You may not realize that, but this is a huge crime. Also, an exact plot theme that is happening in Tulsa King season three. It turns out five hundred thousand dollars worth of bourbon was stolen from a warehouse list. And you you might not think that that is a big crime. You're like, well, that's a huge crime. It's enormous.

SPEAKER_00

It seemed like an organized group of criminals deceived one of our warehouse locations by getting them to load up about 11,000 bottles of bourbon into their vehicles, that being a semi-trailer, and made off with a whole ton of bourbon.

SPEAKER_02

1,800 stolen cases of knob oak bourbon worth 500 grand.

SPEAKER_01

It's a felony.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's a felony. And it's also organized crime. And that's why I'm like, this is exactly, exactly the plot of season three of Tulsa King. Finally, Stallone gets into uh, or man, Freddie, I should say, in the uh uh in the uh uh in the show. He gets into, well, you know, they've been trying to kind of go more legit, because you know, organized crime and all that, which there's never a really going totally legit, but uh it's all around the bourbon industry. Yeah, and big booming industry. And it's stolen like three times in this season.

SPEAKER_01

I feel like organized crime always starts at a young age. I worked at it's a place called Convenient Food Mart when I was a teenager, and we used to have a kid who worked there, and he also, him and his friends organized to steal booze from the store, but they did it from the back. So what they would do was oh my friend, I shouldn't tell you what they did. Well, why at this point? I mean Okay, well I'll tell you what they did. So they would put the booze in the garbage bag. So because in in Ohio, really quick, you can sell anything in a grocery store, you can sell any liquor, wine, beer, whatever. So they would take the liquor, they would put it in a garbage um bag, and then the one guy who worked at Convenient Food Mart, he would be like, Oh, I gotta take all the garbage, because that was one of his jobs, and he would take out the huge bottle of booze and he would put it in the dumpster, and his friend would drive to the back and then pull it right out.

SPEAKER_02

This seems like this honestly seems like a 16-year-old's organized crime, though. Like you are going to get caught.

SPEAKER_01

So that's what I'm saying. It that's where it starts. It starts when you're 16 working at convenient food mart, and next you know, your man Freddie, and you're stealing 11 bajillion bottles of 500 grand worth.

SPEAKER_02

It's crazy. Wow.

SPEAKER_01

Um, what also is a crime is Scott not Googling what people look like. Let me tell you what happened at Tags the other day.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I'm glad that we're going down this path. Glad you're about to enjoy yourself.

SPEAKER_01

I got a good giggle out of this.

SPEAKER_02

So Scott giggle, you almost wet your pants yesterday in the studio.

SPEAKER_01

I was at the gym after we left work, and I was still cackling just to myself about this stupid story. So we're at tags and we're backstage. But Scott was running late because he was stuck in traffic. Oh, yeah, there was a lot. So he missed that there was a DJ at the very beginning setting the tone for the concert. And the DJ is named Chris Washburn.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Something you need to know about Chris is Chris is uh, well, from Ithaca, but also Asian, okay? And Scott was wanted to do something that is very common in our industry, and he wanted to get a couple what we call drops uh from Trey Songs and also Ashanti. And it's basically like, hey, my name's Trey Songs, you're listening to the Scott and Alley show, right? That's basically what they are. Right. We record it and then we put it like before or after a Trey Songs song or a shanti and so on and so forth. So Scott kept asking me, like, where's Trey Songs? And I was like, he's back there. But at the time I'm reading that.

SPEAKER_02

And she just does a random point.

SPEAKER_01

Well, because I'm reading the script, getting ready to go on stage. So you were like, Oh, is he in like some sort of shirt? And I was like, Yeah, yeah, yeah. We whatever. He's like back there.

SPEAKER_02

And so See, I want you to keep I want you to hold on to that piece of the story because Allie set me up for a fail. I didn't think you were gonna be so stupid. No offense. Oh, wow. So that wasn't a little bit of pain that night, too.

SPEAKER_01

So it gets to a point where I see Scott back talking to Chris Washburn. Now, what did I just tell you? He's Asian, right?

SPEAKER_02

So I didn't pick that up, by the way.

SPEAKER_01

Um, I'm not sure how you didn't.

SPEAKER_02

I just didn't.

SPEAKER_01

So you know what? That's so great. You don't see color or cult or or any any difference in people. I'm so glad. I'm so glad. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

Aren't I still 2020?

SPEAKER_01

Now that's that's established. So I walk back to either get you or talk to you or something, and you I can see her asking this gentleman, yes, Chris Washburn, to record a drop for us. And I in my head connect right away, Scott thinks this is Trey Songs.

SPEAKER_02

Now, this is where Allie jumps in and she goes, you know that's Chris Washburn. I'm like, yes, I do, and I still want to, I still want to drop from him because he DJs, right? Right. I'm like, I'm bailing on this one, right? Mentally.

SPEAKER_01

After the word after the fact, I thought I shouldn't have corrected him.

SPEAKER_02

Oh no, you loudly corrected. You were like, that's Chris Washburn.

SPEAKER_01

Because I didn't want you to say, hey, Trey Songs, will you do this drop for me?

SPEAKER_02

And have him be like, well, yeah, it's but it but I'm Chris.

SPEAKER_01

Chris Washburn, right? So here's the other big factor for me in the whole thing. You have no clue what Trey Songs looks like.

SPEAKER_02

You could I've never seen Trey Songs a day in my life. You could have. I know, you know, I know bottoms up. That's the only song I ever know.

SPEAKER_01

You could have Googled him. Why? To know so you'd get the right guy.

SPEAKER_02

People start all looking kind of similar, you know. Like, look, I just told you I didn't even see it. So now a black man looks like an Asian man? I didn't even see. I told you, I didn't see that Chris had Asian features. Okay. So, you know, don't feel bad. That wasn't the first time that I thought that I walked by Trey Songs before you and I had to very quickly go on stage. There was another gentleman backstage that had a very skinny guy. And I'm thinking, okay, maybe he's skinny because Trey Songs is thinner. Well, you know, you sweat a lot on stage and you move around. And this guy had sort of an I'm gonna call it a ratty beard kind of a thing and all that. And I walk by him and I I pat him on the shoulder. I go, hey man, thanks for coming. Walk right by, walk right by, get on stage with you so we can do our things. That's two fails for me looking at like Nelly. I would know. When Nelly gets here, I'm gonna know what he looks like, especially if he still wears the band-aid, which I don't think he does.

SPEAKER_01

I don't think he does.

SPEAKER_02

I'm gonna know what he looks like. Shanti, you know what? Shanti. Nope. I thought Chris's girlfriend was a shanti at one point. I was like ready to be like, oh, you're both backstage right here. Well, no offense. They're not big names anymore. Okay, neither one of those two have had a hit in 25 years.

SPEAKER_01

But you could at least have Googled to make sure that the Asian guy wasn't the black guy and the black guy wasn't the Asian guy. I don't pick up Asian features on Chris. Oh my God, I'm gonna show you a picture because I took a picture with him. I was just dying laughing. Hold on a second.

SPEAKER_02

I'm glad you enjoyed yourself. I mean, thanks. First, thanks for setting me up to fail. Then thanks for bailing me out. It's not Trey Sogs. Wait. Well, that's actually you said that's Chris Washburn.

SPEAKER_01

I'm gonna post this picture on our.

SPEAKER_02

And let me tell you, did you see how quick I saved that dance? Because the second that you said that's Chris Washburn, I go, yes. And I want to drop from him too. And I'll play it on jams. Did you see how fast I jumped into that?

SPEAKER_01

I didn't. I thought I shouldn't have corrected him. Yeah. So this is Chris Washburn. Impressive move. Scott, this is a picture of me and Chris Washburn.

SPEAKER_02

Hang on a second.

SPEAKER_01

That man is Asian.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, in that picture he is. In that picture he is. I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

In real life he doesn't look it. So I'm gonna post this on the Scott and Alley stories, and you guys are gonna see.

SPEAKER_02

We should have seen what I saw. Everybody was Trey Sox.

SPEAKER_01

No, Scott.

SPEAKER_02

Bruce Barron from Hard Hit Productions.

SPEAKER_01

Tray Socks. Oh, the white guy with the mullet? Yeah. Mm hmm.
