She is a trailblazer with over thirty years of experience in the world of festivals and events. Rosemarie Garrity O’Brien is best known for her monumental work on the Collingwood Elvis Festival dedicating twenty-five years to transforming it into a world-class event.

Rosemarie has received numerous personal awards, ranging from service in the tourism and hospitality sector to Fan Awards.

In a ceremony held in Niagara Falls on February 28th, Rosemarie was honoured with an induction into the Festivals and Events Ontario Hall of Fame in recognition of her 30-year-career planning festivals and events, including the Collingwood Elvis Festival.

A true leader in the event management and entertainment in the Collingwood area, Rosemarie’s contributions extend to the FEO board of directors, where she has served as president, past president, vice-president and awards committee chair.

Among the projects she is involved in are the busking program with Ryan MacIntyre and the new tourism event in South Georgian Bay called “Trail Tunes” which connects Clearview, Wasaga Beach and Collingwood.

It was a true pleasure for Dianna to welcome back via ZOOM coordinator of festivals and events of the Town of Collingwood, Rosemarie Garrity O’Brien.
