Speaker 1:

oh yes, the future of jujitsu. I've seen it, joe. Oh, I had a premonition. Talk to me being the oracle. No, I, you know, I'm looking at heaps of other stuff going on. I'm looking at, you know, developments in ai and developments in technology and just thinking about where stuff goes. I was talking to a very smart technology person who's talking about llLMs, large language models, right, chat, gpt and the like, yeah, and he was saying you know, in the future, apps won't be a thing. In the future there will be. You'll have your own version of Google search or your own version of chat GPT, but it will be for you.

Speaker 1:

So, let's say you're interested in sharpening blades. It will say hi, joe, what would you like to do today? Would you like to sharpen some chisels? Here's the latest techniques. And it will just tell you, like, just walk around. It will just tell you what you need to know. You're like, ah, fuck, I don't know how to solve this problem. I'll solve it for you because it knows you, fuck, we're going to turn into a bunch of dumb cunts, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

But then the argument comes that we become integrated, like they talk about the singularity, the hybridization of homo sapiens and technology. And there's plenty of people to argue that us with smartphones is already a cyborg of sorts, because you know we don't need math, we've got calculators on our phones. You know we don't need to know shit, we just need to find it. But here's how I see the future of jiu-jitsu. Right now, the biggest limitation on on brazilian jiu-jitsu is your training partner or your coach. Like, or both. Yeah, like. If you don't have a training partner to work with and you don't have a coach, you don't have a training partner to work with and you don't have a coach, you don't have a physical way to get better and you don't have the technical information to improve.

Speaker 1:

But imagine this, because this is what this gentleman was saying to me he's like you need to AI yourself. You need to create the AI version of you so anyone can train with you. I'm like that would be an abusive AI bot. Hey, jt, you need to create the AI version of you so anyone can train with you. Right? I'm like that would be an abusive AI bot. Hey, jt, what am I eating today? Shut the fuck up, you're not fucking eating today. Lose some weight, bitch. That would be my AI. Yeah, it would be very similar. It would be like probably it would only need like six different lines, that's it. It's like wow, I don't like this.

Speaker 1:

But imagine bear with me that you have the AI version of Andre Galvan or whichever Fabio Gurgel, and it's Star Wars. So you've got like a little holographic projection, except instead of it could be like a little um, google home appliance and it projects the, like a little disc that projects the image. So the coach is standing there watching you, yeah, and gives you feedback. Now that could be me. It could be you. You're doing the bulletproof program at home, except you're like no, I don't like the abusive jt, I'm going to switch over to joey. Joey's voice is getting annoying. Switch to Raylene, and then so you and they literally that holographic representation of the person will actually be able to observe, from senses in the thing, your motion and say, oh, hey, look, you see how you did that. I need you to lift your chest up a bit more. This will be applicable for Jiu Jitsu. You will be able to get the Cade Rotolo. You know, instead of you getting the BJJ fanatics instructional, you now have Cade Rotolo as your coach, yeah, and so you start practicing whatever his moves are, and he gives you feedback via this holographic AI LLM. What are you drilling it with?

Speaker 1:

Here's what we're going to talk about Jiu-Jitsu robots. I said it, jesus, I think I just disconnected mine. I've just got to stop doing that on the sound desk. Sorry, I'm just getting enthusiastic. Man had one guy in the comments on YouTube. Go, I just struggle to really keep up with the guy in the hat. I don't know what he's thinking. You and tube go, I just struggle to really keep up with the guy in the hat. I don't know what he's thinking. You and me both, bro. I said man, just try and keep up with my fucking caffeine intake, bro, if you have as many copies as I have, then you'll know where my head is at out of space.

Speaker 1:

But, um, right now there is a company in america which is is innovating humanoid robots for packing, for doing human tasks. We're not just talking MIT, like robot horse looking things or like kind of robots that do backflips and run over obstacles. We're talking about something that looks like a human, that can fold clothes, pack them and send them to you. Wow, can lift boxes. We'll basically take over white collar jobs. Wow, yeah, there's. There won't be like. This is. This is happening right now? Blue collar, yeah, blue collar work. So right now, ai is chewing up the white collar jobs. It's like oh, you're a lawyer. Yeah, the next step on this? Factory workers. Yeah, I think it's called the company. I could be wrong. I think it's called Feature.

Speaker 1:

This guy's raising a couple billion dollars right now. He's got a factory in the middle of nowhere and they are building these humanoid robots to do the repetitive tasks. So humans will not do them. Fucking hell. And you know what he said. His number one competition is Like what? Elon Right? His number one competition is like what Elon right cars. He's like don't worry about a car.

Speaker 1:

Imagine you could buy a robot and send it to work for you, right? So then that's something else too. In the same way, in the future, if there's automated cars, you could. If you are a car owner, if you choose to do that, you can have your car earn you money, like earn you rent while you're. While you choose to do that, you can have your car earn you money, like earn you rent. While you're not using it, you can charge Massive income, baby.

Speaker 1:

Well, I don't know. Here we are. This is the dream, sort of. But yeah, no, there's this idea in the future that not everyone will have jobs. I don't know what that economy looks like, right? So anyway, I go Interesting observation on that from my Marxist economist buddy. Please on that from my, uh, marxist economist buddy. Oh, yeah, it's a good time. Yeah, so that guy was talking about when we're talking podcast last time, richard wolf. Yes, well, I love to listen to a marxist economist. My mom actually likes him. Oh, does she? Yeah, right on me and her got into a funny discussion. Have you listened to him yet? I have not, but it's hard not to like no, but, um, yeah, but he was just talking about that.

Speaker 1:

Someone asked him about AI and he said he said, well, here's, here's how it works. He said in a, in a, in a worker co-op, which is a worker focused business, right, and he talks about these. There's a. There's a huge Spanish company. It's, I think it's the largest contributor to spent to the Spanish GDP. Okay, it's to the spanish gdp. Okay, it's a huge organization and it's a worker co-op. It's essentially a socialist company, right, where basically it just means that the workers have a vote in what the company does. That's cool, right? Yeah, so it's not like they still make money, they do all that shit. They participate in capitalism, yes, but the workers have some power. Yeah, it's more theocratic, democratic. Yeah, the workers, they vote for the manager, all that sort of shit.

Speaker 1:

And he was saying so when you know, with ai technology, like you know, coming as it is, he said, in a worker co-op situation, those companies will be able to use ai to replace the workers, which means that the workers can now enjoy their life more. So, instead of having to work 10 hours a day, they can work three and the company can continue doing what it does and the workers can have more time to themselves. He said in, but in a classic capitalist company, all of the workers lose their jobs because the capitalist is always looking for a way to increase their margin. Yeah, and that's basically it. And I was like fuck, that's a really interesting observation.

Speaker 1:

Like, of course, it's very simple, but you're like, yeah, that makes sense. Like everyone's going to lose their job. Yeah, well, it's not that everyone will lose their jobs, it's just the jobs will have to be different. Yeah, but you would have to say that I mean, of course, there will be new jobs, right? Well, you're going to become a robot technician? Yeah, but not enough to replace the amount ofโ€ฆ. No, definitely the change will be that not everybody will have work, but there will be different work, right, yeah?

Speaker 1:

So people are like, oh, automated cars, like fuck Taxis. You know, poor old taxis, taxi drivers are going to learn how to fucking fix an automated car. Like they'll become automated car mechanics. Like there will always be work. And some of them are like, yeah, but if we work on solar, poor old miners, what are they going to do? Like, bro, work it out. There'll be new jobs. Like more of them will be creative.

Speaker 1:

You know, like that's kind of sure, but I, but I don't think that and I don't necessarily think it's a problem, but they won't. I don't. Like we are. I think the network that humans need to do will be reduced. Oh, it will, right? So there's going to be a bunch of motherfuckers on this planet that are like twiddling their thumbs. So we need to figure out well, how do what do we? I don't think a bunch of people will be twiddling their thumbs. I still believe, depending on the society you live in, your life will get better somehow, according to how you want to live it. But the job might be that you become. You know, professions are going to change.

Speaker 1:

But this is what I want to say relevant to jujitsu. Like, let me try and circle back around to my original thought there will be a jiu-jitsu robot. Yeah, so you will be able to train with a jiu-jitsu robot and you will be able to set the skill level. You'll also be able to set the strength level. Blue belt spaz mode no, that's the most dangerous mode there is. I'm going to lose a limb here. And you know I put this actually to an ai group at sydney uni.

Speaker 1:

I said could you teach an ai algorithm to do jiu-jitsu? Where are you talking to the students at sydney uni? What's well? No, no, I just fucking. What do you mean? Like I'm a bjj. So after the lecture that I gave last week, I asked my students no, no, no, because I'm interested in this shit like, where did you put it to them? I on a, on a, like a on a forum at Sydney uni. Because they they said, oh, what are your, what's your interest in AI and robotics? And I was, like can you teach an AI robot Brazilian jujitsu? And anyway, the responses were pretty minimal. But I'm going to go there and talk. I am intent on helping there be a BJJ robot. It's going to fucking happen. I'm going to Luke Skywalker up as a zoom, right, I'm just waiting for guys by the end of the year I don't know if it's in the next three or six months, no. But for example, go with me on this. I think it makes sense.

Speaker 1:

Moore's law right. It's like there's a halving right Everything the productivity, however many years. There's a Now they're saying there's a point at which we hit the singularity, which is where technology and humans combine consciousness and technology and we become gods and some weird shit. But if we're talking about phones and we look at phones compared to computers in the 80s or in the 70s, where computers were worth millions of dollars and they took up a whole fucking room, now we have really powerful computers in our pockets and we play video games and porn. It's so dumb, right?

Speaker 1:

I honestly believe that at a critical point point, the limitation of a training partner and a coach is not what jujitsu will be right. Eventually, robots will be cheap enough that you could have a robot jujitsu coach, yep. Or you could have a virtual jujitsu coach of whoever you want, any famous coach in the history of jujitsu, provided they've given permission to have their likeness and their their brain uploaded to this thing. Yeah, and then you will roll with a robot at home and we will probably see the first ever jujitsu champion who never trained with a real person. By the same token, I believe it goes a step further, where we see an AI robot grappling a world champion and beating them in the same way we had it with chess, with deep blue, in the same way we had it with go Yep, um, this is what.

Speaker 1:

This is where it's going, cause I think jujitsu is actually the most complex game. We just haven't figured out the hardware version Right. Once they figure that out, then it's over. We will have trained the BJJ terminators, mikey Musumechi, as a robot game over. No, so this is, this is the future, and you know I'm I'm interested in it because I think it'll move Jiu Jitsu forward. I just don't know if it moves as close as to the apocalypse. Yeah, I can't help but feel like it's going to, but yeah, it's going to be a fascinating ride until then, yes, well, there you go, guys. Keep your eye on the Bulletproof store for the version one of the Jiu-Jitsu Robot, available soon. It's just me in fucking aluminium. Yeah, thanks y'all.
