SPEAKER_04

You're becoming a regular on here.

SPEAKER_01

I know. I love you guys.

SPEAKER_04

Oh. That's awesome. I would love talking for future.

SPEAKER_00

We should just have like a permanent segment with you on Twitter. You come on and talk about all kinds of stuff.

SPEAKER_04

All kinds of stuff. I love it.

SPEAKER_02

Actually, if I get elected, uh absolutely I'm I'm happy to do that.

SPEAKER_04

Well, you would be the only you would be the only governor to do so.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Oh, 100%. No. We're we're uh we've already said that. We're gonna keep having uh Zoom calls with people, we're gonna have open houses and mention, I'll be on radio shows. I mean look, you know, this is we gotta we gotta change the form of government we have. It's uh we are not some type of uh royalty here, you know.

SPEAKER_03

You mean like a PAMILOT?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, PAMLOT. I like that. I like that.

SPEAKER_04

You may steal it, but I'll charge you.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you only have 24 hours, but go ahead, steal it.

SPEAKER_02

I I I I'm I'm gonna tell you something though, guys. We're in a bad, we're in a bad place right now, so your listeners need to be careful about what happens tomorrow. So the race is actually dividing. If you look at any of the national polling, it's dividing into two tiers. In tier one is Pamela, uh Alan Wilson, and myself. In tier two are Mace and Norman. There is no path right now for Mace and Norman to make it to the runoff. So all that stands between an insider versus insider, 15-year lawyer for the state, Alan Wilson versus Pamela Evette, who actually got us into this mess, population up 10%, spending up 130%, nothing's changed. If you want to keep that from happening, I I really am the only option right now, and I'm worried about that because, you know, all the stuff that's going on, you know, these these two guys in second tier, they have now gone nuclear with all types of vile personal attacks, splitting Americans, hitting us against each other. You know, it's just it's just horrible what's going on. But the the main thing though is that people can lose sight of the fact that I'm all that stands between an insider and an insider runoff, which would be a disaster for the state.

SPEAKER_04

Rom, I was thinking about, you know, Nick and I have been talking about who we are going to vote for, and we are still on the fence. Um and we know who we don't want to vote for. So if people are listening and they're on the fence, and that's why I really do believe that there's going to be some kind of tele rally with Trump today or with uh Lieutenant Governor uh today or tonight, but you're gonna be in Conway. So people have been able to hear from the Lieutenant Governor for years on this road, which has been coming on here regularly over the years. Um, if they want to hear from you directly, they can go to Conway tonight. So tell us a little bit about that, what people can expect, and um give them something to vote for. Tell us a little bit more about that.

SPEAKER_02

So yeah, we will be at the Crafty Rooster. Sounds like Norman. Crafty Rooster uh to tonight at uh doors open at 5 p.m. So and Conway. So yeah, we'd love to see people. It's all open-ended, it's fun. We we have fun, you know. We uh it's I answer all types of questions, no restrictions. And if you've I think you've been to one of our events, you know what I'm talking about. So so so that's what it is. But here's the setup, though, um Liz. This is a an existential risk to the state. I'll say for two reasons. People need to understand what's going on with the money here. The money is in South Carolina, you're not required to disclose the source donations to these PACs. So these data centers, the trial lawyers, every one of them are doing these anonymous donations to PACs that then support their candidates. And now it used to be at the state level, now it's gone gotten down to mayors, counties. The corruption with this money is incredible. I'm actually going to have a news conference today at 10:30 um uh here in Charleston where we have laid out this thing, and I said, I don't take money. I'm the only person that does not take money, and that's why no one will put forward this legislation we're gonna put forward to completely tear down this dark money in the state. I've actually talked to the legislatures, I've talked to Speaker Smith, and he has committed to me that if I were to win, he will take up this legislation next year and we'll get it passed. But if we should take it up anyway. Yeah, he should. They won't, because guess what? They're all part of it. Look at what's look at the governor's race. Nine million dollars of dark pack money is in it. I think over half of family's money is dark pack money. It's all the same old people, you know? So, so they why would they do it? Because if they did it, they couldn't run a race again. So they won't do it. It's like this this little uh this little thing that keeps going, and that's why nothing is getting done. That's why education hasn't changed, roads haven't changed, median family income hasn't changed. But the deals are for the donors and for the special interests. And I'm telling South Carolina, if we do not change this, we have no hope. There is no hope. And I this is the this is uh a number one priority for us to get changed.

SPEAKER_04

There are a lot of reasons why we can't attract high-paying jobs here. We have a very bad energy situation, we have very low education rates. Um, and we we also, you know, and I I worry about all these things because we'd love to educate our children and get them here to families together, but the home jobs are not here. We're not attracting manufacturing uh um companies because they'll they'll ask their people for hey, we're gonna move our headquarters to South Carolina. You're like, what do you mean the cool stuff there? I don't want to bring my family there and raise them there and energy bills, and I have to pay income tax. I mean, what do we have here to attract people? We don't have an even have a good enough gas line coming into this area to attract businesses.

SPEAKER_02

Well, the biggest thing is we're overcollecting. So we're over-taxed. I mean, as a business, I'm on the other side of this, right? Um, what do we do when we look at a location? We look at net present value, and we say, well, to get to South Carolina, I'm gonna have to pay this tax, and then we say, okay, South Carolina, give me the money up front if you want me to come here. And and that's how you get the $1.3 billion we uh we we paid to Scout Motors. Yeah. So so we we we the the system is broken. South Carolina system is broken. That's why I say you you say you're not decided. Why in the world would you vote for the politicians that got us here? When I buy a business, the first thing I look at is, hey, wait a second. You I you doubled your spending, you got no results, I fire leadership. Now, politics has got to be the only place where we're saying you want to reward and promote them. Tell me one thing these politicians done. I don't care who they are. I mean, yes, it's Pamela, she's done nothing. McMaster has been a disaster. But look at Norman. 20 years in office, what has he done? There's not one single bill that you can he can can be attributed to this all talk. Nancy talks about introducing 65 bills, none passed. In three terms, she renamed the post office in Hilton Head. That's it. That's the only primary responsibility she's done. These people do not know how to govern. We get results. I told people the last time, the last business I had, if you put in one dollar with me in my artificial turb business, when I sold the company in 2023, it would have returned 40 times. 40x. 40 dollars. This is what we say. We we we get results. I will get results for this state. We're gonna get it done, we're gonna fix this state. Ron DeSantis is a great friend of ours. The other day I was talking to him. He said, What is your one big goal? I said, to leave you in the dust, governor.

SPEAKER_04

I have a question for you. Um, who are you going to pick to be your running mate?

SPEAKER_02

Well, that's a that's a great question. So I'll tell you what I'm not gonna do. I'm not gonna do this identity pick. Let's pick someone who's black, true, blue, green, man, woman.

SPEAKER_03

What are you looking for?

SPEAKER_02

We I am looking for someone who can govern. That's the number one. If I get hit by a truck, I want someone who can step in and knows how to get results, not file bills. Number two, and this is a personal thing, Liz, and you don't you don't have to agree with me on this. My entire life, and I said uh my personal beliefs are driven by our Christian faith. I've always followed in God's footsteps. I've never gotten in in front of God. And I felt like God has a plan for all of us. If I am supposed to be governor, I will find that out. And when I find it out, then I do all the stuff downstream of that, like picking lieutenant governors and picking cabinet and all that. I do not want to get in front of God. So let's see what God has in store. And either way, I'm totally fine with whatever he has planned for me.

SPEAKER_04

Well, you know, I was kind of uh complaining about not knowing lieutenant governor picks um on Friday. So convince me why it's not important. I mean, you're saying uh, you know, I want to let it play out as in the primary, but you know, we had this incident with one of the other candidates where when we heard what that lieutenant governor might be, we were like, oh, wait a minute, where are we going down? So um you know, we don't want it to be a surprise.

SPEAKER_02

Correct. Yeah, but but but just think about this. This is what I do. I've I pick CEOs, I develop CEOs. Let me ask you at the presidential level. You think the president picks a vice president ahead of time? No, they pick the president, picks the vice president after he's gotten the nomination to be president, to be the head of the Republican Party. And and so that's that's when you pick the vice president, because that's when you have the best choice. Right now, picking lieutenant governors, you know why do they pick them ahead of time? Because they want to get elected. They pick someone who's maybe uh African American to get the African American vote, or pick someone from the upstate to get the I will not do things to get elected.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

That is a commitment I make to the people. I will not do things to get elected. I like your reason.

SPEAKER_04

I like your reasons.

SPEAKER_02

I will do things to be successful.

SPEAKER_04

I was ready to beat you out, but I really do like your reasons. It makes sense.

SPEAKER_00

Hey Rom, I have to ask you what polls are you following? I mean, you uh everybody's got their internal polls, I get that. But we are seeing radically I mean obscenely radical differences in the polls. If it's coming from Mac's camp, I don't know where she got that one. He's in the lead. If it's coming from Ralph Garman. So I'm just really curious, what are you seeing? Get give us a little glimpse into your internals. What are you seeing?

SPEAKER_02

So so the ones you really need to look at are the are the well-known Republican uh polling firms like Cahili with Trafalgar, uh Signal, who was with the Trump campaign in 2020 and 2024. So the reason you get differences in polls, Nick, is this the the the really good pollsters, the pollsters know what they're doing. They adjust for geography and demographics. 35% of the vote is from the upstate. You have to adjust for that. You have to adjust for demographics, and you have to adjust for most likely Republican voters. If you just go ask people, you'll get every poll. Nancy puts something out, she's asking Democrats, you know. Like, you know, these people put out all these things because they are totally out of it. There's no path for Mace, there's no path for Norman. Uh, you can, you know, you can talk to the reputable ones, the ones who work with Trump, who adjust for demographics, likely Republican voters, and geography. If you don't adjust for those three things, you can poll anything and get any result you want. And it is uh anyone you talk to on a national level or a well-known firm, they're going to tell you it's the race is now split into two tiers. Mace and Norman seem to have topped out at that bottom tier in that 12 to 14% range. And then you've got Wilson, Evette, and myself. Now, Avette was not in that range, by the way. She was she was in the next tier, and uh the Trump endorsement pulled her up into this tier, although she's trying to back up a little bit.

SPEAKER_04

All right, and there's a lot of undecided still. And so uh for those who didn't vote yet, uh, there's a bunch of them listening right now. Uh, I want to give you this time to ask people for your uh for their vote.

SPEAKER_02

So I'm just gonna tell people the reason I got in this is to give you a choice because I don't take money, so I I work for you, not for the donors in special interests. For the first time in our generation, this is this, I am the only candidate that does that. The second is I will get results. Every one of these people has been in office, they have gotten no results. Alan Wilson has been a lawyer for 15 years, he has never governed in his life. Pamela Yvette has tried to govern, and you saw what's what's happened here. And frankly, it's Pamela, Alan, and myself. Norman has been in office for 20 years, he's not in the race anymore. And Mace, I mean, she's uh the most clueless of the lot, and she's completely out of it. She's in last place in almost every thing. So don't waste your vote. The vote is going to be between the the top three tiers, the top three. And if you do not want to set up an insider, Alan, against another insider a vet, I am the only one that stands in the way of that. And and I'm telling you, if you if that happens, if you do an insider versus an insider, the state will not get anywhere like it hasn't for the last ten years. I will get it done. If I don't get it done, I will not run again. That's my that's plain and simple.

SPEAKER_04

So uh Rom Reddy will be in Conway tonight. Doors open at 5 p.m. at the Crafty Rooster on Third Avenue in Conway. Uh the event starts at 5 30 p.m. If you would like to meet Rom Reddy in person, he is the Republican candidate for governor, and the election is tomorrow morning.

SPEAKER_00

Do you have to do pre-register for this event, Rom?

SPEAKER_02

You have to pre-register. It's on our website. But you know what? You can just show up. Just show up. Don't worry about it. We're entrepreneurs. We'll make we make things happen. Don't get into all these procedures and rules and all that. But I'll also tell you if you're going to vote, take four or five people with you. We need to overwhelm the system because the donors and special interests have it rigged. All of them will vote. If we want to win, we got to overwhelm the system. So even if grandma's in a wheelchair, take her over there. They'll bring the thing to grandma. But you got to take three, four, five people with you if you want to overwhelm the system. That's the only way.

SPEAKER_04

Ron Reddy, thank you for giving our listeners your time and consideration. We appreciate that greatly.

SPEAKER_02

And it means if I win, I'll always be on the show. So remember that. You invite me, I'll be on it.

SPEAKER_04

All right. I'll hold you to it.

SPEAKER_00

We're gonna I'm marking the tape right now, sir.

SPEAKER_04

I'll hold you to it. Ron Reddy, thank you so much, R-E-D-D-Y. And what's your website again?

SPEAKER_02

Red D Y forgovernor.com.

SPEAKER_04

All right, thank you so much, and good luck tomorrow.
