SPEAKER_00

Oh, we're back. Hello. Hi. Hi. We're back. We're back to normal for uh well a couple days. Yeah, yeah. I mean the rest of the week, right? Aren't you here the rest of the week or no? Well, Friday's gonna be interesting because I rechecked everything on the schedule, and apparently their last day is Thursday. So I'm Oh, I didn't know that. Well, neither did I. Well, see, here's the thing.

SPEAKER_01

Neither didn't I? Of course you didn't. I'm glamping. And I I call Scott. Oh, that's where you were?

SPEAKER_00

Yes. Oh my God, that's hilarious.

SPEAKER_01

Did I call you or text you?

SPEAKER_00

You texted me.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I texted Scott.

SPEAKER_00

And then I called you. I thought you were on your way to church. I'm like, oh, I can call her.

SPEAKER_01

No, no, I was glamping. I texted Scott on Sunday. And I think it was something along the lines of just confirming my calendar says you have off tomorrow. And then he he calls me and says, Oh, good thing you have it on your calendar correctly, because I have it on my calendar wrong.

SPEAKER_00

I totally did.

SPEAKER_01

So I didn't have Gavin and Lydia's last day on Thursday. Uh well on my calendar.

SPEAKER_00

So here was the thing about that. There's there's so many levels of confusion on this because now we're in every school district changing it up. Like Wednesday, I think, is corning pain and post. Finn Academy, I think they're doing three full days. Then you go to Elmyra and you're like, wait, are you going through? Because if you look at the school calendar itself, it gives you the impression that it's going through Friday. No, the teachers still have to go on Friday, but on Thursday, it's uh the kids' last day.

SPEAKER_01

So if And why do you know like Finn Academy and all of those other things?

SPEAKER_00

That's because of soccer. Because we have kids that go to all different schools.

SPEAKER_01

So basically, you were listening to other parents.

SPEAKER_00

I'm just juggling everybody's school calendar, apparently. Apparently, I've figured it all out.

SPEAKER_01

If Kelly and Jason are going to Friday, then that must mean that I must be.

SPEAKER_00

Which Kelly would. She's a teacher.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

So you see where everything is very like, what? Uh-huh. So at any rate, we're in the home stretch.

SPEAKER_01

But uh Okay, so basically you're not gonna be here on Friday.

SPEAKER_00

No, and and it's it's w one of these weeks where uh I for whatever reason, you ever have those days where you look at a calendar and you're like, no, this should not be the 23rd. This is supposed to be the 22nd. Like in your head, it's just off a day because I thought today was the day that I would be, I thought I was gonna be here yesterday, gone today, and then you know, back for a couple days. No, it was yesterday.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, our the person who takes care of our tracking our vacations, I guess, she had even asked me, wait a second, was Scott supposed to be here? Because I don't have this on my calendar. Yeah. And I then I had to I had to explain the whole thing, and she goes, Okay, because I thought he was gonna be here.

SPEAKER_00

Which is interesting because after you texted me, I texted that person and said, Heads up, this is the way the week actually looks.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, then why did she question that with me?

SPEAKER_00

Oh I have no idea, but I don't know. Chance to make conversation.

SPEAKER_01

I guess. Who knows? I guess. I have plenty of conversation to have though. Because well, now we're in the thick of party in the park.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Oh, this is this Saturday.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, so that's where you know, I I talked to her a few times yesterday. I mean, if she really wanted to talk, I got stuff to talk about. I don't know. Anyway.

SPEAKER_00

Thank god. Here's what I can say. Can we just all agree? Thank God the rain out is hopefully out of the way. Yesterday was a complete complete soak out.

SPEAKER_01

Totally fine. Get it out of the way. That's what I'm saying. Get it out of the way.

SPEAKER_00

Get it done for Saturday.

SPEAKER_01

I I looked Saturday because party in the park at Eldridge starts at two. And we have the fireworks as well. And I mean lots of vendors. And I was I was looking the other day and it would look totally fine. Actually, I should look in in an Elmyra, right? Yeah. Elmyra.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, that helps.

SPEAKER_01

I always have Corning as my Phoenix? I no, I have Corning as my as my um default city because that's where I live. So anyway, so I wanted to uh look yesterday and and our person, boss-ish. Yeah, whatever you want to call her. She was like, I heard there's rain. I'm like, shut your mouth right now.

SPEAKER_00

No, it's such a low chance of a shower. Now we could see something like Thursday and Friday kind of wrapping the week up, but no, I'm looking at like 81 degrees and just AM showers is what I have.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, well, who cares about that? 42% chance of rain, it'll be out of here.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you're it'll be just fine.

SPEAKER_01

We're gonna have so much good juju in this in this area, we're not gonna have it.

SPEAKER_00

No. I think everything will be awesome. We'll have an excellent party in the park this uh this Saturday. Don't miss out on that.

SPEAKER_01

And how was your day off yesterday?

SPEAKER_00

Well, that was uh the cavity-filling days. So How does Lydia feel? Actually, great. She was a complete champ. She had three on either side she had to get dealt with, uh, which is better than we thought because originally we thought there was another in there, and the doctor's like, no, we'll just keep an eye on that. But uh no, she was great. I mean, it did she get ice cream or popsicles? No, not afterwards. Well, that's for the sore throat. That's when you get your tonsils dealt with.

SPEAKER_01

Remember, I told you that every single time my mom would take me to the dentist, we would stop at McDonald's and get a milkshake.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, well, yeah, because your mom wanted to rerot your teeth right after he got the uh cavities filled.

SPEAKER_01

I thought that's what everyone's mom did.

SPEAKER_00

No, no, but uh she's doing great. She had no pain yesterday, nothing. Wow. So I don't want kids' drugs anymore? Well, they they gassed her good. She had the little nostril thing on, you know, the the nose thing.

SPEAKER_01

So what did you do the whole time? Sat there.

SPEAKER_00

Gavin and I sat there.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah? No, in the waiting room.

SPEAKER_00

No, we were in the actual room.

unknown

Oh no.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, they were doing Let me tell you, it has changed so much when they do uh when they do filling of cavities, at least at this place. So But doesn't it have the No, it's no, that is not at least, okay. So maybe the technology is different. So we had to go all the way out to Endicott, hence why yesterday was so up in the air. It's not like it was a nearby appointment. Yeah. So well, on top of the fact that there were six cavities getting filled, but it was all the way out in Endicott. So you've got an hour drive each way. And uh the technology of this place, because it is literally a campus. Anyone that's ever heard of Dinosaur Dental, I uh I'll just mention it because it's way out there. I have heard this place specializes, they must have 48 rooms. Wow. I mean, it's a full campus uh to do this. Well, their technology to deal with it with kids, way more advanced than like if you're going to the hack job up the road where they're like, me, me, me, me. So what do they do? Uh I I think it's much more of a sonic tool that they use where it's less invasive. She kept giving me thumbs up the whole time. So everybody, they're like, How you doing? She's like, Great. I even got a picture of her. I'm like, okay.

SPEAKER_01

Wouldn't you be afraid? My thought was if Gavin was sitting in there with you, I'd be afraid there'd be a noise that would affect him that then he wouldn't want to go back to the dentist. Oh. But apparently it doesn't sound that way.

SPEAKER_00

It's very different from what it was. Like technology, at least at that place, has has well advanced to where it's not like the old days where you're like, oh, this is gonna be awful for everyone involved.

SPEAKER_01

And I don't hate the dentist, but even just the thought of six cavities and the Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, thank God they don't use that anymore.

SPEAKER_01

Makes my mouth water. Well, when I go to the dentist, that's the noise I hear. Like even when they're cleaning it, they've got that that, I don't know, that electric it basically is like the massive electric brush. You're right. And it still sounds like that. Because, you know, they put the little fluoride or whatever on their their uh hand or in the cup and they tap Z.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah. Zoe. I have a feeling this place is yeah. I mean, you're right. I have a feeling this place is so advanced because of, like I said, forty some rooms. Kids, they can afford to get the really good stuff.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, for sure. Real good.
