Not quite as hot as yesterday and humid, but it's still hot and humid today.

SPEAKER_00

We're gonna go do a little wine touring later and antiquing. And I said, I do not like wearing pants in the summertime at all. She prefers just ass out. Yes, yes. I sun dresses from like yesterday on.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Do you remember speaking of sundresses?

SPEAKER_00

Oh I know exactly where you're going. Do you remember?

SPEAKER_01

Because then even like Dollar Generals were carrying them. Do you remember the massive? It you look like a woman in a tube, uh, but it was a it was a fat tube. And it was it was the the the summer dresses, and they were all- I had like five of them.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, I know.

SPEAKER_01

This is like a 15-year-old look, not 15-year-old girl look 15 years ago. Yes. And these were the these things, like, they look like somebody just took they're like, oh, this old bed sheet's gonna work out great. And I'm gonna take the arms off and I'm gonna have it just literally drag three inches on the ground. What the hell was this called?

SPEAKER_00

My dresses, there were some summer dresses, sun dresses. And my dresses were always so dirty. And yes, I bought them at Dollar General because I remember our our our old co-worker, she's not here anymore, unfortunately. Tanya, her and I would like go to Dollar General together.

SPEAKER_01

She was the master of these things.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah, and we would even say, like, oh my gosh, did you see the Dollar General in Sayer? They've got the purple one with the leopard stripes or whatever. And and Scott, are you gonna tell the bad part of the story? Which part was this?

SPEAKER_01

The part that they drug three inches all the material, like you picked up every single speck of dirt.

SPEAKER_00

How you called them trashy one day on the air, and then you got reprimanded from the boss. Yeah. And it was like, come on. The dresses kind of were like just- Now looking at it, I was like, and especially because I was wearing 19 of them. They were so trashy. Oh yeah, I was ahead of my time. The material, this is pre-Timu, pre-Sheen. Yes. The material was like Timu wouldn't even use this material. That's how terrible it was.

SPEAKER_01

I forgot I got reprimanded.

SPEAKER_00

It stretches so much. Oh my god. And you're right, collected all the dirt, and it was supporting nothing. My boobs were down to my knees.

SPEAKER_01

And and not that not that you need to wear something that accentuates your body or that we can see certain things. No, this thing was a fat tube. Like, literally, you put it on and it was it just was, I mean, it was ridiculous.

SPEAKER_00

Every woman was straightening their hair. Everyone had really dark hair. It was like emo met summer, and it was never good. At the time, I think we were like, we're so hot. Oh, look at us. And Scott comes in hot calling everything trashy. Well, it was a trash bag look. I thought that's what you were gonna reference. Oh my god, I forgot about it.

SPEAKER_01

I find it funny I got reprimanded for that and outlived that GM by three others. So screw you. And also, you was ahead of my time.

SPEAKER_00

You were ridiculously accurate. Two things Scott has been ridiculously accurate on. Sundresses being trashy. Well, at least. Well, that's style. Style and the Dollar General-ness of it. Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Don't get me wrong. Certain sundresses are very cute and very nice.

SPEAKER_00

And also, don't get me wrong, do I shot still shop at Dollar General? Yes, I do. Yeah. There's that aisle. I kind of have my thing against it, but I still find myself I'm like, I'm bad. It's like a it's like a bad relationship.

SPEAKER_01

It's the guiltiest of pleasures when it comes to the weirdest stuff.

SPEAKER_00

It is. It's one of those, like, well, you know, when you are in a in an abusive relationship, yet you still go back. You're like, I'm and I'm here. Oh, that made it. Although yesterday, Danielle. Wow. Danielle came to this one of my girlfriends, came to the radio.

SPEAKER_01

Maxi dresses! That's it! Maxi dresses. Oh my god, I just looked over to the text line. That was it. Thank you so much, 6730. Oh, and they're dying laughing. Three laughing, crying faces.

SPEAKER_00

Also, we have Nelly tickets in a second. But Danielle came to the station yesterday. Of course. Like everybody's here to see the train, right? They're here to see Big Boy. Yeah. And she goes, Well, I'm gonna go to You know who look like a big boy.

SPEAKER_01

Anybody wearing maxi dresses.

SPEAKER_00

I go, she goes, I'm gonna go to um TJ Maxx really quick because I'm not waiting around for this train forever. And I said, Oh my gosh, the language of my people. She says, You can come with me to TJ Maxx. I'm like, no, I have a house guest. I gotta go.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my God. I gotta read this one too. This is uh, and yes, we'll get to the Nelly tickets in a minute. Because now I feel we just set the mood for Friday. I'm not gonna lie. The first hour of the show, I was doing everything in my power to just hold myself mentally together.

SPEAKER_00

No, I'm gonna tell you, I am actually feeling a little opposite. You wanna know why? Why you're coming apart now? No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I mean, the first hour I was on on it because, okay, maybe it didn't sound like it, but because You'd never know, but she was all over it. I woke up early, not because I wanted to, but I had a second house guest this morning. She's her name is Flo. So I woke up You know what hides that well?

SPEAKER_01

A maxi dress.

SPEAKER_00

Right. So I woke up super early and I knew I had this day, which I mean, Scott's right. I fill my own days. So terribly. Your own fault. I overpack everything. So me and my girlfriend, we're gonna go and we're gonna bebop around Seneca Lake later, right? She got an Airbnb up there. We're having a whole sleepover. So um I decided I gotta get to the gym. I was at New York Sport and Fitness at 5 something this morning. Today? Today.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, you overachieve and be.

SPEAKER_00

So that's why when I came in, I'm like, I'm good. My mind is already. By the way, 5 a.m. I wish I could get there at 5 a.m. every single day.

SPEAKER_01

It was you and two others? It was awesome. Oh, by the way, we gotta we gotta send a uh shout out to Jess here. She just texted. She goes, You know it's Friday when you spilled your Starbucks coffee all over your seat as you're getting into your uh car. Happy Friday. Oh, Jess.

SPEAKER_00

And that's a $7 spill.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, that is a seven. Did you hear? What?

SPEAKER_00

We gotta get an update on the traffic because I see it right now.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, what do you got?

SPEAKER_00

Uh it says I-86 eastbound is currently now closed at exit 41 due to that tractor trailer accident that we talked about a little bit earlier.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Campbell Fire Department posted this on Facebook. And also, we had I don't know, one, two, three listeners say, get off at Savona. If you need to come to Corning, then get off at Savona and go the back way into Corning.

SPEAKER_01

Which we'll pack because I mean you're taking highway traffic and putting it on, well, a two, you know, a one-lane either way, roads. So you're gonna have a struggle getting in from the far west side of town today if you've got to get into Corning or even come to Almyra.

SPEAKER_00

Another thing we talked about was summer Fridays. Once we get around this time of year, people start working lighter on Fridays, even bouncing earlier on Fridays. You know, pack up, pack it all in. Monday through Thursday, get it done, get out of there, right? Well, then we get this from Luciana. A perk of my employer gives us early Fridays. We get it at two, but still get paid until four.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my gosh, Memorial Day to Labor Day.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I love your boss. Hey, you know what? The funny thing is, our bus does that too. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

But that's because he threw his hands in the air and gave up because nobody was doing crap anyway. We're terrible, you know.
