I'm gonna come back in just a second here because I have a text uh about the work issue that's going on, and we have somebody on hold that I'm gonna talk to in a second, too. Uh in regard to this girl is very frustrated. She's been with this company for a long time. She's, you know, done her thing.
SPEAKER_02Even says I'm the higher up.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And now the colleague she works with, who she admittedly says that they're just they don't gel. But now this colleague, who's technically lower on the seniority poll, has started CCing the boss any little mess up that happens with the person we talk to.
SPEAKER_02And Scott's like, oh, you should start CCing every little mess up they do, but I'm like, come on, you petty B.
SPEAKER_00But at the same time, I also stopped and said, um, maybe everybody else around her is getting sick of the little mess ups because little mess ups finally get to the point you're like, oh my God, we're all sitting here either waiting or we have to.
SPEAKER_02Or I go, you've worked here how long and you're still making that stupid mistake.
SPEAKER_00I mean, you can't figure this process out. Anyway, let me get back to that in one second because I have to I have to deal with a text that came in from uh a Shannon. And she said, she makes a really good question. We tell you guys all the time, register on the app and fill out all the information. Because one, we'll never tell anybody your information, but it helps us if you're entering a contest or doing something, because then we have your information. We sometimes have to call you, sometimes we'll just email or message you. And she goes, If it uh, if it says phone number already registered, does that mean uh that we are signed up to participate? Now it's really funny because I opened up because I can see your information. That's how I knew you were Shannon. And here's the funny part what her phone number's not listed in here. Her email. I've got that, I got the address, I got all that, but I don't have uh That's interesting.
SPEAKER_02If your phone number is already registered, that means you're already registered. Does it mean you have participated in whatever said contest is? No, you have to hit the participate button. Yeah, and that's the same thing.
SPEAKER_00Because some things you want, some things you might not be able to go to. Yeah, right.
SPEAKER_02That's you saying, I like this contest, I want to win something from this contest. Would be it. Right, exactly. But the whole number part, hopefully that answers your question. I can look that up later to see to see if there is a phone number attached to this.
SPEAKER_00Because then I jump up, and now this takes us back to the work issue. 2815. See, I was just able to reference your phone number. That's how we do it. Uh-huh is I give you a little shout out by g list saying your last four. So 2815 says, it sounds like her manager has asked her to copy her on these emails. Oh, I wonder if she notices all the mistakes too. If she hadn't, or he hadn't, who whatever. That now she does. Now it's be because sometimes if you're the boss, you are legitimately doing your bossly things that you have to do, and there could be a load of them, and you may not have realized this was happening further back in the chain up, if you will, and it may never have reached the boss's desk until now.
SPEAKER_02Which is good because I used to have this boss, and he was my the the best boss ever, and he used to always say, When it gets to me, now we have a problem.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, right, right. Because you're that boss was doing things that they they have their responsibilities too. Anyway, over to you.
SPEAKER_01So I'm in the same situation at work. I send out purchase orders, and they're high dollar amounts. So we kind of have to have everything right. It's an engineering company, so even the period and the dash matter. And we have a second set of eyes that look over that purchase order before I send it out, and then he would always point out things and it would infuriate me and make my blood boil because I'm like, it's mostly right, or does that period really matter? And so now I just do my job 100% before I send anything for his second set of eyes because it makes me so mad. But he would CC the boss and the boss and I spoke, and he's like, It seems minuscule that he's CCing me, and I hate it that he CCs me because it's ridiculous, it's between you and him, and it's fixable, but he does it so I know how much you've mess up. So, like, he really, the boss is very open with like, he does it because he wants to call you out. And he's like, just you know, just do better. And I was like, Okay, fine. And it doesn't happen anymore, because I just I don't want this person number one to come to my desk and say, You did this wrong, or C C or email because it makes me want to throw punch them. So I in order to calm myself at work, I just do my job 100%. But the boss knows what's happening. Like, my boss totally knew and was like, Yeah, he's doing it because not that he wants your job, but he also wants you to just do better. So maybe this girl doesn't want the job, but she may either have to fix it and I got two questions. I'm gonna interrupt you.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna interrupt you, Natalie, because I have two questions. One, yeah, um, were you new when you were making the mistakes?
SPEAKER_01Yeah. It was like it was our first like couple years. I've been here 10 years now and it doesn't happen.
SPEAKER_00Uh okay. So you're telling me somebody calling you out made you step up your game and do your job right.
SPEAKER_01Yep. Also, yeah, yep.
SPEAKER_02Okay, I just want to understand the story that I'm told. You know what that means? That the boss wasn't the one who was encouraging it or holding you accountable.
SPEAKER_00The boss said he hated the emails.
SPEAKER_02Right, right, right. But I think that's so funny because that's what the boss is supposed to be doing. So now and now everything's on paper. So, and and I'm not saying that the boss is getting ousted, but if the boss ever wanted to get ousted, they could, because it's like, well, you're not doing your job either because you weren't holding these people accountable.
SPEAKER_00But either way, your point being the boss was getting, well, two things. You the the boss did not say do it, because that's the thing that we're wondering. Allie brought that up. Did the boss say for this case, well, the only way that we can oust her is if you do this. Like as in though, I'm gonna go. Right. Right. Do you like my idea of she should start doing it back?
SPEAKER_01Oh, I don't know. They like petty becomes petty. Petty on petty isn't really a good sandwich to have.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but sometimes calling out petty is a nice thing to do.
SPEAKER_01Well, that's why I said communicate first. Yeah, I think that she should go to the boss. Like, I like I have talked to my boss about it, and I was like, Oh, it's so infuriating when he does that. And he's like, Yeah, he told me why he's doing it, just uh I know what's going on. So the boss is probably wise to it, whether he told her to keep track of the mistakes. Hey, look on the bright side going on.
SPEAKER_00You said the boss in your case knew what was going on. He must have liked you enough to keep you around, even though you were a screw up. That's a good sign. Yeah, ten years.
