Joseph spent 22 years in slavery and imprisonment before stepping into the purpose God had prepared for him. His story is a powerful reminder that God's presence is not measured by our comfort level. Even in the darkest seasons, God is still working. Joseph refused to sit in three seats that belong to God alone: the seat of all knowledge, the seat of judgment, and the seat of sovereignty. When his brothers feared his revenge after their father died, Joseph responded with forgiveness and provision instead. His famous declaration captures the heart of his story: you intended to harm me, but God intended it for good. When you keep God in the equation, there is always a path from pain to purpose. The pit and the prison were not wasted years. They were preparation.
