BEACH CORNER with Dianna Chycki - July 07.16 - MATENROU OPERA
Show Notes
Matenrou Opera is a five-piece Japanese Visual Kei rock band from Japan. The band consists of Sono (vocals); Ayame (keyboards); Yuu (drums); Yo (bass) and Anzi (guitar). Matenrou Opera is a mixture of modern and classical styles. Influenced by traditional hard rock and heavy mental, Matenrou Opera is known for their beautiful melodies based on their hard rock sounds. Matenrou Opera has performed live concerts in the USA, Europe across Asia and has gathered fans all over the world. This was the band's first trip to Canada where they performed a live concert at Anime North at the Toronto Congress Centre on May 28th. Joining me is my exclusive Beach Corner interview with Matenrou Opera where I had the pleasure of speaking to the band prior to their concert. The questions are translated from English to Japanese and vice-versa by Certified Translator, Yakari Meldrum. Special thanks to the members from Matenrou Opera, J-Rock Promotions, King Records, Certified Translator, Yukari Meldrum and Anime North for making this interview possible.
