This is a very nice text that came from 3836. Not to be confused with the not so nice text that come from 3386, but this is 3836.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I like the what the text from 3386. But yeah, go ahead.

SPEAKER_00

Uh this one is uh thank you for being the energy. Uh and they said I needed the morning that I wish coffee would give me. Well, you are welcome.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I I feel so good this morning, and I don't know if it's just because an extra day, you know, it does it for you. Extra day always helps, especially because I I just got stuff done when I got home yesterday.

SPEAKER_00

That's probably the best feeling.

SPEAKER_01

One of the things is paying the water bill because they they close at like one in the afternoon. Okay, it's four.

SPEAKER_00

But I mean, who does everyone else go? I know what you mean, though. It's like you're open on a rainy Tuesday till 3 p.m., not 3 01.

SPEAKER_01

And then, like, does everyone else go and pay their bill like that? Like I do, because I'm like, how else would you do it? Because I haven't owned a checkbook in 20 years.

SPEAKER_00

I do mine online. I can't believe Corning doesn't have it set up that way. I don't think they do. I'm always walking in. Oh my god, come on. I know, that's what I'm saying. I haven't lived out there in a long time, so I forget how it all works.

SPEAKER_01

Uh, I don't think that they have bill pay online. I know, exactly. How archaic. I'm like, is this because you want to see my shining face? Okay. Also, my bill was higher. And I know the reason why member had that leak in my toilet.

SPEAKER_00

I guess I forgot about oh yes, yes, I do remember.

SPEAKER_01

It was within the past three months, so I had a little bit of a higher bill. Ellie, I live in Corning and I pay my water bill online.

SPEAKER_00

Oh. So so does someone else. And uh, they actually sparked something in me. So for uh 1004 says, Corning does allow you to pay your water bill online, because we were talking about Ellie having uh, you know, you you have to go in.

SPEAKER_01

And I said, What do they want to see my shining face every single day?

SPEAKER_00

What also is perceived to be the very tight window of time that they're actually the window's open, you can pay.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe the second it hits four o'clock, it's like boom, boom, boom, we're out. Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Uh I was standing right here. I was next in line. See ya! Yes, uh, but no, I I don't, I'm not saying anything negative about the people that work there. I get it. Uh, but anyway, they say there's a fee involved. No. Can I just tell you can I just tell you my feelings on this? I've been kind of penning this up inside for some time. Oh, what would hold you back? I am so that much now. I am so sick of additional fees from small businesses. I'm sick of it. I'm sick of it. It's 2026. To me, that is part of your operating cost. Absorb it. Oh, interesting. I am sick and tired of having to pay extra for using a card uh to be able to do it or to be able to pay online. I'm sorry. This is 2026. Nine you have to hear this out now. 98%, 98% of your clientele, it doesn't matter what the business is, is going to either set up auto pay, which is digital, or is going to pay online, or is I, you know, and using a credit card. I I understand that some of the small businesses, whether it's a restaurant, whether it's a water company, whatever it is, I don't give a damn what it is.

SPEAKER_01

I don't think water company, oh, water company can be small business, yes. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Absorb it as part of your cost. I'm sorry, that's the way it is. It's not convenient, it's not a convenience thing for me anymore. Back, back, back and five, six, seven, eight, ten years ago. It was more of a convenience, although we were really still paying a lot online. I'm sorry. This is part of doing business. It should absolutely have to be absorbed by the business and stop laying it on me.

SPEAKER_01

I wish I didn't agree with you somewhat, but okay, I I'm kind of I feel bad because these small businesses, when they're using these credit card machines, they seriously rape and pillage you for these credit card fees. They're paying like $10,000 a year just to have that machine.

SPEAKER_00

And that is what really Which is highway robbery, and which quite honestly, why are they not going to their legislation saying, can you all do something about this? Yes, right.

SPEAKER_01

And but I also see what you're saying, which is easier to pass it off on me. Right. And that's what I'm saying. I'm like, oh my gosh, I I I kind of get what you're saying because I literally never have cash. It is such a rarity.

SPEAKER_00

So I And you don't write checks.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

And I'm always getting Esther does at Wegmans, I get caught behind her every other month.

SPEAKER_01

And I know 3% doesn't seem like a lot, but it it we are always paying the three point. Actually, I think it's 3.5 now.

SPEAKER_00

In in today's world, it is a lot. And I'm sorry that the business uh I would honestly feel better if they didn't tell me and it was just rolled into the cost of doing business. Yes. You know? Because now I'm like, oh well, if you're gonna actually use the thing we all use, because most people then I'm gonna charge you more.

SPEAKER_01

Right. Most people aren't using cash. You're right. Just up your price a little bit and just say, hey, times have changed, we've evolved. Because that that absolutely happens. Okay. So the let's say I you have to use cardboard in my business because 99% of businesses need to use cardboard in some way, shape, or form. And let's say that's gone up in price. So you have to you have to raise your prices because of cardboard going up.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Do it the same.

SPEAKER_00

I've got text on this coming in. I know there's different feelings on it. I just, and especially when it's something like a utility company like you're dealing with. Okay, maybe the Rando Taco truck, I can kind of take it a little bit more. But when you're dealing with the cost of utilities, come on.

SPEAKER_01

I'm already paying a ton in utilities.

SPEAKER_00

Everybody is. I mean, you know, but I'll come back to this. Three, two, one. You're listening to Scott and Allie. Scott and Allie's big three.

SPEAKER_01

First, we'll start with. Can't believe I'm starting with this, but I'm gonna start with this. Taylor Swift's wedding. The New York City mayor, Zoran Mandami, he actually mentioned a rumor about this when he was doing a press conference yesterday. He was talking about the Knicks finale, uh, 4th of July celebrations, and he said that the wedding is likely going to happen July 3rd through the 5th, coinciding with some other significant events. Yes, Scott.

SPEAKER_00

I we've been talking that July 3rd was the day.

SPEAKER_01

I know, but just the fact that he mentioned it in a press conference really goes, this is gonna be the I mean, I think it's out that it's at Madison Square Garden.

SPEAKER_00

It's gonna be July 3rd. That'll be that.

SPEAKER_01

That's what we've heard.

SPEAKER_00

Don't do it on July 4th because then you ruin everybody's holiday and you know that's not the right thing to do.

SPEAKER_01

And Friday weddings, the best. I love a Friday wedding. FIFA is mandating three-minute hydration breaks, pausing about 22 minutes into each half of the game for players to drink. And not since uh oh, and with this being this way, is because they're trying to protect the athletes who are playing in the extreme heat. But FIFA has also allowed broadcasters to cut to commercials during these breaks, which actually could be up to 800 additional advertising slots during the tournament. Oh my god. I know. And Duncan and Barbie Dream House are teaming up together. They've transformed a two story location on West 37th in New York City into the Duncan Barbie Dream House, an immersive, pink themed experience celebrating their new lineup of summer drinks. And there's the big three.
