SPEAKER_07

It's been three weeks. What the heck? Are you alive? Are you feeling better?

SPEAKER_03

Well, actually, last Thursday, I talked with Nick.

SPEAKER_07

Two Thursdays ago, right? That you were sick?

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, two Thursdays ago. Yeah. I talked with Nick about one of the guitar players he knows Ace Farley and friends and everything. So I made a hook. I think Ace Farley is it? Fraley. Fraley. Okay. We know it. Somebody. It's a guitar player.

SPEAKER_07

It's Magadon's bird. It's Magadon. Come on. It's a Magadon dialect. Yeah, it's me.

SPEAKER_02

Over here. Member of me. Kiss Meets Three's Company.

SPEAKER_03

Ace Farley. Well, anyway. So I told him and they got my hats. And then I sent a bunch out. You got your hats.

SPEAKER_02

Todd Howorth, who is in Fraley's Comet.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, you told me about this. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

A local guy, Tom Grogan.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Was one of my ambassadors.

SPEAKER_07

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_03

And he knows these guys. I guess he used to jam with them or he's a guitar player. Right, local.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And so he called me up and said, hey, I'm going to be up at the blues, and these people are there, and I'm going to give them a hat. What's the blues? The house of blues. House of blues. House of blues. And so I said, okay, I don't know these people. Right. So he he gave me his name and I text him. And he texts me back and he says, uh, everybody can go, you know what, themselves if they don't like Trump. And so here, a guy like me, okay, that likes Frank Sinatra.

SPEAKER_07

That's like music to your ears. Well, yeah, I know.

SPEAKER_03

But the point was me.

SPEAKER_07

That turns Megadon on when you say that.

SPEAKER_03

I love it. But anyway, for me to be involved with somebody like that, it was kind of an odd couple thing. So he and I have been chatting back and forth for a lot of people.

SPEAKER_02

I'm so jealous. I never met this guy.

SPEAKER_03

Well, he's gonna text in. Oh. And he's also gonna try to get um Ace uh not Ace, but Richie.

SPEAKER_02

Richie Scarlet. He's gonna try did meet him.

SPEAKER_03

Well, we're working on getting him a hat. Oh, okay. But so anyway, this is all in the works. And I told him a story about Brad Whitford. Yeah. And he said he can go himself.

SPEAKER_02

Right. Did you tell him that I'm a huge Ace fan? Oh, yeah. He knows all about you. Oh, really? Oh, yeah. I take care of you. Don't worry. Uh so I got Liz. If you're listening here real quick, I want to I just want to drop this real quick.

SPEAKER_07

I got headphones on.

SPEAKER_02

I know, but I don't know. You have time you don't listen to me is my point. Listen to me. Pay attention over here. No, this is Fraley's Comet with Todd Howorth. Yeah. And this is one of the songs that he co-wrote with Ace and actually sang the lead on. And he and Ace, we're gonna play the whole thing, but trade leads on it. It's really cool. But check it out. This is from their first album when they first got together. He's got a great voice. He's played with uh cheap trick and very talented multi-instrumentalist, Top Hoy. Here he is singing. Big time. A lot of people said that when the album was really good. When the album came out, Ace, you know, Fraley's Comet, they were like, whoa, Ace is back and he told you so. And Todd Howarth was a big part of the success.

SPEAKER_06

That's like a really good song.

SPEAKER_02

It's really a good song.

SPEAKER_03

Well, he texted me, he was on his way to New York. Okay. He took a picture. He's in the airport going to uh the Return of the Comet. And then you asked me, Nick, if he was ever gonna be in the area.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I text him back. Because I know they're doing this tour, uh, Return of the Fraley's Comet, I believe. Return of the Comet.

SPEAKER_03

That's it. And so he texted me back. I mean, it was really neat to be able to text somebody like you know in the rock history, you know, whatever. And so he said, This is his last I asked him if you're ever gonna be the House of Blues. I said, I got a guy that that I'm on the radio with, his his his and her show, and I told him about Liz and you, I said, he really loved to meet you. Yeah, and I said he's a really good guitar player, and I sent him a copy of your album. Oh no, oh yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Dizzy laugh wow, that's so cool.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, so he's got he's got that, and he know he knows a lot about you, and I said, You wrote a song for me. And so he said, Oh wow, and I said, Well, you're gonna have to text in some morning, and he said, Well, he would once he gets back. Okay, but this is his last thing with the with the comment. Oh no. He's New York is it, and he's done. He's got a 94-year-old mother that he's gonna go back and take care of in San Diego.

SPEAKER_02

94? That's like a kid to you.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, well. And so anyway, so it was really neat to hook up. That's a cool story. A Frank Sinatra guy like me hooking up with him because of Trump. And that's what's happened to me for 12 years. That is so cool. Met so many great people.

SPEAKER_02

You got room in your book for the uh Ace Furley Todd Howarth connection?

SPEAKER_03

Um, well, I probably I don't know. That's not that's not all that important to probably. What? But maybe I will see. That's huge. I might hook it up with someone.

SPEAKER_07

No, I think you should make a chapter about all the cool people you've met.

SPEAKER_03

Oh god, Liz. Come on.

SPEAKER_07

No, that that should be like here are all the cool people I met, like Liz Callaway, um Nick Summers.

SPEAKER_03

Well, you're already in you guys are already in the book big time anyway.

SPEAKER_07

But no, but I'm saying you've met like a lot of cool people you probably have never would have never met. Oh, if I was living in Connecticut, like maybe say do like uh a David Letterman-esque top ten people.

SPEAKER_02

Wow. And already number one and two are taken up. Liz Callaway at number one, yeah. Todd Howorth at number two, and then Nick at three. No, I figure I'm not even on the list.

SPEAKER_03

Well, I know Brad Whitford isn't gonna be in there with Aerosmith, that's for damn sure.

SPEAKER_07

All right, let's talk two things that are very important with MAGADON. First, let's talk about what do you want to grade President Trump with this whole week that we've been through. Have you been following the news?

SPEAKER_03

I have not been really been following much. What? I was well, I was in Connecticut with my son, and we don't put any news on up there.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, right.

SPEAKER_03

And then for four or five days before that, I was kind of like down, I wasn't feeling all that good. So for almost two weeks, I really haven't been that involved. I haven't really gone anywhere, I haven't gone to any of the any of the stumps or any anything. I just haven't really been myself.

SPEAKER_07

Did you go to the debate?

SPEAKER_03

No. You didn't know that. Oh, yeah, I actually I did go there because I got a phone call. So Don, you gotta show up.

SPEAKER_07

Were you were you hooting and hollering and Jerry Springer?

SPEAKER_03

No, you should know me by now. No.

SPEAKER_07

Did you well how did it sound like when you were?

SPEAKER_03

Did you find out you were the father? Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

It was DNA. Um I mean, it was embarrassing. You did feel that way.

SPEAKER_03

I felt like a piece of you know what. I got up and left early. You did? I walked out and uh I couldn't find my truck. I parked. What there were more than one booger?

SPEAKER_07

Well, no, but the booger blending into the booger backgrounds.

SPEAKER_03

No, what what happened is by the time I got there, there was no parking place anywhere. You've got to walk for a mile. So I pulled in next to this place. It looked like it was a, you know, you could see the um air ducts coming out for a restaurant. So it was probably behind the cafeteria, maybe. I don't know. So I pulled in and there was no sign there. The sign next to me said restaurant or um something catering only or something. Yeah, yeah. And so I said, Well, there's no sign right here, so I should be good. But the whole air, everything else except that one.

SPEAKER_07

Tell me you got towed.

SPEAKER_03

So as I'm getting out of my truck, Sheriff Thompson backs in right next to me.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, then they're safe.

SPEAKER_03

So he said, Don't worry, Don, I have the keys to the jail. I said, Oh, oh, so if we go in, you can get us out.

SPEAKER_06

That is hysterical.

SPEAKER_02

I like Sheriff Thompson.

SPEAKER_06

That's a Sheriff Thompson thing to say.

SPEAKER_02

I like him a lot.

SPEAKER_03

He walked in with me, uh, and then so we were talking, and I just got sidetracked. So when I came in.

SPEAKER_07

You didn't pay attention and leaked breadcrumbs. No.

SPEAKER_03

So I walked around the whole building.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Because I it wasn't that to be somewhere. We had to be close. So when I walked out, it was like there was one or two other people going out. And by the time I walked around the building, now I know they hadn't gone to the third segment yet.

SPEAKER_07

Okay.

SPEAKER_03

It was unloading.

SPEAKER_07

People were leaving.

SPEAKER_03

I bet I bet I saw at least 40, 50, or 60 people, I don't know how many, a lot of people walking out going to their cars.

SPEAKER_07

Out of frustration, you think?

SPEAKER_03

I don't know. I all I heard was everybody was peed off big time.

SPEAKER_07

At the Hootin' and Hollering got a little bit of a little bit of a little bit.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Every every time I didn't like it at all. It was, I gotta tell you.

SPEAKER_07

And then I didn't want to be like a like prude and Debbie Downer, but it was like not cool.

SPEAKER_03

It was not something class. No matter what, I am gonna be so happy. And and I'm I'm as you know, I'm 110% for PM. Somebody aren't, that's fine. But I'm I don't I really want her to win, but on two Wednesday, I'm done with it.

SPEAKER_07

You're done with it, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I I re I wish I could be done with it now.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, Nick and I have been telling, we've been talking about that too. I don't we're over it. I don't we're ready to move on.

SPEAKER_03

I'm loyal and unless we're over it last month. Unless you really do something to hurt me, I'm loyal. So to ask the question about Trump, yeah, and and this is uh circle back.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Um I have learned, and we've talked about this for seven years, we've all learned not to second guess that man, because he's the most brilliant man there is.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

There's something, and when I hear people say he doesn't know how to do this, this is wrong, this is wrong. I mean, I just say these are a bunch of idiots that have no clue in life.

SPEAKER_07

Right.

SPEAKER_03

They had no clue how close I've done.

SPEAKER_07

I mean, he has a he has a pretty good track record.

SPEAKER_03

Pretty good? How many times have we been caught short in the first four or five years?

SPEAKER_07

Five D chess. Yeah, I mean, come on. Uh we know what we know he knows what he's doing, and he knows a lot more than we do about a lot more things than we know.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

And so I'm not worried at all. I feel he's got this. And I just wanted to let everybody know, and I don't know about if you know the Quinterne who's uh eavesdropping off mic, um, The Diary of a CEO is a podcast that is phenomenal, and you should be listening to it as a young person. It's done by a young man named Steve Bartlett from in London. He just had a very extensive interview with Vice President Um JD Vance. I haven't listened to it yet. It just broke. But I listened to his 47-minute um uh press conference, and I played I heavily covered it. I was very impressed with the things he was saying, but I saw a clip of him on that diary of a CEO, and he talks about how Trump operates and how authentic he is and how real of a person and warm and intelligent and all of these things. I mean, you don't get this far not being, you know, I told you what happened to me the first time I met him.

SPEAKER_03

He looked me in the eye. We were told not to reach out and shake his hand. Yeah, and I was nervous because I was like, what else are you gonna do, right?

SPEAKER_07

The first thing you do is shake someone's hand, man to man, right?

SPEAKER_03

We were told not to. I know, I know. Because he's a germaphobe. Anyway, so I come around the corner and we're we're all there, Russell Fry, we're all there, and he he says, uh, and and this is uh Megadon. And so he said, I know who he is, and he reached out. Remember that I told you this. Yeah, and he shook my hand, yeah, and all I could say is I love you. I love you, man. My knees I felt so stupid. Yeah, I just you know, yeah, when you're in that moment, you've done so much like me with a hat, almost six thousand hats now.

SPEAKER_07

When I interviewed him before he came here, I said to him, Mr. Trump, I said, I said, Can I get a selfie with you when I see you? And he goes, I don't know, Melania gets mad when I have a woman go for the selfie with me. And I was laughing. And then I saw him and I said, I said, You promised a selfie. He goes, Yes, I did, and we took a selfie, uh, which was so cool. Back then, selfies were kind of new, kind of coming, yeah, coming up, you know, back in 2016.

SPEAKER_03

But well, back then, yeah, I don't know if I would have been so uh intense, but after doing what I did for six or seven years.

SPEAKER_07

Well, after I met him, that's that's really the point.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Once I met him, it was a different game.

SPEAKER_03

So when I met him for the first time, I've been wanting to do this for so long. Yeah, and and I never cared if I met him again. I just wanted to meet him at once and shake his hand. Yeah. And it was so real. I mean, I couldn't believe I was actually looking at him. Yeah and he knew my name and shook my hand. Yeah. It's like it's crazy. Yeah, but anyway, I I so I'm not gonna second guess him. I'm gonna let the the smart people but you know, you talk about JD Vance. I can remember back when he first came on the scene, you and I had the discussion, and you were really leery of him and you didn't like him at all. Yeah, and it was kind of funny because I I I don't make my mind up like you do. You're you dig into things 10,000. I just kind of go with the flow most of the time.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And I kind of wouldn't wasn't really sure, but I said if Trump picked him, you know, why not? And so I can remember you, you know, you were just Yeah, I wasn't too keen on him.

SPEAKER_07

I'm still on the fence. Really? Okay. Um, you know, I don't I don't know if if he were in a primary, I'm not an automatic Vance. Yeah, no, I I agree. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

But Rubio and him together, I think, I mean, that's I don't know.

SPEAKER_07

They're both roosters. Can't have two roosters in a hen house.

SPEAKER_03

Really?

SPEAKER_07

Nah. I don't know, I could be wrong.

SPEAKER_03

I s I see Rubio as as president and and oh, I would vote for Rubio as pres.

SPEAKER_07

I can't believe I'm saying that because I was like so anti Rubio for so long.

SPEAKER_03

I know, and this is where was I, and now I love the guy. I can remember us all talking about it.

SPEAKER_07

How bad everything was how fast we evolved. I know. Well, he's proven himself, so And that's the point. Yeah, and Vance is uh very loyal, so. All right, we're gonna take a break and we'll be back with Megadon in just a moment. Oh, we gotta play Red Hat Trivia when we come back.

SPEAKER_00

The Liz Callaway Show with Nick Summers is coming back. We are WTKN.

SPEAKER_07

So we got our first named storm of the season, Arthur.

SPEAKER_02

As in B Arthur. Just annoying. It's just annoying, yeah. Wets itself all over the place.

SPEAKER_07

It's just big, ominous. But now we have remnants. Remnants.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I'm not a fan of that one either.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. All right, it is 928 on the Liz Callaway show.

SPEAKER_02

I said at least two of us do.

SPEAKER_07

Bagger Don is here. Back after a vacation. You're in deep doo-doo, Don.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. I'm in deep doo-doo. Yeah. Is that something new or old? I got the booger outside. Should I run it and get it started now? Head out.

SPEAKER_07

Our budget blinds text line number is 843-798-talk 798-8255. It's time to play MAGA hat, MAGADON, Red Hat Trivia. You can win a MAGA clock. So you know what MAGA time it is. You can also win a MAGA hat, sorta.

SPEAKER_03

A Red Hat's America hat. And a pin. A Red Hat's America lapel pin. And a coin? And a coin and a 2025 Trump coin. And what else? And a t-shirt.

SPEAKER_07

A ride in the booger.

SPEAKER_03

A ride in the booger. And a free booger ride.

SPEAKER_07

All right, there you go. Do you know what a booger is? Ask the quintern. You know what a booger is? Go look outside. It's parked. I'll have to find one. It's right out there. It's parked outside. It's the color of booger. That's not green.

SPEAKER_03

Snot green. Come on.

SPEAKER_07

People like that car.

SPEAKER_03

Pick on me. Patty likes my car.

SPEAKER_07

Whatever. Bunch of blind sucks.

SPEAKER_03

I had a bunch this morning.

SPEAKER_02

Come on.

SPEAKER_07

All right. The question is.

SPEAKER_03

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, the third correct answerer.

SPEAKER_03

So last week I didn't make it in because I was in Connecticut for my grandson's graduation. But the question was all around June 14th and Trump's birthday, Army, you know, flag day, Army Day, and everything else. Yeah. So I thought very appropriate to see how smart our listeners are. Because all they have to do is Googling.

SPEAKER_07

They are very smart because they are listening.

SPEAKER_03

They do Googling.

SPEAKER_07

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

What year was our flag officially adopted? It was June 14th.

SPEAKER_07

What year were you officially adopted?

SPEAKER_02

1847. 1647.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. What year was our flag officially adopted?

SPEAKER_03

As our flag.

SPEAKER_07

As our flag.

SPEAKER_03

So it was a 13 colonies. It was 13 colonies.

SPEAKER_07

Did Betsy Ross make it?

SPEAKER_03

I didn't look that part up.

SPEAKER_07

Who made our first flag that was Quintarn? Can you ascertain that information? Our official flag. Was it made by Betsy Ross?

SPEAKER_02

That's a good question.

SPEAKER_07

Who made it? Wasn't she like pictured sewing?

SPEAKER_02

She made the flag.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, she made the flag. But is it the one that was approved? Don't say the year. Don't say the year.

SPEAKER_01

I won't, but it was widely attributed to Francis Hopkinson who designed it, but Betsy Ross is the one who stitched it together. No, Betsy Ross took her up back, beat the crap out of her, and stole the design.

SPEAKER_07

Because America! America! Odds Betsy Ross sewed it.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

That's all she did.

SPEAKER_03

But it was funny how it was described.

SPEAKER_07

Why are we celebrating the sewer and not the person who designed it?

SPEAKER_02

See my previous statement. Because Betsy Ross has a better marketing department.

SPEAKER_07

Apparently. She's the influencer, the flag influencer. She got she had much more pack money.

SPEAKER_03

But it was really funny when you look this stuff up and you try to get it so that you learn all this other stuff.

SPEAKER_07

I already forgot the name of the person.

SPEAKER_02

And funny, Betsy Ross didn't want casinos either. The white horses.

SPEAKER_07

Wait a minute. Quintern, what's the name of the person who designed the original official flag?

SPEAKER_01

It was Francis Hopkinson who helped sign one of the uh one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, Betsy Ross anyway, did a really good idea.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, let's keep it with Betsy Ross. That's all I gotta remember.

SPEAKER_06

We all had this dumbfounded look on our faces.

SPEAKER_03

But the way it was spelled out, it must have 13 alternate stripes. Yeah with red and white. Yeah. And then the 13 colonies had to be in a circle in a white stars in a blue background. Yeah. It was all designed, so that guy designed it probably, and then Betsy Ross sold it together. But it was so interesting to hear how they put that together.

SPEAKER_07

But also each color meant something.

SPEAKER_03

Well, red and white with the stripes, that's it.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, but they mean something, didn't it? Like blood that was poured and white for the purity. Could have been. And the navy and the white. Listen. I think it all means something.

SPEAKER_02

Well, you guys took the uh tangent boat.

SPEAKER_07

Did you get a winner?

SPEAKER_02

No, I only got one guess because now people are all confused.

SPEAKER_07

What's the year?

SPEAKER_02

Thank you. Say it again.

SPEAKER_07

What is the year? It officially became the flag that Betsy Ross sewed in the back room.

SPEAKER_02

After punching that one guy who designed it.

SPEAKER_06

Punched him in the flag maker.

SPEAKER_07

On the way to vote no to casinos. All right, we'll be back in a moment.

SPEAKER_00

The Liz Callaway Show with Nick Summers.

SPEAKER_06

Stand by.

SPEAKER_00

We'll be back in a few.

SPEAKER_06

We are so shiny squirrel. It's so bad. Not only we distracted our squirrels, but shiny ones to boot.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Oh no, no, no. Look, shiny squirrel.

SPEAKER_07

Carolina Home Exteriors.

SPEAKER_02

Shiny flying squirrel.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, we have those too. Carolina Home Exteriors keeps those flying shiny squirrels out of your lanai. I always wanted a lanai.

SPEAKER_02

Um closest ever got was linoleum.

SPEAKER_07

All right, before we get going with our Matahat winner.

SPEAKER_02

Our official Iran update music.

SPEAKER_07

All right, I wanted to tell you, you know, we talked about um JD Vance. Is he going to Switzerland or not? He said he's gonna make a decision because he wanted to see what players were going and what was gonna get accomplished, and when would be the right time for him to go to Switzerland to be part of this. And then Nick, you broke a news story this morning saying there was gunfire or missile fire between.

SPEAKER_02

There was an attack, 18 dead in Lebanon. And also four Israeli IDF soldiers soldiers killed.

SPEAKER_07

So now I don't know what the nature of that attack was, who did what first, but that's what paused the talks between US and Iran. They were called off because of intense fighting between Israel and Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. And I don't know if all the people that were killed. were Hezbollian, I have no idea. Um and so now they were putting everything on edge again.

SPEAKER_02

I know.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Now Israel and the militant group have now since agreed to renew their ceasefire. So now this truce was mediated by Qatar, the US and Iran, the regional officials are saying that three officials were not authorized to make any more comments or um talk about anything else. Hezbollah didn't confirm about this um ceasefire and Israel won't say a word about this so-called truce. But they're saying that Irani officials didn't travel as planned to Switzerland because that fighting in Lebanon needs to stop first.

SPEAKER_02

This has been your Iran update.

SPEAKER_07

By the way China says dawn of peace. Ah interesting and the Pope liked it too. Oh really? Yeah so all the really interesting factors. All right let's get back to Magadon. He's got a few minutes here. Let's announce a winner and then I would like Magadon to stump for his candidate.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. Uh we do have a winner. It was Conway Jack and he needed the correct answer to what Megadon?

SPEAKER_03

What year was our flag, the U.S. flag officially adopted? Now to go with that, Trump was born on June 14, 46. Army was initiated on June 14th in 1775. And our flag was adopted on June 14th 1777.

SPEAKER_02

Yay Conway Our big winner I'm waiting on a t-shirt size and I'll let you know.

SPEAKER_03

All right just saying two weeks I've been away but last week being up in I would like I told you Liz I think on Tuesday I w I wasn't sure I wasn't I was rooting for you. Well thank you thank you very much. I was like you're not going to want to miss this you're going to be so mad yeah I just I wasn't sure and I had and I didn't get insurance on my flight it was five hundred bucks and so I was going to lose that money. So Tuesday Patty and I were talking and she says you know you've got to go and I said well all right so and that's when I told you I was probably going to go but I wasn't sure but I wanted to go and I'd miss Friday. Right. But you know it's really tough to miss two weeks in a row.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah it was like so out of the loop out of the MAGADON loop. I mean like freewheeling over here.

SPEAKER_03

Well I don't I you don't get enough of me I know that but yeah anyway so it was fun um it was a big celebration so now I have my son has two in college 7000 a year each of those two and one more coming. Wow actually 75. So it's uh 1500 a year for the next three years for my son.

SPEAKER_07

Oh my gosh that's crazy.

SPEAKER_03

And his they're all gonna come out debt free.

SPEAKER_07

That's great.

SPEAKER_03

Him and my my son very lucky my son yeah and they're working their butts off to make sure this happens but they're all A students and they're all extremely good in in sports. What is he studying? Uh business well the one in in college right now second year is business finance just like my son.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. And Jackson's going to be business finance too okay yeah that's interesting that's what my cousin's kid did and their father is a a finance guy. Yeah well and it's bankrolling everything.

SPEAKER_03

Alex Alex is the oldest yeah and uh he's in this second year now of college and he wants to be in financial planning and his people that he listens to the dean of students and the president of the college from what I understand they're telling him that is a major big money job.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. I guess after you build up your client my my fifth career I'll get into financial way. Because you know Andy Hazel over at Edward Jones and we didn't hear from him today because of Juneteenth and I'm out there waiting in in the car to listen to the jokes and the intern comes out and says they're waiting for you and I said nobody's done any jokes yet. Right that's right but here's the thing the thing is is um he has saved um my future you know when you get the right person in place I mean you really I'm watching the money grow it gets you excited. I'm at you know you people are get addicted to gambling we were talking about that earlier and it's like you get all this risk and hardly any reward at all. And I'm thinking to myself I love putting my money and in the right proper risk and the bad in a certain thing that you didn't like yes yes I got rid of that and I've already tripled my money since you and I talked about that that was a bad move. That was a bad move. Yeah I remember I said I had the wrong advice advice from an individual that wanted to sell me something yeah that's they make money on that it was the worst thing he could have done for me. It set me back. They tried to get Patty in that a few years ago and I said absolutely not and then I told her that not that long ago that you were in it and she's oh no that's not good and I said I'm sure she's gonna try to get out of it yeah so Andy got me out of it and Andy's a good man I made so much money beyond the money but I still am catching up. And he's Raymond James no he is Edward Jones Edward Jones Edward Jones um and uh he's right in there in barefoot but uh it's been calming calming and I'm trying to get my son to just I said listen stop complaining about money all you got to do is put rubber to the road when you get disciplined it's unbelievable the difference it really is and and I took I've always been in real estate buying and selling and and that's another way to invest.

SPEAKER_03

That's been where I made all my money yeah other than whatever you have but real estate and once I've kind of halfway retired and moved down here the hardest thing for me to ever do in my life was put my money into a financial guy.

SPEAKER_07

Trust somebody yeah I just that's a I said yeah I know what I'm doing real estate I can make money and I always have I always did very well yeah but this is the first time it's out of my hand and that's why Trump's doing those Trump accounts because he they they know the value of investing early in life you know all right I don't want to run out of time here I want to you to wait I got a joke for Don because he missed his joke.

SPEAKER_02

It's good then he has a chance yeah he can do it. What do you call a bunny who was raised in a hotel bedhopper?

SPEAKER_07

Nope oh an ingrown hare oh that brings me back to my 22 ends by the way um the storm has cleared out and we have an all clear for beautiful weather for the weekend. All right so early voting is over one more election day and then we're gonna know who governor who the governor is the elected 23rd. Yeah yeah we're gonna know who the governor is going to be and that's it and then we move on um this has really divided uh camps locally and people are just vicious and really whatever um but there there's um all sorts of um uh you know what do we have uh commissioner of agriculture we're gonna be uh interviewing Danny Lee Ford on Monday uh maybe Mike Rickenbach the lieutenant governor candidate for Wilson um but Pam Evant chose not to come on the air with us and uh we also got her very long shortlist of and I was shocked Adam Morgan's on there like sh totally shocked not shocked Tyler servant or did you send me that yes okay I said you and I said how come you're not on the long shortlist I know I said well you know I I everybody has their own feelings and and I've tried to put that very clear on my post.

SPEAKER_03

I mean I get people You post a lot I but I but it's usually pretty accurate and it's never negative I mean it's it's never nasty. I mean it's just maybe sometimes you know a uh I I do a lot of opposition research and I read and I stuff but I put stuff out and if anybody ever calls me out and they can prove I'm wrong I'll I'll take it down. But there are so many nasty people like I walked out of the debate because it was so nasty in there. Yeah I said I'm not here for this I mean I left I got out of the HCGOP because of drama and fighting and stuff. I didn't want that I'm not in it for that yeah and and I I understand how people have different opinions but for me I go back with Pam from the day she got my hat when she was first running with with Henry and she's been to almost every one of the meetings I've had for red hats and to me I'm Italian I'm I'm loyal and until they do something hurt me and you can find I mean if you want to come up with something you can come up with something negative about anybody and I just don't do that. I kind of stay with my own thing and you wanted me to stump for we're doing a big thing at the beaver bar on Saturday. And uh that's a great place. And and with they're gonna be Jason wet uh Welch is going to be singing great Chris Cox is from Biker Trump's gonna be there. He moved in asked me to help him Welch is a great artist. Yeah and so we're we're doing this big thing at at the beaver bar Saturday at two o'clock and it's just you know everybody as far as I'm concerned everybody should stump for who they believe in. And if they keep it honest and they don't lie about it and but and most everything I see online is speculative. What if he or she or what if they there's so many questions that I have and you research everything. I mean we've said that I've said that to you for seven years.

SPEAKER_07

I take people at face value. I mean basically I've had plenty of conversations with lieutenant governor and I've also saw things that both sides said and and Alan Wilson was not my first choice. But I like Mike Rickenbach I do and um that's a that's a huge piece and a lot of people were taking issue that uh she did not pick a lieutenant governor so she came out and said definitively because there were rumors again that she might pick Henry Jr. And now she came out he's not gonna be it here's what one of these nine people are going to be it.

SPEAKER_03

But she said early on and I I've talked to her a lot and I've talked to her husband Dave right from the very beginning she said I'm running on my own. They either elect me or not my adjourney but people want to know but they don't have that big of a job list so why?

SPEAKER_07

Because if something happens to the governor that person's gonna be governed but and they're either a team or they're not so I'd like to know who the team is.

SPEAKER_02

And it's an indication of their leadership style who they select.

SPEAKER_03

I mean you can understand the point each way. I mean of course I I support Pam so when she said she wasn't gonna pick somebody I'm supporting and and you're right I guess we should have thought that would Vance too you know I mean but look at he picked who we thought was going to be best for him and and like Henry picked her because a business person and he she was going to support him and be loyal. And you can't be number one and not have a loyal number two. Of course and so lots of things Pam has been criticized for as far as I'm concerned is just because she's been loyal and she's not one of those that want to go out and start a fight. She'd just rather just kind of keep it but I think as a business person but why are you voting for her? Because number one I voted for Trump because he's a business person. First one to ever come on the scene and you and I have talked about it. Pam is is really the only business person there. So parallel Trump and her as a business person that was one of my biggest things that made me think why not Ron Reddy? Why not Ralph Norman? Well Ralph Norman really wasn't business his business came to him through his father. Oh I mean she started it from scratch I mean again we could sit here and argue for no but I'm just saying that's not the only reason why no but that because there were other business people in there. Every time we've had some kind of an e an event red hats for Trump she's always been there. She's gone out of her way to be there for me over and over so it's a loyalty loyalty. Loyalty to me means a lot.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. All right well Orie County came up with 50% of the vote for her here locally um in Orie County but in the in the state she only pulled out 28% and and and but that means 70% did not vote for her.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah but look at Wilson he only got 20 well he only got 26.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah but she can say the same thing either way she was the one with the Trump kiss.

SPEAKER_03

But she got well but the thing with with Henry Jr. Now I was told by somebody that knows Alan actually asked Henry Jr. if he would be his running mate now that can be proven but I was told that by somebody that knows the fact this is somebody that knows facts.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah and so I don't think I'll get a chance to ask Alan that but well I'm I'm just saying that last last second we'll get one second.

SPEAKER_03
