In this podcast, Dr. Quentin Alexander from George Mason University dialogues with Dr. Evan Long, a former faculty colleague from Longwood University. Dr. Long was a first-generation college student and is now a professor, and a faculty advisor. Dr. Long discusses how his experience as a first-generation college student from his undergraduate studies through his doctoral program informs his advising practices with first-generation college students. He offers tips and advice for all faculty advisors who work with first-generation college students.
