In our busy culture, marriage often takes a backseat to packed schedules and endless commitments. Even biblical heroes like Moses struggled with overwhelming busyness that wasn't necessarily good. Busyness cuts us off from meaningful connections and robs us of the ability to be truly present with our spouse. The solution isn't eliminating all activities, but establishing clear priorities. Marriage should be viewed as a gift from God, not a chore. We must choose what we want to be great at and make being an excellent spouse one of those priorities. This requires continually pursuing your spouse, enjoying life together, and practicing the art of attention - really looking at and learning about the person you married.
