Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Now speaking of a guy who is of no help whatsoever never gets paid no number five his employment in the negative Make no money Megadonia himself Magadon Magadon Magadon Megadonia I like Magadon Oh he's the mayor of Magadon of Magadonia I was the mayor of Bow New Hampshire years ago and I remember I told you I had a radio station that was a very good thing.
SPEAKER_04He was just a figurehead.
SPEAKER_07He he was you know too busy sleeping. Did the emperor have new clothes? But that was that was really funny. That's I can't it's hard to believe how many years ago. And uh, you know, doing this book and going through all my stuff, it's like it's like finding new treasures every day. Things that I did like the Baron of Bow Mills, I can remember that. And and I'm now friends on Facebook with the guy that's that started it, and he has a radio show up in uh the lakes region. Yeah, still 10,000.
SPEAKER_04Is he jealous that you're working for us now, free?
SPEAKER_07Yeah, he wants to come down.
SPEAKER_04He wants to be on our show.
SPEAKER_07That was oldies 99. It was all oldies station for it was just a few hundred feet from uh the grist.
SPEAKER_04Well then you'll fit right in.
SPEAKER_07Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_06Hey, we've we're up to 25 subscribers now on our our brand new YouTube channel, which there's really not a lot there. We're asking people to subscribe because of future coming uh things that we plan to do.
SPEAKER_07I have missed, I'm sorry, I have missed most of that. I don't know. No teeny bit about it.
SPEAKER_06Here's what I'm telling you to do, though. You can no longer come in looking like that. Why? Why? Because we're gonna be on camera. I know, but he's in full uniform. I I know, but could he at least like take a bath or something? What are you talking about? That's Sundays.
SPEAKER_04He gets a hose down in the yard.
SPEAKER_07Oh, yeah. What are you talking about?
SPEAKER_06Is it the Thursday night? No, I didn't get the memo.
SPEAKER_04You think you can get a haircut?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, and the rim.
SPEAKER_07Patty got me one the other day.
SPEAKER_06What'd she do? Get out the weed eater. Haircuts by Black and Decker. Uh no, here's the deal. Yep. Here's the deal, Magadonny listening. Pay attention. Why don't you be listening? I am now, sir. Okay. Liz and I had toyed with the idea for a long time, and people were like teasing us, you guys should have an OnlyFans, and then Liz is like, oh, I can do an OnlyFans and just show off like my ankle. It's like, you know, all that. Put all that aside.
SPEAKER_04People are into feet.
SPEAKER_06Uh yeah, I don't know why.
SPEAKER_04I have pretty feet. Don't I, Magadonnie? I don't know.
SPEAKER_06Don't make them push. Don't make them look. As the official port jester, yes, queen. Okay, anyway. So they've been asking us to do our show live on the air, like on some sort of streaming platform where they can see us do all this. It's coming. Oh no.
SPEAKER_04What do you think? Uh no cleavage. You cannot show your cleavage.
SPEAKER_06First thing that comes to my mind is cleavage for you. April will not be the show director.
SPEAKER_07Some of the things that come to mind immediately is if you're not programmed to do certain things and look a certain way or act a certain way, all the little mannerisms that you have that you don't ever think of is now going to show up to the world.
SPEAKER_05Yes. We were talking about that. This morning, Nick's like, what if I what if I like pick my nose or something on camera and I forget?
SPEAKER_04But you do it without even thinking because it's so na you're Yeah, but you don't do it in front of us either, anyway.
SPEAKER_07Well, no, no, but if I scratch my nose or something stupid, that's gonna be unreal.
SPEAKER_04Well, my problem is like eating. I like to eat my yogurt. That's not gonna be attractive on camera.
SPEAKER_07Stuff all over your face.
SPEAKER_04But you know what? Some people, some uh people who don't have maps, they love to watch people eating on video. Did you know there's like a whole I did not know that there's it's a whole thing.
SPEAKER_06It's the same people that are into the feet. I was gonna say, I guess I'll bring breakfast in now for myself.
SPEAKER_04I don't know why they do that. Like, for example, um, so like I like to apply lipstick while I'm on the air. So I'm gonna do so now and tell me if it's disturbing. Is it disturbing, Nikki, when I apply lipstick?
SPEAKER_06Am I supposed to watch?
SPEAKER_04No, I'm just saying it people will be watching, and sometimes I fix my makeup, we have a guest coming in. I'm not sure. What?
SPEAKER_06To do this. I it's something her and I have talked about for a long time. Really? Okay.
SPEAKER_04Well, you know, we need a little spice up for this.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, that should be extremely interesting.
SPEAKER_04Nick needs, you know, some variety, something to do.
SPEAKER_07I mean, I don't have to worry too much because I'm only a short little thing, but you guys all week.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it's a big commitment.
SPEAKER_07That's what I'm thinking.
SPEAKER_04And then Nick controls the camera. So I could tell him to turn it off, and then I'll think it's off, and I won't know. And he's gonna leave it on. Exactly.
SPEAKER_07That's gonna be for big ratings.
SPEAKER_04I'm gonna have a little bit of a depends on what you're doing. I'll have my own sticker and I'll just put it over it. That's what I'm gonna do. And then we'll see.
SPEAKER_07We'll see that.
SPEAKER_06You can't you know, you know what we should do is we get those little stands that have like a nice cardboard like of our face, and you just set it right there, and that will take up the entire screen every time you want. We'll be back signed. Yeah, we'll be back signed. Instead of holding it, it's on the little stand, you just set it there, and then we walk away.
SPEAKER_04I like it. That's a great idea. That is a great solution. And that way the camera never shuts off. Right. And then people can look at that.
SPEAKER_07It's true. Uh it's gonna be interesting.
SPEAKER_04What do you think?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, someone says, Why aren't you going with Rumble to start with? They're just gonna kick you off YouTube. I know, but that's a story by itself. We like that. What was it? Why can't we do both?
SPEAKER_07What are they gonna kick you off uh YouTube for?
SPEAKER_06Really? Facebook.
SPEAKER_07What did you do then?
SPEAKER_06Really? No, I mean, I don't we already did two of the trifecta this morning, and then we went for the third and brought it up. I missed it. Oh, well, we talked about Epstein, we talked about Trump, those are two strikes against us. Okay, and then we said just for poops and giggles, that masks don't work. Oh, we're just you know, we're we're a cancellation waiting to happen. All right.
SPEAKER_07Well, you know where to go if you need to.
SPEAKER_06Okay, for people. Yes. Uh, let's see. Uh oh, we've been listening to your show for seven years. I think we're all a little disturbed. Yeah, that's true. That's true. That's uh probably the best statement of the day. Okay, before people, okay, you have to listen with both ears, as my grandma would say. Listen with both ears. There is no live stream as far as the video and all that now. We just started the channel and we're gonna pump it full of videos and such, but we will start the live thing coming soon. We A need equipment, we gotta do some practice runs, we gotta get it all set up. I'm sure Liz will have to adjust lighting and blah, blah, blah. And then we'll have to.
SPEAKER_05Lighting is your friend.
SPEAKER_06Right. So we walk in and we just do a couple of three things and we're ready to roll for the broadcast. Yeah, we gotta get it down to the room.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_06Which by the way, is where it's getting uploaded now. It's a little late, but it gets uploaded a few minutes after the show. But if people want to at least catch a glimpse of what we're doing, you know.
SPEAKER_04Well, I can send you all the um videos. Well, you have all the videos actually, because you've been doing them. So you can just upload, backload the last few.
SPEAKER_06I could. I I don't have any of them recorded. No, those are gone.
SPEAKER_04I have so many of them in my phone. I've been deleting them along the way.
SPEAKER_06You should log into the account and just upload them.
SPEAKER_04Do I have the login?
SPEAKER_06I gave you that info.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_06I'll be happy to share it with you off air.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_06I don't want people putting it in videos of them brushing their teeth and going, oh, look, it's Liz Nick.
SPEAKER_04All right. MAGADON is here, and we're gonna play MAGA hat trivia. Uh and you are invited to play for a chance to win a red hat. Uh America, America, Red Hat's uh America. Red Hat, Red Hat's a talk shirt. Yep. What else?
SPEAKER_07A pin and a and a trump 2025 coin and a fight clock. Now, this is the last week I've been doing the fight clock. And I'll tell you a little story about last week's winner and what happened there. But the uh next week I actually was able to find some more of the garbage trucks. I've been looking because everybody really loved that. It's something they can put on their mantle. Yeah, it's a little thing they can have. The clock is a little different. And so I found them. So next week we'll go back to six weeks of garbage trucks.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Sounds good. Okay. But uh the phone number for Budget Blinds Text Line for you to um send in your answer to this trivia question is 843-798-talk 798-8255, and we'll pick the third correct answer.
SPEAKER_07To all you history buffs, this shouldn't be an easy one. I say that every week. Who was the first president to live at at 1800 Pennsylvania Avenue? 1600 at Pennsylvania Avenue. Who was the first president to live in the White House? Alright. And it's it's it's really tricky, so you gotta think about it. But you can look it up, you Google it, it comes up quick.
SPEAKER_04Alright. Uh, so all you have to do is send us your information, uh, your answer, and your name at 843-798-talk-798-8255 on the budget blinds text line. All right, we're gonna take a break, and uh we'll be back in just a few moments.
SPEAKER_10The Liz Callaway Show with Nick Summers, making Grand Strand Morning Radio great again. Back in a bit.
SPEAKER_04All right, I want to tell you about Mr. Sparky and generators. Uh, yeah, I know they are the on-time electrician and they can handle other things like, of course, um getting your electric panel inspected, you're having issues with anything going on electrically around your home, have them come on down. Also, panel surge protectors, they can help you hanging lighting, outside lighting, security lighting, but they also specialize in generators, and this not it isn't just a uh, you know, a fly-by-night type of thing. This is something that they do as part of their everyday, all year long business, and they have been finding a lot of nightmares out there of generators, whether they're portable generators or whole house generators, either the person's being oversold on the size and look um and the fuel source is not hooked up right or the exhaust is in the wrong direction, they don't have permits. Like, Mr. Sparky does it right. Go to Mr. SparkyGS.com, schedule an estimate for your home or business, and ask about the interlock kit for a portable generator, very important for safety. Mr. Sparky GS.com.

SPEAKER_04All right, I'm going to tell you about Suncoast Building Products and Services. You know, getting a free gutter inspection with Suncoast Building Products and Services is a great way to ensure that water is flowing away from your home because that's what these drainage systems and gutters are supposed to do. Protect your roof line, your foundation, your siding, and other areas of your home from water damage. So if you want to be sure that your gutters are doing exactly what they're supposed to do, or you may be noticing some rocks, some mold, some things like that popping up around your home. You're like, uh, maybe I gotta get this water. It's not drying out here. Um maybe your gutters are clogged, maybe they're not pitched properly, or they're not um installed properly, or they're falling away from the home in some way. Uh, like I said, clogged. They can do repairs, they can do uh clean outs, and of course, they can also install new gutters if you need that, and gutter guards so they don't get clogged again. And that's the best thing to do is to have uh them do a gutter inspection, and it's free. Suncoast Building Products.com also has a showroom. It's a family-owned business, and they're in Conway. It's the Hill family, uh, in business for like over 30 years now. You know they're doing stuff right, and they're efficient, and they have great quality materials at an excellent price. They've installed our gutters and our gutter guards, and we saved thousands on these beautiful gutter systems. Find out more, go to Suncoast Buildingproducts.com.
SPEAKER_10Yeah, it's finally since Friday. It's just like Friday, because it is a right local morning show. Liz Callaway and Nick Summers, weekday mornings, and only found here. It's WTKN Talk for the entire grand string.
SPEAKER_04All right, MAGADON. What is your MAGA trivia question? And let's see if we have a winner.
SPEAKER_07We do. Okay, the question was who was the first president to live in the White House? And the answer is Lowell knew it. Lowell knew it.
SPEAKER_06Third texture.
SPEAKER_07It was John Adams and his wife Abigail. They moved in in 1800, and he was out of office in 1801. So he was in the White House for one year, and then Jefferson moved in. Now, the question everybody was asking me earlier when I was talking about it is they said George Washington was the first one. That's not correct. George Washington started the house, the White House, and he laid the first cornerstone of it in 1792. But he was out of office in 1797 and John Adams took over. So after three years, the home was built and John moved in.
SPEAKER_04All right.
SPEAKER_07Pretty interesting when you go back through history.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. And it there is a rich history. Didn't it burn down once?
SPEAKER_07It burned down. I think it was 1829. But yeah, and then they rebuilt it.
SPEAKER_04And now the ballroom is twice the size of it or something?
SPEAKER_07Yeah, but the the thing is, there's been like five, I can't tell you for sure. I've been reading about it. There's a there were many additions to it over the years. Different things, and they put in a a basketball thing somewhere, and then they put in a bowling alley, and I mean they put in a whole bunch of different things. And this is the only one that's ever really been Did you hear about the Ark of Triumph debate?
SPEAKER_04Trump is making that big architect. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_06What's what's the latest debate on it?
SPEAKER_04Well, it's 250 feet high.
SPEAKER_06What's the problem?
SPEAKER_04Because the flight patterns. Oh, I guess. The airplane's landing, it's only two miles from the airport, and they already have a very restricted airspace. Right. So air uh pilots have been seeing if it's possible that they can still land the plane between the ARK, ARK, I think it's ARK, ARK, or and and the restricted airspace, it has now narrowed it to even and it's like they're saying that on a perfect weather day, yeah, no problem. But if there's clouds and now they're they needing to add red lights, you can't put something that high near a flight pattern, but um they would only have 300 feet of clearance.
SPEAKER_07Especially if it's IRF, if if they're landing with instruments, well, on a cloudy day, that's what he said. Yeah, yeah, I I can see that.
SPEAKER_04And so um there's some fighting going on on this. So we'll see what happens. And it's on an expedite expedited building plan.
SPEAKER_05Oh wow.
SPEAKER_04Um, because they I guess he wants it done before he's gone uh from the presidency. So uh yeah. So I don't know what's gonna end up happening, but it's always something. I mean, why does it have to be 250 feet high?
SPEAKER_06Because that way he can say it's huge! It's a big beautiful Is it bigger than the one in London?
SPEAKER_04Is that where the other one is? Isn't there one in London?
SPEAKER_06Is there?
SPEAKER_04Well, you know, there's a big arch of some kind somewhere.
SPEAKER_06Is it an arch or an arc?
SPEAKER_04Ark, whatever.
SPEAKER_06I don't know, I'm asking. It makes a difference when I look it up. I don't know, I don't care. You know, we got we got the golden arches, and there's a million. Did you mention the winner? I I did. Lowell, yes, we didn't. Lowell, that's right. And he uh he is new to the at least I've now added him to the text list. He hasn't been added before, so he loves the contest and he says, Thank you, Don.
SPEAKER_07Well, you know, you talk about the contest, you know, I think it was your idea, Liz, years ago to do something. I don't remember how it started. Yeah, but over the six years well, we've been here seven, a little over seven, seven and a half almost. But over the six years, there's been so many people that I have met after they win and I go meet 'em, yes, and they tell stories. And that that I wish they could redo my whole book. Because the story like two weeks ago, yeah, the guy retired on the day he won the hat or all the goodies. And he was one of the big shots in doing the uh renovations of the airport.
SPEAKER_04All the uh target common airport, the big no our airport, yeah. Yeah, Myrtle Lake, yeah.
SPEAKER_07All the the taxiways and the and the building. And it was like when I met him, he started and he was a wrestler, he flew helicopters. I mean, it was like and he's oh I love the show, I love listening, but he doesn't always check in. But it's these are the fun times. And then last week, Robbie. It blew me away.
SPEAKER_04Nick did you tell us that story yet?
SPEAKER_07I I told you the other night. Okay. But not on the air.
SPEAKER_04Oh, not on the air, okay.
SPEAKER_07I put it on my Facebook page and it lit up. I mean, I can't tell you how many people we'll come back and tell that story.
SPEAKER_04We're gonna go to break right now, do news, and we'll be back in a moment.
SPEAKER_06The Ark is it's in Paris. The Arc de Triumph. So maybe they can gift it to us. I use it. No.
SPEAKER_04Well, they gave it the statue of the.
SPEAKER_06I know, that's enough. Thank you. Moving on.
SPEAKER_10This is the Liz Callaway show with Nick Summers.
SPEAKER_04Isn't it time to relax?

They just posted this. That's why I'm telling you, because you don't you don't know what you don't know. Right, and I don't have Facebook, so thank you. Yeah, so I just wanted to let you know that you can try out the cold plunge, the hot tub, the swim spas. American made, by the way. You can use it all year long. It's awesome. SPEAKER_01From the WMBF Newsroom, I'm Lauren Korn. A repeat drug offender in Myrtle Beach is going back to prison. A judge sentenced 43-year-old Ray Sean Epps to 12 years on Thursday after pleading guilty to having cracked cocaine. Ori County police arrested him in 2024 after he led them on a chase and tried to get rid of the drugs. One person is hurt after a shooting at a Carolina Forest Department complex. It happened around 6 30 Thursday night at the Laurent on Village Center Boulevard. Residents heard several pops before seeing a swarm of cops arrive. The victim is expected to be okay. If you have any information about the shooting, call Laurie County police. You can soon explore a rare piece of South Carolina coast. The state received a $4 million federal grant to help acquire Waits Island in Ory County, a more than 1,000-acre barrier island only accessible by boat. South Carolina's working with conservation groups to protect two-thirds of the island while allowing folks to visit. They say Waits Island helps defend the coast and preserve its natural and cultural history. From the WMBF Newsroom, I'm Lauren Korn.

You know, a lot of people are facing knee replacement surgeries. There's lots of things they can do at the uh Falk Family Total Health to help you avoid getting what some people call minor surgery. No surgery is minor, number number one. Number two, you have to think about losing your body part permanently. Okay, your body might reject the new part, you might get an infection, God forbid. Um, so if you can find another way to get out of pain and save your joint, why wouldn't you try that first? And uh they do that with regenerative cell treatment and PRP injections. Talk to them about trigger point injections that are non-steroid. Steroids uh tend to destroy the joint even more over time. Um, and also talk to them about chiropractic care and massage therapy, scar tissue, all that. SPEAKER_04Yeah, that was the um That was the election night.
SPEAKER_06Election slash my birthday slash Toys for Tots.
SPEAKER_04Plus election stolen.
SPEAKER_07Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, we watched that. Now we're officially kicked off YouTube.
SPEAKER_07Now it's back to Rumble.
SPEAKER_05Back to Rumble. Okay, get it.
SPEAKER_07Anyway, that particular night, you know, I put up one of one of my hats. And I said, you know, thinking we'd get something to help Toys for Tots, 50 bucks, 100, whatever. Well, by the night, the end of the night, Robbie had bid $500, and I totally forgot all about it.
SPEAKER_06Wow.
SPEAKER_07Until last week.
SPEAKER_04When Nick Do you remember that, Nick? You were so mad at me.
SPEAKER_06No, I remember that and you selling your Nugent hat I bought you.
SPEAKER_04That's what he's talking about. No. No, he's not.
SPEAKER_06My red hat hat.
SPEAKER_04Oh, I'm not sure.
SPEAKER_06My red hat got five hundred bucks for the red hat. That's right. You sold the Nugent hat for 300 bucks. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yes. Okay, so this wasn't the guy who got the Nugent hat. That's right, because that guy actually came to the event. Right.
SPEAKER_07Okay. So anyway, Nick always gives me the number of the guy, what person that wins, and it's and a shirt size.
SPEAKER_05Yes.
SPEAKER_07So I call, and I'm sure Robbie's listening today. He always does on Fridays. So I get the call. I call the guy.
SPEAKER_06Wait, only on Fridays? What's wrong with him?
SPEAKER_07Well, I don't know. Sure he does the rest of the week. But he calls to listen to see how bad you pick on me, he said. And that's a a whole lineup.
SPEAKER_04We've actually been pretty good today. Actually, shh, please. Don't remind him.
SPEAKER_07All right.
SPEAKER_06Show's going to Well, after I told him you needed a bath, I figured that was an awesome.
SPEAKER_07I'm gonna take one on Sunday, I said. So hi Megadon, how you doing? Is the answer er.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_07It took me totally off guard. Uh-huh. I had no idea. And then after we're talking about it, he says, Yeah, don't you remember me? I said, No. He paid 500 bucks for one of my red hats. And his father's a Marine, and and this whole Toys for Tot for his family has been something that he's always been involved in. He was in the Navy and I was in submarines and he was on destroyers. And the destroyer submarines are always in the same area. Destroyer submarines in all the all the shipyards. So we were talking about, and it was like, how do you remember now? This is six years ago. And I haven't talked to the guy. He said his and if he's listening, he's gonna remember this. I kept your name in my phone because I knew I'd meet you again. That's so funny. That is something. It's really it's really funny when and you think about what we've done, and just just Fridays. I mean, I can't even imagine what you what you guys do the whole week. But this is just talking about it.
SPEAKER_06One little stinking segment. We just hang out here till you get in on Friday.
SPEAKER_07I'll put it next Friday morning. So yeah, I'm a placeholder for what I don't know. But it's amazing how many people I have met just through this one little segment and how much they meant to different people and different charities. But anyway, that's awesome. So that was really and thank you, Robbie, for for that. And and now the hat he he won doesn't even look like a hat anymore. He wore it every day.
SPEAKER_04Oh wow, you're kidding.
SPEAKER_07On air, I'm gonna say what he told me I could say. Okay. He's gone to jobs, he's a contractor type of thing by himself. Uh-huh. He has gone to jobs to give a bid. They saw the hat and said, You don't need to stay.
SPEAKER_05Wow.
SPEAKER_07And I wanted to say, and and he told me that story, and it's happening.
SPEAKER_04And he probably does it so to find out if he should even do business with these people, weed them out before they drive him nuts.
SPEAKER_07That's what he said to me. I didn't want to do business with them anyway. Exactly. They're gonna be that critical about something. I mean, he I'm sure he'll work for Democrats, independents, Republicans, doesn't matter. But if you have that type of an attitude, yeah, what's gonna go wrong, what's gonna happen, you don't want to pay him.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_07So anyway, exactly. Now, the other story I want to make sure I get out before we go, is you guys were talking the other day about Joey Budafoco from New York. Yes. Okay.
SPEAKER_08Yes.
SPEAKER_07When I built the Grist Mill restaurant, which was shortly down not that far away from the International Speedway, that was built the same year. I built the Griss Mill in 89 and the uh International Speedway opened in 90, just a few months after I opened. Now, a lot of people from New York, Frente, Racing, uh, Glenn Sullivan, uh, Drake Automotive, Joey Bouffer, they all were heavily into racing. And we had not only the International Speedway, which was a major, big and track, we had like six or seven small tracks all in the area. Okay. And these people were all heavily into they were they would Massachusetts and different places, New York. And when New Hampshire opened up, they would come up because they could go to two or three different tracks and then be Sunday at the major track for international. So these guys I got to meet early in life, and and as you just looked at it, I didn't know who Joey was, and none of this happened to after we'd been together for two or three years.
SPEAKER_05Right.
SPEAKER_0790, 91, 92. And he would come up and we would go to some of the small tracks in New Hampshire. Now there's people that listen to me on Fridays from New Hampshire that knows his story.
SPEAKER_05Okay.
SPEAKER_07So I'm sure I'm gonna- You better be accurate. I better be closer than normal, right? Uh-huh. He they I'm not I can't remember who had the motorhome. It wasn't a big fancy motorhome. It was like uh one of those B chassis or you know, with a Dodge chassis and a 24-foot box on the back. Okay. You've seen them small ones. It was maybe a little bit bigger than that. But they would bring up a case of Dom Perrion every time they would come.
SPEAKER_04For what reason?
SPEAKER_07Go to the racetrack.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_07And we would drink it in celebrate in the motorhome. Each one of us had a bottle of Dom Perrion going to the racetrack. And then Glenn Sullivan was drive, he was head of race car and he was number 34 for Christie's. And he would always drive the motorhome. Okay. And we go into one of the racetracks, one of his buddies from New York, Bronx somewhere, had a motorhome, a a bigger one, a nicer one, and we raced. The motorhomes? Gent Glenn Sullivan was a race car driver, and we're drinking bottles of Dom Perry on racing this other motorhome.
SPEAKER_04And I knew not the drivers, I hope.
SPEAKER_07Everybody.
SPEAKER_04Oh my god. Oh, you kidding me? Where were you racing them?
SPEAKER_07Uh Glenn said it was a buddy of his in another motorhome. He said, We're gonna pee him out. So they were like racing on the track, on a regular road going up to White Mountains.
SPEAKER_05Oh my god, that does not sound advisable.
SPEAKER_07I was scared.
SPEAKER_04You might think so.
SPEAKER_07There wasn't enough booze in that man. I knew I and coming down this long hill. I don't remember exactly, but we're going down this long hill. And it it wasn't campers. Campers. And I don't know, we're probably 80, 90 miles an hour.
SPEAKER_04You must have nine lives, Magadon.
SPEAKER_07I've got more than that, trust me. There's the only nine you know of. I got another 30 behind it. And I can never forget. Joey is 480 years old. What do you expect? He's immortal. But so Joey would and I can remember, and then all of a sudden. Now, in the 90s, in the early 90s, there was a big scandal with some of the towing companies in New York and the police. Oh. You can all look this up. And uh one of the guys that used to come up that was in the van with us every time we went somewhere, didn't show up one time. Uh oh. And so I asked Glenn and a couple other people, I said, Where's some? And I guess in the slammer. I gotta be careful with the name because I just don't want to go. I don't want any trouble because these people don't forget. Okay, you know what I mean. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_07And so I said, Where's so-and-so? Well, he won't be here for a while. He's spending three years in jail.
SPEAKER_05Oh, man.
SPEAKER_07He was one of the towing companies that was involved in the kickbacks of the police.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_07And I don't know. I would as I remember there were many cops involved. They all lost their jobs.
SPEAKER_06I think that's an isolated incident. That doesn't happen anywhere else across the country. Nowhere else does that happen.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, right. Well, it happened to somebody that I gotta tell you that I knew, and I'm gonna tell you the story. Uh-huh. Every one of these guys, well, not everyone, but there was probably six guys total. Yeah. All five were definitely connected. You know what I'm talking about. Okay. But they were the easiest going, friendliest.
SPEAKER_04Until they were not.
SPEAKER_07I had no idea. And then after Amy Fisher and all that stuff happened, I went to Glenn, which was a good friend of mine. He used to all the time come to the race. Yeah. He said, Um, did you hear about uh Joey? I said, No, Amy Fisher? No. She should I can't I don't remember the whole story. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Well, she was 16, he was 30 something.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_04And he seduced her. Okay. He says she seduced him, but nothing happened.
SPEAKER_05So we did not have sex with that woman. I did not inhale. It depends what is is who it is. Yeah, right, exactly.
SPEAKER_07And so when I've heard that and then she shot her his wife in the face. But it it really surprised me because I'm just from New Hampshire, I'm just a naive guy trying to make a living. And all these people I was saying. Yeah. Well, most of it is, actually. But to have to been that close to these people and have such notoriety, not in a good sense, it really it really woke me up. Look at these people, they're friends of mine, and look at what they've been doing that I didn't even know about.
SPEAKER_04Are you saying Joey Betafouco would remember you?
SPEAKER_07No. Oh, yes. I guarantee you he'd remember me. Really? And the Griss Mill restaurant. Oh, yeah. I would bet my life that he would remember me in the Griss Mill restaurant. Especially if we put Glenn Sullivan's name in there. Yeah. Because Glenn knew him better because they were from Long Island. Right. That whole team.
SPEAKER_08Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Everybody was from Long Island. That's so funny. And so yeah, if he would he'd remember the Griss Mill.
SPEAKER_04Another brush with greatness, Magadon. Yeah, greatness. Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Let's go shoot somebody and then I know him. Okay.
SPEAKER_04Well, he didn't do it. It was his Lolita. But what alleged Lolita.
SPEAKER_07Some of the things that happened around him or with him or about him. Yeah. Other than that, yeah.
SPEAKER_04He sounds like Pig Pen. Just a cloud of dust. And dirt.
SPEAKER_07But yeah, and so And filth. And filth. When you brought his name up the other day, I had to text it to you're not going to believe this story.
SPEAKER_06My name is Nick.
SPEAKER_07Yeah, that guy over there. I had to text him and say, You're not going to believe this story. I know. Here's another one. But anyway. It's amazing what this book has done. Yeah. It's bro. Like I got my no. I told you at the at the restaurant. The guy that sent me the picture of my father's plaque underneath the window where I knew that I wanted to be with Patty. Yes. The guy's name was Lopez.
SPEAKER_04I that's right. The the guy who did it for you.
SPEAKER_07Louis Lopez is the guy that said, I know your father's plaque.
SPEAKER_04But that's so he works at the restaurant. He's my primo.
SPEAKER_07Yeah. So he went down to sent the pictures. I sent him a check for 50 bucks.
SPEAKER_04Oh, that was cool. I saw you post the picture. Yeah. So it's of uh of like a like it's like at a stone or something. Yeah, it's a stone. It's big, it's more than a plaque, like it's like a monument.
SPEAKER_06Well, he was pretty well. Is it as big as the Arcadrump?
SPEAKER_04No, no, not as big as that. But I couldn't believe it.
SPEAKER_07And and all this time like the story is I I met Patty, and then a year later I was in the restaurant where her and her late husband used to go, and I loved the the food, and Tracy still owns the restaurant. And I put in a note to to Lewis. I said to make sure you tell Tracy, Patty, say Panda, and I say hi. And a year after I know that this is a lady that I want to be with sitting in the restaurant looking out over my father's plaque, which I didn't know was there. A year after I make that decision, I find out that my father had a plaque right outside that window.
SPEAKER_04So crazy.
SPEAKER_07And I and I met my mother in ninety-four, and my father died in eighty-eight. So it was like he was guiding me. This is oh I get goosebumps. It was like he was guiding me to that very night that I sat there and had that dinner.
SPEAKER_04That's so crazy.
SPEAKER_07Creepy, yeah, it is. I have a hard time saying that.
SPEAKER_04Not creepy, I think I think it's just crazy. You can put it all together. And now it'll be that'll be in the book.
SPEAKER_07Oh yeah, oh yeah. That's uh but you know, he was in the Navy. He had a restaurant.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07He was in construction. I mean the jeans. I don't know.
SPEAKER_04But and he didn't know anything about you?
SPEAKER_07Oh yeah. Well, he kind of knew that my mother was pregnant.
SPEAKER_04No, but did he know that you were you? Well uh while you were coming up in the world?
SPEAKER_07No, because nobody knew my name because it was sealed.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_05Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_07My my mother signed an agreement, both mothers signed an agreement, and it was sealed. And when I went to look for him, it was still sealed, but I was able to my the adoption connection in Massachusetts helped me. But the thing was, after I met my mother in ninety four, ninety-five, my mother told me about my father, and he just you know, that was it.
SPEAKER_04He had already passed away.
SPEAKER_07Oh no. He's 80 years. Yeah, but what I'm saying is, so she told me about my father. I didn't know that he had passed away. I don't think she told me. She might have, but I reached out to the family and two or three times and but they wouldn't re even respond. Now my mother's responded. But my father's fa no he did that's right. My mother told me he had passed six years before I met my mother, and so but I knew her name, his wife's name, and and so and then I met my cousin.
SPEAKER_06How I met my mother.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_07But my father's uh family wouldn't wouldn't even that they don't want anything to do with you.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
unknownNo.
SPEAKER_07So anyway.
SPEAKER_04They're lost. They could have all this, and they said no, thank you. I can't believe they passed that up.
SPEAKER_07What kind of people would do something like that? Anybody had a brain?
SPEAKER_04Go ahead, Nick.
SPEAKER_07You're due.
SPEAKER_06You start talking about family, I just kind of lay back. I'm not gonna slam you.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, we can't pick on you for that.
SPEAKER_06No, I mean it's really cool touching, you know about the dad and seeing the plaque, finally getting a picture of it. It's crazy.
SPEAKER_04I can't even imagine all of that.
SPEAKER_07The thing that got me the most is sitting in that window. That's such a simple life. Yeah, I think you got plenty you could put out there too. But sitting in the window knowing this is who I wanted to be with.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_07Then a year after that, find out my father was down right below me looking up.
SPEAKER_04It's crazy.
SPEAKER_07It it it's yeah, I don't know. Yeah. Kind of neat to put it all together.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that is absolutely crazy. All right, Magadon. Keep doing what you're doing. And Nikki, uh, I'll see you. Are you coming tonight all the way to Conway?
SPEAKER_07I think we're gonna come up, yeah.
SPEAKER_06What do you mean you think? You're on the list, you've been on the list for like eight years. Eight years? You're sat third on the list for every event we have. It goes list. It's our eighth annual. You. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Eight? Yeah, this is the eighth annual. I know we're uh, but if you count 2019, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, this is our eighth annual.
SPEAKER_07Okay, how many fingers do I have? No, no, no, ma'am.
SPEAKER_04We did it in 2019.
SPEAKER_06No, no, okay. Just think, folks, you're gonna get all this on the YouTube channel.
SPEAKER_07Coming soon. Get out my abacus.
SPEAKER_04So it is our eighth annual.
SPEAKER_06Oh, wow. That's unreal. Yeah, I remember that night well. The first one, you put him in charge of babysitting jobby. That was great.
SPEAKER_04Oh, yeah, that's right. That was July 27th, 2019.
SPEAKER_07That was that's what you're calling the first.
SPEAKER_04That was the first. I thought it was just uh That was our first birthday slash birthday party. Yeah, we just combined it. Yeah, yeah. Oh, okay. But it was uh our my birthday party, my 50th birthday party.
SPEAKER_06And uh yeah, I'm sorry. Everybody says maybe Liz and Don can open a restaurant.
SPEAKER_04No thanks. No thank you. No thanks. I'll pass. I'll pass. All right, we'll see you up at Commonway Ford.
