I think you guys know how I feel about AI. Not in love with it. Not in love with it. But this guy is leaning in really hard on it. Give me some audio here.
SPEAKER_00I wanted you to read the father.
SPEAKER_01So do you know who that voice is? God, it's familiar. Michael Cain. Oh, okay. And he has now completely signed off and is authorizing AI to clone his voice for a new version of The Odyssey. I don't know if kids still learn that or if they read that book in school anymore. That was kind of one of those foundational books that you always read growing up.
SPEAKER_02But isn't there the movie out right now, The Odyssey? Or isn't there one coming out? Or am I thinking of something different?
SPEAKER_01Oh, I don't know. I just know he's doing the audiobook version of it. But here's the other thing is he's 93. I'm sure his voice has changed. And I even played this little bit of audio the other day of Tim Allen from Toy Story 5 and Tom Hanks talking about how their voices have changed. And before they did Toy Story 5, Tim Allen said he had to go back to a vocal coach and get his voice to sound kind of like how it used to sound. So I wonder if Michael Kane's going, I'm 93 and I just don't sound the same.
SPEAKER_02Well, I appreciate him noticing that because when people get to a certain age, usually it happens sometimes like later in the 80s or something like that. Another great example is Patrick Stewart, who, as we know, is oh, he doesn't sound like that, huh? No, he's he's getting the older man shaky voice. Now, women get this too. By the way, yes, the Odyssey movie. There is an Odyssey movie coming out. Everybody's in this. Elliot Page, Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, or Zendaya, uh, Ann Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Travis Scott. Literally, everyone's there all. Everybody's in this. This is like the big movie of the summer they're expecting. Oh my. When is that coming out? My God. What? That movie is two hours and 52 minutes.
SPEAKER_01Can at that point, especially when it comes to the theaters, can you pause for a good 10, 15-minute P break? Can we normalize?
SPEAKER_02You know, the last movie, I'll tell you a great movie, and 3386 is gonna laugh at this. Hold on, let me type this in. When does the honesty?
SPEAKER_01What, Gone with the Wind? No.
SPEAKER_02Well, that's another one. Uh come out. Hold on. I just gotta check the date. It is July 17th. It's so we're less than a month away from this coming out. Yeah, the tickets have been on sale forever. This is not a movie that I'm looking at going, it excites me. Like it's not that universe that really gets me going, but people are are really, really into this. Oh, yeah. So back in the day, yes, Gone with the Wind had an intermission. I I was just thinking. But also the Ten Commandments.
SPEAKER_01Well, were you alive in 1933 when it came out or whatever?
SPEAKER_02You watched this movie.
SPEAKER_01I I love Gone with the Wind. You don't remember? I didn't watch it in the theater.
SPEAKER_02No, they did it even uh and uh this if you ever had like the VHS release or the DVD release of it, many of them would have the actual intermission. Uh the Ten Commandments with Charlton Heston, you know, let my people go. But no, my question is there was an intermission. And they really did the the orchestra would come up and they'd have music playing and it was a pea break.
SPEAKER_01No, but my okay, so my question is let's say you're at AMC Theater in Buffalo. Yeah. Where you grew up. Sure. And you're watching the Ten Commandments when you were, I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't think it was. I never saw that in theaters.
SPEAKER_01Have you ever been to a theater and they actually gave you a pea break? I have not.
SPEAKER_02Did they do it for Avatar? Because that was another 82-hour-long movie.
SPEAKER_01That's a great question. I don't think I've ever been because there used to be a website that it was like when to pee this is yes, when to pee. When to pee dot com or something like that. But I I don't think that they would do that. Well, okay, they should. They need to do it.
SPEAKER_02At three hours and fifty-two minutes? You've I've I've had a drum of coke. Yes, I'm good here. I need to go. Either that or I'm gonna use that coke uh, you know, container that I just sucked all the way down for something different. I'll refill it if you know what I mean. I won't miss the movie.
