Montreal’s “Bad Skin” is a grunge rock band spearheaded by vocalist, Tamara who had a dream when she was young to start a crazy all-girl punk rock group. In 2016, Tamara quickly found her squad with Cora (lead guitarist), Christine (drums) and Aurély (bass).
Although we are in 2021, “Bad Skin” is bringing back the punk era of the nineties with their sound evoking Courtney Love meets Pat Benatar.
Over the years, “Bad Skin” performed in many festivals including the recent “Music 4 Cancer”. They’ve shook hands with their main inspo, “L7” and scored an invitation in the summer of 2019 to MIDEM in Cannes.
Their latest EP titled “Live Fast Die Punk” was written and recorded in 2019 with their solo, “Grey Day” composed in a mere four hours prior to its recording! “We had another solo before, but Caro wasn’t satisfied,” they shared. “The morning of the recording, she woke up with this melody and recorded it!”
An upcoming tour is scheduled for July 2022 in the U.K. presented by IndigoBravo Promotions and in the works is a new music video for the song “Clowns for President”.
