Before we officially welcome you back, I should officially thank 3386 for being the official co-host via text line yesterday for the Scott and 3386 show. Actually, he top billed himself. He goes, It's the 3386 and Scott show.

SPEAKER_00

And I'm like, All right. I guess we'll go that way. That's hysterical.

SPEAKER_01

Uh did a wonderful job yesterday, kept everything in check, and uh, I was very pleased.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, that's awesome. I'm glad. So it went pretty smoothly yesterday.

SPEAKER_01

It was fine. It was a Monday. It was like, yeah, okay, here we go. Let's get through it. For sure.

SPEAKER_00

Monday, we're trying to get through the rest of the school year. Oh my God, it just won't end. When uh we were hanging out with a couple teachers on Sunday. So Zach's two best friends are both teachers. One's a music teacher up in Buffalo. The other one is, well, listen to what he teaches. So he is not only is an English and a lit teacher, but also he teaches drivers ed. How fun is that?

SPEAKER_01

I remember my English teachers always being very calm. So maybe that's that's a good mix, see? Because you're gonna need to have a level of calmness. Oh, yeah. If you're teaching that.

SPEAKER_00

For sure. And I I kind of like prodded them both because they they're both really like chill, cool guys. Yeah. I said, Are you the favorite teacher?

SPEAKER_01

And they're like, Well, not really, because nobody wants to write anymore.

SPEAKER_00

Well, no, that's not even it. Because he just has like a really awesome personality, and he's like, Everybody has a favorite teacher. He goes, I think I am the favorite for some. Oh, but not the favorite for all. At all. Exactly. Like, based on what you're saying right now. Like, but but I said the weird thing is I hated math, but my math teacher in high school was one of my favorite teachers. Oh, that's interesting. Yes, she was just really cool and chill and just really relatable to students. So she never was she wasn't too much of a hard ass, you know what I mean? Yeah, right. Yeah, you know.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, you didn't do your homework again? All right.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, exactly. Well, not even just that. She just was like, you know, I'm an adult. I'm trying to teach you how to be an adult. Let's let's treat each other with respect. That's pretty cool. Yes, yeah, exactly. So So what show was it again you went to see? Wilco.

SPEAKER_01

Oh.

SPEAKER_00

So Wilco was like popular in the 90s, 2000s, but they were kind of like an underground.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Believe me, I didn't really know that's not the whole mainstream life that I've lived all those years.

SPEAKER_00

No, believe me, and I didn't really know a bunch either. I had to get a good Wilco education before I went. So we listened to a good solid two hours driving to Chautauqua, a good solid two hours of Wilco, which we got a little close.

SPEAKER_01

You got the concert. So you really had like a solid four hours. Wow, nice Brad. Tell me that you went because of your boyfriend without saying I went because of my boyfriend.

SPEAKER_00

That's 1,000% true. But what did I do? The most Alley thing that I would ever do. Did you rush the stage? I got third row. What I don't care about. What was that like? Um, well, okay. There's a couple things. There's a couple elements here. The first one is this venue is freaking awesome.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, uh uh Chautauqua?

SPEAKER_00

Chautauqua institution, yes. So freaking awesome, but also not full. So even the usher was like, we're not really getting wait, Usher was there too? No, the usher. Oh, the usher. The usher, not usher. Suddenly that show took off.

SPEAKER_01

Like, wow, I know this stuff.

SPEAKER_00

No, no. The usher was like, we're really not caring where you sit. And it and when she said that, we were both like, huh? That's really weird. So then we sat where, you know, like towards the back or whatever. And then for the second set, we're like, we're going to the front.

SPEAKER_01

Up you went?

SPEAKER_00

Yes. Yes, exactly. But the next day, and you know, can I say what I call this type of music?

SPEAKER_01

I I don't know what you're gonna say, so I you just have to go.

SPEAKER_00

This is the first break of the show, so I'm just coming in hot. Yeah. I call it vagina rock. Really? It's so like blem blem blem blem blank.

SPEAKER_01

Were you thinking Sarah McLaughlin might pop out and actually uh Sarah McLaughlin?

SPEAKER_00

Sarah McLaughlin would seem like a banger next to these guys.

SPEAKER_01

Oh wow, that just summed it all up for me. That wow.

SPEAKER_00

They did, they did rock a little bit. Don't get me wrong. They did. Yeah. But after listening to a good solid two hours, and we even got close to Chautauqua, I'm like, can we change it? I gotta listen to something else before I consume another two-hour concert of Will Cow. And and these guys, you know, they're they're totally like the alt grunge, into it. But all three of them. Like these three amigos, Zach and his two friends, they're really into it. They're like, oh yeah, my favorite album was Foxtrot Whiskey Biscuit. I don't like it. I love that, you know.

SPEAKER_01

This is great. So this is so great because you are the one normally that sets the plans and goes, You're being drug along for all my hell. Yes. And the fact that it just up-ended on you in such an epic way is pretty excellent. It did. I got all that.

SPEAKER_00

Did I have a good time? Yes, I did. I sure did. And the next morning. But it wasn't necessarily the music.

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_00

And the next morning at breakfast, I was standing standing next to this woman and I was like, But when you're omelette's the most exciting thing from the show. I said to the woman, I'm like, oh, were you at the concert last night? Oh yeah. Oh we got the colour. Oh, really? Yeah. And I said, What did you think? And she goes, Well, it was a little loud. And I said A little loud. Right. So I go back to the table. I said, Zach, you are so lucky to have found me. He goes, What do you mean? So I explained the conversation. He goes, Oh my God. I'm like, there is somebody who's like just as as exciting as toast that you could be sitting next to right now.

SPEAKER_01

So's Wilco. Uh so what was yesterday? Just like a recovery kind of rest up day or something.

SPEAKER_00

Well, yeah, we we spent the night there because they have they have a uh historical hotel that we stayed in from like eighteen ninety one, I think.

unknown

It was awesome.

SPEAKER_01

After that show, God knows you needed to shower off the agony. Oh
