Holy crap, it was packed on the roads on the way in this morning. Like usually I pass maybe two people.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah? Oh my. You know what? You're right. It was. And everyone was going really, really fast. It was a matter of We gotta get this done. Right. You go fast, you go faster, you go fastest. Bam, bam, bam, bam. Actually, I almost had a deer, actually two deer this morning.

SPEAKER_01

Oh God, really?

SPEAKER_00

You know when you get off at 52B, which is the Elmyra Heights exit? Yeah, yeah. Also like the Mark Twain golf course exit. And you, if you're coming from Corning, it's this big like circle around. Yeah. So I'm like, because me and this guy are going fast and faster and fastest. And I of course one. I was kidding.

SPEAKER_01

Um passed him on the inner loop.

SPEAKER_00

And right at the very top of that loop were two deer, and I'm like, No way. Yes, yes. Wow. They got out of the way, everything was fine, but it was like, oh my god.

SPEAKER_01

We almost bought you a new car. I know, I wish.

SPEAKER_00

Total that baby. Yeah, right? Oh my gosh, that thing is scary. That thing is so loud. My car. Every time I hit the remote car starter in the morning, wake up the entire neighborhood.

SPEAKER_01

And a girl, that's the way to do that. And she's never gonna get a mouth for she's like, that's my Ford Harley. Because I passed a Harley today and damn near rattled my soul out of me. They're just sometimes, you know, it's like, I don't have a problem with motorcycles. Uh-huh. I mean, sometimes they're obnoxiously loud and it's like, okay. But this early in the morning, and you get somebody that's coming up the hill and they're gassing that, and I'm like, oh my god. Yeah, I passed a lot of things.

SPEAKER_00

I passed a motorcycle too, which I guess is an indication that today's gonna be perfect.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah. Uh, well, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Because you're not gonna pick Thursday to ride a motorcycle.

SPEAKER_01

No, well, you know, it it looks like it's gonna be more rain, I think, tomorrow. Uh, Thursday. Yeah, Thursday too, probably. I think it's gonna taper later in the day. What? What do you have tomorrow? I have tomorrow's a random Wednesday.

SPEAKER_00

My friend Elena from college is coming in tonight. Hang out at your palace with the backyard and enjoy that. Yeah, but so she's coming in tonight at six, and at least that's the plan. You know where she's stopping first, which I've never been to?

SPEAKER_01

The uh cheese shop.

SPEAKER_00

No, you've been there, but I have been there so many times, and I love the cheese shop. No, it's um let me just make sure I I'm saying this right. I think it's Bald Eagle State Park. Yeah. She said, um, I'm stopping in PA to visit my niece on my way to Corning. As I was looking at the map, I found a beautiful state park about two hours south of Corning called Bald Eagle State Park. Have you been there?

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_00

I've never even heard of it.

SPEAKER_01

Is it it it's PA?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

No, I never heard of it.

SPEAKER_00

Two hours south.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. Nope.

SPEAKER_00

Me neither.

SPEAKER_01

Nope.

SPEAKER_00

If you have, yay, nay, thumbs up, thumbs down.

SPEAKER_01

I'm sure it's nice.

SPEAKER_00

I would think so. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So tonight It's kind of a wild thing to do all by yourself.

SPEAKER_00

Um sh Alena is a solo person. Oh. She's one of those people like even last year when she came to visit, and this is she came for the very first time in the well now 20 years that I've lived there, but at that point it was 19 years. And she spent, I think it was like a whole day and evening by herself.

SPEAKER_01

She's not things you can do. Yeah, you know, i I don't mind being alone if I'm going somewhere. I don't think I'd stop at a state park myself, or really many places. I mean, I might go into a store if I had to get something, but I'm like, I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

Do you remember last year that I went to Rock City Park by myself? I mean, I took Junior. Honestly, no.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yes, yes, I do. Wait, there was something about that that you were breaking some rule, weren't you?

SPEAKER_00

So I went, well, here's a couple things. I went right after trunk retreat. I wasn't sure if I was gonna go, but I went right after trunk or treat.

SPEAKER_01

I remember the rule break. What? The hotel with the dog. That's what it was.

SPEAKER_00

Wait, wait, but what happened was that's the part I remember. What happened was I had a gift certificate for a hotel and I was gonna sneak junior in.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, that's it.

SPEAKER_00

But they were full. I called them the week before, and then they once I told them I had a uh a gift certificate, then they're like, oh, we're booked.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, no room here at the end.

SPEAKER_00

I'm like, but you just told me a second ago you had room. And then I just showed up thinking, well, I'll just still sneak them in. And then they literally were booked at that point. So I ended up staying at a Hilton that was dog friendly, and they gave him like a little pup bag.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god, it's just like he lived like a king. Then he barked all night and woke the whole hotel up.

SPEAKER_00

No, it was it was a great solo. I would suggest a solo vacation, actually. Yeah. Ah, yeah. Not my thing. I did Rock City Park and then I also did the Kinzu Bridge by myself. Yeah. I mean, I had a dog.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I mean, yeah, if you have the dog with you, it's fine.

SPEAKER_00

And then I went and ate at a restaurant by myself and found people who knew somebody from Corning.

SPEAKER_01

Well, that doesn't surprise me. It seems everywhere you go, you bump into that.

SPEAKER_00

But it's so wild. And and the guy, so when when I was sitting at this this like bar restaurant thing in Olean, wasn't I in Olean?

SPEAKER_01

I think you were around there if you were in Kinzu, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. And when I said where I was from, and the guy said, Oh, do you know Ken? Blah blah blah.

SPEAKER_01

And I I I love when people are like, you know, yeah, because we know every single person.

SPEAKER_00

And I go, Oh my god, I do. He used to own bottles and corks. He works up at a winery on Cucko Lake.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god, she really does.

SPEAKER_00

His name's Maxa is yeah, anyway. I'm like, and he used to be married to blah, blah, blah, blah. Oh my god. And he goes, You really know this guy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you do.

SPEAKER_00

I really know this guy.

SPEAKER_01

That's a little scary, actually. I stalk him on the regular death.
