But I want your opinion on an argument my wife and I are having. Father's Day is two weeks away, and my two brothers called me and asked if we all wanted to get our families together to celebrate the day. My brother Andy said he'd host the party, so I said, great. And that was that. When I told my wife about the plans, she got really mad at me for not calling her first to run the plans by her. She didn't have a problem with the plans. She just wanted to be a part of making them. I thought this was crazy and brought up that she's never asked me if I'm okay with plans she makes on a regular basis.

I will make plans and then afterwards go, oh, and by the way, we're gonna I'm doing this. Right, we're gonna have dinner on such and such day with Sarah and Aaron. But if Zach did that to me, I'd be like, whoa, gotta consult that calendar, slow, slow it up here.

Is it consulting the calendar or is it I'm sorry, the way you read that, there's she he he even said he goes, can't really explain why. She said, can't really explain why. This is father. Okay, here's why I know there's an issue with somebody in the family. Either she doesn't like another sister-in-law, okay, or uh, you know, it it's gotta be something like that. There's gotta be something going on. Either words were had between another sister-in-law, or you know how sometimes some people just don't gel. They just don't, you know, you you never really feel great about you never get excited to be around them, you know. It it sometimes happens. Not every personality has to be, you know, able to cohesively have fun.

The reason I say that is is um it's Father's Day, and the reality to it is they're trying to make plans to celebrate with, you know, the Father for Father's Day, but then she wants to be consulted prior to that. This absolutely stems from something else that's happening in the family that she has an issue with and has not shared.

And I think it's more like me. I just have a control thing, and I want to make sure that and maybe she didn't have anything planned, maybe the wife didn't have anything planned, but maybe I was thinking about something.

But it's a weird, okay, so then somebody needs to, there has to be some rule put out in advance because this is an epidemic in relationships. I'm not talking about somebody not getting along with somebody or you having the control thing. If it was, let's say I was going golfing with Terry, yes, and let's say it was something that we did, you know, on a periodic but not real hard scheduled basis, and there are times you look at it, you go, Hey, you going golfing with Terry this weekend? Like it's already assumed, you know, but then this all of a sudden is the issue where you want to take that, you want to stand on the mountain and say, No, I should have been consulted first. Like, I'm gonna go ahead and guys get confused.

Because golfing is like Thursday after work for a couple hours. Or all day Sunday. Father's right, or but Father's Day plans are different. Father's Day plans are it's just bigger. Okay, so And that's what I think that's part of the issue that I have too is that when there's something big, maybe I wanted to do something big.

So as a guy, we have to sit there and go, if it's big, that well then you could have actually said in advance, hey, have you heard you knew Father's Day was coming. Or this could go for any holiday, it could go for 4th of July, could go in this case, it's trying to get the family together, which is where I keep coming back to. Something's going on. Okay. Uh, but it you know, you could also be as the person that wants this cons consultation. I do. Do you have any ideas for said holiday in advance?
