Hey, uh because we know this um well, you know, like the EDA grade levels, you know, we're talking like that seventh, eighth, you know, or let's say grade seven up through high school start a little bit later than some of the early kids. I'm gonna share a story with you in a few minutes that I want you to be able to hear because it's a big warning for parents. And, you know, I mean we all go through phases where our kids do something and we're like, oh God, that was dumb.

SPEAKER_00

Or we look back on our life and we go, Wow, how did I survive?

SPEAKER_01

That I want you to keep that in mind right there. How did I survive? Because one kid almost didn't, and it's a viral trend right now. And I'm a little nervous about it because we like to, shall we say, test stupid skills.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah. I did it my whole teenage career.

SPEAKER_01

Hello.

SPEAKER_00

This is Amanda.

SPEAKER_01

All right, Amanda, what's going on? What can we do for you? Um, I hear you're looking for a selling bee champ. All right, let's do it. Let's do it. Let's do this, Amanda. Now, here's the thing. We're gonna give you three. You gotta do two out of three, okay? Uh, it could be could be a business in the Twin Tiers, could be a uh a town, a county. Uh, you you you get where I'm going here. It could be it could be anything around us here in the twin tiers, okay?

SPEAKER_00

Okay. All right. I'm gonna I'm gonna start a little tough.

SPEAKER_01

All right.

SPEAKER_00

Cohocton.

SPEAKER_01

Ooh, okay. Ooh, that's a tough one.

SPEAKER_00

Uh-huh. Uh T-O H O C T O S. You gotta be. That's a good start.

SPEAKER_01

I'm gonna keep it tough. Gill it, even though it should be Gillette. I agree. I agree. My husband is from down in Lockhaven and he calls it Gillette. Oh, does he really? The further south you go in PA, the smarter they get.

SPEAKER_00

I just realized because I had to Google this too, by the way. I've been spelling it wrong for 20 years. You have? I have been. All right.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I I believe it is G-I-L-L-E-T-T. Baby! Boom! There's two in a row. All right, I'm gonna throw you an easy one because you get all three of these right. You literally can have tickets to all three shows, okay? So if if we if you're just at the two, we've got choices for you. But I'm gonna go for three. Let's see if we can do the trifecta. Are you ready? Yep. This is a simple yeah, uh simple yes or no. Does Libs restaurant have two B's or one? Well, that's easy. That's just one bee. Oh! One bee and a lot of garlic. Triple threads!

unknown

Yeah!

SPEAKER_01

All right, you got it all. So that means you're getting Ashanti tickets, which is next Friday. You're getting Darius Rucker tickets, which is next Saturday, but that's at a different location. Yeah. You gotta go up to um CMAC.

SPEAKER_00

C Mac. And then tomorrow you're going to the dog show at Lee Con. How about that?

SPEAKER_01

My son is gonna love the dog show. I think my kids are too. How old is your son? Uh, he's just shy of two, but he loves anything with four legs. Oh, I'm so glad you won. This is great. All right, hold on just a minute. And three, two, one. You're listening to Scott and Allie. Scott and Allie's big three.

SPEAKER_00

I have so much stuff for this morning that I think we're gonna have to like break apart some of this and cover it throughout the rest of the morning, too, because there's just so much. First, we'll start with this. JD Vance says the US and Iran remain, quote, very close to an agreement, but they haven't finalized terms yet. The proposed deal would extend the ceasefire for 60 days and begin nuclear discussions. The deal reportedly includes unrestricted passage through the Strait of Hormuz and lifting the U.S. blockade. Now, uh surprisingly, electric vehicles and hybrids now represent 25% of global new car sales. In 2020, it was only 4%. It's made a huge, huge jump. And the CDC issued an urgent request for employee volunteers to screen passengers from Congo and Uganda for Ebola.

SPEAKER_01

They they're looking for people to do the screening.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, well, you know, I love money.

SPEAKER_00

But do I love it that much?

SPEAKER_01

You know, this is something that's I love the sick poops, no.

SPEAKER_00

I can't even tell you how many times there has been just various things that come up. And hey, Scott or Alley, would you like to do it? Da-da-da-da-da-da. And you know, sometimes there's money attached. Yeah. And sometimes we go, oh, I love money, but not that. Like, remember that bar gig when I first moved here?

SPEAKER_01

Can you tell me which one was that? What was the bar gig?

SPEAKER_00

It was there was somebody who was a felon who was trying to hire me to host a bar gig down in the valley.

SPEAKER_01

That is very valley-esque 20 years ago.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. And I was like, I love money, but maybe not that much. You're a felon, and your crime is way too harsh for me to say yes to this.

SPEAKER_01

Just so that I feel a little uh comfortable in my decision that I'm not gonna go do a part-time gig of Ebola screening. Could you Google the symptoms for me of the old Ebola? Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_01

Just kind of curious here.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, here we go.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Typically, uh-huh, it appears suddenly two to twenty one days after exposure, and you're gonna get things like a severe headache, sore throat, loss of appetite. Now, the pro that's the initial phase. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Then let's talk about so far that's every other day. But anyway.

SPEAKER_00

The Cleveland Clinic says you also will start to have vomatosis and you know.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, it's I I think I remember that they had the uh sick poops in there.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, and then you also will start to get a uh a tummy ache, and then you get this red rash, and then all of a sudden, if we get to the advanced or severe phase, that's where it you live that long, you're gonna get unexplained bleeding or bruising, chest pain, and confusion. Oh my gosh. Then organ failure, and then you die. Oh, kind of here's a Go ahead. Those are the three phases.

SPEAKER_01

Those are the three phases. Yeah, I'm gonna pass on that. I don't really I now somebody else can go do that.

SPEAKER_00

I love money, but reminds me of this classic. Ebola every time.
