Jeff Jones is known in the music business as “Jonesy” and is an American Born Canadian musician who was a member of Ocean where he recorded the platinum hit “Put Your Hand in the Hand”. In the summer of 1968, fifteen-year old Jeff performed with Alex Lifeson and John Rutsey in the first incarnation of “Rush” as the primary singer and bassist.
Over the years Jeff played with some incredible artists such as Burton Cummings and the Carpet Frogs to Tom Cochrane and Red Rider to Randy Bachman to Ronnie Hawkins to name a few.
On June 11th, Jeff released a single “Naked in the Church” with Roar returning to his Gospel Roots. He is schedule to go on tour with Burton Cummings and later in December with Tom Cochrane and Red Rider.
Dianna had the pleasure of welcoming international music icon, Jeff Jones to our Beach BOOSTER studio who took time out of his busy schedule to do this interview in Wasaga Beach. Jeff will share stories of his musical career and new single.
