What are you laughing at?

SPEAKER_01

The text messages that are coming in from you guys, download the Wink 106, Twin Tears Magic, or My Radio Jams app. And if you ever want to get in on the conversation with us directly, you'll scroll down to where you see the notebook or the microphone, and that's how you do it.

SPEAKER_00

It's super easy. It's super quick. I mean, if you're on the app, you just go who one time and there it is with your thumb.

SPEAKER_01

0042 says, wait, the chipmunk was inside your house? Yeah. In a mousetrap.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, oh yeah.

SPEAKER_01

With its neck snaps.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I do like this. 5610. We're about to have a murder. When we had chickens, we put out a bucket of water with just enough sunflower seeds to cover the top. I think you can figure out what happens to them. Oh God. We have to turn this into the murder segment of the show? I mean. No, except for oh, I'm gonna tell you what we did murder our knowledge of presidents. I got called out on something yesterday, and we have to talk about that.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, does this have to do with you and trivia? Yes. Go listen to any of our past four or five podcasts. We've been starting to throw pop quizzes in. It's been it's been an it's been an inexperience to say the least. Oh what?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. Okay. In one of the recent podcasts, we talked about presidents. And Zach came over and said, first of all, you have to understand Zach Walker is like the sweetest person I've ever met. And but he's a historian to say the least and a bird watcher.

SPEAKER_00

Enjoys a good round of the history channel, I see.

SPEAKER_01

He was Ulysses S. Grant for Halloween, okay?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, God.

SPEAKER_01

So he comes over, he goes, Your knowledge of presidents is embarrassing.

SPEAKER_00

Well, listen, I can I cut slack here. Sure. I would say if you know, this is the way I look at it. And because I look at it this way, we know it's right.

SPEAKER_01

Sure.

SPEAKER_00

Just follow that.

SPEAKER_01

And then I'm gonna correct ourselves.

SPEAKER_00

Just follow that logic. Uh-huh. If you know who George Washington is, if you know who Abraham Lincoln is, they're key important uh presidents, early, early presidents, okay? There are a lot of people in there that didn't do crap. They just sat in, you know, they just they were the but you know the the big three, okay? Or you know, if you know the big couple, you know, in the beginning.

SPEAKER_01

The second president, who's that guy? John Adams.

SPEAKER_00

But anyway, uh so if it turns out that, you know, you uh Is that true? If you know that I did say that with extreme confidence. Yeah. So uh if you know after that, I don't know. Okay, but that doesn't matter because you know George Washington, you know uh Abraham Lincoln.

SPEAKER_01

I like how you say it doesn't matter. Every history teacher is like, whoa.

SPEAKER_00

Well, school's over. So what are you gonna do? Fuck me now? I mean, come on, you got a half day left and I'll mire it tomorrow. But whatever.

SPEAKER_01

This is why our presidential knowledge is embarrassing.

SPEAKER_00

So, well, 50% of our audience says there's no other president but Trump. Oh, okay. So there you go, geniuses. So all the way. So if you want, if you think about it, old, old, old times, those are the two you really need to know about. There's there's other ones that are okay, but whatever. You know, then start coming more to modern times. I feel if you knew who FTR was, that was critical. He was a president during the Second World War through 98% of it until he died, right?

SPEAKER_01

Well, but what about like Nixon and Watergate? Well, I'm coming to that. Okay, okay. I thought you were gonna jump straight to like Obama.

SPEAKER_00

No, no, but that's actually kind of true. I don't expect you to know a lot about Watergate uh and Nixon. I mean, what else do you know Nixon for? I mean, there's not, you know, he he was crooked, you know?

SPEAKER_01

I was gonna say lying.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so okay, that's there.

SPEAKER_01

Then why do I know Bill Clinton? Well, you know.

SPEAKER_00

Well, we all know why we know Bill Clinton. Oh wow JFK is another one you should know because they were big moments in history.

SPEAKER_01

I have them on my wall.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, they were you have JFK on your wall?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it was an uh uh uh that was a thing for my Do his eyes follow you like the picture. Oh my god, yes. No, it was something that my grandfather had, and it was one of those like collectible plates. So I I hung it up.

SPEAKER_00

So, in your defense, if you know the big presidents at big historical times.

SPEAKER_01

Well, okay, but here's the here's the thing. In the podcast, this comes up, we talked about the guy who got assassinated in Buffalo.

SPEAKER_00

Well, and that is McKinley? Yes, that's only unique to this area because what happened in Buffalo.

SPEAKER_01

So so Zach says to me, I told you that story, and you you acted like when Scott was telling you it was the first time you heard it. And I'm like, I'm because in reality it was the first time you listened to it. True. And then one other one. So then in the podcast we talked about, we were I was quizzing Scott about the presidents on currency. So I was like, okay, who's on the dollar bill, who's on the five dollar bill, who's on the and then we went into the change and all that stuff. So he goes, first of all, you said Hamilton, not a president. Whoops. And then he goes, Franklin, also not a president.

SPEAKER_00

I'm like, oh, it's getting a little hot here. Yeah, Benjamin Franklin was not a president.

SPEAKER_01

I know, I know, but I'm embarrassed because I I literally You know what you do?

SPEAKER_00

You you stand. This is this is some this can be used in lots of different couples discussions, lots of different subjects. Okay. I know a little about the important things and a lot about the unimportant things.

SPEAKER_01

And I do, but here's the problem is I'm so much like Gail Payne, I confidently say the wrong answers.

SPEAKER_00

Which I appreciate. I do.
