Montreal-born singer/songwriter, playwright and musical entrepreneur, Barry Stagg spent the first 29 years of his life his hometown before moving to Nova Scotia. In 2008, he relocated to North Carolina, where he now resides with his wife, Barbara.

A prolific composer, Barry has written six full-length modern operas, numerous film scores, and mini-operas. As the playwright-in-resident for NOSCO Academy of Theatre Arts, he created an impressive 90 musicals.

His talent has taken him to the international stage, performing at the prestigious MIDEM in Cannes, France, as well as in Sweden, and as a featured showcase artist at Toronto’s Indie Week.

Barry’s latest single “Shine A Little Light” part of his upcoming album titled “The Pilgrim” set for release late spring, is about looking back on a time when he was beginning his life as a musician and a songwriter.
