Multi-platinum and gold selling award winning acoustic guitarist, Jesse Cook holds ten platinum and gold studio albums, five concert DVDs and live discs, five PBS specials, one Juno Award, eleven nominations, one Gemini Award, three Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards, one Acoustic Guitar Magazine Player’s Choice Silver Award, thousands of concerts in dozens of countries, millions of You Tube views and audio streams.
Born in France, Jesse spent his live moving between Paris, Southern France and Barcelona. Following his parents separation he accompanied his mother to her birth country Canada.
Jesse was brought up in a family of filmmakers where his mother worked at the CBC on the Nature of Things and his father was a director.
His guitar playing is influenced by rhythmic Flamenco he toured with many music legends including, Ray Charles. This past year, he celebrated the 25th anniversary of his breakthrough album, “Tempest”. To commemorate the anniversary a 25-date cross-country concert was put on hold due to COVID-19.
Recently he launched his interpretation of the cover song of the 2013 sensation “A Great Big World – Say Something”. Joining Dianna via ZOOM is multi-platinum and gold selling award-winning acoustic guitarist, Jesse Cook.
