little

corner area with the end table

okay um it seems relatively stable you

probably don't want to move around too

much

on this thing and as you open up the

drawer on the end table you see a

little box in there this

box um is um

probably about six inches by six inches

and um it has

like these metal bands going around it

and in the front the metal bands are

connected together

by two separate locks

i hold it up when i point at it i like

hold up towards alma

oma told you i'm over here

i told you i'll open it from over there

told you there's treasure

ah um

i already got treasure and i just said

the letter just have this

ratty i give

and i look down over the ledge to see

how far the drop is

it's about 30 feet down whoa 55

and look at the i think about dropping

it to break the locks

if only you had me over there i can

break through locks

can you really um yeah

oh i was trained to be a thief duh

it's part of the job description oh

well that's great try it i hold my arms

out again

completely i'm disregarding that she was

poking fun at me

like oh cool let's do it

i was distracted by a ruby-throated

sparrow hovering in the distance yes

try out get try out come back

kelligan margaret at the bottom like

what damn while this is going on are

there are there human remains or

anything

down here or has it all been no cleared

out okay no you don't see

any bodies or anything can we hear

everything that's happening

even though we're on the bottom floor

can we hear what's occurring

yeah because on the second floor and the

third floor portions of the floor have

um completely fallen out you can hear

everything that's going on okay

um and try it

um shreya comes and picks it up

all right let's go back to alma she said

she can open this

is that the only thing that was over

there um that was i i checked all the

other drawers and everything right

um in the bottom drawer um there was

actually uh

a pair of pants just like standard pants

but they're

almost completely burned out i'll rifle

through their pockets if there are

pockets i'll write through them and then

and then if there's something posted

over

you find two cops

and i fly as i'm flying over i show the

two copper like and then i

drop it accidentally god

i'm gonna look over at kayla can be like

does it almost sound like there's just

two children just roaming through

the halls of this door sound like

all right should we go downstairs first

to do this

why are you scared no i'm just

here you're right no i'm not scared yeah

what's there to be scared of

i look over the ledge again is it still

really far yes it is

definitely not scared can i like

step on the wood to see if it's solid

yeah not really maybe just

quickly okay

uh i pull out my thieves tools okay make

a slide of hand check

and add my proficiency

just add the additional proficiency

right yeah so if i already have

proficiency in sleight of hand do i add

anything else

um you add uh my proficiency no if

you've already if

if you've already got proficiency in

that then no just be side of hitch

eleven huh

um eleven so you uh you open up one of

these locks but it's still got us a

second lock on there and that this

second lock

you're just not looking to figure out

maybe you're right maybe i need better

footing but this one's open what's

inside the first one

uh nothing you can't open it without it

it's two locks to get open this one box

maybe i need more leverage um

i'll stand up

i don't know i don't think i can we can

go down i mean i need more leverage like

on the ground like i could use more

floor

so you're scared now i'm not scared i

just can't get enough leverage because

you're

my way there's a lot of room around here

and like you're taking up half of it of

course

yeah i mean if you're if you feel like

you'd be less scared down there we can

do it down there

don't make me shove you off this you

won't

oh i want to though

should we have srya bring us down no

come on i don't want you to drop it

whatever's inside could be fragile

but i've never flown on triad i don't

know if i want to okay well you let me

just hold it

and i'll take it down with tria so it's

safe and you can

opt in or you just give it just right

try it

stop chasing the bird i was chasing a

hummingbird this time

and i can't quite catch it come here we

need you to bring something down

one sec i'm almost ah got away

what here this is precious

don't drop it and i'll hand them the the

box with the one lock undone

just bring it down we're gonna go down

on our own

all right

all right i'll hand them the box and and

then we'll head down

okay you all make your way down to the

the first floor

and then i hold my hand up to high five

good job

awesome uh yeah and we'll run over the

box again like little kids getting a

christmas present

uh i haven't landed yet i'm still trying

to chase them

see i told you we should just had it in

our hands we've been fine

yeah we would have been fine yes

oh yes uh and i kind of deposit the box

back where they are and then go back to

trying to catch the hummingbird

holding my hands and okay flynn you got

the box um

if i hold it and give you leverage by

holding it would that help

no no i could just put it and there's

probably is the bar still there

which bar like is there a bar for the

lodging like

you said it was kind of like a tavern is

there not yes

yeah yeah yeah um yeah part of it's

collapsed but there's a little bit of

counter space okay so i'm gonna walk

over to the counter space i'm gonna put

it down on top of the counter space and

like

angle my body in a way that like i

couldn't before

and like i want to like get on top of

the

um um

counter as well and like kneel on it so

that it's like by my knees

and i'm trying to open it like trying to

uncork a wine bottle yeah

okay yeah and when she does that while

she's like there i'm like kind of like

right behind her like looking over her

shoulder like really excited like

waiting for it to

be open like oh come on hurry up

honestly

i assume caleb and i are still sort of

like standing back slightly from this

and i'm gonna kind of just like jokingly

turn to kayla and be like

oh look honey they're so happy and

excited

and then just like watching them do

everything but just like knowing

how angry that just made caleb

kelly just glowers and takes one step

away just like side steps one step yeah

is tryia chasing another bird now oh

yeah

yes um oma i'm gonna have you make

you're just trying to brute force this

thing right i mean i've got my tools

so i'm i'm trying to use but i'm using

my

leverage now to like get the gotcha

like feel the mechanism more okay

um then i will have you make another

slide of hand check

at advantage

i'll let you roll it at advantage so

nice

okay um nice so uh yeah now that you've

got your proper leverage um you feel

the mechanism of the lock come undone

almost immediately

um as this box pops open

and within the box um you see five

small little vials maybe

half an ounce of liquid in each um

and they appear to be this um

like very light blue almost like

water almost but like a little bit more

colored

in the blue and you see these five vials

and

next to it laying in the box you see a

little pendant a

little metal pendant that denotes the

insignia

of an officer of the army of caldera

and with that that is where we're gonna

end this session
