607 on the Liz Callaway Show with Nick Summers. Well, actually, he's not here, but the Quintern and Glenn are.

SPEAKER_05

Hello.

SPEAKER_03

All right. It is Monday, June 22nd. Hope you all had a wonderful Father's Day weekend. I think the weather cooperated.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it was quite nice. It was beautiful at the beach yesterday.

SPEAKER_03

We had a very uh lively conversation this morning moments before going on the air.

SPEAKER_02

That's true.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. And one of them was um missing our dads, right, Glenn? Yeah. Glenn, you lost is this your first Father's Day?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's uh first uh it was the first Mother's Day without mom, but no uh uh dad's right been uh this I believe was the second Father's Day without dad, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, and uh you know it's uh it's a great time to reflect on what it means to to and you know what you are a dad, so it's kind of like well I'm like the biggest dad I've ever been now.

SPEAKER_01

You know, and I kept saying yesterday. Oh in in church yesterday um I I came up with it's it's been life's greatest adventure being a dad. You know, I can't think of anything else that uh and and dad point 2.0. Yeah, and then moving her getting her f here from Maryland was like the greatest accomplishment of my life.

SPEAKER_03

How old is she?

SPEAKER_01

Uh 39.

SPEAKER_03

Okay. So my son is going to be thirty one um this um October. So being a dad when your kid is older, in their thirties, is a different different version. Sure. You have to be your d different version. So um so Quintern, what did you do with your dad? What did he want uh to do?

SPEAKER_02

All he wanted was for us to just spend a bit of time together. But so all of us just went out to the street.

SPEAKER_03

You have a sibling?

SPEAKER_02

Yes, I have a younger sister.

SPEAKER_03

You do?

SPEAKER_02

So me, her, my mom, and my dad all just went out, uh went to the gym together for a little bit and then came back home, had a bit of lunch or a bit of dinner, and watched a movie together.

SPEAKER_03

So he wanted you all to just be unplugged and together.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, pretty much. It was just spending a bit of time together.

SPEAKER_03

You know, I want to tell you some great news.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

So yesterday, um, I've been working on this for like six months. So I've been toying with the idea of getting a pla little place in Florida for my my I want my son to buy something. So I was like, you know what, Nick, maybe if you buy, and he's like, I don't want a whole house. Oh god, I'd rather have a town home. And I said, Well, if you get a town home, whatever it is, get it with three bedrooms. So I'll help you buy it, but then I can come stay. You know, like that would be the deal. You know what I mean? I'll buy a room in it. And that way when I come and stay, I could broadcast live from there, because um the boss said I could do that. So I can see my kid, you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Um, and he's like ten, nine, ten hours away with traffic and everything. And so I was like, I'm not getting to see him enough. And if I have to Airbnb or just stay a weekend, but at least if I come, I could bring the dogs, I could stay in the house, you know what I'm saying? For like a week, and then I don't have to worry about it. Anyway, um total 180. They're moving back.

SPEAKER_01

Oh.

SPEAKER_03

He's gonna move to Myrtle because I was telling him, wow, Nick, it is really super expensive. You can't retire in Florida anymore. You cannot retire. It is so expensive. Insurance, property tax. Um, if you buy a home that was built, I think, past 2014, you have to pay an an added tax of three to five thousand dollars extra per year uh called a C D D fee, community development uh I forget what the other D is, dumb. Um and what it is is um you have to pay the impact your development had as on the community, and you have to pay that for 30 years. And then after that, they lower it a little because they have to now maintain all the infrastructure they built around the community. So it is just impossible to retire in Florida. I mean, people say, oh, it's no state state income tax, you know, you don't have to. That's not a lot of money, honestly, when you compare it to all the other things you have to pay.

SPEAKER_02

It's a very young, I think, kind of doomer-ish mentality to get into, but it's really it feels like it's getting harder to retire just about anywhere. Especially because you know, you're looking at the way house prices are rising, and it's like, yeah, I mean I mean, even coming here, it's better because he's gonna have you, his family, exactly. And everything like that.

SPEAKER_03

That's a big that's what she was saying because her family it he lives with his girlfriend. Uh they have both have good jobs, but um she her family lives in Charlotte.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And that's even further, right? And so I said, Listen, if you move to Myrtle, no one wants to live in Charlotte. No, then nobody wants to live in Charlotte. Um so I said, if you move to Myrtle, and I was pointing them in the Little River neighborhood, that's really nice. Um, because he didn't want to live anywhere near traffic. He wants to be where it's like not as busy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, right.

SPEAKER_03

So I was like, you know, hey, there's a really nice neighborhood in Little River. Um, and so just just kind of showing him what's out there. And she said, you know what? She's like, you know, you're really right. Because we just spent um we just spent uh Mother's Day weekend with them in St. Petersburg. And I said, I said, you know, isn't it nice to be together as family making memories? We're not making any new memories, everybody's all spread out, you know, and so she's like, You're right, and you know, my parents are getting older and we just want to be together, and it's such an uh effort to be together. So they told me yesterday, I I almost fell off the chair that they're both on board with moving back, and their lease is up in December. So they kind of gave that time frame. So I said, Well, come in July, come for the week, because you're gonna need like a month to find the house, three months to close, you need time to move, you know, and then you know, you and her parents live in Charlotte? They live in Charlotte.

SPEAKER_01

And then do they have any pets?

SPEAKER_03

They have a cat.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay. Well, um, I mean, there's a lot of options for them. I mean, even if he doesn't uh can't afford a single family home or uh even a townhouse, yeah. But maybe you know, I I quite honestly like the uh thinking about living closer to the beach, you know, a couple blocks away in one of those condos there.

SPEAKER_03

Um the thing with the condos the fees, HOA fees are astronomical, yeah, and then you have to worry about those assessments because I never knew about assessments until I looked at a condo on the ocean and I was looking at it for as an investment property. This was like eight years ago, and they said there's a ninety-five thousand dollar assessment on this, but when they sell it to you, they will pay that. I was like, what's a ninety-five thousand dollars? Oh, they're gonna redo the facade on the building. I was like, no, no, no, no. I was like, how do people pay that? Oh, they just add it to your mortgage. I'm like, no, I'm not doing that.

SPEAKER_02

When I was like, I wasn't just tacked on.

SPEAKER_03

No, it's not.

SPEAKER_01

When I was living on uh or looking to buy a home on Kent Island in Maryland before I bought mine, I went to a uh it like it's almost like a resort area, but they're town homes, basically, right? And I went to look at a property that was affordable. And then they told me that there was a $13,000, I believe, uh assessment that you had to pay at settlement for this. And I was like, what's the assessment for? And they said it's for the marina. And I'm like, what if I don't have a boat at the marina? Oh no, everybody has to pay it. So if they need to replace the roof, everybody pays, you know. Anything that needs to be done. Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

You're writing a check that they can put anything, any amount on. That's basically what you're doing. That's a time spare.

SPEAKER_03

And that's why we found a little house. I think he can afford up to 300. Okay. Um, and uh they I they and that's just on his salary.

SPEAKER_01

That's doable.

SPEAKER_03

Um, and I found adorable homes. Um, and I know a lot about buying homes. You know, I know what you know, when you own a few homes, you know the pitfalls, you know what to look for. And so I was like, listen, I'm gonna help you make a very educated decision. You can pick whatever home you want, but I'm just gonna like be there. And my dad did that for me.

SPEAKER_04

Right.

SPEAKER_03

When we bought, we went to many homes on Long Island, and we finally I found this one home that was for sale by owner. I went inside, my my dad took a tour and he sat down and he goes, I only have one problem with this home, he told the homeowners. And she's like, Well, what, sir? And she said, I can't understand why the hell you would ever want to move from here. This is the most beautiful home. It's made well. So I I was like, oh gosh. My cause because you know, my dad was helping us buy it. And by doing that, we were able to move, we were able to come up with the closing costs and all that, and he helped us. And um, because of that, you know, we made a great investment. And he steered us away from nope, not this one. Nope, I can see what you really do learn a lot from your dad when you're making those big purchases, you know. So um, but I would make one recommendation to you. Yeah. And your dad probably already said it to you.

SPEAKER_02

Almost certainly, but go on.

SPEAKER_03

Um, first of all, Quintern, I think you're an amazing young man.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, thank you very much.

SPEAKER_03

I really do. I I think you have a great heart. I think you got wonderful personality. People would be so blessed to have you as an employee. But I don't want you to sell yourself short. I want you to start really focusing on your what you want to do for a career and lockdown.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, what do you want to do for a career? I don't know. I don't see I don't know enough about you. Because I we this first time we've been on the air together.

SPEAKER_02

Um acting and writing, pretty much. I mean, that's the big thing when it comes to stage or screenwriting. But I love just uh performance, entertainment.

SPEAKER_03

I mean, obviously, now a lot of us do, but a lot of us do that on the side until the big break. And then you have to have like a really good income to support your habit of your creativity. But you can find a job that puts all of that together, that would be amazing. But I'm just gonna say this you gotta get with someone like Andy Hazel of Ever Jones and start a proper career.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

No, start saving and start thinking big picture. Because that's what I said to my son. I was like, listen, dude, you're gonna be 31 and you don't own a home. That is like you're gonna work for the rest of your life. That's where I'm at right now.

SPEAKER_02

No, that is that's the big turning point. I think a lot of people are at that turning point in my age age.

SPEAKER_03

What's that?

SPEAKER_02

Um pretty much just realizing things are not gonna get any easier. That's right. It's not a thing of like, oh, you know, I've had my fun, it's no doom and gloom. Uh no, I think it's spurned on by the doom and gloom of it all. I think a lot of people are realizing things are not gonna get cheaper anytime sooner. People are not gonna want to start paying you more anytime sooner. That's right. Job markets and shambles. So with whatever job you're holding on to or whatever field you want to go into, you just need to uh uh bite the bullet and save as much as you can, you know. And I'll tell you this which is a sorry, you go.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, no, I was just gonna say the most valuable thing that employers have are people like you. Because people like you who are showing up on time, doing working hard, like coming with the goods, those people they'll pay those people. It's just that employers have been burned so many times that it's hard to pay people a lot when they first start. So you have to pay your dues, quote unquote. We all did, right, Glenn? I paid my dues. Um, and you know, and then all of a sudden all of your hard work's gonna pay off because no employer is gonna want to let you go. And my dad was always like, listen, he's like, just be the best employee they ever had, and that they could never live without you. They will they sit think, how did we ever do this without you? Meanwhile, they've built a huge business without you, but you come along and you take it to the next level, they can't live without you, they feel everybody can live without you, right? But they feel so much better with you in it. And that's the only way, that's the only mentality you can go into work with is I'm gonna make this place like they they can't understand how they got this far without me.

SPEAKER_02

But also, uh, I think even then, uh, having you know, someone builds up a business, they never really do it on their own. They were built by people that they couldn't have lived without. Yeah, and you're just a new person in that long line of people that they need to keep their business going.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. So I don't want you to sell yourself short. I'm gonna give you fatherly advice. I want you to start um talking to Andy Hazel of Ebra Jones because he has put my life totally on a path. I have a trajectory, I have a plan. I've never had that before. Yeah. You know what I mean? And now I have traction. And and I did it because I was trying to be more responsible with my mother's money.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but you were spending quite a bit of money a few years ago. Restaurant. Restaurant, all kinds of things.

SPEAKER_03

Money was falling out of my every orifice I had to DM her about that.

SPEAKER_01

But but Quintern, I um I spent 35 years in a career. Yeah. And I kind of thought when I left, how are they gonna do it without me? Of course they can do it without you. But I treated the I treated every unit like it was my own. I always that was that was what made me who I was because I took responsibility for the whole place and I I treated it like it was my business.

SPEAKER_03

But but can I say something about you?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Because Glenn is an amazing person through and through.

SPEAKER_01

Totally amazing.

SPEAKER_03

No, he really is. He really is. I mean, how many people have I tried to set you up with?

SPEAKER_01

A couple. Yeah, exactly.

SPEAKER_03

Because I I wouldn't do that unless I thought he was amazing. But the thing is, Glenn, you always had a dream.

SPEAKER_01

True.

SPEAKER_03

And a creative dream.

SPEAKER_01

True.

SPEAKER_03

So tell him how that fit in. Because he has a dream of performing just like I do, just like Nick does, just like you do. We all are performers.

SPEAKER_01

I grew up a professional magician, so I was on stage. I was that's awesome. I was doing big shows, you know, and then and then honestly, I everybody thought when I left school, you're going into radio or TV. I did all the morning announcements in high school. I had MC'd shows, we did magic shows in high school, and um I'm lucky that I got a real job and didn't go into broadcasting. Although in the DC area where I was living, who knows? It might have paid off more uh substantially more a higher income being in broadcasting in the you know metro area there. But you know, it all worked out and then at late. Late on late in life, I won a scholarship, uh the Jim McKay Broadcasting Scholarship after he passed away. First national winner. They sent me to Radio TV broadcasting school for free. And the day I I got I graduated is the day I got hired by Westwood One, and then that's what all kind of began it. And then I started my own business too, somewhere in there, 21 years now.

SPEAKER_03

And now his daughter is living here. He was able to buy, help her buy a house, and she's now working in the business big time.

SPEAKER_01

And we're the best of the Grand Strand brother for 2026.

SPEAKER_03

So when you when you see how that all works out, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

You know, and and I keep saying it's never too late. God doesn't promise you in the Bible that um uh it you can do he doesn't like exactly say it's never too late, but he does say that you know, whenever you're ready, whenever you do, that he he'll support you, and that that's what life's all about is making your dreams and what you want, you know, come true. And he's the support. And I mean, gosh, honestly, without without believing in God, I don't know where I'd be right now.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, that's the other thing. And that's kind of full circle too, because you know, in the beginning of your life when you were a child, it's like imposed on you, right?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah. We went to church Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday night.

SPEAKER_03

And when I had my son, that was a religious spiritual experience for me. It was like a light bulb went on my uh off in my head, having a child, literally having the child was like I was so shocked what happened, like pregnancy, giving birth, having this little baby, like this little b. I just couldn't understand, I was like blew my mind. I went to church like every morning at 9 a.m. I was at church with this infant. Um, and I just because I was just so thankful, I just couldn't believe it. And then I got so involved in the church and everything, and uh uh, you know, grew them up in the church and all that. And you know, you see the kids like, are they really going to church? Uh no. I mean, she drags them to church sometimes, but it will come full circle, you know, because God's always there and he's always a rock. Um, and that's really what you need to. You're the one who wanders away. You know, because people say, Where did God left me? God left me. No, he didn't.

SPEAKER_01

When I left my career, I was not sure. I thought I had a decent plan, but you don't know how things are gonna work out. Plus, you're moving 500 miles away. Um, and it's all worked out better than I could have ever imagined. Yeah. So you know I I don't ever miss my career, but I dream about it once in a while. Boy oh boy, do I dream about my whole career.

SPEAKER_03

In a good way.

SPEAKER_01

Not necessarily. I mean, some of it's part of your fabric.

SPEAKER_03

It's part of your fabric. It really is. Javier and I say all the time, and I say, Oh man, I wish I'd never done that in my life, or didn't that. And then he said, But if you would have changed one thing, we would have never met. Yeah. And I said, Oh my gosh, you're right. Because if I didn't do this, that wouldn't have happened. If that didn't happen, then this wouldn't happen. I was like, oh my gosh, he goes, if you would have changed one thing, I was like, Wow.

SPEAKER_01

And Gwinter and I saw it from the very beginning. They were they were sitting on the couch a little close to each other. I was in their I was in Liz's house. And they were they were like a little snuggly up and then she's comes to me. Yeah, but you got you're like, hey Glenn, we're gonna go out for a little while. Can you just lock up when you leave? I was like, sure. We're going out. And you did. You went to some restaurant or something out to have some fun, and I could see it blooming. And then I got to go to their wedding and everything.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, see that? Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I was having that thought just the other day because uh I had mentioned it, but I'm going on my five-year anniversary trip soon, and I was like, it's been five years. Yeah, it's been a half a decade.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

It's been a fifth of my life.

SPEAKER_03

He's gotta put a ring on it. And I don't mean an engagement ring, but a promise ring.

SPEAKER_02

Promise ring.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. He needs to put a promise ring on it.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

You gotta think about that.

SPEAKER_02

I know. I know we gotta. You want to take a break? I've been thinking.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

You've been thinking?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I'm thinking about taking a break.

SPEAKER_03

Thank you, Quintern. Thanks for the segue. We'll be back in a moment.

SPEAKER_00

Great shot. It's Jonathan. Jonathan's yellowhand structure conversation. This is your home for conservative talk. And the Liz Calibrat with Nick Summer. Liz and Nick are standing by. I got two things playing with you.

SPEAKER_01

Two things playing with you. Yeah, but then Quinton, this is something you don't do. Uh-huh. Yeah. Quintern. Quint. Not Quintin. I'm gonna be Quentin.

SPEAKER_03

I've called him Quintin before, too. It's true. I knew a Quintin. Yeah. What did you want to play for?

SPEAKER_01

Um, what?

SPEAKER_03

You're playing something, two things. Yeah, I am playing two things.

SPEAKER_02

Like it's it's just quiet enough that I feel like I'm going crazy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I don't know where that other thing's coming from. I'll find it though.

SPEAKER_03

So, Quintern, you said something to me um earlier that uh really struck me, and you were like the doom and gloom of it all. So, what are some of the kids saying, and I call you a kid, but you're in your twenties. What are some of the people saying about the ec the economy that you know you feel like you're up against a wall here?

SPEAKER_02

It's pretty much just been a lot of people pointing out the very obvious fact that like wages are stagnating, prices are still continuing to go up in just about every facet of everything. You have a lot of companies who are becoming more uh the line must go up, I think. And because of that, everything needs to not only be optimized, but find a way to make more money all the time, constantly have that uh infinite growth, and that mindset is I think not realistic because that's not how anything works in the natural world. Things will begin to plateau with their growth, but you need as much money as you can. That's gone into politics. I think the infinite growth and wealth accumulation mindset is something that doesn't benefit the majority of people. And unfortunately, I think that's just causing um you to have a lot less money if you're younger. And obviously there's Like poor financial decisions that play. Oh, yeah, of course. Yeah. Because I God knows how many people I've met that I know are like, well, okay, you don't you don't need to get a new like wrap on your car if you're trying to save money, yeah, or anything like that.

SPEAKER_03

Well, I'll t I'll tell you this in answer to your friends and their um I guess uh frame of reference. Yeah. Okay. From your like group of friends in generation. It is um when they're focusing on on these types of things, what happens is that that actually makes you feel like you're a victim of your circumstances, right? Because it's like, oh, how am I ever gonna get ahead? These rich um company owners, all they want to do is make themselves richer, off our backs, type of concept, right? Prices are going up. How am I ever gonna pay this and gas? And I have to try. So what I would say is to people like that, thinking like that, because there are adults that think like that too, is you got to put all of that out of your mind because that mindset actually thwarts your ambition. So it kills your ambition when you feel like you're never going to achieve. So you need to literally work on, I would tell them, to remove all of that from their minds and actually just focus on doing the best job you can possibly do. There's some things that I would that I would do. And Glenn, you've been through this as well, right?

SPEAKER_05

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_03

Um, is you know, you have your education, you want to make sure you stay healthy, right? So you do your health checks. I do my health checks. You want to, because health is your wealth. You want to have excellent relationships with your family and whomever you decide to share your life with. You want to work on those relationships, work on your spirituality, mind, body, right? All of it is all connected, mind, body, and soul. Um, but also don't think that you have anything, like, don't care about the price of house and don't care about the price of the interest rates, and don't care about any of those things, how much the business owner is making. I don't think about how much the owners are making of my company. What I what I love is that they love what I'm doing. That's the most important thing to me because when I'm making them money, I make money. It the it you know, success it it rises all boats, right? That's what they always say. Um, and so just focus on what you're doing, keep your eyes on your own paper and and just forge ahead to be the best, you know, son, husband, boyfriend, worker, you know, whatever it is that you want to be, performer, as healthy as you could be, all of these things. And just focus on that. When you focus on good things, you manifest goodness.

SPEAKER_02

See, that's another interesting point too, though, because you're talking about uh rising tide brings all the ships up along with it. I think what a lot of people, again, of my generation, the problem that we have is that the tide is only picking up a few boats now.

SPEAKER_03

They're telling you that. It's a lie.

SPEAKER_02

Who?

SPEAKER_03

The forces at B. Where are they getting that idea? Where are they getting those ideas?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Where are they getting those ideas from? You're being fed by social media, by the news, by all these things. That is not true.

SPEAKER_01

You have button.

SPEAKER_03

I can tell you from personal experience.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I think today's group has bigger opportunities than I do.

SPEAKER_03

They want to keep you down.

SPEAKER_01

But who is they?

SPEAKER_03

The forces.

SPEAKER_01

Who are the forces? The universe.

SPEAKER_03

The universe. Not even the universe. It's the the media universe. The people in power want you to think that you cannot achieve it.

SPEAKER_01

And that you can't do it on your own that you have to have the help of the government.

SPEAKER_02

I think a lot of the doom, though. I don't think it's coming from somewhere. I don't know.

SPEAKER_03

It's coming from somewhere. You have to think about where are those thoughts coming from.

SPEAKER_02

I think it's coming from people. I think a lot of the people I meet in my day-to-day life having this thing.

SPEAKER_03

Who's feeding those people? See that cell phone? That's a chip in your head. You can't go anywhere without that phone. They are feeding you false information nonstop, making you thinking less of yourself. If you think less of yourself. I don't think less of myself. Yeah, I'm not saying you. I'm not talking about you. I say you, but you know what I'm saying. They want you to think less of yourself, less of your abilities, because that helps them control you.

SPEAKER_02

But that's kind of what I mean. I know people who have not even gone into artistic careers, who have gone into college for whether it be business or uh pre-med, anything along those lines, are finding it harder and harder to even get work in those fields that are truly professionals.

SPEAKER_03

Well, they're not working on it every day. But I mean If you worked on it every day, do you think when I came out of college that I would ever think that I would have a position on a morning show, which is the most coveted time slot in radio on my own as a woman, as a conservative Christian woman, would ever be the lead on a morning show?

SPEAKER_05

No.

SPEAKER_03

No. I never thought that in a million years. But I worked on it and I took a mommy detour. It took a lot of time off. It took 17 years off to raise my children. But I always kept my fingers in the pie, you know, and I always tried, I was doing things in other businesses to keep that performance in me. I'm performing every single day here. This is performance.

SPEAKER_01

That's why they call it a show.

SPEAKER_03

And so what I'm saying to you is if you focus, not you, people collective you, if you focus on all the negativity, and I just want you to be aware of it. There's a there's a great documentary called The Social Dilemma. It's fantastic. You realize how all those social media apps on your phone, this is a chip in your brain, like the Kingsman, okay? It's gonna one day blow up in the brain. Um, if you keep focusing on what they're telling you and not have an independent thought in your head about how great life is, go look at the sun rays, put your feet in the sand, go enjoy everything that's been gifted to you, you will always see doom and gloom, and you will always keep yourself in a box. And that is the difference. That is the difference in life. And that's why some people become depressed, they become turned inward, and they're not focused on the beauty of that life is. America is the most amazing country in the entire world. You can people are coming here and they're like uh women can walk freely on the street without the fear of being raped and dragged. Right. That that's what they were saying, right? She's like, I can't believe I'm walking in the street.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Um, this is the most amazing country in the world. You can have anything you want. Do you believe that?

SPEAKER_02

No. That is phone?

SPEAKER_03

That's the phone telling you you cannot have everything you want.

SPEAKER_02

What I was about to say too, though, is I think a lot of it is not becoming helpless anymore. I think there is a period where people are like, there's nothing I can do. But I think the rubber band is being pulled too far and it's gonna snap. And I think you see that with a lot of people, younger people, they want just getting more politically active, getting more than the other. Politics is not the answer.

SPEAKER_03

Politics is not the answer. You live in America, you have divine rights given by God. Government will never save you. Politics is a garbage cesspool.

SPEAKER_02

Look at government's never gonna save, but I think the thing is people are m trying to mitigate the fact that government can hurt. And that is the biggest, I think a huge concern among a lot of younger people these days, conservative or not. I've worked with a lot of conservative people.

SPEAKER_03

I know what they're thinking. I know what they're thinking. Your thinking is not right.

SPEAKER_01

It's a mindset thing. Look, I went to school. How old was I? 50 years old when I went to school? You know, I mean, I'd I just never had let go of my dream, and I decided to pursue it.

SPEAKER_03

And you know, they're selling you a bill of goods. And you know what? This is as as age-old as you know, yellow journalism, Batmuth, Ben Franklin. This is a lie that they're selling you. It's a lie. I'm just telling you, it's a gift I'm giving you today. Don't believe the lie. Don't believe the lie. You have so much potential, you have no idea what your potential is. And when you get with a mentor that's going to say, Quintern, I if I had a business, I'd hire you like that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

I would hire you in a second.

SPEAKER_02

You should start a business then, so you can hire me like that.

SPEAKER_03

Seriously, I would hire you in a second. Because you know what I see about you? What I see about you is you are very plugged in and you're listening and you are you're thinking all the time. That's what people want. People want people who think for themselves. Whether you're thinking the same thing I'm thinking or not, I don't care. But I'm saying, hey, listen, the world is your oyster. You ever hear of that freeze?

SPEAKER_05

Yes.

SPEAKER_03

It is. The world is your oyster. And there's a pearl for every nut. I'm telling you right now, you can go out there and get whatever you want. It is an amazing opportunity. And just keep telling yourself that every single morning. What am I gonna get today? What am I gonna get today? What am I gonna give today? And the more you give of yourself and the more you work on it, the more the flow of energy comes back to you. And that's that I think is the most important lesson that kids are not learning today. They're learning how government and bosses and you know, social media and all this dark, dark energy. You don't have to think like that. There's some great business owners out there that are looking to mentor people just like you. And by the way, Quintern is available for hire for full-time. And I would love, I would have no problem giving you over to someone who's going to mold you. And um, and you know what? You know what?

SPEAKER_02

Um treating like a kid into a top.

SPEAKER_03

No, I'm telling you, I'm telling you this, I'm gonna tell you this, it's very important. Um, when you love to perform and act and and and do that, there are so many jobs that take that in, especially what sales. You can make the most money in selling something you love, whatever it is, and do your art on the side. Do your art on the side because you know what your art does for you? It feeds your soul because you have to express. Okay, but right now you're not gonna make a lot of money doing that. You have to make money to support your art. And then eventually, when the job becomes time for retirement, your art takes center stage. That's how it goes. My dad was a musician his whole life, and you know how he sent his kids through college with all of his gig money. They collected all of that cash, put it on the side, and they paid for our college with his gig money, not with his day-to-day nine to five. Actually, it was 3 a.m. to ten. So I laugh all the time, but my mama like, Mom, now I get up at 3 a.m. just like daddy. All right. The quintessential
