I had said that, you know, it it just worked out that the kids have an eye appointment this morning. So uh it's a little shorter for me here in the building today. I plan on doing my stuff a little bit later as I get back, but I also plan on on having the kids back in school pretty quick after even though I gotta drive the flippin' a we go. Uh it's uh it once we're done with the appointment, oh no, the next stop is a McDonald's drive-thru, and then the stop after that is their schools.

SPEAKER_00

And I can't believe you're so uncool. Gail would be like, um, we're done for the day. We're gonna go get a McDonald's milkshake and we're gonna go home and watch TV and have a great day. Well, 1132, take them kids out of school for the day, Scott. If the doctor was in Elmira, different story. This is a haul. Oh, we go, and no one wants to go to school after that. If I have to take time off for an appointment, it's an all-day. My kids and I are having an adventure. And I even said to Scott, there's Well, would you like to babysit?

SPEAKER_01

Because I still have to make my paycheck. Well, please.

SPEAKER_00

Please, no one even looks to see what you're doing.

SPEAKER_01

Shut up.

SPEAKER_00

That is so true. Uh never when you leave flex. Never, never when you leave early does somebody say, Where's Scott? Yeah, I know. My stuff's done. If I please, if I if I leave early, I get if I leave early, I get 1900 phone calls. Wait, here's things to do in a weego. I see, I'm having- I'm not interested in doing things. I'm interested in getting into the eye doctor and getting back. You're not interested in going to the um black cat gallery? What the hell's that? I have no clue. I've never been there.

SPEAKER_01

Or to how does the how do they keep the lights on with a name like that? What do they do?

SPEAKER_00

Or the or Tyoga Gardens to get 19 plants.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, wow. You could do Now you sold me.

SPEAKER_00

You could do paintball with the kids today. Oh, yeah. Oh, wait, actually, this is a good stock.

SPEAKER_01

I'm really shocked you didn't start with the brewery you love out there. I'm I'm surprised you didn't know the name of it.

SPEAKER_00

Well, no, I was gonna suggest this is for the kids, but there is beer there too, but you're not necessarily into this. No. Oh, the Oego Donut and Beer Company, their donuts are so good. We took Danielle for her 40th birthday, and oh my God, that will just lay you on the floor. You just eat one bite and you're like, I'm dead. That was so good.

SPEAKER_01

But I was asking, do you guys take them back or not? So Natalie, um, you know, I mean, okay. So she just volunteered to babysit if I keep them out. No, I'm taking them back.

SPEAKER_00

And then let's see, my parents made our appointments at the end of the day, so we didn't miss school. All right, Elizabeth.

SPEAKER_01

Hold your water in a perfect world, you like that, hold your water. Uh-huh. In a perfect world, that would be the case. Yes, I'd be taking them, you know, either maybe out of school an hour early.

SPEAKER_00

Let's be real. Scott's trying to get out of work early.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah. No, they their original appointment, and I'll tell you exactly how this worked, was like in September. And when when they so they I love when doctor's offices do this. You're due for your annual appointment. Okay, you call, you go to make the appointment. Well, we're booking out until September. You just emailed me and said I'm due. So now we're booking. Oh my God. Yeah. So I'm like, well, all right, book it into September. And then yearly checkup is like year and a halfly checkup. Easy. And then they uh uh I got it. Uh but then they called and they're like, well, we can move it up. And I'm like, all right, actually, let's let's do this. So yeah, in a perfect world, I mean, I'm attempting to do to do mostly later in the day type, you know, appointments. It doesn't always work like that. Not everyone, shocker. You're right. Not everyone works to my schedule. I know they should, but not everyone does.

SPEAKER_00

Believe me, they don't, because everyone calls between uh 6 and 10 a.m. Yeah, pretty much. So then wait, Tiffany says when I would take jewels to the orthodontist, we would have a lunch date and then go back to school or go shopping. Okay, so there there's both things that are happening here.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

My mom was, it wasn't even that we we necessarily always did anything, but it's we just went home and it was like, oh man, I feel like breaking I'm breaking the law because I'm home at 1230.

SPEAKER_01

So can I bring up one other point? Of course. We just came off snow give back days Friday and then on Tuesday. So I'm like, at least a little bit of routine this week might be nice. Just a little. That's you know, my parenting thought process.

SPEAKER_00

And then wait, hold on a second. Mike says, uh, keep those kids out of school.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, stop it.

SPEAKER_00

Partial day at the end of the year is a small win for the kids. That's exactly right, Mike.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, it's Elmiro. We still go to school until July 15th. Oh my God, you're right. We have another month. There's another month of school. Like, they ain't done learning yet. Clearly, neither am I.
