When the day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place, and suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind. 00:03:24.135 --> 00:03:27.439 And it Christ, true unity comes when we engage our heart to his, not worried about what's happening to the left and the right, not worried how our neighbor's doing it, but how we're doing it. 00:05:20.218 worshiping, having a moment in the presence. 00:10:06.004 --> 00:10:15.980 And there was this woman that was a couple rows in front of him worshiping, and it was really distracting, like just over the know, he's sitting there going, this is kind of awkward. 00:10:22.953 --> 00:10:27.057 I'm sitting here worshiping and this is distracting. 00:10:27.558 --> 00:10:30.193 Suddenly he's like, okay, was a prostitute and a drug addict for 15 years and recently got saved. 00:10:48.980 --> 00:10:51.615 And when she worships, she worships with everything inside. 00:10:53.784 --> 00:10:56.788 His response was, she can have my spot at the conference. 00:10:56.788 --> 00:11:03.160 I don't need to say a thing because I'll learn more by her worship than what I have going on inside. 00:11:03.160 --> 00:11:08.899 We see this in Second Samuel Michal, David's wife. David comes. 00:11:08.899 --> 00:11:10.368 He's worshiping before the Lord. 00:11:10.368 --> 00:11:14.371 He's laying it all out there and what does it say? 00:11:14.371 --> 00:11:16.673 That she mocked him? 00:11:16.673 --> 00:11:19.043 David's response was, you think this is undignified? 00:11:19.043 --> 00:11:21.044 I've got more. 00:11:21.044 --> 00:11:31.788 I will worship more undignified than this, because worship at a distance looks weird. 00:11:33.224 --> 00:11:37.695 Worship at a distance looks weird. 00:11:37.695 --> 00:11:42.567 You need to be slow to judge when the Spirit of God is moving. 00:11:43.167 --> 00:11:46.703 And be sensitive to what's happening and engage. 00:11:46.703 --> 00:11:53.110 You may worship differently, may look different than anything you've experienced before, but engage with what's happening in the moment. 00:11:54.611 --> 00:12:09.559 I remember years ago I was a, worship pastor, youth pastor at the preview I did the youth for for a season, and we had done this large outreach. 00:12:10.461 --> 00:12:23.607 And during this large outreach I was helping work as a kind of, a prayer counseling guide at the end of service for people that came forth and hundreds of people got saved. 00:12:23.607 --> 00:12:30.914 And I remember I was in the back, we were receiving people coming in, and there was a large room similar to the size of our chapel. 00:12:30.914 --> 00:12:40.224 We had chairs lined around the the wall and we would take people, sit with them, pray with them, people that had gotten saved. 00:12:40.224 --> 00:12:53.169 And I remember standing there and this 14 year old girl starts walking in and as she came, I remember seeing the tears in her eyes. 00:12:53.236 --> 00:12:58.009 And as she got closer to me, she collapsed. 00:12:58.009 --> 00:13:05.816 And I just kind of held her like in a in a very healthy, safe, loving way, like a father would. 00:13:05.916 --> 00:13:07.618 And she began to weep. 00:13:07.618 --> 00:13:12.423 And when I say weep, I mean she begin to ugly cry. 00:13:13.890 --> 00:13:15.860 And not only ugly cry. 00:13:15.860 --> 00:13:22.700 She began to wail so loud that it became very distracting. 00:13:22.700 --> 00:13:30.607 In certain times and certain moments, when that happens, you know you would be like, okay, let's go off to give me another couple counselors, go off into another room or whatever. 00:13:30.607 --> 00:13:33.309 But in that moment, the Lord said, don't, don't move. 00:13:33.309 --> 00:13:34.644 Just stay right there. 00:13:34.644 --> 00:13:39.549 And I just held her and she just cried and cried and cried. 00:13:41.184 --> 00:13:41.784 Here's the thing. 00:13:41.784 --> 00:13:44.754 She was in a safe place. 00:13:44.754 --> 00:13:48.392 She was in a safe place to receive the love of Jesus. 00:13:48.392 --> 00:13:54.097 She was in a safe place and God was doing a cleansing work inside her heart. 00:13:55.566 --> 00:14:03.506 What no one else knew in the room-- is I was with her six months before that, in the E.R. 00:14:04.307 --> 00:14:17.086 when she tried to commit suicide and she had slit both her wrists, and I got to pray with her and plant those seeds in that season and just love on her. 00:14:17.086 --> 00:14:20.524 And I knew she didn't have a father in her home. 00:14:23.660 --> 00:14:29.667 I even had a few people come up afterwards, and say, man, that was a little distracting and I said, yeah, but wasn't it freeing? 00:14:29.667 --> 00:14:31.368 Wasn't it beautiful? 00:14:31.368 --> 00:14:33.736 Wasn’t it amazing what God was doing? 00:14:37.106 --> 00:14:44.380 And I'm sharing that to say we have to be sensitive to what God is doing in the room. 00:14:45.249 --> 00:14:49.720 We have to be sensitive to when the Holy Spirit is moving. 00:14:50.988 --> 00:14:57.827 Usually when I that instant thing inside me that wants to jump out and say, I don't know if that's God, I don't know if this is that. 00:14:57.827 --> 00:15:02.499 I'm usually have to just take a breath and go, okay, Lord. 00:15:02.599 --> 00:15:02.865 Okay. 00:15:02.865 --> 00:15:04.333 What are you saying?
