What was the vibe 20 years ago?

Two very quick things, and then we'll we'll come to the vibe. There is obviously a theme in movies. We were not wrong of hoods flying open on cars. Yes. Also want to thank Mike. Blues Brothers had the scene too. I've never seen that movie either. That's one of those ones that's I mean, I think it came out in like 1980s, so you know it's I wasn't even born yet. That movie was absolutely an era-based. If you were of an age, you the you still quote the Blues Brothers. It's a classic, and I still haven't seen it. But I also found out the other day that my parents have because I've never seen The Godfather, right? Yeah, oh I I can also understand that. But also a classic. Yeah. But my parents told me the other day, neither have them have seen The Godfather either. I could see that though, because your parents are a little more um oh uh of the conservative religion line. Yeah, but they're not. But they're not? My parents are not conservative. Religion. The uh they okay, so they yes. In the religious realm. No, just like they're not uh they're not very they're not very stringent on how do I say this? Well, I could see that being a movie that just wouldn't grab. Jigzus wouldn't approve of. I get to see, you know what I'm saying? Like, I can see that being one, okay, maybe Maybe that goes a little too far. Scarface might have been one of those ones that also they might have missed. I'll have to ask them if they've ever seen Scarface. The other thing I was gonna tell you, too. I have really good news for everybody that's been emailing and texting and everybody else. Uh, Chief Engineer Aaron yesterday called me. I don't know, it must have been about three. Uh new guy, by the way, who comes on the scene with unfortunately a dumpster fire of a situation where something fails on our transmitter. Poor guy. Yeah, I mean, they had to do what they had to do. They had to get the parts, and you know, sometimes it's like the check, it's in the mail, you don't know when. Anyway, the great news was he called me yesterday. We are back to 100% power. So if you had static, if you had things happening that you're like, I I can't hear you guys. If it, like I said, if you listen on Wink, we're on jams and magic too. But yeah, because even Snoopy D, our Uber driver, said, Good morning, my friends. Good thing I have the app because they come from Tawanda every day. Ah, we're back. Yep, and has been having trouble with that. But anyway. Anyway, so Tanya sent this text message in saying, I need to know what the vibe of the radio station was 20 years ago because I'm 20. And it's crazy you guys have been doing this the entire time I've been alive. I do you want to go first? Do you want me to go first? Um, I I guess I could go first. I I don't know that there was a huge different vibe. I I mean, uh to me, it I don't know. This is a hard one for me to say because I can answer it. Okay, you go and I'll see if I can see if it sparks something for you. The chemistry was there from day one. Oh, that that's very true. It was always something. As soon as I walked in the room, we just we it we took off running and we got along really well from the interview. And that was the day that we had Chef William here and Dick Buchanan and Brad from Hazlitz, and it was just sort of a wild time, like right away. So much fun, so much fun. And then Scott said, can you be here in eight days? And I arrived eight days later. Yeah. So, as far as that vibe, I think that I was so nervous. I remember being so nervous, and our studio looked different than how it looks now. I think we still were like definitely vibing, but it was different than the interview because I was like, oh my gosh, I'm actually really doing this now. Yeah. And at the time, Scott was a little bit more of a parental role because I was a shocker. Right? Because I was 23. This was like my first full-time job out of college, and you really don't know how to do it until you do it. Like I had done producing, so I was never the I was never the main mic when I did my previous jobs. So I it was it just felt different, you know? So that's what I think about it. Was it was more of a parental figure. Well, I was a little more seasoned in my life. I had a few more years of radio under my belt at that point. I was staring down my first divorce. Well, my only divorce, I never got married again. Staring down your first divorce. It wasn't happening that soon after I got here. I know, I'm kidding. In 2006, you guys weren't getting a divorce yet. I mean, her behavior really is screamed divorce. But I wish I wish I could say. Can I tell the thing about her always calling the hotline? Oh my god. Why did I ask you to get it? Am I allowed to say this or not? I don't care. It's okay. So she I think I've been divorced longer than I've been married now. She would, we have this thing called the hotline where you can get directly into the studio. And she would call all the time, like yelling at Scott for things that I'm like, here I am. I'm a I'm a baby, I'm a baby here. And I'm like, what is going on? So finally I call your old co-host and I was like, Did you have this problem too? Where his wife would call and be like, So finally, I had to put I feel like this is where I first put my foot down on something. And I said, She cannot call here anymore. I do because it was. Tell me about it. I wish she could have forgotten the number. Because it was ruining the vibe of the show. Sure. But other than that, well, she had two things going on. She had Lucille Ballitis, where she thought she was always gonna be part of the show. Remember, remember the old I Love Lucy? Yes. And the other part of it is in all seriousness, and I swear to God, I am not being in any way derogatory, and I wouldn't do that to somebody. I'm pretty sure there was a diagnosed degree of bipolarism. Oh, I could see that for sure. Oh, okay. Also, I love 3386. Now the student has become the master. Oh let's not go that far, but all right.
