Dianna speaks with local singer/songwriter Austin McCarthy. Austin has entered the 2016 CBC Searchlight with his latest song, "Wrapped Around". Deadline to VOTE for Austin is Wednesday, April 20th at austinmccarthymusic.ca. We learn that Austin is currently studying a finance program at Concordia University in Montreal. This new song is a true reflection of his life in the big city. Born and raised in Collingwood, Austin won the 2014 Collingwood Idol and placed in the final five of the CBC's Rock Your Campus Competition. Last year at Village at Blue, he was the opening act for Canadian Icon, Kim Mitchell. Austin shares his thoughts on this competition and how his music continues to evolve over the years.
