Sunday Morning | August 30, 2026 | John C. Majors | Louisville, KY

In this week’s sermon on the Sermon on the Mount, Pastor John examines Matthew 5:13-16 and Jesus’ call for His followers to flourish even when the world is against them. Jesus gives us a picture of what it looks like to live faithfully through two powerful images: salt and light. As salt, believers are called to preserve what is good, influence the world around them, and live as people of covenant; as light, we are called to shine in the darkness and point others toward the hope found in Christ. When salt and light are combined, our faith cannot remain hidden—we are called to live visibly and intentionally as God’s people. Pastor John reminds us that this calling fulfills a purpose God established long ago: that His people would be a blessing to the nations. In response, we are challenged to take a step of faith by being intentional about sharing the Gospel, including reading the tract, and by praying daily for God to provide an open door to share our faith with others.

You can join us on Sunday mornings at 11 AM for worship.  We are located at 8911 3rd Street Road, Louisville KY 40272.
