Not The Easy Way: The Podcast is part of a project designed for young people (14+) that aims to help them to face the inevitable challenges of life by speaking up, mapping out what they value and who they want to become & taking positive actions towards a meaningful life. The podcast is hosted by educational and child psychologists, Dr. Peter D'Lima and Dr. Claire McGuiggan and will be of interest to young people, educators, parents, and anyone interested in how psychology can help people. The podcast will explore the following themes: Helping young people to have difficult but important conversations about social issues that affect them and society; tapping into what is meaningful and important to them to help them design their ideal future; enhancing their current life using positive psychology to support them to live full and active lives and be successful in achieving their aspirations.

Ed grew up in difficult circumstances, had low confidence in himself, and had struggles with alcohol and pornography. Now, he is a writer and helps young men around the globe to meet their aspirations. In this episode, we discuss masculinity and how it can be a powerful force that can be wielded in both positive and negative ways. Ed shares with us his views on developing masculinity positively, how masculinity is viewed in society today and whether young men and boys may need additional approaches to supporting their mental health and growth.
