What what is this? Naive Monday that we're seeing the text come in that people are thinking to themselves that uh she had other plans that she was gonna surprise him with. People, the reason she was mad was because her husband said yes to plans that his brother made with his other brother, that his other brother is going to host a party that she's gonna have to go to for Father's Day. Wife has an issue with somebody else in the family, whether it's a sister-in-law, one of the other brothers, the mother-in-law, somebody somewhere is there's an issue somewhere. How are you so naive on this?
SPEAKER_01Well, because I kind of like what Candace has to say. I don't think she has an issue with family. I feel the same way. She said she doesn't have a problem with the plans themselves. It sounds like a control issue, and she's saying she can't explain why it's different. I feel that way.
SPEAKER_00But if I do it, it's like whoa, whoa, whoa.
SPEAKER_01And I love when Candace says, um, I feel the same way. And I I don't know how to explain it. I just don't like it when somebody else makes my plans for me, but I feel all entitled to do it for everyone else.
SPEAKER_00And you know why? You know why guys don't stand up to it and actually enforce the same rules that you do? Why? We're saving ourselves that fight. Let me tell you, in every guy's mind, they're sitting there going, she just made plans for us to go have Rose all day with her friend, uh, you know, uh Tisha, and I don't really give two craps about Tisha's husband. Like this guy's, you know, he's like a bump on a log, but yet I have to go and do that. But if I were to do it, oh, I don't like Brad. He's too wild.
SPEAKER_01Or I don't like Brad's wife. She's such a bitch.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's right.
SPEAKER_01Right. Don't make me go.
SPEAKER_00No, I'm kidding. I'm kidding. Ex-wife.
SPEAKER_01I think she was planning something secret for Father's Day with kind of a recurring theme.
SPEAKER_00Stop being naive. She is mad because she has somebody in the background that she isn't because she even said, I can't tell you right now. You know what that is? Is she could have literally gone, oh, okay, well, we can do that. I did have something I was working on. She didn't want to say anything because she's like, I don't know how to tell him that I hate his sister-in-law.
SPEAKER_01Uh, here's one. I like to float plans past my husband to see if he's in for it. But it's Father's Day, and he wants to do that with his brothers. He made a plan. I don't have to do anything. That is kind of a win.
SPEAKER_00That is. And let's remember this. Most women with Father's Day, if you were to announce, you love to take the stance with Father's Day. Hey, you know what? Uh, I'm the guy. Uh I guess I am the guy. Yeah. You come in and uh I'm gonna go golfing all day with uh Terry and Mike and uh John. Okay, good out of the hair. You know, you're hoping I do that so you don't have to come up with something.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, but then now I have to go because now all the family's gonna be at this cookout.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I know. You gotta put up with uh that sister. Brad's wife, you know.
SPEAKER_01I know, exactly.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, see? I'm telling you, you go be naive.
SPEAKER_01I I know that you think it's the sister-in-law or somebody else. I don't like people making plans for me. I'm sticking to my guns on this.
SPEAKER_00Heather goes, Wow, what's an idea? I'm just kidding. Three, two, one. You're listening to Scott and Allie. Scott and Allie's big three. Oh, I love this. Tiffany goes, I'd rather host the cookout because it'll be done correctly. LOL. Amen.
SPEAKER_01Oh, there is there's a control thing with that too. Yep.
SPEAKER_00But I get that part.
SPEAKER_01Yes. And you just want to stay home.
SPEAKER_00Well, I I don't I like going out, actually, to her mom's out in Hornell. That's fine.
SPEAKER_01Oh, then why did you make that comment?
SPEAKER_00I got all the gear out of the house. Right. I can't roll my smoker easily to her mom's house.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. There's houses that are made for parties, and there's houses that aren't. Like my house is made for parties. Right. And it will always be the best party ever. There you go. Yes, you're right. You're right. I don't want to take my smoker somewhere else.
SPEAKER_00That's a clear-cut reason. I don't have any problem with the family members.
SPEAKER_01More than one million people gathered in Madrid as the Pope led a mass celebrating Spain's Christian heritage. Now, the Pope urged Europe to recognize Christianity's role in shaping its culture, asking, is it seriously possible to believe that Europe would be the same without the influence of faith? Now, interestingly enough, this follows a Saturday vigil attended by 600,000 people. Oh. Didn't know so many people were religious like this. But I read this too, and I want to put these two things together. Just this morning, I read that eight Catholics leave the faith for every person that converts. Those numbers. Not bad.
SPEAKER_00They had, I think there's a bit of a resurgence in Catholicism, but there was also a period of time, and and I I saw this, I witnessed this, where the church might have dabbled a little too much politically in things.
SPEAKER_01Oh, I was thinking it was the um SAs of young boys.
SPEAKER_00No, it it was it it that didn't ruin it. I think a lot of people when you go to church, for a lot of people, yeah, you want to go and explore a piece of your faith and not necessarily have it intertwined with the political universe that we're seeing right now. Or being told which way to lean.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah, I've left a church for that reason.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, they there was a period of time I witnessed in one parish a lot of leaning towards you need to vote this way. It was actually back when the abortion stuff was going on. Obviously, hot button for Catholics, right? I get it. Also, outside of the church, I am my own person. Does that make sense?
SPEAKER_01Yes, it does. It does.
SPEAKER_00I think there's well, that's a whole that's I mean, that's a whole you know philosophical theological thing that we don't need to get into.
SPEAKER_01But that's more of a conversation that we'd have on the Not Fair podcast.
SPEAKER_00We we could, but I I can see where that that number looks the way that it does.
SPEAKER_01However, what it is is I think that uh they they definitely intertwine, but but some people have a they are interpreting interpreting interpreting interpreting the Bible one way and other people are interpreting it this way. Sure. So when you go to a church that they are interpreting it much differently than what you feel and believe, then it goes, oh, ew.
SPEAKER_00You you do. You feel like you lost something a little bit. Yes. Although it is, they are increasing, they are getting numbers back. So that's good.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god. When I was living over by what's that, what's the Catholic church over on First Street in Corning? Uh St. Mary's All Saints.
SPEAKER_00All Saints, sorry.
SPEAKER_01Yes, I was living by All Saints just for a short period of time. Man, that place is always bombing. Oh, it's packed.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you go to Mass for the masses? Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Made me want to be Catholic.
SPEAKER_00Anyway, it's a lot of kneeling, just be ready. I know, right? These are gonna go if you're as you get older.
SPEAKER_01Police in Toledo, Ohio are searching for suspects after a weekend shooting injured 12 people near the old West End festival. Now the chief said at least two shooters were quote, probably shooting at each other during this incident. Two victims remain in critical condition. The injured range, 14 years old to 61. Yes. And then one last one, I'll give you a quick real quick. CEO Elon Musk could become a trillionaire this week if SpaceX debuts on the Nasdaq on Friday as expected. And there's the big three.
