After 19 albums, countless awards, and 55 years of bringing the blues to audiences around the world, the legendary Downchild Blues Band is hitting the road for their farewell tour.

Downchild rose to international fame as the inspiration behind the Hollywood stars, Dan Aykroyd and the late John Belushi’s iconic film, The Blues Brothers.

Joining Dianna is Chuck Jackson, the lead singer and harmonica player for the Downchild Blues Band. Chuck is also the founder and artistic director of the Tim Hortons Southside Shuffle Blues and Jazz Festival and the past artistic director of the Stonebridge Wasaga Beach Blues Festival.

Celebrating 35 years with Downchild and an impressive 55 years in the music industry, Chuck has earned numerous accolades. In 2024, he was nominated for Industry Person of the Year at the Mississauga Music Awards, and this November, he will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award from Mississauga Tourism.

As part of their farewell tour, the Downchild Blues Band will perform at Meaford Hall on Thursday, October 17th, and at the Midland Cultural Centre on Saturday, October 26th, with special guest, Ottawa-based soul/blues singer-songwriter, Jeff Rogers.
