So two quick things. One, we're not gonna be as hot as we were the past couple days. Like we're out of the 90s phase, although it's still pretty dang muggy, and we're already at 71 degrees. We haven't even gotten through up to 10 o'clock yet in 71. So I mean, you Are we getting rain today? It's a 40% chance. It doesn't look like it's a guarantee. Tomorrow, not bad, 64. Uh, even Friday is near 70. Saturday is like it's up in the air. I mean, it looks like it's gonna be showers and cooler. I'm really hoping that maybe a little of that'll get out of here, but then it starts to improve again. So it the whole long weekend's not a washout. Okay, very good, very good. Second thing. Uh Tiffany just sent me a picture of this. They're beginning to finally get rid of the rubble from the old burned out Duncan that was over on Chambers Road. Really? Yeah, they got the trucks and everything over there right now. It's coming out.
SPEAKER_02Then how come they still have that rubble over where so you know where Empire Sports is?
SPEAKER_01Oh, the old church that came down.
SPEAKER_02Correct.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, well, I can answer that a little bit. When um Chris Moss? Yeah, when Chris was in, he was telling me that the state's involved in that because it was such an old build- I mean that was a hundred-year-old church. Well, you gotta figure the building material out there. Duncan's probably like 20 years old. Yeah, if that. Yeah. Uh so you you're dealing with like asbestos and removal, and they have to be really, really smart the way they do it. Because I mean, on paper, you're thinking, roll in the dump trucks, let's make it a park. It's one of these things if you start disturbing it the wrong way or you don't handle it the right way. All of a sudden I'm walking by and I'm like, uh next thing you know, we got 911 style, you know, problems here where probably feels like how they do in California with the wildfires.
SPEAKER_02Oh my god. Choking like crazy. Another little I actually have two little local local updates. Give us the local update on the accident that happened yesterday at the end of the show. You said what a sad story.
SPEAKER_01All right. I don't have every detail on this. This was a this is through a series of conversations that people had noticed it, but apparently it was a motorcycle from people that had driven by. Um, the motorcycle was pretty badly wadded up into the guardrail. And the really sad part about it was, and this is well, and because there's a couple things that come into play here. We have had such a a cruddy spring that we're not a hundred percent used to motorcycles being out yet. Right. You know, and they are now you start to hear them, and it's tough because uh, you know, we have to be a different level of observant. You know, we do this every time school starts, the school year starts, we said, Don't forget, you're gonna see buses, you're gonna see walkers, this is gonna throw you off because you've had multiple months where it wasn't there. Well, the same as in is really the case for the motorcycle folk, uh, because you know, of course you're gonna get those people that ride crazy, you know, and and speed, but in there's also the group of people that are responsible, they just want to be out for a ride, and we have to remember to look for them because they were giving the guy CPR on the highway yesterday.
SPEAKER_02Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_01They uh the people And I have no idea what the outcome was. I do not know if the gentleman or individual m survived or not. I have no clue.
SPEAKER_02Gotcha. No, the people that you have to worry about on the road is usually the people in the cars, not the motorcycles. Well, that's just it. And speaking of, so yes, look twice before you pull out from any uh intersection or when you're passing lanes. And I think that's a good time to bring up that there's even gonna be some larger motorcycle rides that we will be highlighting that are gonna come up this summer. We have Pride Ride coming up uh in June, and then we have True Pride coming up July 18th.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So when you see those large rides, remember they're 99%, 99.9% tied to a charity as well. So they're doing something good. No, absolutely. Please respect the and and and share the road respectfully.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, just in general. We gotta be alert.
SPEAKER_02I know it does it it it creates a little bit of um delay for where you have to go, but you know, they're doing it for something so great. Now, speaking of another local thing, I'm at my parents' house. I'm I'm flying out of Vegas from Cleveland because well, it was the cheaper option, and I was at my parents' house on last Wednesday evening. And what do Mark and Gail like to do? They love watching Jeopardy.
SPEAKER_01It's on almost every night at my house, too. Not because I'm glued to it, but I'm like, I'm doing dishes, I'm like whatever. I just haven't switched it, you know?
SPEAKER_02No, no, me and my parents, we were we were glued to it. I'm sitting I'm sitting on the couch, yes. And there was a local question that came up. Oh so it was me and my mom were sitting. My dad was doing something else in the other room. Me and my mom were sitting there, and I said, Mom, rewind it. I want to record this. This is all.
SPEAKER_01Oh, she rewinded it on her VCR?
SPEAKER_02On her they have they have on-demand TV. Oh, because they're not that old. All right. So take a listen to the question, and then you're gonna hear my dad walk in the room, okay? Here we go.
SPEAKER_00These long, roughly parallel lakes in upstate New York got their anatomical name for their resemblance to a handful of digits. Finger lakes!
SPEAKER_01And no, he cannot answer. You wanna know why? It wasn't in the form of a question. That's right! The man is the one in the market. Finger! Finger lakes!
SPEAKER_02Give that to me again. He just walks in the room.
SPEAKER_00Okay, here we go. These long, roughly parallel lakes in upstate New York got their anatomical name for their resemblance to a handful of digits. Finger lakes!
SPEAKER_01Um then immediately turn to your dad and go. Anyway, our next act is no stranger to our stage, all the way from the finger licks.
SPEAKER_02It's the Maharella sisters. And you know what they say about the finger licks. At first, you might only want one finger, but soon you'll be asking for all five.
