So Tiffany just texted me this. Uh she goes, if you did rip something, you have a two-day window to have it checked out. So what happens after the two days? Do I just start healing, you know, but sort of not right? But I'm I'll start feeling better soon because that works.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I would think so.
SPEAKER_00Well what am I gonna do? Am I going to the uh next Olympics? Yeah, if I'm selling hot dogs.
SPEAKER_01But your kids are young and you want to be able to still be active with them.
SPEAKER_00I think you should- I don't want to have a GIMP.
SPEAKER_01Right. I I think that my mom has a GIMP right now. She has a she's actually having back surgery coming up in June, and it's something with her pinched nerve. It's very weird to see her not the go-getter that she always is. Uh-huh. I think that you should go to the ED today.
SPEAKER_00I I don't have it's the ER. Stop updating uh things together.
SPEAKER_01Wait a second, but this came from 9383. Going back to ER versus ED, it's a department, not a room in the hospital. So it is ED. My husband works there and it took me a long time.
SPEAKER_00We don't need to change it. We we already had ER the TV show. We already have, you know, it's been generations that it's been the ER. I know it's a whole department.
SPEAKER_01Before the show, did you guys call it ED?
SPEAKER_00Before uh before the show.
SPEAKER_01I feel like the show.
SPEAKER_00Before ER the show, you mean uh first time like this show? No.
SPEAKER_01No, no, like I it makes me I know that ER popularized ER, right? So I thought, well, maybe before the show everybody called it ED.
SPEAKER_00I don't think so. I think, and somebody else had mentioned, and I'm trying to find the text in here because well, we get quite a few that come in on our app, just so you guys know. Uh that's how you text us every day. They were even feeling the frustration of we're changing the names of everything just to change the names of them. Come on, you know.
SPEAKER_01You know, sometimes you evolve and things get better. It just depends.
SPEAKER_00Well, I don't think it's better because E D is something different. Okay. ED. It's always gonna be ED is always gonna be like, Yeah, you know, I mean, yes, exactly. And that's something you don't want. Well, you don't want to go to the ER or the ED, but you also don't want ED.
SPEAKER_01Here's another one that I always think is. Whenever you hear an ED commercial, I love how they will say instead of testosterone, they'll be like, Do you have low T?
SPEAKER_00Low T.
SPEAKER_01Lower T.
SPEAKER_00No, he's a rapper opening up for Ashanti tonight. Low T. No, that's that's Trey Songs. No, well, all right, there's that's true too. You're right. Maybe it's DJ. He'll be the DJ. Low T.
SPEAKER_01Something else that's been going on in the Twin Tiers lately, and I keep hearing everyone talk about it, is oh my gosh, make sure you check for ticks.
SPEAKER_00Oh, everybody. We've had multiple coworkers that have had tick bites recently and had to go get treatment for it in the ER. The DR? ER.
unknownThe DR.
SPEAKER_01From a DR. I was about to say. I was about to say the person's name who recently had to have it done, but I don't I don't want to call them out.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you don't need Stacey calling you today saying all of a sudden, hey, we have a HIPAA violation.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. But this person, their leg was had this huge red bump. I don't know. Was it a bump or is it a kind of yeah?
SPEAKER_00Well, anyway. Infestation. It's kind of good timing that we're talking about this because ticks honestly, and this is one of these cases, guys, where the Scott and Alley show takes a turn from the absurd to you might actually learn something here. Okay. So teach me. Came across this. And actually, this article is in the uh New York Post. We can share the link if you guys want even more on it. Sure. But they said these are some things to help you avoid getting, you know, tick bites, things like that. They say put a cerresto collar on. That too. They say uh maintain your yard. I guess this makes sense after I read it because they're like mow regularly and uh, you know, uh uh keep debris and stuff out of the way, you know, get it cleaned out. I'm such a freak about this. Well, it makes sense because of course you get longer blades of grass, it's easier for those things to touch you. The tick jumps on you, next thing you know, you got this giant goiter, uh, you know, tick goiter, whatever it is. This is where we stray a little bit from the official medical terms. But I'm with you. But you know, so that makes sense because you know, there are some people that might not be as good at keeping up at their yards as others. You know, you got that neighbor. I do. And uh couple of them. Now now you know. So maintaining.
SPEAKER_01Actually, one of them got called out on social media the other day. And we'll Right, but I honestly it's actually the city that has to take care of it because the person died. Oh I believe that's how that works. Yeah. And I'm like, did they like did did that house get skipped? I'm not sure.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that that that thing's gonna be tick city. They say uh uh choose the right ground cover. This is really interesting too. They say avoid mulch, leaf piles, or dense ground cover. Interesting because mulch just makes it look so pretty. Right. But well maybe, maybe there's maybe some people over mulch, and maybe that's what they're referring to.
SPEAKER_01This mulch is more tick infested than this mulch, okay. No, but you know how sometimes you think ticks p pick and choose? Well, obviously they did because we have a coworker, they're like, she's got some sweet meat.
SPEAKER_00There you go. No, I'm I'm thinking like the amount of cover of it. Like you sometimes a little mulch goes a long way.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Uh all right, let's see.
SPEAKER_01I don't know if you're right, but okay.
SPEAKER_00Here you go. This is the one. I didn't, I this almost sounds hippy-dippy, but I love this. Okay. Use a cedar oil spray. Spray uh shaded corners, uh, yard edges, fence lines, and uh areas where uh neighboring pets or wildlife can pass through.
SPEAKER_01But I want to know this is cedar oil safe for dogs? Well, it's gotta be. Yes. Cedar oil is generally safe for dogs when it is highly diluted, steam distilled, and used strictly topically on the coast. Yeah, you're gonna be able to do it.
SPEAKER_00Don't give them a shot of it.
SPEAKER_01Right, right, right. Okay, good, good, good. And what's the last one?
SPEAKER_00Uh plant tick repellent plants. Did you know? Here you go. Here's here's the word. Is it lemongrass? Lavender. Lavender! Yes! I got it. I'm good. So there you go. Already planted. Okay, good. Lavender, rosemary, and marigolds should be planted in an area you or your pets spend the most time in. And then they go on. There's one more. They go on to say add fencing to keep deer and other tick carrying uh creatures out of your yard. Yeah. And you have a fenced in yard. I have a fenced in yard. Yeah, but you get bears all the time. Yeah, but they don't climb the fence.
SPEAKER_01Oh, well, that's good. Everything else.
SPEAKER_00They're not coming. Yeah, they'll dump every garbage can in the uh street in the neighborhood, but they don't climb my fence.
SPEAKER_01Okay, imagine being a server. I'm gonna play you some audio next, and you get a big fat tip. You're like, yes, I finally got that fat tip I've always wanted. Fat tip. And then your company fires you for it. Oh. Yes. Wait, hold on. I'm gonna play that next.
