Reporting on a Wolf Creek Elementary trip to Rushville Public Library. 6th-grade Photojournalists, 13 students, teachers, bus drivers, and librarians attended. We explored, took pictures, and saw books organized by genre. Kids read their chosen books; some searched shelves, others used the card catalog. A second grader read about weather to a classmate. We ended with Ms. Della’s read-aloud, “Berenstain Bears: St. Patrick’s Day,” and each kid got a book and magazine. Students paid attention, each found an exciting book.
