EPISODE 6

00:30 James Quinn

Hello and welcome to our next episode of the current series of Relaxing Piano Playlist with your host James Quinn here at the piano, thank you very much for joining me. In this episode you’re going to hear six pieces ranging from a wide variety of composers ranging from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and the 20th century periods.

The first piece you will hear comes from Johann Sebastian Bach, in this case, Prelude No.22 in B Flat minor, from his first book of the Well-Tempered Clavier.

After this we go to the classical composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and the piece you’ll hear comes from his fourth Piano Sonata in E Flat Major, and this is from his first movement, which is set to the speed of Adagio.

The next pieces comes the composer Frederic Chopin, and this pieces comes from his set of Preludes Opus 28, in this case is his Prelude in F Sharp Major.

The next piece comes from a new composer added to the series, which is Pyotr Tchaicovsky and the piece is his Impromptu in A Flat Major.

We now go to our next piece by Alexander Scriabin, and this is a short piece called Nuances.

Finally, we return to Claude Debussy again to finish off, and the piece you’ll hear comes from his second book of Images. It’s French title et la lune descend sur le temple qui fit translates as And the moon descends on the temple that was.

So to recap, here is the order just once more: Prelude No.22 in B Flat minor by J.S Bach, first movement from Piano Sonata Number 4 by in E Flat Major by Mozart, the Prelude in F Sharp Major from Op.28 by Chopin, Tchaicovsky’s Impromptu in A Flat Major, Scriban’s Nuances, and finally et la lune descend sur le temple qui fit from the second book of the Images by Claude Debussy.

So sit back, relax, and I hope you all enjoy the music. Thank you.
