We were created to bear the image of God and to live fully present in the reality He placed us in. Yet distractions, whether screens, habits, or hollow pursuits, pull us away from the people and moments right in front of us. Idolatry is not just an ancient problem. Anything that captures our attention and draws our focus away from God functions as an idol today. Technology, in particular, is designed to keep us engaged, and unchecked digital consumption quietly shapes our values and disconnects us from real life. God calls us to an embodied life: one marked by presence, stewardship, and a wholehearted pursuit of His kingdom. Jesus Himself is the ultimate example, stepping fully into human experience so that we could know God personally and live with genuine hope. Do not settle for ashes when He is offering abundance.
