It is gonna be another day of uh pretty hot humid and not the heat advisory like we had yesterday where you walk outside, you were just like, this is this is awful. But probably more of the storms today. That ironically is we we got this cold from moving through. It's gonna spark them. Then we're done. Tomorrow, sunny, uh 86, perfect.
SPEAKER_00Perfect. I will be at holy smokes starting at noon tomorrow. They've been doing their grand opening sale, and there's gonna be free pizza, free ice cream, and on top of that, deals on deals on deals on your favorite flour, cannabis, edibles, whatever your whatever your flavor is, they'll have that tomorrow, and I'll be there from noon to two. If that's your thing, have at it tomorrow. Yes, yeah. It's the new location, which is right across from Pudgy's on Main Street.
SPEAKER_01Uh, by the way, I also want to remind you uh that we are gonna give away more Nelly tickets today. They go on sale later this morning. We'll get to that as we move through a little bit more here. But you said you had a question about Big Boy.
SPEAKER_00Okay, because uh this was really late in the game, and I wish I would have thought of it sooner, but now there was all of this hype about Big Boy, but it was just like the day of day before. Yeah. So yesterday morning I started saying, we should put speakers on the roof. There's gonna be a ton of people here. There it's gonna be a party. And what if we get like an ice cream truck? It's gonna be one of the hottest days. Well, around showtime and after the show, a couple um ice cream trucks were called and they said they couldn't do it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Was it the atmosphere here that that would have been ideal?
SPEAKER_01No. Uh, everybody was either across the street from the radio station. There were only four people that were on the on our property, except for us up on the roof. Yeah, everybody was across so we have this company called CAF across the street. They make train cars. Yeah, they were packed. Uh, I believe the Heights brought out their ladder truck and they had a massive American flag uh draped down so that as Big Boy went by, you know, that would be part of the ambiance. Yeah. Um, like I said, the Valero parking lot was wall to wall, uh, which is the big gas station across the street, kind of kiddie corner to us. Um I don't know about how the golf course, how the Mark Twain further down was set up because you got a lot of parking there and a lot of open area. Yep. Uh that and and clear view of the uh tracks from right there. Yeah. It interestingly enough, it was not this this property right here, yeah. For that, people were getting closer. Hence, like I said, you had people walking the tracks and and being told to get off and all that stuff. They just huddled all in there. It was like, what are you guys doing?
SPEAKER_00Speaking of, somebody said, Scott is right, so many idiots out there. Twin Tiers finest on display.
SPEAKER_01Uh it really was yesterday. I said that yesterday on the roof. I'm like, what are you guys thinking? You know, I can't wait now to party in the park on the uh 27th. Hey, uh, with all the same people that were walking the railroad tracks, do you guys want a lighter and go up and launch the uh fireworks by hand yourself?
SPEAKER_00Well, and I don't want to I don't want to say idiots, but like, go on.
SPEAKER_01Well, that is a level of stupid.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and then this one you want the idiots that play on the tracks to teach their kids not to play on the tracks?
SPEAKER_01I I call it thinning the herd, my friends. You know, Ellie says stupid games, stupid prizes. I call it thinning the herd. Just deal with it.
SPEAKER_00That's right. Also, good everyone. It's Friday. That's from 1132-4441 T G I F. Uh, who else did we have? Oh, wait, wait, wait. Oh, I got a message from this guy yesterday. 0808. I have to go back. What did I get a message from him about? It's been a busy week. It's it has been a busy week, but it was something that caught my attention. Anyway, read some of the other text messages. Let me see if I can find it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, let's see here. Uh, did you do, let's see, good everyone, this fine Friday. Uh, we had uh the 414 big boy roll into Sarah, Pennsylvania last night. Absolutely amazing. It really was a cool, a very cool experience. Um it's funny, you got them in Sarah, our friends uh Heather and Dan, who listen out of Buffalo, they went down to Hornell yesterday, so they got the front end of the day, and they said it was absolutely amazing. Tiffany's mom went out there too. I mean, they live there, so you know, of course. Uh hope you guys enjoyed the rainbow photo on uh on your post. I gotta go back and look at that.
SPEAKER_00Oh, that's what it was. Yes, yes, yes. There was a rainbow. Yes, so the 0808 sent there was a rainbow behind Big Boy and Sayer.
SPEAKER_01I'm not surprised because those storms that would have passed through here either were on their way or, you know, whatever. I mean, it was it was that got real bad real quick.
SPEAKER_00Everyone go to the Scott and Alley Facebook page, and then last night I posted a bunch of pictures of Big Boy underneath. You're gonna see Chris's comment on there, and then Manda put one too, so you can see different aspects of it. It's which I mean, I I know all last night I was looking online. You know, Myra's crazy had a bunch of pictures.
SPEAKER_01Oh my gosh, everybody that well, from around here, if you have anybody, they it seems everybody saw it. I do love this one too. This one from 1336. Good everyone, happy Friday. Lucky enough, they live a half mile from where the Union Pacific Big Boy, number 414. Boy, they gave the whole official title. Yeah, uh stopped uh uh for the night. They're down in the valley too. That's it. So they said I got up before work and uh took a few pictures of it. Uh uh let's see, it it's they said it's quite the train.
SPEAKER_00It's cool. And they said many had the same idea.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, yeah, which is really, really cool. I don't know why, because you think about it, you're like, well, we're honoring transportation that has not rolled like that in over 60 years.
SPEAKER_00No, but you know what Zach and I said yesterday? We want to take a train ride now. Now, this is something he's been saying for a long time, and I'm like, I don't know, I don't know. My parents did it once and they loved it. I do too. I want to do one. So we're going to Chicago in September to visit um Zach's best friend and child. They both live there. So we were like, should we take a train? But we're gonna drop off junior in Cleveland with Mark and Gail, of course. And I said, we can take the train from Cleveland. I think it might happen.
SPEAKER_01But if so, it might be a fun way to do it.
SPEAKER_00I want to get my own sleeper car. I don't want to be sharing some car with some Tom Dicker hair that you don't even know what smell they're gonna bring.
SPEAKER_01You take the top bar. Exactly. Oh no. I here's the thing. The interesting thing is I know a little bit about this because my brother Gary has done a couple cross-country trips and they've done the train trips. Ironically, west of Chicago, like Chicago West, that's where I bet you that'd be gorgeous. That's where the train rides really become. I'm gonna call it almost a luxurious train ride. Yeah. Kind of get the feeling from Cleveland to Chicago, you're gonna well, you don't need a sleeper car. I mean, I that you're gonna get there in the day. Yeah. Um, but it I don't know that Cleveland is Chicago. It might be riding a bougie greyhound bus, but then Chicago to if you were to go further west, yeah, that's where it really picks up in the nice, the the nice level of of quality of everything around you.
SPEAKER_00Even with the one time that I I ended up getting the um VIP package for the train. Now, this is not VIP, but just hear me out on this. I got the I did the elevated package for the train from Poughkeepsie into the city. Yeah. Where you get like a cushy seat, you get a charger, you have your own private bar. Even that, which was not that that expensive. Even that I was like, hello. Uh I'm not sitting with it. Feeling good on the choo choo. I'm not sitting with you, stinky people, because everybody in New York City stinks.
