He is the author of The Life of a Blue Collar Actor. It's available on Book Baby Book Shop online. Uh, what do you think uh about what's going on?
SPEAKER_00Oh boy, I'm telling you, well, first of all, I wanted to just congratulate Nick. He said he came back with uh about uh a ton of energy, so his his his vacation must have been good.
SPEAKER_01Oh, completely restful. There's nothing like hanging out with two little girls at an amusement park. Totally restful.
SPEAKER_00What could go wrong? Okay. Uh I wanna I actually want to ask uh your opinion this morning. Uh as you guys Falsey, as you know, that's all I will call him, uh Anthony Falsey. You know, because he he he he's he's he's a false guy, Falsey. Um I don't even know if the listeners and you guys know do you know what his pension is?
SPEAKER_01Uh two hundred and some odd thousand a year, I think, right? No, no, he is the highest paid public servant.
SPEAKER_00Right. Four four hundred and fourteen thousand dollars a year is what his pension is. Wow. That's his pension. His net worth is twelve million dollars.
SPEAKER_02Wow.
SPEAKER_00And the number you just mentioned, the president of the United States' pension is two hundred and fifty thousand dollars a year. So Falsey, so Falsey is drawing four hundred and fourteen thousand dollars a month.
SPEAKER_03Can we at least stop the money flow? Like, uh all right, we're not gonna throw him in jail, though he deserves it.
SPEAKER_00For what? He's been pardoning babies. He's been pardoned. Now that's yeah, that now that's that's the next thing I wanted to ask you. Wait a minute, because I was gonna ask you, do you think he he's definitely gonna be found guilty of of the uh of the contempt of Congress? He's definitely gonna be found guilty of that. Do you believe he will do the one year for that? Nope. Okay. No, you don't. All right. Now there are three currently, right now, and last night I found out I think there are gonna be two more, but currently there are three state attorney generals that are going after him because you just said about the pardon, Nick. Yeah. The pardon does does not pardon him off of state crimes.
SPEAKER_01Right, but they've only launched an official investigation and he hasn't been charged with anything. Do you really see out of those four, potentially five? Do you see anything happening to Fauci?
SPEAKER_00I I think uh I think Florida is gonna indict him. I do believe Florida, because they're they're they're running, they're like running point on this. Uh the attorney general in Florida, and and I I think they're gonna indict him. But again, I I'm in complete agreement with you guys. I don't think he'll spend a day in jail.
SPEAKER_01No, but what it might do is it might bankrupt him with all these cases. That could be a good thing.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I don't know, because his net worth is twelve million bucks. He's he's got a net worth of twelve million dollars. And of course he broke all kinds of laws because when you're in his position, you cannot be asking the people that work for you to solicit the awards so he can collect that that million bucks that he collected.
SPEAKER_03They said he yeah, they said that that's what he was doing.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that that that's completely I mean that that's a violation. Yeah. That's against the law, because he was having them go out and solicit. And they solicited over a million dollars cash, which was tax free for him. So uh I I I don't know. I don't believe he'll wind up going to jail, but uh I certainly think he should be in jail. So you know, I I mean that's that's that's my feeling about him. My and as what came out uh the other couple of days ago about the pregnant women, uh I mean it's disgusting. It's just I mean, women have got to be uh completely up in arms over that. I mean it's just it's just absolutely ridiculous.
SPEAKER_01Not all women.
SPEAKER_00Oh no, no, no, not not not not all women, because we're we're we're gonna we're gonna we're gonna get there in a minute. We're we're gonna talk a little bit about the WNBA, which I guess is gonna become the I guess is gonna become the the the the NWNBA. It's gonna be the NNW NBA. I guess that's that's what it's gonna be. Because it's it's gonna have we're gonna I think three of these, I can't believe it, three of these guys, I mean they're all about what, six, eight, you know, uh six uh I mean they're they're they're all now eligible for the twenty twenty-seven draft. But um uh uh quickly some good stuff for us about New York. I mean, since uh Liz, obviously you and I don't live there. I mean, do you still have any ties in New York?
SPEAKER_03Yes, I still have aunts and uncles and cousins, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Okay, well, were uh are they aware of uh Mondami when he went over and made his appearance at Staten Island?
SPEAKER_03Yes, my aunt is from Staten Island. Uh yeah, they despise him.
SPEAKER_00He got booed completely off the stage, and he was such a politician. He was supposed to make this whole speech and everything. I don't know if you guys saw it. Yes, but he he got up there and then he and he said that you're holding his hand up, and they're just you hear them just screaming at him. You know, you're a crook. You know, they're just saying these unbelievable things, the the homeowners. I mean, they're just going at him like crazy, and and he goes, Well, thank you very much. I'm gonna and then he and he walked off. I know he left. So it just uh just cracked me up. He also, by the way, uh he was sued by New Yorkers, not and we're not talking just about Staten Island, and they they won their suit. He's appealing it, but he had that luxury tax thing. He wanted to he wanted to to to put a new luxury tax on all homeowners in New York City.
SPEAKER_03Mm-hmm. Is it second homeowners? Like you had to be a second homeowner, right?
SPEAKER_00No, his no. The deal was that it it was it was a luxury tax on on any homes that you own.
SPEAKER_02Wow.
SPEAKER_00You know, in in New York. But it but it uh it got it they won in court, but he's appealing it, which I just think is unbelievable.
SPEAKER_01Hey, Joe, I got a question for you real quick. Did you what is this nonsense about, and maybe it's not nonsense, about how they found that there was some fraudulent votes involved in that election, the mayoral election, and it happens to be kind of almost the margin he won by. Have you heard any more about that or did that disappear?
SPEAKER_00No, I've just heard what you've heard. I've heard in fact uh it was wasn't it Nick Shirley that discovered that?
SPEAKER_01Yes.
SPEAKER_00I think it was Nick Shirley that discovered that, and you're absolutely right. The fraud was uh my understanding was the fraud was just a few over what he won by. Because he, you know, he he he won by a slim margin when you consider 28,000, I think, right? Yeah, that that New York uh was that I didn't know it was twenty-eight, was it twenty eight thousand?
SPEAKER_01I thought that's what they found. I'll I'll look at it.
SPEAKER_00Okay, I thought it was slimmer than that because uh it just it just amazed me that uh in in a you know like New York is such a liberal city anyway, but it amazed me that the margin was that tight, particularly because of who the people were that were running there. And and and while we're the the only uh you know thing that made me think that there just might be a slight a slight now, I understand you guys I'm saying a slight crack in the blinds with the Democrats because Hong, she lost in in Wisconsin. Yeah. Uh and and and everybody was really feeling and uh can anybody even imagine how this lady was was even l leading the pack and and was running to be the governor of Wisconsin? I I I don't know if anybody ever saw her make a speech or something.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00She was unbelievable. And uh the other day.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I found out the other day the the thing that her did you know that her press secretary, uh her press secretary spokesperson was a porn star? No. Yes. Wow Hong's uh Hong's press secretary spokesperson was was a porn star. Oh my gosh. And and of course she wanted to eliminate uh uh prost prostitution, but which which I I'm I don't I don't really have a major opinion about that. Uh I will let you guys know, you're there in South Carolina, a wonderful state. I am really bugged at my state of North Carolina. I guess you guys all know about Brittany Boltonhouse being stripped of her Miss New York, her Miss North Carolina title.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, what was the nature of her like racist comments?
SPEAKER_01I could never find out what the nature was, like Liz said.
SPEAKER_00And and and you will never found, you'll never find out because this is the thing that's making me absolutely crazy. They come out and say that they're doing that because they won't stand for homophobia, uh uh racism. They they list all of these things and they won't even allow her, because she signed a confidentiality clause, an NDA, to do this. She can't even defend herself. All she's allowed to say is that she's a Christian conservative woman. And this was, as far as I'm concerned, this was completely political. Absolutely, completely political, because they won't even they won't even come out and tell us when they they list all of these things. They just list a a bevy of homophobia, uh, you know, uh homo all of this stuff.
SPEAKER_01I'm sure she said something along the lines of there are only two genders, all lives matter, and marriages between a man and a woman.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. So that's it. Yeah. And and it's just uh the the fact that they will not allow her, that she's not allowed, you know, to e even say what her positions are. So they put that out there, which we all know that that's just a typical woke thing.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_00You know, they they paint everything with one brush, and then and then of course you have a situation that you you just can't you can't defend yourself and all of that. And of course, you know, these these crazy Democrats uh uh something that uh knocked me off my seat last night when was when MSN uh no one's watching, that's MSN NOW. I like to say that's MS No One is Watching, say say that uh the the Democrats now are too woke to win. And I had to pick myself up off the floor because I couldn't believe that you know MsNOW was saying that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00But uh they're saying that they're too much.
SPEAKER_03But they are winning. You had Al Sayed winning because he's you know Absolutely.
SPEAKER_00I I'm telling you, I it's it's another one of the things that that that I think and of course you've got people like Gavin and and now uh Kamala all heading out to uh Michigan to kiss his ring, which uh I I think is just uh yeah. I don't know what your your guys' opinion are. My opinion of Gavin Newsom is that Gavin Newsom will go anywhere for a news conference. Anywhere.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And so that's why he's now going to Michigan. The other thing I would like to say, and Italians can take joy in this, I honestly believe if you tied his hands, he couldn't talk. I think if you just if you just if you tie have you ever you have have you seen him when he makes any kind of a speech? Yeah, it is true. I have I've never in my life seen a guy do so much of that. And some good things I think going for us. Uh Carvell uh says that he thinks the party now is full of nothing but stupid ideas, uh, which is something, and Bill Bill Mayer has he he is now saying Bill Mora, he's now saying he's he's gonna vote for Republicans. So some of these things look really good. However, I'm gonna I'm gonna qualify that by saying I think that's one of the dangers that Republican conservatives have to look out for in the midterms. We cannot be complacent and think that this is all gonna go in our favor because we all know if if we lose the if we lose the Senate or if we lose the House, we know what the West the the rest of Trump's term will be. It will it will be nothing but impeachments and it'll just be it'll just be going on and on and on. Uh okay, a couple of last things that are blowing me away. Uh uh scaring the hell out of me, I should say. Did you see that they are now going to have self-driving 18 wheelers on the road?
SPEAKER_03What?
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03No way.
SPEAKER_00Oh, they they had they had two last night. Two on the road. They got two guys sitting in the cab, no hands on the wheel. The thing is shifting lanes, it's going around people. They are self-driving 18 wheelers.
SPEAKER_02That's crazy.
SPEAKER_00And boy, I don't know about you guys, but that just it scares me to death. Uh I it just uh an 18-wheeler?
SPEAKER_03That's that's I don't even understand how is that even allowed?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I mean, I mean it's absolutely crazy because you know they don't publicize any of the stuff. You know, there have been a couple of pretty good accidents with these self-driving vehicles, you know, and uh nobody publicizes it, nobody says anything about it, and it just uh it it blows me away. Uh okay, I'll wrap it up with this last thing, which again just also depressed the doo-doo out of me. Uh last night I heard that in New York City, uh-huh, and well, in New York, actually the whole state, fifty-seven percent of third graders cannot read.
SPEAKER_03Wow. Yeah, it's pretty bad.
SPEAKER_0057% of third graders in New York cannot read. And that's boy, yeah. I mean, I I was not the the brightest.
SPEAKER_03We talk about that kind of thing a lot, and it is really sad. It's really worrying. Somewhat by design. Because as a taxpayer and people as parents, they I mean they're looking at this and they don't understand why that's happening.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's it's just I'm telling you, it's it's it's absolutely unbelievable. And certainly COVID did not help any of that. No, it hurts it hurt an awful lot of the kids, which is another thing that policy should be strung up for. But anyway.
SPEAKER_03All right. Well, thank you so much, Jordan Rhodes. You can check out his book, The Life of a Blue Collar Actor. It's available on Book Baby Bookshop. We'll talk to you next week and say hi to Lynn.
