Speaker 1:

What is up? Franchise fans? Jack Johnson, here with your franchise market watch for November 7th 2023. If you're looking to find out the franchises that people actually buy each and every week, this is your podcast. If you're looking to find the best deal on today's best franchises, this is your podcast.

Speaker 1:

Okay, here's what we do rapid fire. We go through the franchises since our last report that we, or people affiliated with us as franchise consultants, have helped people purchase. So first up on the list today Furryland. Furryland is mobile dog grooming. Very straightforward, item 19 shows a net income of $263,000 and this mobile dog grooming franchise comes with something a little extra. They come with the Rhino 7 Phoenix Brands investor model franchise, meaning that if you pay them an additional 5% royalty to manage your franchise, they will do that for you. This is a true absentee franchise where, if you have two hours a week to commit to the business, pay attention to your P&L, make sure the business is running the right way. It won't be perfect, guys nothing is but this is about as absentee as a franchise gets, so high demand for their services. The item 19 again shows a net of $263,000 a year. Think about this, folks, right now, are you going to be able to find that in real estate or in the stock market. Huge demand for services. I don't know if any of you listening have tried to get your dog's groomed recently, but there's usually a waiting time. This franchise sells an area developer model, meaning that they will award an entire metro area, not just a single franchise unit, unless the metro is a small metro area. So it's a really interesting franchise. That franchise has historically been very recession resistant and people pay through the nose for their dogs. So Furryland want to save $10,000 on your Furryland franchise. You have to go through me and my company. The franchise insiders text me 305-710050.

Speaker 1:

Next up, another one that we haven't seen in a while Strickland Brothers. Strickland Brothers is a one-stop shop for fast and friendly oil change and maintenance services. They're most known for their 10-minute oil change, but they also offer a variety of professional automotive maintenance and repair services. This franchise again recession resistant. Look, you know oil. I know people talked a lot about electric vehicles, but I mean, look at all the cars on the road folks. There's still a huge need for oil and oil changes. Strickland Brothers is pretty low investment. Franchise fee is higher $89,900. Total investment is $218,000 to $373,000. So again for an oil change business. That's really good. By the way, I neglected to mention on Furryland, total investment starts at about $200,000. All in Franchise fee is $6,200-500. But, just like on Furryland, we can save you $10,000 on your Strickland Brothers franchise, but you have to go through us. So text us at 305-7100-500 and find out about how Strickland Brothers is an essential business and how the quick-loop automotive industry is an $8 billion industry and how this is a very simple and flexible franchise.

Speaker 1:

Next up on the list Glass Doctor. Okay, so Glass Doctor. You guys, this is from Neighborly, which is a very well-known, highly regarded sort of franchise group. They are the leading nationally recognized glass repair franchise with a primary focus on helping their franchisees meet and exceed their financial and professional goals. I'm obviously reading that, but I love that they're putting the franchisee right into the tagline there of how they help. Now this is interesting On the financials home and business glass.

Speaker 1:

The average business is doing $982,000 in annual gross sales, $786 per job. They also break it into auto glass. The average annual revenue for auto glass glass doctors is $752,652, or $363 per average job. That's really cool. They break that out and it's probably pretty cool that you can kind of flex your units in a way where you're focusing on both the home and business as well as the auto glass. This is, again a recession resistant business. I own a glass window cleaning company, as I've mentioned before. It's a good space to be in, no licensing required. The investment on glass doctor 59, 900 franchise fee, 162,000 total investment Really nice. This, folks this is what we talk about on this podcast all the time. Single unit franchise about 150, 160k total investment Budget up to 200K Plan on a single unit being able to do about a million dollars gross. If you want to do more, add more units.

Speaker 1:

Next up on the list Glow 30. Now, glow 30 is very exciting. Glow 30 is your perfect facial every 30 days. Listen to that tagline right in the logo. Come back every 30 days and get your facial this franchise, by the way, we can save you $10,000 on glass doctor Text me at 305-710050. Back to Glow 30, we can save you five grand on Glow 30. Glow 30's average gross revenue in the FDD is $1.8 million. That is killer.

Speaker 1:

Action based skincare, ai powered skin analysis, monthly membership facials really, really smart. I like this one a lot. I just feel like and they do fillers and Botox and that type of thing too. This is a space with a big runway. It kind of feels to me like when the haircutting franchises all came into Bo, maybe 30 years ago. This new wave of beauty franchises really is setting the stage. I know that in some of the more rural markets there are other similar brands, like Forever Young, like I believe, their leading franchisee is in San Antonio, texas, unlike here where I live, in Boca Raton, where there is someone doing Botox on every corner. In some of the smaller markets there's a little bit of an opportunity for you folks.

Speaker 1:

Glow 30, very cool concept. Love the AI focus, love the subscription base and I love the $1.8 million unit. That's incredible. The investment for Glow 30 is actually surprisingly low as well. Franchise fee is only $35,000. Total investment $221,000,. But I'm going to tell you something about Glow. They come from Fransmart and Fransmart is going to recommend you do probably three units Right on that franchise fee probably being actually about $100,000 or more. But that's a good thing, because if you have three units and the average unit is doing $1,000,000 and you're grossing up $4.5,000, that means you are likely netting for yourself somewhere in the neighborhood of $500,000 to $900,000.

Speaker 1:

It's again sort of speculation on what you can expect from franchises, but it's all pretty straightforward. But I want to add this caveat for you this does not happen in year one. The rookie mistake I see franchisees making is hitting the panic button during the first 12 months. Honestly, as I grow my franchise pinks windows and I'm going to reference this a lot as an existing franchise owner I'm not planning to take a lot of money out of the business in the first couple of years, because if you really want to achieve maximum success and I'm talking about a really healthy franchise you can make a lot of money from you really want to kind of plan for the long term. It doesn't mean you're not going to make any money. But those of you that go in thinking you're going to start minting cash in month six it's a mistake. You need to go in with a long view when it comes to investing in a franchise. I'd love to talk to you about it. Text me at 305-710050.

Speaker 1:

Next on the list and last on the list is Wave Max Laundry WaveMax. I must see someone buy WaveMax every single week, and it's been this way for years Now. What's interesting about WaveMax is it's not cheap. You're gonna spend a million bucks getting your WaveMax open and the average WaveMax I think they net about $220,000 a year. So you're looking at a five-year return on investment and some people might look at that and say, why would I do that? Why would I spend a million bucks? I'm gonna tell you why.

Speaker 1:

So WaveMax might actually be one of the best second franchises you can buy, meaning that you start with your home services franchise, you start with your automotive or your food franchise and then by year four you're making a lot of money and you owe Uncle Sam a lot of money. You can the WaveMax laundry machines actually qualify for a section 179 tax deduction, meaning that you can write off up to half a million dollars of your laundry machines. So this is something that I believe you can take the full. You can take the full deduction in year one or you can kind of amortize it over time. But that's why people buy WaveMaxes. You typically only need about one to two employees for WaveMax. It's a really, really simple business and there are high-need areas where WaveMaxes thrive. But again, this is one for a larger investor and if you follow our guidance in terms of investing in the right franchise, you can get there.

Speaker 1:

So imagine now you owe Uncle Sam a couple hundred thousand bucks. You go out and buy yourself a WaveMax. Well, now you've put that money that you were gonna pay taxes with and we definitely are not advocating you don't pay taxes. Pay your taxes, folks. But now, all of a sudden, you've sent some of that money to a business that can make you $200,000 a year once it reaches its point of profitability. This is how the game is played. You add assets that make sense, just like you do in real estate. I'd love to give you a free franchise consultation and tell you how we can save you $5,000 on WaveMax. I'd love to help you find your ideal franchise match, because we work with over 500 different franchises. But for today, folks, I'm Jack Johnson. This is your Franchise Market Watch. We'll see you next time.
