Oh, you guys are bringing it today. There's no getting around it. We've got a pair of Nelly tickets for the tag show coming up on Friday, September 11th. Now, tickets are on sale, but of course, you know, we've got something to give to you, and we're gonna do that right now. Father's Day, right there. It's straight ahead of you, right? It's on Sunday. And uh we we thought this would be kind of interesting. Did you have a friend that their dad terrified you?
SPEAKER_01Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_00But you can't just say, oh yeah, my friend Mike's dad was scary. I mean, you gotta give us the why.
SPEAKER_01Oh no, my friend Kelly's dad threw a lawnmower. Holy crap.
SPEAKER_00Was he like, you know, swinging it around like woo!
SPEAKER_01Whatever did it kept on like, you know, stopping, puttering, but it got so frustrated that we were outside. You know, we're just like biking in her little cul-de-sac, and it's like and all of a sudden it goes flying. You see Terry, his name was Terry. Of course. You see Terry just whipped that lawnmower. I'm like.
SPEAKER_00Yes, we're going, kids, to the hardware store for a new one.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god, I never have seen my dad act that way. So it was like, Kelly, I I gotta go home.
SPEAKER_00Scourn! All right, Lauren, what's yours?
SPEAKER_01Good, are you? Good. Why were you scared of your friend's dad?
SPEAKER_02Okay, so it was my best friend, and one day we were supposed to eat our dinner, and he gave us milk with dinner, and I hated that. So um he lit we lived they lived in like a big just a huge pack of woods, really. And um, we didn't eat our dinner, so he surprised us by waking up at five o'clock in the morning and made us go forage for our breakfast. And then he shattered gear and he made us gut it with him, so we appreciated not wasting food.
SPEAKER_01Oh my gosh. Wow. That is intense. And I was terrified. That dad, yeah, that dad sounds like he was in the military. And you probably won't be doing another sleepover. And he wasn't.
SPEAKER_00He wasn't, and you probably wouldn't have been doing another sleepover at that house. Did you? Did you? Oh, I did. Oh, you did. You get we went back from order.
SPEAKER_01And then she brought her own cereal.
SPEAKER_00That's very funny.
SPEAKER_01Well, I want to read one of the text messages.
SPEAKER_00I know, because I got one when you with your comment about the military. Oh, yeah, go ahead. Uh, this one came from 8608. They said uh this one dad would always uh end his sentence, well, that's what I did in Vietnam. Terrified me as an adult. Or I mean, terrified me. And as uh adults, my friend told me he never ever served. So spend all those years that threat thinking he was a killing machine and he was just Steve. Oh, just Steve. He was just Steve. By the way, I love a dad.
SPEAKER_01I love a dad whose name's Steve. My one friend Jessica, her dad, I call him Papa Steve. He was a local postman. Nicest guy. Best calves.
SPEAKER_00Steve, you are destined. Best calves. Steve, you are d you are destined to be a dad.
SPEAKER_01Um, Ryan put, I've watched my dad rip a door off its hinges when my sister would lock it.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Yep.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that was that would scare the bechesis out of me, too.
SPEAKER_00Nothing is alarming when Dan snapped.
SPEAKER_01Right when he was like throwing lawnmowers and doors.
SPEAKER_00Ripping doors off at a killing machine like Steve.
SPEAKER_01We'll read a couple more of these text messages. Let's do the big three first, but we'll see who's gonna get these Nelly tickets.
SPEAKER_00Three, two, one. You're listening to Scott and Allie. Scott and Allie's big three.
SPEAKER_01I'll make this quick. Iran said yesterday that the deal with the U.S. to end the war is contingent on Israel withdrawing troops from Lebanon. Meanwhile, the Wall Street Journal reported that the deal, which has not yet been shown to Congress, allows Iran to immediately resume selling oil. And Uber and Lyft are saying some customers are getting charged significantly different prices depending on which you choose. According to an investigation by Consumer Reports, I actually always choose Lyft because I'll look at both anytime I'm using these services. And I noticed that Lyft is always cheaper for me for some reason. So I agree with that. And Apple is planning to introduce camera-equipped AirPods in late 2027, according to Bloomberg. And in sports news, Venus and Serena Williams will play doubles at Wimbledon this month. The first time the sisters have played together competitively since 2022. And there's the big three.
SPEAKER_00Um, how about a missing leg story coming up? Oh, yeah. And how about this line? I'm just gonna read the opening line, okay? I wasn't scared of my best friend Heather's dad. I was absolutely terrified of him.
SPEAKER_01Ooh, I can't wait.
